I know some of you all are probably waiting for an update for A New Pack but, have this story that would've happened after they moved the first time but before Hermione joined the pack instead. The chapter for A New Pack will probably happen eventually, sometime after soon but before never.
Harry and Draco were up and running the next day and Fenrir and Remus, of course, were following the two around to make sure nothing happened to the two.
Harry and Draco, of course, were ignoring the two of them and playing. Without a snitch they were playing tag. Draco was it at the moment and couldn't find Harry. If he would just look up he would have found him.
Harry had climbed up a tree while Draco was counting. On the many occasions, when Dudley would want to play hide and seek (read:Harry Hunting) hiding in trees would be the only place where he would be safe. Of course, this game was more about fun than trying to not get beat up, Harry let out a giggle.
Draco looked up having heard him, but he couldn't see Harry, the trees were too close together. Draco climbed up a tree to see if he could find Harry up there.
Fenrir and Remus looked up into the trees. Neither of them were ones for climbing up trees so they would just have to sit and wait. They both just hoped that neither of the boys fell out of a tree.
Draco and Harry were chasing each other through the trees. Their game of tag had quickly changed into a game of Tarzan. The two were swinging off of branches, climbing farther up trees, and jumping between branches.
"I can't wait until we go to the park on Tuesday" Harry said
"Yeah, then we can tell Hermione about this game" Draco responded
Harry got distracted and missed grabbing onto a branch after jumping from another one. His fingers brushed against the branch and he plummeted.
Fenrir and Remus heard Harry's scream of fright. The two ran over to Harry who was on the ground and Draco was on his way down from his spot on the tree.
"Harry, are you okay?" Fenrir asked, picking Harry up from off the ground.
Harry was holding his wrist in pain, but nodded his head anyway. The last time he had fallen out of a tree and complained about it, his uncle had clocked him in his cupboard until his wrist had healed, but not until after he had been punished for complaining. He hadn't been allowed to eat for days and the bruises seemed to take forever to go away.
Fenrir gave Remus a look and Remus got the message.
"Come on down, Draco", Remus held his arms up for Draco to jump into. "It's time to go".
Draco, frightened by what just happened, jumped down with no protest. All three of them were scared by the fact that the youngest in their little family could've been seriously injured.
Remus put Draco down in his pile of pelts and Fenrir followed his example putting Harry down.
Harry spoke up after they were settled down, "Can you tell us a story Remus".
Remus thought that maybe they should take a nap after the events that just happened, but Fenrir caught Remus's eyes as he pulled out his wand, behind Harry and Draco, the order to distract Harry was silently conveyed to him.
Remus thought about which story he could tell.
"Back when I was in Hogwarts, I had two friends, Padfoot and Prongs." Remus began "They became animagi, they could turn into animals, when we were in fifth year. On full moons they would come and keep me company. You see in the wizarding world werewolves are viewed as dangerous", Remus tapped Harry's nose "Even if we're not. Because of this the Headmaster was forced to lock me in the Shrieking Shack every full moon. As you might guess it was boring being in there by myself. So they risked getting in a lot of trouble to keep me company." Remus looked up to see both Harry and Draco yawn. "Every full moon they would come and help me break out. It was fun. We had all types of fun on full moons. Hunting, wrestling, and hide 'n' seek, there was probably wasn't anything that we didn't get into" Remus ended his story there
Draco and Harry had fallen asleep. It made sense, they had been running around all morning. Remus tucked them in and quietly walked to the other side of the cave.
"So his wrist?" Remus asked, once they were farther away from the boys.
"It was broken. I healed it", Fenrir explained.
"That could have ended so badly," Remus panicked slightly.
"Yeah, but we got through it. So you're going to be telling them stories from your days in Hogwarts?" Fenrir asked, not so subtly changing the subject.
"It was the only story I could think of," Remus defended, "If he hadn't asked out of nowhere I would've had a better story"
Remus sat down next to Fenrir in front of the firepit.
"We're going to have to come up with some rules." Fenrir said.
Remus nodded in agreement.
"No climbing too far up trees" Remus suggested.
"Most definitely"
Thanks for reading and stuff. I hoped you liked it. Also I might've used the phrase 'of course' a little too much in this chapter, but that's an issue for another time. See your writing next time.
