A/N: There are many things I would like to point out just to make the story a little bit easier to understand. Hopefully these explanations will be helpful.
1.) All six girls have the personalities and looks of all of Henry VIII's wives according to history, not the show. Cat is the counterpart of Catherine of Aragon, Annie is the counterpart of Anne Boleyn, Jane is the counterpart of Jane Seymour, Freckles is the counterpart of Anne of Cleves (who was alleged to have had some freckles), Kitty is the counterpart of Catherine Howard, and Cate is the counterpart of Catherine Parr.
2.) Whitehall High and the town of Whitehall, Massachusetts, are locations I made up based on Whitehall, which was a royal palace for King Henry VIII.
3.) There will not be a reincarnation of Henry VIII in my series; however, his siblings (Arthur, Mary, and Margaret) will have reincarnations who will be recurring characters in the series.
4.) The character of Mr. Hart is someone I created to be the primary antagonist of this fanfiction. I used Percy Whetmore from The Green Mile as my source of inspiration for him. Like Percy, Mr. Hart will eventually pay the price for his actions at some point in the series. Also, I made his last name be Hart as a form of irony since "Hart" is a homophone of the word "heart."
5.) The title for this chapter is the name of a song from The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. I felt that this title was perfect because it emphasizes the fact that the girls have gone through everything together and they always be there for each other as one.
September 2, 2008, was going to be the first day of a big year for the Tudor Six, a schoolwide nickname for a group of six girls at Whitehall High School who happened to be reincarnations of the six wives of Henry VIII. All six girls were entering senior year, which meant they would be planning their futures from this point with a lot of fun memories thrown into the mix. They were all apprehensive and scared of what the future held for them, as to be expected of most seniors in high school, but they also planned to tackle the year head on together. The Tudor Six were inseparable since childhood because they all grew up in the same neighborhood and saw each other's ups and downs since they were infants. Because of that, they made sure that not event their futures would tear them apart. On the very morning of their first day of senior year, the girls chatted in the hallway as they always did every morning before homeroom.
Cat, the athletic one of the group, was sipping on her second small iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts, to which Annie, the edgy, most sarcastic, and most talkative girl in the group, replied, "Girlfriend, I think you should save that coffee till 4th period for AP English. Gosh, I would take ANYTHING to stay the fuck awake for Ms. Speedman's class. Boring as hell!"
"I know what you mean, Sista! You have a point on that. Listening to Speedman talk is as boring as watching paint dry. I guess you're right. I should save the coffee to get through the class, but it is sooooooo damn good," Cat said.
After a second of silence and some eye rolling over Cat's coffee addiction, Cate, the tall fashionista of the girls, asked, "So, Cat, what are you thinking for a theme for Post-Prom?"
After noticing Jane, the artistic one of the group, lost in thought and with a look of sadness in her grey eyes, Cat said, "Maybe we should save our thoughts on Post-Prom ideas until a little bit later. Jane still seems pretty sad about Mike breaking up with her."
Cate nodded in agreement after having this fact brought to her attention.
Jane then replied, "It's ok, girls. Don't worry. I'll be back to my old, creative and cheery quilt-making self soon. The breakup just seems to be taking me a bit longer to get over than I thought."
Following a quick sigh, she then said, "Thankfully, you all have been there for me, especially you, Kitty."
"No problem, sweetie. I completely understand as I went through the same depression and sadness when Frank broke up with me after going to college. But the breakup made me stronger, and I never would have gone out with Tom if Frank and I continued to date. Just remember, there are many fish in the sea, and you are one heck of a catch that any guy would be lucky to have," said Kitty, the sexy and most seductively dressed girl of the bunch.
She and Jane then shared a quick hug and then resumed listening to the group conversations.
"Freckles, what do ya got for ideas for the next chapter of Earth Girl? I'm fucking dying to hear them since you called me last night and left me in suspense since," exclaimed Annie to Freckles, the preppy one of the girls who wore glasses.
"Hehe! I had to leave you hanging because what I have here in my notebook is a game changer! The big idea is that Earth Girl is on assignment to combat Mr. Sludge when she finds out that…drumroll please…he is none other than her long-lost maternal grandfather! What do y'all think?"
After about two seconds of jaw-dropping silence from the girls, Annie enthusiastically replied, "That is awesome shit, Freckles! Much better than ideas I had for this chapter."
She then added, "I have to admit that I had a major writer's block on coming up with Mr. Sludge's identity, so I ended up saying that Mr. Sludge happened to be Earth Girl's AP Bio teacher because, this whole week, I have been worried sick about AP Bio this year with that douchebag Mr. Hart."
After hearing that name, all six girls groaned in disgust.
Mr. Hart, the AP Bio teacher at Whitehall High, who while handsome and a smooth talker who bore a striking resemblance to Clarke Gable, was a thorn in everyone's side at school. For one thing, he was extremely narcissistic and never took the feelings of anyone into consideration, especially those of his students, fellow colleagues, and family. Second, everyone in the suburban town of Whitehall, Massachusetts, knew that he only got the position three years prior because he was the son of the town's beloved superintendent. Since he was basically born into the school system, he believed he was entitled to any job he sought out even when there were more qualified candidates. To top it all off, there were many sightings of him flirting with and kissing several other women during his two short marriages, both of which ended in divorce.
"Mr. Hart! OMG! I have been anxious for days thinking about having to deal with him this whole year," Cate complained.
"Me too, even though I already made it through all of last year with him as a study hall monitor. I am so nervous to find what he is like as a teacher," Cat said with a shiver.
"That pervert always gives me the creeps, especially when he stares at my boobs and my ass. EWWWW," Kitty lamented.
"Tell me about it! I cannot stand the way he compares me to just about every Old Hollywood actress based on just my looks and style. I mean, come on! He probably never watched a classic Hollywood movie before and only appreciates the actresses for their sex appeal. I just know he sees them, and just about every girl, as nothing but sex objects for his delusional sexual fantasies," Cate said followed by a groan.
"I usually can keep a cool, calm and collected attitude around most people I cannot stand, but Mr. Hart is the only person who riles me up to no end," said Jane.
"Likewise, hun. I try to keep my distance from him as much as possible," Freckles replied.
A few seconds later, Mrs. Beaufort, the vivacious school principal, said over the intercom, "Five minutes till homeroom, everyone! Five minutes till homeroom!"
"Well, girls, we shall reconvene at lunch to chat some more. Don't want another detention for being late to homeroom now do we," Annie sarcastically joked with a wink.
The girls all nodded in agreement while chuckling at Annie's signature wit.
"See you soon, girls. Remember, we are one," Cat said with excitement before all the girls departed to their homerooms.
