Hard
She was just lonely, like really lonely. In the world of love, in the city of law. she needed an escape, but there was none. The walls tight around her and so high thoughts on her mind. No one would see the way her eyes closed for a second or how her legs shake. With the pressure on her back, with everyone's trust that she will make it happen because she's Donna. There are bad times for everyone including her. Right now she would trade her life for an ease. There was no escape or that's what she thought. There's always a second option, but it's never the right one.
It's the second bad week when she decides it. She will leave, for a week or forever. It doesn't matter right now, she has her savings and she could live like a queen for the rest of her life but she's an addict for success and the power. Funny, how the world she lives in so different that she thought that she would have. A handsome prince by his side or a rich doctor. But she's alone. Not a single soul by her side. "I fucking hate this!" she screams, throwing her glass of scotch straight at his name the resignation paper falling from her hands at the same time, in the late night hours in the office hallway alone or that's what she thought. "I fucking hate you!" she cries. "I hate that you need me, but not with the need that I want." She trips over, crashing onto the floor crying. She's a mess and she knows it, and even worse she cant admit it to him. "I want to leave okay, I.. just.. need.. to.. leave… you" And that's when she's in pieces. she really is broken. She misses the old her, she misses the secretary work, the flirts with him, the stolen glances every hour. She had sworn to herself that one day, one day she can feel his smirk on her thigh again. But that day never came.
She's almost falls asleep on the floor when she feels it. A warm hand on her back, "shit" she murmurs. "Hey hey Donna, it's okay, you know everything will be alright." "I promise" the voice said. The next thing she knows is that someone carries her to Harvey's office "great, now he will find me passed out, tears all over my face in his office" Donna thought. She is finally on the sofa, almost falling again to the floor until he catches her again. "Who is you? You can't be Harvey, he doesn't care for me aaand he is probably sleeping with one of the waitresses froom some shitty place." She kept her eyes closed, she's too afraid. She hears it too, she's too drunk, way too drunk. "You can't be Louis cause you have muscles, oh my god its you MIKE. But why didn't you tell me." She finally opens her eyes when she feels the urge to see if its mike or some mystery man. "Why did you say those things Donna, why didn't you tell me you need time. Time to heal?" He hold her resignation paper in his hands. "Or that you need me, want me." She looked at the man behind the words. Fuck it is him. It is Harvey, she fucked up, and she knows it. He pulls her into his arms, there's nothing sexual about it. it's just… love.
She feels the drop on her shoulder, its wet and it's definitely a tear from his eyes. She pulls back, looking very sober for her state of mind and alcohol level. "You are so full of SHIT!" she screams and jumps out of Harvey's arm's, he looks so confused with so so SO red eyes. "The second that you find out that I'm leaving you suddenly feel something for me!" she pauses for a second to breathe. "I really don't need you. I just want you. And I really really really wish that this feeling will wash off" Harvey is speechless, he is so broken, so out of place. He has his head down not willing to look her in the eyes. Not willing to let her see how broken he is.
"The drawer." It's the only thing he can manage to say after a moment of silence, and finally looking up. "what?" She asks. "The drawer on the top right under the Ressler case, look." he tells her again looking right into her eyes. She goes and opens the drawer, she finds a flat box. She takes it out and puts it onto the table. "Look inside" Harvey encourages her. She takes the box and opens it. there is a letter and something else. she opens the letter, but before reading it she looks at him and he nods.
"Donna, meet me at the midnight, spent the night with me. With a good bottle of red and whiskey. Laugh with me, maybe there will be a little flirt, maybe not. A heel on my calf, pain in your heart and still a smile on your face, a beautiful smile on a beautiful woman. Meet me at the midnight under the stars, right where I wish I had met you. Right there where you feel like home, where you feel like there is no yesterday but only a today. Where you feel free, the only worry on your mind is how your lipstick and hair looks. The river on the back and a moon at the fullest. Meet me, take the flowers and my hand. Take my heart, sweep my legs right under me, rock my world with all that you have, and be mine at the midnight." -Harvey
He has so beautiful handwriting she thought, then she finds another letter a shorter one but not handwritten like the first. "You are leaving, that's fine, wherever you go I hope you find peace. I hope you enjoy your life there and don't you dare to look back." -Harvey Specter
"Maybe for a midnight." She says with a smile on her face, his eyes brighten like million fireworks on the New Years eve. That's when it hits her hard. He really loves her, within second his hands are on her waist pulling her in, her lips looking for him. And like million fireworks it strikes at midnight when their lips meet.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I don't know if I will continue this story or write just one shots. Please tell me what you think!
