"Baby don't you see, i'm not on drugs. I'm not on drugs, I'm just in love" Clary was just finished washing her hair, when she heard a soft knock on the door. "Come in!" She said while putting a mask in her hair. This mask always made her hair so soft, which her curls could really use sometimes, especially with all the demon ichor and blood that would occasionally get in her hair.

"You sing better than any angel I know of" Jace said sarcastically as he entered the fogged up bathroom, "I hope you are in love with me though." Hé pulled away the shower curtain and admired his showering girlfriend. He wasn't shy about it. He looked her up and down, and Clary could see he was getting distracted, so she gave him a kiss as a response and turned around to continue singing to her favorite song. Jace and Clary had been together for several years now, which made her feel extremely comfortable with him around. She never thought she would ever be as comfortable with someone as she was with Jace, but here she was; standing in the shower, singing at the top of her lungs, standing naked in the shower, while her boyfriend with the most angelic face in the world, was brushing his teeth just a few feet away from her.

She looked at him in the mirror as she rinsed her hair with water, getting all the creamy product out of her hair. While washing her body, she noticed it was time to shave again. She knew it didn't really matter whether she shaved or not, but she still did it. She just really liked the feeling of soft skin. She knew Jace wouldn't mind, or anyone for that matter. And even if it did, would that really matter? No. Because it was her body and she could do whatever she wanted with it. She scrubbed her legs and grabbed her razors. As she was sitting on the bottom of the bathtub, she got lost in her thoughts. The warm water on her back faded away and Clary started daydreaming. She thought about the first time she had told Jace that she loved him. They had been in a graveyard and had just slaughtered several Forsaken people; mundanes that had Angel blood in their system but did not exactly react good to it. Jace had almost died after Sebastian had pierced his lungs with a seraph blade, but thankfully Izzy had come to rescue and Jace was able to recover in de infirmary.

When Clary had knocked on the door she had seen Jace sitting in his hospital bed, with a bandage wrapped tightly around his chest. She had thought: 'What would I have done if he hadn't made it?' She couldn't live like that: without Jace.

"Clary? By the Angel, I'm so glad you're here.'' He said as he took her in his arms. ''Are you okay?" Jace asked her after letting her go, careful not to hurt himself in the process.

"I'M okay? You almost died and you're asking me if I'M okay? I should be the one asking you" Clary said surprisingly loud.

Jace looked at her with a shocked face. "I'm sorry, you just look a little tired" He said, with dark circles under his own eyes, matching the purple-ish color around Clary's eyes.

"No, sorry. You shouldn't be the one apoligizing, You are the one who is hurt, and here I am, acting like I'm the victim. I felt like I was going to lose you so I guess that's the reason why I reacted so... tensed" Clary was a little bit tired though. In the middle of the night she'd woken up and she had felt really nauseous. She went to the bathroom and she threw up over and over again. She thought it had just happened because of the fight and the after shock in her body, but she didn't think anything of it. "I'm okay, how are you? You know, since Sebastian pierced your lungs and you almost died?" She asked while she went to sit on the end of the bed.

"I feel great, I think that I'll be able to fight tomorrow" Jace said really convinced, but Clary shook her head. He always did this, recovering just to be able to fight and get himself hurt again. They had done this several times, and her response wasn't a surprise to Jace.

"No you are not, I can see it in the way you are looking away from me" Clary said and Jace cut the eye contact off again. She grabbed his chin softly and turned his head back. She looked him in his eyes, he looked back at her and Clary felt herself drown in his eyes. God, his eyes. "I love you Jace, but..." Clary stopped her sentence because she realized that this was the first time she'd said to Jace that she loved him. "I'm sorry, I don't know why I just said that. It's okay if y..."

I love you too, Clary." Jace said, cutting her off before she could say any other stupid things. He said it with a look in his eyes that said that she was the only one for him. That she was his. That he would die for her. And that nothing would ever change in the way he loved her. Not now, not ever.

"You know this is the first time we said this to each other right?"

Jace smiled "Yeah, but I mean it." Jace looked Clary in her eyes and kissed her softly on the lips. Clary closed her eyes and everything around her was swallowed into darkness, except her and Jace. Their kiss was the only thing she was focusing on during that moment, and she wasn't planning on going back to reality very soon.

Clary opened her eyes as she came back to her senses. She felt the water on her soft, milky skin. As she put her hands beside her on the shower walls for support, she lifted herself up. She rinsed the shaving cream of her legs and saw it disappear down the drain. There was a strain of blood in the shaving cream and looked at her leg. She noticed a small scratch in her leg, from the razor blade. The blood made her a bit dizzy. Which was a unusual for her, she was a Shadowhunter for the Angel's sake. The dizziness started blurring Clary's vision, and she felt her legs collapse. The last thing she heard before her vision went completely dark, was the shower curtain being pulled open, and Jace calling her name.

"Clary. Clary?!'' Jace opened the shower door and saw Clary's body giving in. His Shadowhunter reflexes kicked in and he ran up to her before she could fall. "I got you" He carefully placed Clary on the bed that he and Clary shared. It had taken a long time before Jocelyn and Maryse agreed to let Jace and Clary share a bedroom. But they managed to persuade them. "Clary, Clary wake up!" Jace was starting to worry at this point. He was getting scared. How could she pass out like that? She had eaten enough today, he assumed. Clary was a food lover and never skipped a meal. So that couldn't be the problem. He yelled for help and Alec and Izzy ran into the room without knocking, luckily he had covered Clary in enough blankets to keep her warm, for she was still naked after he had tilted her out of the shower.

"What happened?" Alec asked concerned.

"I... I don't know, she was singing and shaving her legs, and the next moment she's passing out. I managed to prevent that her head would hit the floor, but I have no idea why she passed out. We have to get her to the infirmary." Jace explained as he grabbed Clary from the bed, picking her up bridal style. ''Alec, call Magnus, maybe he can help and we can figure out what is wrong with her."
