**zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz**

"Ugh. Stupid clock!" Bra moaned, tossing her pink satin sheets from over face. She turned to look at the clock as it read 7:30 am. She didn't want to get up for school, but knew she had to. She had an exam in physics that accounted for half her grade.

"Get up!" her mother shouted from outside the door.

"Alright!" Bra snapped back.

Bra sat up in bed and stretched out.

'I hate school', she thought to herself.

Bra hated the thought of following in her mother's and brother's footsteps and joining Capsule Corp. She entertained the idea of being free somehow and maybe becoming a model, even though she was 5'2. The thought made her laugh quietly to herself. "I can dream, can I", she said aloud.

"I don't hear any movement in there!" Bulma shouted.

"I'm up!" Bra fired back.

She jumped from the bed and stomped loudly around on her bedroom floor.

"Do you hear that!"

She stomped her way to her en-suite bathroom. Beautiful indeed. Equipped with a Jacuzzi tub with a 50'- inch flat screen television that hung above, a sink vanity decorated in pink with gold trimmings, a custom pink Louis Vuitton make-up vanity. She loved her luxuries, but felt there was something more than being some spoiled rich kid; a destiny of some sort.

Bra gazed deeply in the wide crystal mirror. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath and began to meditate. She focused within herself, her life, her family and friends. She knew she was made for, but what could it be?

She let out a loud sigh and shook her head. "I know there's more to this. Isn't there?"

Bra opened her eyes, took one last deep breath and began to get ready for school.

Bra finally made her way down to the kitchen.

The table was covered in different types of food.

"What's with all of the food? Trunks doesn't live here anymore. " Bra asked confusingly looking at the mountains of food.

"Oh, I don't know," Bulma sadly replied, as she drank her tea. "I guess I just miss himl."

Bra stood in the kitchen doorway contemplating what she should eat. She grabbed a plate and grabbed a little bit of everything, and sat quietly at the table set for 4 and not 3.

As she slowly ate her food, she remembered where the real problem started between Trunks and their mom; it was the day she found out Trunks got Marron pregnant.

"How could you! What's wrong with you! Bulma screamed in the living room.

"Oh my God I can't believe you!" Bulma continued to scream, pacing back and forth, running her hands wildly through her short aqua blue bob.

"Marron of all people! Do you think slinging your dick everywhere makes you man! It was bad enough you brought your whores in this house, but Marron, dammit she's 17." Bulma shouted.

Bulma's yelling was a mixture of so many emotions-anger, frustration, disappointment.

"You're 22 years old, you need to grow up," Bulma yelled furiously as she poked Trunks on his chest with her index finger.

"You've gone too far this time! Too far you hear me! The partying and the drugs I can deal with, but this…You had no right!"

Bulma was in a fit of screaming tears. Vegeta stood silently in the corner in his usual manner. He couldn't stand to look at Trunks right then. He wasn't mad so much about Trunks being with Marron; however, it was the fact he chose 18's daughter, who he still wasn't very fond of.

Trunks sat on the couch looking at his mother with a blank expression on his face. He was more than likel;y high off something.

Bulma couldn't take any more of his nonchalant attitude to the matter. This was beyond serious! She put all of her humanly strength into her right hand and smacked Trunks right across his face.

Trunks looked stunned and rose to his feet from the sofa.

"Dammit listen to me! For once in your life, listen to me!" Bulma raged with tears streaming down her face.

"I'm listening to you?" Trunks screamed back. Bra could feel his energy levels spike. She was afraid he may hit their mom. But no matter how high he was, he knew better.

Bulma gasped in disbelief in her son's aggressive reaction.

"Shit mom, I know what I did, but I don't need you bitching at me about it!" He grabbed his jacket and keys to his motorcycle and walked out the door.

The sound of the motorcycle engine revving and speeding off in the distance made Bulma flinch. She stood in disbelief and tears. She fell onto the sofa and let her head drop slowly into her chest. She sat there not saying a word.

Vegeta walked over to console her. Bulma stood and hugged her husband tightly.

"He's breaking my heart," she slowly whispered, her voice cracking. Bulma began to break down as she held her husband tighter.

Bra watched quietly at the top of the stairs as the drama unfolded.

The confusion swirling around Trunks never-ended, but Bra found other forms of entertainment that didn't involve watching her family fight. At 16, she was the hottest and most popular girl in high school. All the guys wanted her and all the girls envied her.

She enjoyed the attention, who wouldn't.

Vegeta silently walked into the kitchen, dripping with sweat from what seemed like an intense workout.

"Mom made too much again." Bra laughed, finishing up her meal. Her mother sat beside her; barely eating anything at all.

"That's okay," Vegeta nonchalantly said, grabbing a large plate, "I'll finish it."

After drowning his plate with food, Vegeta took his place on the other side of his wife at the small breakfast table.

Bra smiled at her dad as he sat down. One thing Bra could count on, is no matter how difficult life gets, he still wouldn't give a shit.

She put her plate in the sink, kissed Bulma and Vegeta bye and headed for the door.

As she went to grab the keys for her small, economical car, she noticed her mom's keys to her brand-new Mercedes. When she peeked into the kitchen, her mom was sitting in her misery and her dad was face deep in his breakfast. She grabbed the keys and headed out the door. She jumped in the car and threw her backpack in the backseat. She revved the engine loudly and sped off.

She smiled to herself for getting away with taking the car, but inside she was crying out for her parents.

Bra sped off to school, ignoring every traffic sign. She pulled into the student parking lot, tires screeching and music blaring. The other students gawked at her for having the balls to make such a ruckus so early in the morning. She parked the car and stepped out pretending not to notice them.

Although popular, Bra didn't have many friends at school beside Marron. Even though her and Marron lived differently, Marron would never be envious of her. They grew up together, told one another everything, and shared the same interests of wanting to free themselves from their parent's expectations.

As Bra opened the back door to grab her backpack, a familiar voice called out to her.

"Bra!"

Bra turned around and searched the crowd.

"Oh my God Marron!" Bra squealed as Marron ran up to hug her.

"I didn't think you were coming back this week! I've missed you! How's my nephew?" Bra asked as they broke away from their hug.

"He's good. He's growing so fast!" Marron said joyfully. "I'm going to bring him over Wednesday so your mom could watch him. I know she misses him and I have a lot of schoolwork to catch up on."

"Yeah, she does, dad too. How's my brother?" Bra asked as she locked the car door. She hadn't seen him since the day Trunks Jr. was born.

"He's….Trunks." Marron rolled her eyes playfully.

They both laughed and headed inside the school as the bell rang.

"Wow, you look so good for a girl who just had a baby a few months ago." Bra clamored looking at her new fuller figure.

"Thanks. Me and mom work out 3 times a week, and between changing diapers and breast-feeding, the weight just falls off."

The girls got to their lockers and began swapping out their books for their next class.

Bra couldn't help notice how happy Marron seemed. She wanted happiness. She needed, craved, and longed for happiness.

After closing their lockers, the girls made their way down the busy hallway. They soon approached a familiar figure walking towards them.

"Oh my God, Goten," Marron screamed as she walked up to him, "what are you doing here!"

He hugged Marron, and then hugged Bra.

"I go here." Goten laughed.

"Shut up!" Bra said jokingly.

They all burst into laughter.

"Actually I just got a job here as a teacher's aide in the history department," he explained. "I also gotta keep an eye on my two girls." He winked.

Bra slightly blushed when he looked at her.

"How's my godson Marron?" he asked.

"He's good. You need to come see us sometime, we miss you!"

"Will do, if your mom ever invites me back to her house." He smiled.

All Bra could think of while listening to him was his smile and mannerisms-so charming. His boisterous laughter could raise the dead.

Her thoughts were interrupted when he spoke again.

"But hey let me go. Class starts in 3 minutes, and I don't want to be late. I'll see you girls later."

"Bye," they both said in unison watching him walk away.

When Goten was out of earshot, Marron couldn't help but notice Bra's face turning red.

"Oooohhhh I saw that. You're in love with Goten, I can tell." Marron cooed as they continued their walk to class.

"Nuh uh!" Bra blushed.

"Yeah right, I saw him wink at you, but who could blame him, you are sexy. I wish you were my girlfriend." Marron nudged her laughing.

"Sure, whatever," Bra laughed.

"Alright girl, this is my class. I'll see you at lunch okay."

Marron waived as she ran into class.

As Bra waived back, she felt someone's eyes on her. She looked over her shoulder and noticed Goten was still in the hall. Their eyes locked into one another's and for that moment it was just the two of them.

The final bell rang which broke their attention. Bra hurried away to class, but couldn't stop thinking about that moment her and Goten just shared.
