Hi everyone! Wow, my first fanfic posted! It feels like just yesterday that I was writing an Artemis Fowl/Pokémon/Story of Seasons crossover. In reality, I was in 5 grade, which was FOREVER ago. Sorry for rambling. ANYWAY. I hope you enjoy my fanfic! I know that the original male MC name is Johnny, and the original female MC name is Annie, but I prefer Teddie and Holly, so those are the names I'm going with. Well, that's all. Enjoy!
"Daddy? Daddy! Daddy daddy daddy!" My daughter's energetic squeals are the first things I hear as she jumps onto my stomach.
"Oof, Milly, get off!" I begin to say. But it's no good; a second later, LiLi soars onto the bed with a cry of delight.
"Good morning, daddy! School's cancelled!" She cheers.
"We're snowed in! Didn't stop the postman from coming, though." Milly pipes up.
"What time is it?" I mumble, trying to reach past LiLi for my phone on my nightstand.
"6 in the morning!" She declares, bouncing on the mattress.
"Wow, you really wasted no time telling me about this. Shouldn't you two be going back to sleep like normal kids?" I ask. LiLi looks scandalized.
"Daddy, we are not normal kids!" She says.
"Duh, he knows that!" Milly replies. They begin to bicker.
"You two, knock it off. And Amelia, stop straddling me. I'm not a gymnastics mat." I scold. Milly sighs dramatically and flops down on the end of the bed.
"No school today! No drama for a whole 24 hours!" LiLi sings as she leaps off the bed and begins to dance.
"Sheesh, sissy, is middle school so bad?" Milly asks.
"Yes." LiLi says darkly as her phone pings. "And, as it turns out, the drama isn't being postponed, after all." She adds, looking at her screen. "It's May and Jessie."
"Haven't you blocked them already?" I ask, turning onto my side.
"No. They'll get over this eventually and we'll be friends again." She says. A moment later, however, her face falls.
"Hand it over." I say. She sighs and hands me her phone. I begin reading the messages. "Well, even if they do 'get over it', you aren't to be friends again, anyway. Why didn't you tell me this had to do with Milly?" I say finally.
"Me? I want to read!" Milly says.
"No, Milly." LiLi snaps, grabbing her phone hastily.
"Ainsley, I don't care if these are the same girls you hung out with in elementary school. Ra- this- is wrong. Milly doesn't deserve to be treated like this." I lecture, snatching her phone back.
"Daddy, what are you doing?" LiLi asks. "Collecting evidence." I say, screenshotting messages.
"Daddy, can I please read?" Milly presses.
"No, but you can go get the mail." I state. Milly groans, and LiLi smiles. "And you, LiLi, can go feed the cat." I add. She sighs, and they both leave the room. Good. I have an email to write.
Dear Alex and Mary,
I'm sorry to tell you that your daughters have been causing trouble in the form of racist comments. I have a few screenshots of messages that LiLi has been getting from May and Jessie about Milly. I trust that you will deal with this properly.

I click SEND as Milly comes back with a stack of mail.
"Go give this to your sister." I say, passing her a glossy issue of Young Rider. She obediently leaves, and I shuffle through the rest of the mail. A small pamphlet catches my attention.

"What's that, daddy?" LiLi asks, walking into my room.
"Go get Milly, sweet. I'm pretty sure I hear fate knocking."
