Warriors father's power
Chapter 1
This is my first Warriors fanfiction. I'm so excited, I hope to get lots of reviews for this story.
The forest was on fire, although the flames looked beautiful, it was a terrible sight to see all the beautiful forest ablaze. No animal or person would think about venturing towards the flames.
Except for one cat.
Tigerclaw a dark brown tabby ran towards the burning area, his former home, Thunderclan. He had once served as deputy to the clan, but he was now exiled from the clan for trying to kill the leader Bluestar.
Thanks to Fireheart a former kittypet who had joined the clan and exposed Tigerstar for who he was, he was banned from Thunderclan.
After his exile, Tigerclaw moved to Shadowclan another one of the clans in the forest. Shadowclan had been going through hard times. Illness had weakened the once fierce cats and both the leader and the deputy had died. But Tigerstar was able to restore the fallen clan to its former glory.
Now Tigerclaw was rushing through the burning forest. He had decided to check on his former clan. He had overheard his former mate Goldenflower saying that their son Bramblekit was missing, so he was now searching frantically for the kit.
He was determined to find him before Fireheart did, because he had left to go look for him too.
He heard a mew, that sounded like it was from a kitten. He looked up and saw a kit up in a tree. He looked like a mini version of Tigerclaw. He had the same dark brown tabby fur he did and the same amber eyes.
"Bramblekit!" he roared.
The tree was coming ablaze. Tigerclaw quickly leapt up the tree to the kit. Bramblekit looked at the grownup tom he had never seen before. Although a bit frightened by the unfamiliar cat, he was relieved when he picked him up, by the scruff and leapt to the ground.
But what Tigerclaw didn't know as that Fireheart was watching he had seen everything.
Tigerclaw was just in time as the tree fell. Bramblekit hadn't seen Fireheart, but Tigerclaw did. He kind of hoped the burning tree had got him.
The tiny kit was hoping Tigerclaw would take him to find his mother. But as the tom carrying him walked further and further into the forest, he began to feel a bit worried as Goldenflower or anyone else in Thunderclan were nowhere to be seen. He was grateful though that there wasn't anymore fire.
The kit started scuffling and waving his paws trying break free from the cat, but it was useless.
Tigerclaw sighed, he stopped next to a river and set Bramblekit down. The kit started to run away, but Tigerclaw placed a paw on his tail to prevent him from running.
"Bramblekit stop," he grumbled. The kit looked surprise, he never seen this cat before and he knew his name!
"I saved you because we're kin," explained Tigerclaw. "I'm you're father."
Bramblekit's eyes were open wide with surprise. He didn't really seem to believe it. Tigerclaw could read his expression.
"Look at us" he said blankly.
Bramblekit took a close look at the cat for the first time and then at his reflection in the river. They really did look a like! the same fur color and eye color.
Tigerclaw smiled wickedly at the kit. "We are the same my son," he said in a fatherly voice touching Bramblekit's forehead with his own. "We are part of each other."
Tigerclaw picked up Bramblekit again. Bramblekit seemed less afraid of him now. Maybe he was taking him to find his mother and clanmates after all.
Tigerclaw took Bramblekit to an area surrounded by brambles. The two cats went through a thorn tunnel and to Bramblekit's excitement, on the other side was a hollow filled with cats. But his excitement died when he noticed that he didn't recognize any of the cats in the clan. He became nervous again.
Tigerclaw set the kit down and stood in front of him.
"Welcome to your new home" he said cunningly.
"But what was wrong with my old home?!" cried Bramblekit sadly.
"It was infested," growled Tigerstar. By weaklings and traitors!" he hissed.
Bramblekit was confused, what did he mean by that? He never saw anything bad about the Thunderclan cats, apart from the fact whenever the older cats in the clan saw him, they would frown at him or whisper things that he didn't hear. Tigerclaw saw his dumbstruck face and sighed.
"You'll understand when you're older" he sighed.
He then picked his son up again and carried him to the clanrock.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own pray gather beneath the clanrock for a meeting." He called.
All the cats in the clan walked over to the clanrock.
"Today there was a fire on Thunderclan territory," announced Tigerclaw. "I went over to see things for myself. While I was there, I noticed Bramblekit hanging from a burning tree and I saved him."
The cats all looked at each other wondering who the Thunderclan kit Tigerclaw saved was.
"Bramblekit is my son who I had with a Thunderclan queen when I lived in Thunderclan," explained Tigerclaw. "And I consider him part of Shadowclan now. As I assume leadership of Shadowclan." He held up the tabby kit to all of Shadowclan.
The cats all yowled in cheers by their new leader and the new addition to the clan. Bramblekit looked down at all the cats in confusion, but gave a small smile and waved.
After the meeting was adjourned, Tigerstar carried Bramblekit to an oak tree, in the roots was a den. Bramblekit was surprised to see that there was no queens or other kits there.
"This is the leader's den," explained Tigerstar. "Normally it's just leaders who stay in here. But I'm letting you stay with me because you're special."
He set Bramblekit down in a nest.
Bramblekit looked up at his father tiredly.
Tigerstar smirked at his son. "Go to sleep little one," he said softly, rubbing his head with a paw. "Daddy has something to do tonight and then I'll come join you."
Author's note; I really hope you all like it. If you've read Tigerclaw's fury, sorry if not everything is accurate, I didn't want to waste time writing all from the chapter where Tigerclaw watched Fireheart save Bramblekit. Be sure to read my other fanfictions.
