Buttercup walked out of her company exhausted , she had just finished work and was ready to go home to rest . After all it wasn't easy to run a company , once Buttercup reached her teenage years she grew to have a liking in economics , that's why she had been working hard during hight school and university and when she graduated , she started her own bussiness which was a huge success , that made Buttercup become one of the most influencal women in USA .

The moment she reached her car , she heard something.

It was the sound of a crying baby.

The green eyed woman turned her head to all directions of the sound with a confused expression.

' Where does this sound come from ?'

'When she heard the crying again , she realised that it came from an alleyway.

' I should better check out , it's not safe for a baby to be in an empty alleyway. ' Thought Buttercup as she followed the sound.

As she got closer she started to hear someone else.

" Shhh... It's okay kid , daddy's here , don't cry ." Whispered a familiar male voice.

When the green puff looked at the one who was talking, her eyes widened and her jaw dropped with shock and disbelief.

There was a tall man with spikey black hair and forest green eyes full with concern as he looked down at the child in his arms.

The man was no other than her male counterpart Butch of the Rowdyruff boys.

Other than the fact that she found Butch whom she never thought she would see again , she was more shocked since he was worried about a child !!

Ever since she was five , Buttercup believed that The Rowdyruff boys were heartless and never cared about anyone but themselves . As she tried to get a better look , she accidentely stepped on a can which made a noise.

Upon hearing the sound , the green ruff looked everywhere with an angry look on his face , helding the baby close to his chest.

" Who's there ?!"

Buttercup tried her best to stay still so she won't get caught .

"Show yourself !!!"

Yet again the puff stayed silent.

"I said SHOW YOURSELF !!" Demanded the green eyed young man holding the kid in a protective way.

Buttercup, knowing that Butch is aware of her presence , she slowly got out of her hiding spot and showed up to the ruff with a brave expression.

Butch was suprised when he saw her ; Meeting after 16 years was the last thing he ever expected . His suprised expression quickly turned to a scowl.

"What are you doing here ?"

Buttercup remaned silent for a few seconds before responding :

" I just finished work when I heard a baby crying so I went to make sure if the kid is safe and to my surprise I found you." Answered Buttercup as if it wasn't a big deal.

The green ruff blinked before saying:

" Well then go home ! I'm not in the mood to deal with anyone right now."

"What are you doing here ? You're not trying to cause trouble , are you ?"

"I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING SO JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!"

Butch's sudden outburst has caused the child in his arms to cry louder than the last time , both adults looked at the baby with worried expressions , and Butch tried to calm him down but to no avail.

" I have an idea to calm him down , just let me hold him."

The ruff looked at his counterpart unsure if he should trust her or not but seeing that Buttercup was indeed worried about his son , so he slowly gave the child to her.

He stayed silent as he watched her saying smoothing words to the baby with a soft voice , the child eventually calmed down and opened his eyes and looked at her , she simply looked back at him she couldn't help but notice that he looked like his father except his hair was light brown instead of black.

Suddenly her train of thoughts were inturrepted by the baby's laughter.

'So cute.' Thought Buttercup as a soft smile appeared on her face.

Then the superpowered woman walked towards Butch and gave the baby back.

"Uhhh ... Thanks." Thanked Butch.

"You are welcome. " responded Buttercup politly.

They both stood there quiet not having anything to say to each other , that is until Buttercup broke the awkward atmosphere

"So ... He's your son , huh?"

" Yeah."

Silence.

" What were you doing in an alleyway anyways , the kid could have gotten in trouble."

Butch took a deep breath , before giving her the most shocking response she ever received :

" I'm homeless. My brothers kicked me out when they found out I was going to be a dad."

"...So... You're telling me that you and the kid have nowhere to go ?"

Butch nodded his head while looking at the child with sorrowful eyes.

"Come with me. "

"W-What?!"

"You expect me to leave you in this state . You're coming with me now."

With that being said , Buttercup started to leave the alleyway with Butch following her , hopibg that he and his son wouldn't have to face anymore trouble than they already had.
