間/Ma
No. 1: どろろ/Dororo
The creek quietly murmurs in its bed, the fire sputtering in its pit is accentuated by the chirrup of crickets hidden in the bushes and grass around, a gentle breeze rustles the leaves overhead.
Dororo plops down beside Hyakkimaru, who has been sitting, facing the water for quite a while now; his sightless eyes staring across the water, seeing things that Dororo can't. Hyakkimaru acknowledges their presence with a slight turn and tilt of his head, and, if they are not mistaken – for the fire is burning a little off the side from where they both are sitting – a soft smile. Dororo retruns it.
Owls are hooting, frogs are croaking and above, the crescent moon peaks through the thin cloud cover here and there.
Update: I decided to use a gender neutral pronoun for Dororo, instead of constantly repeating the name.
