To avoid confusion, I'm scratching all seasons after Legend of Korra season 1. (Cause I've only watched season 1 so far).
Fire.
Air.
Water.
Earth.
Long ago, Avatar Korra, my most recent past life, saved Republic City
from the evil dower, Amon and his cult of Equalizers.
Ever since then the world has been in a constant state
of peace.
But years have passed and the cycle of the Avatar
must continue.
My name is Shira, and I'm the next Avatar...
Legend of Shira
Book One: Fire
Episode 1
- Avatar Shira -
*Birds Eye View over the Earth city of Ba Sing Se.*
*Crowds of people filled the streets, cheering and throwing confetti in the air as three automobiles drove down towards the Royal Palace. A large white and green banner hangs between the buildings saying, 'Welcome Back Avatar!'*
*Inside one of the automobiles, Avatar Shira, a young girl, no older that eighteen, with long black hair and green eyes, is waving politely at the crowd but doesn't look as happy as the cheering fans.*
*An old man, Pahru, wearing a White Lotus uniform, sits opposite her and she stares off into the distance.*
Pahru: Your Fire bending Master will be waiting for us at the palace, Avatar Shira.
*She looks at him, obviously not happy with her new title, and gives a polite smile.*
Shira: Please, Pahru, just call me Shira.
*She stares out at the crowd, no longer smiling.*
Pahru: Is something wrong Av- Shira?
Shira: It's just...
*She sits up straight facing him again.*
Shira: It's just happening all so quickly, I didn't even have time to pack.
Pahru: As I said before, the Avatar has no need of any-
Shira: Any worldly possessions. Yeah, I know.
*There is a long silence*
Pahru: I'm sorry... you never got to say goodbye to your family.
Shira: It's okay, I don't have any family. I'm an orphan.
Pahru: Oh.
*The automobile stops outside the Earth Kingdom Palace. Waiting on the steps of the palace is the Earth King and a young man dressed in Fire Nation robes.*
*Shira climbs out of the automobile, followed closely by the members of the White Lotus.*
*Her new teacher is tall, with short chestnut hair, light brown eyes and tanned skin. He smiles brightly as she walks towards him.*
Shira: You must be Master Luon.
*She gave a small polite bow which he returned.*
Luon: Just called me Luon, it's a pleasure to meet you Avatar Shira.
Shira: Just Shira, please.
*The Earth King stood forward and Shira bowed, a little further.*
Earth King: Please, Avatar, no need to bow before me. It is an honour to have you here, please come inside, we have dinner prepared.
*Shira nods following them all inside, the crowd still cheers as the large palace door closes behind her.*
*The Earth King, Luon, Shira and the White Lotus members are all seated at a long table covered in food.*
Luon: I wish to take Shira to Republic City for her training.
Panru: Why so?
Luon: Well, it's where he recent past life, Avatar Korra, spent most of her time. I think it will be nice for her to meet Korra's friends and family.
Panru: I do like that idea.
*Shira is watching them, looking upset that they aren't including her in the conversation. But instead of saying anything she continues to eat.*
Earth King: Then it's settled. I would like to offer one of my finest ships to transport the Avatar to the city.
Panru: That is very generous of you, your highness. But I think it might be better if we use the Lotus' ships, we'll attract less attention that way.
Earth King: Yes... I understand.
*He looks disappointed.*
*Shire suddenly looks up excitedly.*
Shira: Will we see any Metal-Benders there?
*Everyone stares at her and she looks back down at her food silently.*
Shira: I just thought learning Metal bending would be cool.
Panru: It might be a good idea to find Avatar Shira an Earth bending master as well.
Luon: Don't worry, I know just the person. I'm sure General Takong would be happy to oversee the Avatar's Earth bending training.
Shira: General Takong? As in leader of the Republic City police?
Luon: The very one.
*Shira looks to have mixed feelings at this but smiles up at Luon.*
Panru: I'll make sure to send her a hawk in the morning.
*The morning sun rose above the horizon, shining on the White Lotus boats.*
*Shira is leaning on the railing, staring out at the horizon. Luon walks up to her.*
Luon: Good news, General Takong just got back to me. She'll be happy to oversee your training.
Shira: That's good.
*She says halfheartedly.*
Luon: Is something wrong, Shira?
Shira: I don't know if I'm cut out for this. Only yesterday I was just an orphan, now everyone's pampering me and taking care me and I know they're only doing it because I'm the so-called 'Avatar'.
*She sighs, resting her head on the railing.*
Shira: I don't even know what it means to be the Avatar.
*In the distance Republic City appears.*
Luon: I'm sure you'll figure that out soon. And I promise I'll be there to help if you need me.
Shira: Thanks Luon.
*She smiles brightly*
Shira: So, where are we staying?
Luon: We'll be staying on Air Temple Island.
*Shira looks slightly excited again.*
Shira: Where Avatar Aang's grandchildren live?
Luon: You know, for someone who claims to know nothing of being an Avatar, you sure know a lot about them.
*She blushes. The ship sails towards the small island.*
Shira: I've done my research.
*Aang's grandchildren, Jinora, Ikki, Meelo, and Rohan are all waiting as the ship docks. Each one is dressed in Airbender robes and have airbending tattoos down their foreheads.*
Jinora: You must be Avatar Shira.
Shira: Please, just Shira.
Panru: Jinora will be your Air bending Master when you have finished mastering fire.
Jinora: This way.
*Jinora brings them up to the air temple and shows Shira her room. Soon they are all standing outside the temple waving goodbye to the Lotus members.*
Panru: Now remember Shira, if you ever need any help just send a messenger hawk my way.
Shira: I will, thank you Panru.
*The White Lotus ship pulls out of the docks and floats off into the distance.*
*Adult Ikki is suddenly jumping up and down in front of Shira. She speaks quickly.*
Ikki: Wow! It's so great to meet you! You look nothing like Korra. Do you have any of her memories? Or have you been in the Avatar state yet? Are you a master Earth bender? Have you ever been to a Pro-Bending match? Do you wanna go see one with me?
*Shira looks a little surprised by the woman's energy and child-like spirit, though she is in her forties.*
*Shira thinks for a second before she responds.*
Shira: No, no, kind of, no and yes I'd like to see a match with you.
*Ikki smiled grabbing her hand.*
Ikki: Come on, dinner's about to start!
