This idea originally belonged to blazingQuilava but they only did the first chapter. I thought that this was a great idea and deserved to be made so I decided to do it myself. Enjoy.
Long ago there was a world that was nothing but an endless sea, but one day two great titans came into existence. The bionis and the mechonis. The two titans fought an timeless battle until at last... only their lifeless corpses remained.
Since then eons have passed. Now our world, this vast land stretches across the remains of the bionis, is now under attack by the relentless mechon.
In a place called sword valley, there are ponies fighting a hard battle against the mechon. One pony started running from the battle "Retreat! Retreat!" he yelled as he ran. As ponies started running away, one pony ran deeper into the battle wielded a sword with blade of blue light. That pony is applejack and that sword is the monado. Applejack stared at the sea of mechon in front of her "They're advancin' down our weak right flank. For a bunch of soulless machines they sure do know a thing or two, but we'll see" she said. She activated her sword again as her two comrades discord, and tirek ran to her side "Applejack, we've been given the order to retreat. We're pulling the line back to colony six. That's where we'll set up the last line of defense" discord said. Applejack nodded thoughtfully "Yeah, that's a good idea. Any more time spent hangin' around here and we're done for" she admitted.
Tirek sighed in relief "Count me in. We got to get out of here" he said. Applejack turned to tirek with a smirk "Or we can stay and fight" she said. Tirek was caught off guard "What?" he yelled in surprise. Applejack had a determined face "We may die if we take a stand here. But stayin' gives us a chance to change our destinies" she held up her sword "We have the monado, with this the future is ours for the taking" she said. She was about to rejoin the fight but was stopped by discord "Are you sure you want to do that, your body can't take any more of the monado. I can tell" he said. Applejack chuckled lightly "Gettin' short sighted in your old age huh discord? I'm fine, don't worry. I'm still in control" she said. Discord smirked "Alright then, I'm coming with you. You'll need someone to drag your corpse home after all" he said as he readied his sabre. Applejack returned the smirk "As long as you think you still have the strength in you, old man" she challenged. Tirek got their attention "Hey, we've been ordered to pull back, I'm leaving" he said. Applejack turned to him "Well ah say you're coming with us. After all what would we do without those "she said, gesturing to his steel claws. Tirek growled in disgust.
A defense force pony turned to them "The enemy's second wave is approaching" he said. Discord looked to applejack "It's now or never applejack. Let's show them what we got" he said. Applejack nodded "Acknowledged" she said as the two ran into battle, leaving tirek behind. He watched them "What are they trying to prove. I'm not throwing my life away. No point dying in some godforsaken field" he said. He prepared his weapons anyway "Nothing for it. I'll have to use applejack as a decoy. That should give me time to escape" he said.
Tirek caught up with them and they saw two mechon running toward them. The monado's blade turned purple "Monado enchant" she said as the three of them were surounded by a purple aura. Discord aimed at a mechon "Eat this! Thunder bolt" he said as he shot a bullet. The shot connected and the mechon stumbled back a bit. Tirek took this chance to attack "Hell dive claw" he yelled as he delivered a three his combo that took the mechon out. Applejack faced the last one as the monado's blade elongated "Monado buster" she yelled as she brought the sword down on it with devastating force. Another larger mechon came out of nowhere and swung an arm at applejack. Luckily she was able to block it and slice it's arm off. Tirek jumped and cut it's other arm off. Discord aimed at it's head "You're in my sights" he said as he blew it's head off.
Tirek saw more coming "You've got to be kidding me" he said. Discord stared over them "It's their main force. Looks like they're hell-bent on taking us out" he said. Applejack didn't look shaken "They'll have to be if they want to beat us. Now, let's even the odds a bit" she said. Tirek looked around in despair as applejack activated the monado. Discord turned to tirek "You heard her" he said. Applejack use enchant "Discord, tirek. Let's do this" she said as they ran into battle. Discord and tirek took down a few mechon but applejack was tearing through them. Discord finished another one, then looked to applejack who was standing on a large pile of mechon. She seemed to be in pain and unable to move. A mechon walked to her and got ready to attack. Discord dove in front of him and took the attack. He groaned in pain and shot the mechon off of the pile "I'm not going down that easily" he said then turned to applejack who was recovering "Applejack are you alright" he asked. She looked up at him "What's it look like, I'm still good to go" she said.
Tirek laughed as he started backing away "I guess even a hero's gotta reach his limit eventually" he said. Discord helps applejack down from the pile and they notice tirek running "Tirek? What are you doing? That way is-" she was interrupted by tirek "Sorry. hate to drop this on you but it's the monado they're after. Have fun keeping them occupied for me! I'm getting the hell out of here" he said as he ran. Discord had a look of disgust "Tirek you dirty..." he said under his breath. Tirek turned back and smiled "Don't worry, I'll be sure to organize your funerals" he said.
A explosion sent discord and applejack to the ground. A mechon fortress unit approached. Discord chuckled to himself "Well it looks like this is it. At least our luck can't get any worse from here" he said. Applejack got up and activated the monado "Discord, take care of the survivors" she said. Discord narrowed his eyes "What are you playing at" he asked.
Tirek ran to another area of the battlefield "Those idiots. I'll just come get the monado when everything's quieted down a bit" he laughed "That thing's gonna be mine" he said. Suddenly he slipped down an incline and fell to the bottom. A laser sight appeared on his forehead. More lasers aimed at different parts of his body. He started to back up in fear "Oh no, please" he cried.
Applejack ran at the mechon with purpose "If you think the ponies of bionis are just waiting for you to pick us off, you are sorely mistaken" she yelled as ran into battle again.
I'd like to end this chapter with some info. The ponies will still be called either homs, nopon, or high entia but will be normal ponies. To make it simple I'll put it like this.
Homs are ponies that live in normal colonies and such.
Nopon are ponies that went to live in jungles and developed a more simple way of speaking.
High entia are higher class ponies that are known for their ability to use ether without use of a catalyst of any kind.
