Wave Point

Chapter 1 Nightmares?

The beginning of something amazing!

Ein's P.O.V

"MOM, DAD, WAIT DON'T-DON'T GO. DON'T LEAVE ME!" "sorry take care of your sister we will always love you my little baby boy. "MOOOOOM!."

I woke up sweating and panting it was not uncommon for me to have nightmares, especially about that night. 10 years ago my parents and I were attacked by mer-hunters. They attack creatures like us and sell our scales for high prices. Mom and dad had some good scales, so did everyone in my village. Everyone was them was dragged out of the sea by force it was horrible. My parents were a part if it. I saw them get harpooned right in front of me while they were protecting me and my little sister. We escaped but just barely. My mom and dad entrusted Marina onto me. On their last breathe they told me to take care of her and the will always love and protect us.

At that time my sister wasn't born yet she was still an egg. So she didn't have to see what had happened it was a lot better actually because she didn't have to remember it as I did. It took my sister 5 years to hatch. I thought she was dead after the first year and I had lost another family member I cried that night for a very long time. Thinking my sister had died that I couldn't protect her that I was an awful brother. Even so, I kept the egg, a few days after my thirteenth birthday the egg began to crack. I panicked and thought that the egg was dying. Until I heard small wales coming from inside the tiny egg. It was my little sister I had already accepted the fact she was dead. She was still alive inside that egg for 5 years. Her long tail was a very pink though a darker pink than most. Unlike mine that was red. Her hair was the same colour as her tail. Her eyes were red just like mine. Her fins on her were Transparent. That made it even prettier I knew that a lot of mer-hunters would be after her so I had to protect her as much as I could. Marina was the first words I said when I saw her so I named her Marina.

For the most part of our lives, we lived them happily without any problems occasionally Marina would wander off. She would get very close to the coral reef. I would stop her immediately and scold her I didn't want her to get taken like our parents especially since her scales were so rare. She was a lot weaker than most fish, especially cause she was born so late. Even the tiniest wave would send her flying. You see there are 2 areas in the sea. The deep reef we lived in the deep reef. This place was safer from mer-hunters since it was a lot deeper down. It wasn't the best place to live but it was the safest. But the fish here wasn't necessarily the friendliest. Some people would claim whole areas for themselves and kill anyone who refused to listen. I was one of those people I never listened even though it would get me all beat up I still refused to sit back and watch it happen. All those fights helped me become stronger at some point I was able to hold up my own against other fish. I could even take down a shark or two. Though that was a lot harder than it seemed. In a way, I was training, training for the day we left to go to the wave point. It was a thing I heard from one of the fishes. It says that the wave point can grant any 3 wishes even if that wish was to bring back the dead. It was just a rumour but I still wanted to go. I wanted to believe it was true. So I promised myself that on my eighteenth birthday I would go and find it and bring my parents back no matter the cost. Then there is the coral reef it is much closer to the surface but is extremely pretty that is where we lived before that is why the humans got to us. It was a lot brighter up there. Unlike her which for the most part is always dark, the sun never reaches us. Though it fine since all of us have gotten used to it and can sea (Sorry but that was the perfect opportunity) perfectly in the dark.

It was nearing my 18th birthday it was just 2 days away. I was already packing and helping my sister pack too. "Hey big brother," my sister asked. "Yes, Marina" I replied "Do you- do you..." she stuttered. "What is it you know you can ask your MANLY big brother anything," I said trying to make her laugh. "HAHA, you to funny I just wanted to ask if we really can save our parents with the wave point," she asked. "I'm sure we can and if we couldn't we went on an adventure which I'm sure would be fun. Don't you think?" I reassured. "YEAH! were going to have lots and lots of fun right?" "Yep! especially with your manly big brother by your side!" I said. "Yeah!" she screamed happily. Though I didn't know that things were changing a lot in the ocean. That wasn't for the better.

Chapter 2 Help?

I was just minding my business until. This shit head showed up. "Hey doll face. Won't you come with me" the man said.

"no thanks, you probably just want my kids isn't that right," I said glaring at him.

"I guess this isn't the first time this has happened now is it. Well, it is gonna be your last." the man said.

"You are right about the first part people often walk up to me attacking me so they can do it and have my kids. But the second part is wrong. This isn't gonna be my last this is gonna be your last day. If you know what I mean." I said with a smirk raising my fist.

"Well guess that makes sense. If I breed with you my kids would be far superior to that of a normal fish they would be amazing and so much stronger than most fish. But guess what I don't want my kids to be more superior to me. It took a while but I found out a way for me to get that power for myself. It involves sucking all your life force..." He smiled.

"You're sick, but what makes you think I'll go down without a fight," I said getting ready to attack.

"Well because of this." he raised his hand only to reveal a piece of coral. "Here you go now come you have nowhere to run" he smiled coming closer to me.

The coral was my only weakness it was deep blue coral. It was so rare that people didn't even know of its existence. If it touched me enough times I could die. "b-but h-how?" I said swimming back.

"Oh this, It was very difficult to find it took a few years but it was all worth it. I planned this for years now you have to where to swim."

I looked around only to realise I was surrounded by a bunch of men all holding the coral. I looked around for an exit but I couldn't find anywhere out except..."Do I really have nowhere?" I said with a smirk. With that, I swam up that was probably the fastest I have ever swum up before. I swam up and out of the ring. "SEE YA SUCKERS!" I shouted as I swam away.

"WHAT ARE YOU ALL LOOKING AT AFTER HIM!" the man shouted at his men. One of them threw their coral at me. It only grazed me but it took a big toll on to my body. I slowed down significantly and they were catching up. Was this the end was I really gonna be some man's sick experiment was I really gonna die. I hate this body why was I born like this. I didn't want to be a coral fish...why...

"Okay let's g-, oh wait I forgot to get snacks and we can't have an adventure without snacks now can we. I'm going to get snacks from Fish shop. I'll be back soon."

I left our house to head towards the fish store. While I was heading there I saw probably the most attractive fish I had ever seen. He was blonde and had the most beautiful tail I had ever seen. His tale was red and white. It almost looked like he was glowing. Something was wrong he seemed to be running, running away from something. There were 3 fish after him and it didn't look to be about something good. Without thinking I ran over there I was about to attack the people chasing him. Only to be stopped by one of his group.

"Ugh, let me go" I shouted trying to get out of this guy enormously strong grip. I couldn't get out of his grip. The only way out was to bite him. I bit his arm hard. With my teeth, I was told that my teeth could rival that of a shark's even though I was only a fish. The man let go of me and grabbed his arm. In that split second, I swam faster than I ever could.

? P.O.V.

Just as I was about to get caught some fish jumped in front of me and shielded me. He looked so bright in this dark place, almost like the sun I wished to see again.

"WHO ARE YOU!" the man shouted.

"Me? I'm the manliest fish here, that's who I am. Ganging up on this fish who did nothing wrong" the mysterious fish said. "can you still swim?" he asked me. All I could do was shake my head no. "Okay well that changes the plan, not that I had one." he laughed. His optimism even in this situation lifted my spirits a little. "Boys attack that fish" the man shouted at his men. "Okay here I go!" the redhead shouted. Instead of fighting like I thought he would he grabbed me and threw me over his shoulders. "Hold on okay" he whispered in my ear. He suddenly took off. Swimming as fast as he could away from them. Even they were confused but by the time they realised what was happening we were long gone.

Chapter 3 Help?

Ein's P.O.V.

I swam and swam until I found a safe place for us to hide. "I-I *huff* think we made it far enough for them not to catch us," I said out of breath from swimming so fast. After we calmed down a bit I was finally able to look at him. He was a lot prettier close up than from a distance. All I could do was stare.

"Why did you help?" He asked. Interrupting my thoughts.

"Ugh...well...when I see someone in trouble I can't help but want to help them. So before I realised what I was doing I was already on my way to help you." I said with a smile.

"Well I didn't need your help I could have handled it on my own. It was my business, not yours. Don't stick your tail in where it doesn't belong!" He said with a pout. He looked so cute.

"Well, it didn't look like you were handling it." I teased. His face became a light pinkish colour.

"Okay...fine, maybe things weren't going as planned," he said quietly.

"Sooo..." I teased. "Thanks..." he said his face becoming even pinker.

"Your welcome," I said with a bright smile. "I was pretty cool wasn't I," I said.

"Yeah if you call cool running away like scared fish." He shot back at me.

"Well I did that to distract them to throw them off you thought I was going to fight back, didn't you. Also, I don't want to die. I have something I want to do." I said. We starred at each other for a few seconds. "Well anyway let's go!" I said.

"What do you mean let's go, I'm leaving, you have helped me now I'm going, bye!" he said.

"Wait don't go! your injured let me put some medication on it before you leave, okay." I said grabbing his arm. His arm was so tiny and frail it made me wonder how he had lived up until now.

"I'm fine it will heal in a while," he said snatching his arm away from my grasp.

"Are you sure that coral grazed you but look at how much it did to you. Those men are still after you aren't they wouldn't it be better if came with me to a place they probably don't know.

"But wouldn't that waste your time?" he said meekly it was like he was a different person.

"No it's fine, let's a go...oh wait I forgot. I came here to get snacks. Let me go get some then we can go. Wait here" I said as a left for the fish shop again.

? P.O.V.

Why is this fish doing this? Maybe he is trying to seem nice and lures me into his room or something. This wouldn't be the first time someone tried to be nice to me just so they could do me. But why won't I leave he seemed really nice maybe, maybe I could trust him. She said I should trust more people. I would also like to see more of his smile his bright smile.

After he came back we left to his house he started to talk about how he and his sister were going to a place called wave point. To bring their dead parents and village back to life.

"Is-is it really true, what you said about it being able to grant any 3 wishes you want?" I asked.

"I don't know." He said I was confused then why was he going to go through such lengths for a thing that might not even be true?

"Why...you will waste so much time and effort on something that probably isn't true?" I asked.

"Well even if it isn't true me and my sister got to go on a fun adventure together that be nice. I also just want to leave this place deep sea isn't really the best place for my little sister to grow up in." He said with a serious expression. Yeah it made sense fish here weren't really the best role models and the school were good at all.

"Hey" what am I saying I should stop. "Do you think." But...I don't want it to end. "I could come with you?"

Chapter 4 Help?

? P.O.V.

What did I just say, why did I say that I shouldn't have said that? "Wait, forget what I said I-"

"Of course you can come," He said to interrupting me. He had a very bright smile and looked so happy. "Wait before anything let me introduce myself, we can't be travel buddies if we don't know each other's name," He said as he stretched out his hand to reach for a handshake. "My name is Washingwind Ein and this is my little sister Marina she is eight," he said as he pulled his little sister in front of me.

"Hi..." she said she was apparently shy and had one of the most special fins I had ever seen.

"Ah, yeah her fins are a beauty aren't they" he smiled as he bragged about his little sister. He looked happy when he talked about his sister. "What's your name?" He asked. No one other than her has ever asked for my name before in such a sweet manner.

"Winterwood, Winterwood Sarah," I said looking down grabbing his hand.

"I like your name," He said. Without warning, my face flushed red in response.

"M'kay" I responded.

"So why were those people after you?" He asked. He didn't hear them...but what if his attitude changes once he knows what I am will he start acting like them. I didn't want that. A little lie wouldn't hurt and if it comes to it I'll tell him later.

"Well they picked a fight with me cause they taught I was weak and could easily steal from me" I lied.

"Huh...well you shouldn't underestimate people just because of the way they look." He said.

Sara's P.O.V.

We had just left the house and gotten my stuff from my house. "So where are we headed?" I asked.

"I don't know" he replied. I was taken back he really wanted to go to someplace which he has never been to in the whole ocean and doesn't even know where to head. He really is an idiot. He was stupid enough to risk his life to try and save me of all fishes. We continued wandering for a while until I popped the question.

"What is the name of your tribe?" I asked. He looked a bit shocked from me asking that and didn't really have the most pleasant of faces on him. "You don't have to tell me" I assured.

"No...it's fine, the name of my tribe is-" Before he could finish his answer he was interrupted by a man shouting. It wasn't any man either it was him from before.

"There they are catch them and bring the blonde to me!" The man shouted. Ten sharks were suddenly after us. We started to swim we swam as fast as we could. Marina was starting to get tired and getting hurt from that coral had slowed me down significantly. Washingwind could see that. He grabbed the two of us by the hand and swam as fast as he could. We were able to just get into a crevice on the sea floor.

"*huff* I think *huff* we will be *huff* safe here," He said out of breathing. Again he had saved me and again had I slowed him down and risked his life this time I also risked his sister's life. I put people in danger this is why I can't be with people. Because I was born like this. I hate this stupid body. I hate it so damn much. That's why she is no longer here...

"Hey...I think it would be better if I left..."

Chapter 5 Help?

Ein's P.O.V.

"I think it will be better if I left..."

What do you mean you think it will be better if you left do you not like me and my sister or something. What on earth does he mean? He just said he wanted to come with us why does he suddenly want to leave?!

"Why? do you not like me and my sister or something?" I said trying to make eye contact but he avoided it.

"That isn't why..." he said. Still not giving a reason.

"Can you at least tell me why?" I asked. He didn't respond looking down. We floated there in awkward silence. "So you don't want to respond. But before you leave why did you say you wanted to come with us?" I asked.

He mumbled a word at me still looking down. I couldn't hear him. "I didn't catch that," I said. He mumbled again I could have sworn I heard wish. "Can you speak a bit louder?" I asked.

"I said I WANT TO MAKE FREAKING A WISH!" he shouted in me and my sister's face who was now hiding behind me. A wish he wanted to make a wish. What was that? It intrigued me. What could a fish with such beautiful scales want? What would make him choose a pair of random siblings to follow on a wild goldfish hunt?

"What is that?" I asked,

"It isn't your damn business," He said abruptly he looked angry and worried. With that, the conversation went to a halt. More awkward silence was met. Nothing could be heard except for our tails swimming. No one was around, especially since we were so far out.

"If your wish is so important to you. Then you wouldn't give up so easily." I said somewhat annoyed.

"I AM NOT GIVING UP!" he shouted at me.

"Then why are you suddenly deciding to leave," I said in annoyance.

"Well because, because...it's dangerous," he said still looking down. Is he scared that those men are gonna come again? Is that what he meant, is he worried.

"Hey if you're worried about those men coming back it's gonna be fine cause the manliest fish in the ocean is with you!" I said smiling.

"Well, you can't be very manly with the way you ran away from those men earlier." He said cheekily he seemed to like bringing it up. I think it is gonna be a problem in the future.

"Well, I did it to save the both of us," I said in a sarcastic tone.

"But more men like them will come after us if I'm with you. And I'm not really sure if we can escape next time." He said he had a very worried expression.

"Well haven't you read comics. Most adventures don't come without a little problem and I'm sure we will escape." I said.

"What makes you think that?"

"Because you're here I said." Smiling at him. His face flared up and he swam out of the cavern.

"Thanks, shitty hair..." he said as me and my sister came out. His cheeks were still red. It looked cute...

What worried me was that other people were going to come according to him but he still didn't want to tell me anything.

Chapter 6 Help?

"So where are we heading?" Bakugou said in a questioning tone. He was swimming behind me and my sister. I kinda wished he would swim with us.

"Well, I don't know yet," I said as I smiled at him confidently.

"HAH! ARE YOU JOKING?!" Bakugou swam in front of me and my sister putting us to a halt.

"No...did that seem funny?" I questioned

"IS THIS A JOKE TO YOU!? Bakugou yelled at me.

"No…." I was still confused about why he was yelling at me.

"SO IF WE DON'T KNOW WHERE WE ARE GOING HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GET TO THE WAVE POINT!"

"What do you mean? We are heading towards the Wave point?" I still couldn't understand why he shouting at me. We needed to get to the Wave Point so we just have to go there.

"And where is that."

"I already answered your question earlier I don't know."

For some reason, Bakugou facepalmed. "Why am I stuck with such an idiot." Bakugou sighed and swam ahead of me and my sister.

"Hey that isn't nice, why did you say that to me?" I asked Bakugou didn't reply but still kept the distance from me and my sister.

"Hey, Bakugou!" I called out Bakugou looked back at me with a hard glare on his face.

"WHAT!?" He said as he stopped swimming still glaring at me.

"I think we can get help from there!" I pointed at a small shop made from coral and other sea like material. It had a sign that wrote All Your Problems Can be Solved Here.

Bakugou's P.O.V

Is he joking or is he just an idiot.

"Are you joking that is the shadiest looking place I've ever seen. There isn't a place that can solve or your problems." I shouted at him.

He looked back at me.

"But there isn't anywhere else to try around."

I looked around, he was right. It was the ocean as far as I could see. This idiot right. Well, I am pretty strong so we could escape if things get bad.

Without looking at him I swam over to the shop. I was greeted by a big hat. The owner of said hat seemed to be looking for something. Kirishima and his little sister swam over to me.

"Excuse me…" Kirishima tried to gain the attention of the shop keeper but to no avail, she seemed to be really preoccupied. I was getting impatient. What is she doing that is so important we are in a hurry!.

I grabbed their hat and pulled it off their head.

"LISTEN WHEN SOMEONE'S TALKING!

A startled lady jumped from my action. She hit her head on her desk. Serves her right for wasting my time. She had a pink face with little yellow antennas that stuck out from her also pink her. She rubbed her head to soothe the pain.

She looked up at us. I noticed she stared at me longer than she did to Kirishima and his sister. I swear if she makes a comment about my scales I'll blow up her shop.

Instead, she smiled at us and said.

"Hello new customers, my name is Mina, I am the shop keeper of this amazing shop, what problems would you like me to solve for you this fine day?" She smiled brightly at me, Kirishima and his sister.

I was surprised she hadn't commented on my scales, that was the first thing people do when they first meet me. It was pretty annoying so I was somewhat refreshed. I looked back at Kirishima and his sister. But of them looked very excited I could practically see their eyes shining. I mentally sighed. They have already fallen for her. Even his sister. I looked back at the shopkeeper as she waited for us to speak.

"Firstly I would like to ask, what were you looking for so frantically that you did notice when we came. We were standing for a while and we tried to gain your attention many times." I said calmly. I didn't want to seem rude as she might be able to give us some clues as to where the Wave Point might be. Even if I wanted to shout at her for wasting my time.

"Ah sorry, sorry. I had dropped something important so I didn't notice." She said as she laughed awkwardly.

"Anyways we need help-"

"Finding the Wave Point right?" She finished my sentence.

How did-

"How did I know? Well, that's a trade secret" She said smiling mischievously at me. She might actually be able to help.

Chapter 7 You tried your best

"So do you have any idea where the Wave Point is located?" I questioned, now interested in what she had to say.

"Well, what can you offer me?" She asked smirking at me. Of course, she wants something the Wave Point is a place that almost no one knows about. Why would she give away the location for free?

"Well...I guess I have something. But first I would like you to give me the information." I said smirking at her. We looked at each other in the eye for a few seconds as if to see if we were serious.

Suddenly she exclaims happily.

"Okay, okay. You've won me over." She put her hands up in defeat. "But what you're offering me be better worth a lot." She smiled.

Suddenly a bunch of tentacles came up from behind her. I had never seen an octopus breed before so it was a sight to see. All her many tentacles working in order and none of them bumping into one another, like an extension of her arms.

"Like what you see." She teased.

I didn't respond to her teasing as I continued to stare.

"THAT IS SO COOL!" I looked over to whose voice it was it turns out it was Kirishima's sister, Marina. She was normally quiet so hearing exclaim loudly startled me. I noticed that even Kirishima had a startled look on his face. His sister swam up to the front of the booth and started to talk to the shopkeeper as her tentacles continued to move around the booth, seemingly looking for something.

I stared at her as she excitedly asked questions about the tentacles. It made me think back to when I was younger and met her for the first time. She was a type of sea creature I had never seen before I asked so many questions. I smiled softly to myself at the fond memory.

"Hey."

Broken from my trip down memory I looked over at Kirishima. He looked at his sister fondly as she continued to ask questions. He had a soft smile on it was different from his bright smile, but I still liked it. Ah. what am I saying?

He looked back at me and smiled. I felt my face heat up as his smile shone in my face. Why is so damn bright.

"Hey Bakugou are you alright your face is very red?" He questioned inching closer to my face. I quickly put my hands on his face pushing it away from mine.

"What-what is that you want anyways shitty hair," I said flustered. I stuttered. I looked away from him staring at a nearby pebble.

"Do you think- do you think my wish will come true?" he said quietly. His smile replaced by a contemplative expression

I was surprised that he would ask me such a question. What was I supposed to say? I personally didn't know if this Wave Point even existed. I could be nice and say 'I am sure' but, that isn't my personality.

"I don't know." I wasn't sure if I should have said that as Kirishima's face went to a frown and his hands started to tremble in a closed fist.

"But, I do know that even if it doesn't come true you damn well tried your hardest and that would be enough." She had said it once to me before, it really helped me during my tough times.

I looked back at Kirishima he looked like he was about to cry shit.

"Bakugou~~" he swam towards me wrapping his arms around me in a hug.

"Hey, what-"

"Thank you Bakugou, Thank you so very much." He squeezed harder around me. Usually, I would push anyone who was close to me. But for some reason, I didn't…

"That is so cute!" Mina exclaimed. Quickly pushing Kirhsima away I quickly swam over to her my face still heated.

"Sorry to ruin the moment with you and-"

"We aren't like that." I quickly stated

"What but you guys are so-"

"I said WE AREN'T LIKE THAT!" it isn't even possible anyways it just isn't…

I hadn't noticed the expression on Kirishima's face.

"Sorry." She said quickly. Shit, I made it awkward.

"It's fine, anyways did you."

"Yes here." One of her tentacles pushed the scroll to my chest. I rolled the first part of the scroll down. It wrote "The Legend of The Wave Point"

Chapter 8 Legend

Long ago when all types of fish lived together in harmony sharks, jellyfish, eels and many other types of fish. Where everyone lived in the coral reef. A special fish was born, they had the prettiest scales that any fish had ever seen. They were worshiped and loved by all. Until the Mer-hunters heard of them. The Mer-hunters attacked every fish they saw. The sharks and other strong fish tried their best to hold them off but to no avail. Soon enough the Mer-hunters were able to kidnap the special fish leaving everyone with broken families and broken hearts.

Soon enough years went by, without the special fish around fish who once lived in harmony started to fight to shatter the bond they had once before. Another few years went by, soon enough all types of fish had moved away from each other and didn't even talk to each other. They had all forgotten about the special fish. Except for this one fish. He had tried his best to be like the special fish and bring everyone back together but it didn't work.

Heartbroken by what had happened he went to a Sea witch who lived down in the deep reef. He begged her for a way to make everyone happy again and come together. She, the Sea witch agreed to his request but had asked only a simple question in return. "What is your biggest secret?" not wanting to give away his biggest secret he lied. The witch didn't say anything but gave him a potion. "It will give you what you asked for." The fish swam away thinking that he had successfully tricked the witch. The fish immediately drank the potion. He later died and the potion was a lie similar to the lie he had told the sea witch. It says that the sea which is still there by the edge of the coral reef and will grant any three wishes you ask of her. That is the said location of the Wave Point.

"What the F*ck is this!" I said pointing at the piece of paper that would supposedly lead us to the Wave Point.

"What do you mean? It is the location of the Wave Point" Mina looked confused at my outburst.

"So you are telling me that the only lead to the Wave Point is this stupid fairytale that sounds like something you'll tell children?!" I was mad that she would try and trick me like this. "Kirishima let's go." I said grabbing his arm to drag him away from this phony place.

"Wait!" She shouted at us making me turn to look at her.

"What?," I said coldly.

"I am not lying I got it from someone who actually went there."

"Now you are saying someone actually got there and came back," I said getting more furious.

"Yes." She looked at me directly in the eye her serious face almost made me doubt my assumptions.

"If so why did he not just write the exact location of that place."

"He wasn't allowed to. He said that he wasn't allowed to give the exact location that was one of the terms he got for getting his wish granted."

"How-how do I know you're not just making this dude up. He could just be a fictional character you made up to trick people into believing your bullsh*t problem-solving. 'Solves all your problems more like DOESN'T solve any problems." (this line made me laugh so hard)

"Bakugou that wasn't very nice," Kirishima said from behind me drawing my attention towards him. As I was about to reply.

The octopus hit the counter of her shop pretty loudly which drew my attention back towards her pretty quickly.

"You-you are not allowed to say that to me. I thought you were cool in the beginning but first, you shout at me then you doubt my solutions now you call my entire living a scam!" Mina shouted.

"If that's the case I won't ever help you guys again!" She said closing the shop.

"FINE THEN WE DON'T NEED YOUR FAKE HELP!" I shouted back at her shop. We don't need her stupid face and stupid arms to help us anyways.

Kirishima P.O.V

Bakugou swam away towards a boulder and sat there sulking.

"Bakugou!" I turned around to face my sister.

"Hey, Marina can you wait here, I have to go talk to Bakugou. You can try and talk to Mina she seems to like you." My sister nodded understanding what I meant.

I swam towards the boulder that Bakugou was sulking on.

"SHE IS SUCH A-A" Bakugou screamed in annoyance.

"Bakugou…" I said quietly as I swam up to sit beside him on the boulder.

"I told you earlier that she was fake," Bakugou said to me.

"Bakugou you can't be sure can you."

"Well can you tell me whether or not she was lying then"

"No, but I saw the look in her eyes she was telling the truth, I noticed you hesitated as well. You know she isn't lying. Why can you trust her"

"I-I"

"I am sure if you apologized she would help, she looked more hurt than angry at what you said."

"Yes but-"

"But what you insulted her whole career that she probably put so much effort into. She has so many items and different information about things. You went and called it fake."

"I know…"

"Yeah I know you know, why else would you be sulking here. You regret it don't you?"

Bakugou didn't respond to my question but I could tell by his expression he wanted to.

"It's hard." He suddenly said after a few moments of uncomfortable silence. "I have trust issues it is really hard for me to trust people. They have been so many people trying to trick me lie to me about all sorts of things for their gain so I-"

"You couldn't trust her right?"

"Yeah…" He replied putting his tail up to his chest and wrapping his arms around them. Hugging himself as if to comfort him. I don't know what came over me but I felt like hugging him again. I stopped myself not wanting Bakugou to feel uncomfortable around me.

"Then-then do you trust me?" I asked all of a sudden I didn't know what came over me but I felt like I had to know.

Bakugou's head suddenly turned towards me with a shocked expression.

I felt like I shouldn't have asked the question because he said.

"No." It was blunt and shot through me.

"I-I don't know what to say," I said rubbing my neck in an awkward manner. I would have thought that after spending a while together he would trust me by now. He was a lot calmer than when we first met he was always on edge and always sleeping close to the exit so he could escape If anything happened.

"No, it-it isn't like that. I don't really trust you but I trust you a little."

My face lit up as he said that.

"How much is a little," I asked excitedly"

"Like 5 percent"

"Out of 100?"

"No out of a 1,000,000"

My face lit up because even if a million was such a big number he still had a little trust in me.

"That makes me so happy," I exclaimed.

"Don't be an idiot I said 5 percent out of a million why does that make you happy?!" He shouted at me his face turning a bit red.

"Because that's better than having no trust in me at all."

"Yeah but that doesn't make it a million."

"Then I'll work hard."

"On what shitty hair."

"On gaining your trust"

"Stupid…"

Resting his head on his tail Bakugou turned to me and for the first time, Bakugou smiled at me with a little red blush dusting his face. My heart raced at the sight of something so beautiful as his pretty scales lit up as the light from the sun shone against them.

I could feel my face heat up for an unknown reason.

"You smiled…" I said in a quiet whisper. As soon I the words left my mouth Bakugou quickly pushed me of the massive boulder making me float onto the sand.

'"Shut up!" He said turning his back from me. I swam up to the boulder.

"You did I saw it."

"You are just imagining things!" He said turning away from me his arms crossed as his face turned red again.

"I did" I smiled at how his ears turned red as well.

Yes, I was going to work really hard on earning his trust.

Chapter 9, An Acquaintance

"So will you come down now and apologize," Kirishima asked as I sat on the boulder. He really was an idiot I said I only trusted him a little and that made him so happy. But why did I feel warm and bubbly? It was a feeling that was starting to become regular and I did not like it one bit.

I swam down, ignoring him as I swam back to the booth. I saw his sister talking excitedly to the pink-haired shop keeper. The Mina smiled at her and answered the young child's questions. Mina noticed me swimming towards her. Almost immediately her smile formed into a scowl.

Marina noticed what was happening and swam to her brother to talk about all the things she gained new knowledge about.

"What do you want." Mina continued her arms crossed as she continued to scowl at me.

"Well I am here to-" I needed to apologize but I had never apologized before and it felt weird. I turned to Kirishima for help and he just smiled at me giving me some thumbs up. Useless

I turned back to face the still angry Mina.

"Did you come back to insult my business again?!" Mina's scowl turned into a glare.

"No I-I" What was I going to say. "I want to apologize," I said quietly looking down. Apparently, Mina hadn't heard me.

"Go away if you're just here to mock me!" She said as she closed her stall and with a loud bang, she was gone.

DID SHE JUST SLAM THE-THE-. OH NO, SHE F*CKING DIDN'T!

I stomped over to the stall and pulled up the window startled from my action Mina screamed.

"What-what are you doing!" She screamed at me.

"You don't just slam a door in my face when I come to APOLOGISE," I said rather loudly.

"WELL YOU CAN'T JUST- did you just say you came to apologize." Mina looked at me confused she seemed not to believe me.

At my outburst my face turned red looking away I said quietly.

"Yes…" Secretly expecting her to reject my apology I was surprised but what happened next.

"Apology accepted. You look like the type of person who had never apologized before."

Dumbfounded I looked up at her was she seriously gonna forgive me after I had insulted her whole career.

"See Bakugou I said everything was gonna be okay." Kirishima came over to me and put his hand on my shoulder smiling at me.

"Shut up shitty hair…"

"Anyways you said that you know the person who went there is he still alive?" I asked Mina trying to divert my attention from his hand. I could have pushed him away but I kinda didn't want to.

For some reason, Mina broke out laughing.

"Of Course he's alive he like the same age as us ...I think, I don't know how old you are. Anyways let me call him." Mina waved this stick looky thing and it shot this yellow thing out.

"What was that?!" Kirishima and his sister said in sync running in front of me to see the contraption.

"Ah, this is a rod I got from an acquaintance it sends out an electric signal in a certain direction and with that, you can send specific characters to any fish that is able to conduct electricity."

"But wouldn't that be sent to any fish?" I questioned intrigued by the mechanism of the object in question.

"Yeah well about that...you see it only work for him specifically."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, you see the dude is a little more electrifying than most fish. So all fish that I've tried it on only feel the electricity but can't read anything from it... though the guy can. I don't know why though. He is very sensitive when it comes to electricity."

Mina's explanation made sense. Looking at Kirishima and his sister I already knew they had no idea what we were talking about sighing I looked back at Mina.

"So what's the dude's name?"

"Ah, well his name is-"

Before Mina could finish something yellow swam straight into me.

"F*ck, who did that?' I rubbed my now hurting head. I turned around to face this guy with yellow hair and a black zig-zag in the shape of a lightning bolt on it. The strangest part was his tail it wasn't like me or Kirishima's tail it was long and straight like a snake's.

He was an eel!

No wonder he was so sensitive to electricity his body literally could produce it.

"Sorry, sorry." I wasn't looking where I was going I just enjoy swimming through the currents.

"I can't believe you did that" Mina scolded him with her many tentacles. "Sorry this is Kaminari Denki, he is also the person who went to the Wave Point and back.

Looking back at him I was shocked he had gotten to the Wave Point and back this dude who looked like a rip off of Pikaell. Ironic but I really couldn't believe it.

Chapter 10, Heartbeat...

"So this is the supposed dude who got to the Wave Point as well?!" Kirishima excitedly swam in front of me to talk to the yellow-headed dude.

"Ah, yes…" The yellow head responded

"So how was it?"

"How was what?"

"THE WAVE POINT OF COURSE!" Kirishima swam around the guy excitedly

"Ah...well, it was so, so.." He said rubbing his neck I noticed he was trying his best not to make eye contact with Kirishima.

"So what did you wish for?" The question seemed to surprise the guy even though it was an obvious question that we were gonna ask.

The idiot looking yellow-headed didn't respond leaving a heavy silence. Making us wait for him to respond.

"AH well anyways!" Mina suddenly said diverting our attention away from Denki.

That made me really suspicious but I didn't comment not wanting to say the wrong thing again and making Kirishima angry at me.

Not that I cared! Or anything…

"Kaminari why don't you explain how the Wave Point looked for my costumers!" Mina laughed awkwardly looking away from us.

"Yes, of course…" The yellow head responded immediately grabbing the attention of Shitty hair and his sister.

"So em…" The ell went into a vague explanation of how the Wave Point looked. Saying things that almost everyone knew such as it was in the Coral Reef that it was in some sort of stone building, tower place. Again he never specified. Every time he said something, I just got angrier.

Was he just messing with us?

I looked over at Mina whose expression was riddled with worries and fear. She was trying her best to have a natural smile on but the more I glared at her the harder it became for her to hold it up. So her smile became this lob sided one.

As I was about to comment I heard something. It was a loud banging noise

It was obviously loud, very loud

IT was coming closer

And closer

I felt it a huge current making me almost fall over.

I looked up only to see something horrible. It was something I was not happy to say I was acquainted with.

A Ship, and not just any ship

"A Mer-hunter ship!" Mina yelled

I turned around shouting "run!". I swam as fast as I could swimming away from the ship. The sight of the ship alone made me feel sick.

Why are they here

Why so far

Why now!

"Kirishima let's go!" I said as I grabbed his sister's arm swimming away. I looked back only to notice Kirishima wasn't following he was just there swimming looking at the ship in pure fear and terror. Quickly letting go of his sister a good distance away, I swam back to get him

"YOU IDIOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" I yelled in his ear, grabbing his arm to pull him away breaking him out of his traced state.

"Bakugou…"

"Let's go dumb ass do you want to get F*cking killed."

"No…"

"Then lets F*cking get a move on!" I said pulling his arm. I looked back to the ship seeing that it was too late.

They had already left the ship and were swimming with there strange gear, straight for us.

I started to panic.

"Don't worry Bakugou I'll protect you" He said as he turned his back towards me facing the hunters head-on moving into a fighting stance.

I don't know what happened but at that moment looking at him back as the reflection from the sun shone on his already bright red hair. My heart rate increased and I felt an overwhelming feeling of fear. Thinking I could lose him right now.

I needed to help him I thought

I wanted to help him.

But what could I do?

I was just this merman with rare scales that I never wanted. I had some powers but those powers didn't come in handy when they took. Her. It was going to be the same situation now wasn't it? Again I can't do anything to save anyone.

Suddenly and overwhelming bright yellow light engulfed us.

Chapter 11, BLUB!

Covering my eyes from the blinding light I heard yelling from behind me.

Turning around I noticed the yellow head swimming straight for me but then he swam past me and even pass the now dazed Kirishima, looking around I noticed everyone else was in a daze except for me and the eel.

"What are you doing!" I yelled gaining the attention of the yellow head.

He must have done something to make everyone dazed but it doesn't affect me for some reason.

"Bakugou you're fine?!" he yelled.

"Yeah I have some sort of immunity or some sh*t?"

"COOL!" I could see his eyes shining even though he was quite far away from me.

"This isn't the time, how long does this last for?"

"How long? Oh sh*t. Bakugou grab Kirishima and swim away!"

What about you?!"

"I'll be fine, I am quite hard to catch after all i'm an eel."

Having no other choice but to go along with his plan. I swam over and grabbed the still dazed Kirishima swimming as fast as I could away from the hunters. It was pretty hard, especially since he was a lot heavier than me.

I swam away from them a sense of relief washed over me when I found a cave entrance.

I had done it! I had saved someone dear to me!

….

Was he dear to me?

I swam into the cave entrance resting Kirishima onto the wall of the cave. Getting up I left to help Kaminari staring at the sleeping form of Kirishima a little to long from the cave entrance as I left.

I swam out of the cave back towards the place where I had left them. My breath hitched as I looked around in panic.

They were gone. They were F*CKING GONE.

Calling out the names desperately. There was no one there and no one to respond to my desperate calls.

The only thing that was around me was the empty sea.

Get it together Bakugou this isn't the f*cking time for you to panic.

Slapping my hands against my face I looked up. In the distance I noticed the mer-hunter ship that was quickly escaping my view.

I need to be able to follow them.

But I couldn't leave Kirishima behind.

I had a spell that could track stuff but the spell needs to touch the object for it to work.

No way in hell am I approaching that ship willingly or else I am gonna be taken as well. I need something.

Scanning around the seafloor i noticed a rock

"Perfect."

Grabbing it from the ground, it was fairly light but sturdy piece of rock I cast my spell on the rock.

"Let's hope this works."

Getting ready to throw the rock I could feel the sparks climbing up my arm to my hands. As the rock flew out of my hands I blasted it with a good amount of power making it pierce through the sea as it flew straight out of the water.

It was quite a distance but I already knew it would make it. Even though I acted like this, I was fairly smart as I was thought by the best of the best.

Feeling my magic land, I opened a holographic green map of the area. Even if my tracker wasn't on it, it could still show me the way to my tracker.

I did it. Smiling I was back to the cave where someone dear to me laid resting.

I don't why I thought that though.

Chapter 12, Calm Down.

I swam into the cave, I noticed that Kirishima was awake, he seemed to be staring at the wall with a vacant expression.

"Kiri-"

"She's gone isn't she." He said with a blank expression. It was cold and direct he never talked like that so I was a bit taken aback and disturbed.

"Yes but-"

"I wish it had been me." He said, taking in a deep breath. "Then at least she would be safe with you."

"What are you-"

"When I Marina had been born, I promised my parents that I would protect her with my life." He sighed. "What a worthless brother, and liar I am." He got up swimming over to me.

"I am a horrible and useless fish." His attitude disturbed me, I could see a shadow of my former self, of when I had lost her.

"I PROMISED THEM I WOULD KEEP HER SAFE! I PROMISED MYSELF I WOULD KEEP HER SAFE!. I-I, Marina..." He slumped down, a sob was heard as tears started dripping down his face mixing with the water, making it looked like he was never crying.

"Kirishima listen..." trying to calm him down, I could feel my heart rate increases. I knew where this was leading, all too well.

"I AM NOT STRONG, JUST BECAUSE I CAN TAKE DOWN A FEW SHARKS...IF I CAN'T PROTECT SOME I SWORE TO PROTECT WHAT IS THE POINT OF BEING STRONG, I SHOULD JUST-" My hands moved by themselves as I slapped Kirishima across the face. Leaving a red mark.

His face wore a startled expression

My eyes started to water, I couldn't let him go down the same path that I had tried to go down, all those years ago.

"B-bakugou?" He said in confusion as he rubbed his red cheek.

"SHUT UP! DON'T GO THROWING AWAY YOUR LIFE LIKE THAT! WHAT HAPPENED TO MISTER F*CKING POSITIVE!" I had started and I couldn't bring myself to stop. "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR SMILE! Y-YOU DON'T NEED TO DIE! YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING F*CKING THING WRONG!"

"YOU...can't..." He deserved to live a lot more than me. I could've done something to save her but I swam away like a f*cking p*ssy.

A warm embrace caught me off guard. Kirishima hugged me seemingly trying to calm me down.

"I am sorry Bakugou, I was wrong calm down." I was so glad I lived in water, so my tears didn't show. The smell of blood overflowed the water as I looked for the source only to find out it was my own arm. "Please, stop hurting yourself Bakugou, calm down." I had done that to myself. My claws had dug into my skin as I had fretted.

Kirishima's warm embrace made me feel warm, calm and cared for. It was something I hadn't felt in a long time. I don't know what came over me but, before I knew it my arms were around him as well. My heart was beating so hard and my face was extremely red. Even so, I didn't want to let go.

Marina P.O.V (WHAT?!) (you've never played tuber simulator...)

I woke up feeling extremely sick. I wanted my brother, sluggishly I looked around for my brother's signature red hair, that I loved. Still, in a daze, I walked over to the red thing I saw. Only to realise it wasn't my brother but some red coral. Shocked my eyes widened as I became aware of the severe situation I was currently in.

I was in a sealed tank! I panicked swimming towards the open place only to hit my face against a glass wall. My breathing increased as panic swelled my lungs. I was having a hard time breathing. My vision getting darker as my breathing became harder and more forced.

"Marina!" A voice snapped me out of my state. I looked in the direction of the voice to find Mina in the same kind of prison as me but bigger to fit her and her many limbs.

"Take deep breaths, in, out, in, out" She instructed I listen to her, taking breathes in and out. That helped and I had calmed down. The fact that I wasn't alone helped the must.

I had always been with my brother, we were never apart. I missed him.

"M-Mina, where are we?" I looked at her for reassurance.

"Well, I am pretty sure we are on board a mer-hunter ship." She said smiling at me.

"Yes, I have seen a bunch of them before." Another familiar voice spoke. I looked over to the tank beside Mina and there sat a sad-looking eel.

"PIkaeel!"

"It's Denki!" He said in annoyance as he corrected me.

Mina burst out laughing. Leaving a comforting atmosphere.

"Mina..." I asked

"Yes"

If this really was a mer-hunter ship does that mean? "Are we going to die." The warm atmosphere turned cold and sour in an instant. Mina looked shocked at my question.

"I-I, Marina-"

"You don't have to lie...I know my parents died the same way. That is what my brother said. Even if he didn't say they died, he had implied it." I sighed, even if I was young I wasn't dense. In the place, I lived in, I, of course, knew what death meant. Murder there was common there, I was lucky I had a brother to protect me.

"Wow, that was grim." A new voice suddenly spoke. All three of us startled by the sudden voice looked over to where it was coming from. For the first time in my entire life, I saw a human. He smiled at us.

"Yo, I'm Sero"

Chapter 13, Understanding

This human with straight black hair and a triangular smile walked into the area we were being kept in. All of us immediately froze, this was the first time I had seen a human without any of their weird outfits on. They looked like us but obviously without our tail. I couldn't help but stare, this was the first time I had seen anything like them. Unlike Mina's and Denki's, even though their bottom parts weren't necessarily fins they still looked like sea creatures.

But the human's own were just split into two limbs. It really made me wonder, how were they able to swim without tails or fins? I wanted to find out now! So without thinking.

"How are you able to swim!" I exclaimed.

"Marina!" Mina tried to hush me, she looked at me in horror. "What are you trying to do annoy the human so they skin us faster!" She said harshly completely forgetting she was trying to hide the truth from me, not like I didn't already know.

"What I'm just curious?"

"Yes I know you are and it is good but, there is always a time and place for curiosity and this isn't one of them!" she whispered shouted harshly, her mainy arms flailing about in worry.

A sudden laugh snapped us out of our bickering.

"I have no idea what you guys are saying but your expressions are hilarious"

That is when it hit me, I have no idea what it was saying. I looked over at Mina and Denki to see if I was the only one who couldn't understand. They also looked confused.

"Do any of you guys know what he just said?" Denki whispered loudly. We all shrugged.

"Well I guess we don't speak the same language" The human said, we still had no idea what it was saying so the majority of us looked at it bewildered.

To us it sounded like it was making a bunch of sounds that we had never heard of before. It sounded like totally gibberish!

"Well that goes my hope of communicating with rare creatures." Sero took a step forward fully entering the area we were being kept. "Wow you guys are really cool looking, like humans but with fish bodies how weird." It again spoke but we still had no idea what it was saying.

"Okay." Denki said suddenly gaining of the human. "I know a few languages maybe it will respond to one of them, I heard human speak a bunch of them." We all looked at Denki like he was crazy. "What, it's better than nothing!"

Well it was true, if we couldn't communicate with them then we would have no chance of escaping.

We had no other choice. Sighing both I and Mina shrugged gesturing him to give it a go. Denki smirked.

He suddenly started making a bunch of noise, scaring all of us including the human.

"Huh, he doesn't speak whale...it sounded similar I guess not." Denki sighed. He counited making a bunch more noises with different frequencies and depth. The human didn't seem to understand any of them, only watching the Denki in amusement.

"Denki I don't think he understands any of the weird sounds your making" Mina said putting a halt to Denki's weird sounds.

Denki looked at her dejectedly for a few moments before he suddenly lit up again.

"There is one language I haven't tried yet."

Mina just rolled her eyes, "What?"

"Eel!" He exclaimed.

"What you know eel is one of the hardest languages to learn how is a human supposed to understand!" Mian huffed in annoyance.

Mina was right though I had heard that eel was a bunch of lights flashing at certain lengths and time to make letters that form into words and it took a long time to learn.

"How do you know that ?" I asked

"PIKAELL-" he sighed "Of course I know" he pointed towards his tail. "I am an eel after all!"

I had completely forgotten he was an eel-man.

"Well let's just let him try"

MIna sighed and shrugged leaving Deki to do his thing.

Using his tail he flashed a specific pattern of lights.

We looked over at the human in anticipation, he didn't respond. We all sighed, of course a human would-

Before I could finish my train of thought said human stood up suddenly, he had sat down on the floor, to comfortably watch Denki.

"Did he just speak morse code!" He looked at Denki excitedly running up to his glass chamber and looking at him in aww. Denki face heated up at the sudden closeness of the human.

"D-did he understand?" Denki questioned looking away from the human before his face got any redder.

"I think so?" Mina said, with a little smirk gracing her lips.

The human raised his hand and tapped on the glass wall for Denki's water prison. Gaining the attention of Denki and the rest of us.

"Do you understand me?"

Denki looked at us surprised. "He responded, he responded in eel!" Denki smiled at us

Chapter 14, Okay?

Bakugou P.O.V

"Thanks, Bakugou," Kirishima said as he let me go from his warm embrace. I hated to admit it but I was already missing the touch of his skin against mine. "Did I make you angry? Sorry I hugged you for so long, it was just nice you know…" He trailed off rubbing his head.

I hid my face with my hands in embarrassment. That's not why I'm mad you idiot!

I sighed, this was not the time for me to be fooling around. I looked back at Kirishima, he still looked like he was about to cry and his face was somewhat swollen from all his tears. Even when we live in the ocean you can still tell when someone had cried or not.

"Hey, I know the location of your sister." Kirishima looks at me with an expression full of hope and happiness. He swam quickly towards me and wrapped me in his warm embrace one more time. I wanted to indulge in it a bit more, but he quickly pulled back looking at me apologetically. I felt my face heat up for thinking such an atrocious thing as wanting him to hug me with those strong and steady arms of his…

Stop.

"Sorry, I got too excited, so how do you have their location?" He questioned his hopeless attitude long forgotten. Quickly composing myself of my appalling thoughts, I bring out my holographic map using a small spell.

"Here. I WAS trying to tell you earlier, but then you had to start saying such-such..." I was getting angry again.

"I'm sorry, Bakugou. I promise I won't ever say those kinds of things again, okay?" He grabbed my shoulders making me look up at him. A small apologetic smile was on his face.

"You promise?"

"I promise! I swear in the name of my red hair!"

His red hair.

"Pfft..." I smile settled on my lips.

"I made you laugh again!" he exclaimed, swimming around me in his puppy-like excitement, his small smile replaced with his usual ear to ear grin.

I scuffed as I swam past him, towards the location of the boat on my map.

"I can find them using this, I put it on the mer-hunters boat before they left. The map doesn't have an amazing radius but if we just follow this dot" I pointed at the light green dot that was off the gridded area. "Then we should be able to find your sister and the extras."

"That is if they haven't moved them…" I said the last bit quietly not wanting to destroy Kirishima's current happy mood.

"You're amazing!" Kirishima exclaimed. "You are so manly!" Even though those were such little compliments my heart soared with pride. It for the first time in a long time someone had complimented me.

It really has been a while.

"Hah! You're just noticing that. Of course, I'm amazing. Who do you think you're travelling with for I am Bakugou! The best merman in the entire Deep Reef"

I know the compliment was getting to my head, I know I was acting super cocky and I know am not the best.

But damn did it feel good!

I felt my face stretch without my command into a wide smile, soaking in the compliment. For the first time in a long time, I felt really happy.

Marina's P.O.V

"He can speak eel!" Denki exclaimed, after the human had tapped it's hand against the glass in a weird way. "Even though they use it in a weird way they can understand this can be our ticket out of here!"

Denki was right if we could convince him to let us out then maybe we could-

Broken out of my thoughts by a bright light. I looked over at Denki who was flashing bright lights in a coherent pattern towards the human, who looked just as confused as me and Mina.

"What are you doing! Are you trying to blind us!" Mina yelled at Denki.

"Of course not I am just asking him if he can let us out." Denki rolled his eyes. Like he had just made the most obvious statement ever.

"WhAt ArE YoU cRazY!" Mina yelled. "We have to trick it into letting us free we can't just ask a mer-hunter to let us out. "Also did you just call it a 'him'? How do you know it's gender? It could indeed be a female species." Mina questioned

"He told me." Denki pointed out the obvious.

"Yes, I guess that makes sense," Mina said as she nodded while rubbing her hand against her chin. He had been hitting the glass earlier "Wait a moment that isn't what we were talking about! Did you just try and side track me!" Mina said as her naturally pink face turned red.

"What?! You are the one who changed the subject by talking about his gender!"

"You're the one who replied."

"Well, you are the one who-!"

"Enough!" I shouted startling both parties. I sighed out how childish their behaviour was.

"The human left." He had stood up and left around the part when Denki told us about the human's gender. I just never said anything because adults are supposed to be helpful and dependable.

They all looked at me in surprise looking around the small continents of the room we were in.

"The human did leave…" Mina trailed off before her expression of emptiness turned into anger once more. "To tell his captain about our plan to escape that you had just graciously offered him!"

"What can I say…" Denki's face was pale and he shivered slightly at Mina's outburst. "I am a very gracious individual, unlike someone else who is very stingy with their merchandise." Denki said as he turned away from Mina.

I instantly felt bad for him. I shook my head as I watched all the unfolding that was about to happen.

"So you think I'm stingy?" A quiet giggle escaped Mina's lips, as her many tentacles started to move away from her and towards the tank where Denki was. "Well how about a give you a little something."

Denki's face paled even more. Her many limbs were able to wiggle out of the small opening in the lock and wiggled it's way into Denki's tank.

"Hey Mina I-I am" Denki yelled as one of her tentacles grabbed his arm pulling him towards her others, he struggled to move but to no avail. "L-let go! I'm sorry okay!" Denki said in desperation

Mina softly giggles sending a chill down my spine.

"I AM JUST BEING GRACIOUS!" she said as she lifted him in the water. Shaking him violently back and forth. Denki's face morphed into that of otter horror and she shook him to and fro. The scene was way to comedic and before I knew I busted out in laughter.

Chapter 15, La Voyage

It's been almost 3 weeks since Marina, Sero and Mina went missing. Kirishima and I have been following the signal from the boat. We have been slowly reaching up to the boat. Even though we mermen are faster than the boat. We have to take care of our general health, by eating, sleeping and resting in general. Unlike the boats they use, it doesn't need to stop to rest and sleep or eat. All we have are our fins and tails.

It was probably the first time I had swam so much in my entire life with very little rest. Though me and Kirishima got to bond a lot.

So finally after 2 weeks and six days of following the ship and hopping nothing bad happened to them, we finally caught up with them. A day ago we had realised that the tracker had stopped. Meaning that the boat had also stopped.

And so here we are staring at a docked ship so close to land.

"So...how are we going to get them out?" Kirishima asked resting his arm on my shoulder. He had gotten a lot more handsy over the past weeks. I didn't really mind because I kind of liked it. He seemed to get really handsy when it was people he was comfortable around at least that is what he told me when I had asked.

"Simple we go up to the surface and make a hole in the ship where they are located. Then we sneak in the ship and free them." I had planned everything.

"But can we breathe out of water?" The realisation of not knowing whether or not the thing outside of water will kill us. I heard from 'Her' that humans breathe air. But I had now idea what that was.

"I can go and check." Kirishima volunteer.

"What?! You are not allowed to go out there you might die!"

"Well it is better than waiting around, not knowing whether or not they are skinning alive our friends and my little sister!"

"Well it won't be good if you throw away you life either!" We glared at each other. Neither of us liked each other's solution.

"How about this, we both go at the same time to the surface and if we both die that is it!".

"What the f*ck?! If we both die then what was the whole point of the journey!"

"Well it won't matter if one of us died. If you died I will be very sad!" Kirishima yelled at me.

You'll be sad?

I was stunned silent. I never thought I would meet someone else other that her that would care about me. I felt my face heat up and I could imagine just how red my face was. Hiding my face in my hands I quietly whispered.

"I'll be sad too if you died shitty hair…" My face turned even redder than before, as I felt a very big urge to disappear.

I waited for his usually response with something like 'thanks Bakugou' but I didn't hear anything. I peeked up at him and I was surprised to see a facial expression I had never seen him make before.

A tint of red was on his cheeks, not as bad as mine but it was still visible.

He is blushing, the Kirishima who never seems to get flustered is f*cking blushing. I don't know why but the fact that I could also steer him up a bit made my heart flutter.

"You're blushing…" My inner thoughts leaked out.

Kirishima let out a small embarrassed laugh, as he avoided my gaze.

"Ah, well let's get going then." He turned around to face the boat once more.

He didn't deny it, well it wasn't his personality. Looking back at the ship we were faced with the situation at hand. I think he knew what I was thinking because before I could stop him he raced straight for the surface.

That idiot!

I swam directly after him, flapping my tail as fast as I could.

Before I could stop him he was already poking his head out of the water. I froze right before the surface of the water.

"H-hey shitty hair...a-are you okay?" I questioned my heart race picking up. He didn't respond.

Did he die? Was I not fast enough?

"Hey Kirishima!"

Immediately my brain flooded with thoughts of how I could have saved him.

"Bakugou!" Kirishima's excited tone broke me out of my horrible thoughts. His bright smile almost blinded me.

"Bakugou are you alright?" he swam down towards me his excited expression turning into one of worries

I was so scared I had lost him again…

"Don't do that you idiot!" My worry now replaced with anger. "I thought you were dead!"

How can he be so careless?!

Feeling the familiar tender feeling of Kirishima's hand against my cheek. He caressed my cheek warmly. I looked up at him to see a small smile on his lips. My heart increased and I was struck with the most obvious fact. The reason my heart fluttered every time he touched me.

I like this idiot.

Coming to terms with my feelings a small smile laid upon my lips.

Chapter 16, A Little Pain.

Coming to terms with my feelings I sighed.

Why did I fall in love with an idiot like him?

Just thinking about it made me feel hopeless. Well now wasn't the time for me to thoroughly think through my feelings. I- no we had fish we had to save. Kirishima had poked his head out of the water, once more, nothing seemed to be happening to him. With a slight hesitation, I slowly ascend out of the water.

The first thing I felt was fear, which eased into unease. Slowly turning into warmth. For the first time against my scales and skin, I felt the wind and the sunshine. It was strange but oddly warm?

"Open your eyes!" Kirishima exclaimed.

Slowly I opened my eyes, I closed it just as fast though. Because of the strong light that shone directly into my eyes. I had never experienced such light before. I opened my eyes once more this time my eyes easied to the sudden and unknown brightness.

For the first time in my life, I had set my eyes on the sun. It was bright, so bright it was even hurting my eyes. Even so, I couldn't tear my eyes away from it. It was so beautiful. I stared in aw, I looked at the blue sky, it was so fast, bright, big. The ocean seemed big but the sky seemed even bigger. It seemed too out of my reach. My existence felt so small in that instant.

This...

It was so beautiful, I could feel every shaky breath that left my lips.

It was amazing and humans had all this for themselves.

I was jealous that humans got to leave in such a bright and stunning place. Where everything seemed so peaceful. While we got to live in a place so deep in the sea that hardly any light got to us. While everyone was deep in despair. They got to leave peacefully on such a bright place.

Humans really are greedy.

They have such a nice life but they still want more. That they take away our families kill us for what? To show off to their friends, families

'Hey son, guess what you old man fished up today' his child will excitedly look at the scales his father brought home. His wife would marvel at the beauty. Neither of them knowing that the scales they are currently looking at is from a little child much like their own son. They'll laugh about it and make nothing of it. Such cruel and ruthless creatures that killed Her. Get to live in such a heavenly place.

We were so happy, I was so happy yet they had to, those cursed humans, they had too..!

"Bakugou..." I felt the warm familiar feeling of Kirishima's hand on my shoulder. With a swift motion, I looked over at him. "Are you okay?" his face writhing with worry. My thoughts stopped as I looked into Kirishima worry riddled eyes. For a moment I all I wanted to do was tell him everything.

About Her, about how much of a coward I am, How I am not so strong. How am just an emotional wreck, but...

"I am okay." I lied, I let out a shaky breath. He couldn't get involved in my own issues. "It is just my first time seeing something so beautiful," I said looking back at the sky.

"Yes, same..." We both looked at the sky basking in the sun for the first time. "Enough of this let's go save our friends and my family." He smiled his sun which rivalled the sun.

I stared at him for a few more seconds before turning around to face the boat.

I could never tell him if he ever stopped smiling at me. I don't know what I would do.

Yes, I will deal with everything myself.

I don't need anyone.

With that I closed my eyes, taking in one last shaky breathe. Before putting on my normal scowling face.

I just need to act like myself. Bakugou, the mean and cunning Bakugou. That is me.

I felt my heart clench a little but I ignored it. This was me.

Marina P.O.V

"AHHH" I screamed in terror

"It's too late!" Mina screamed in despair.

Denki's screams of terror and pain could be heard all over our closed space. Red splattered all over the floor of the cabin.

Chapter 17, Do You Think…?

"So?...what do you think?" I asked from my glass-tank. I stared at Denki who was covered in red juice from a fruit from the surface. He was on the wooden floor, currently very immobile. Sero came back with a napkin, dampened in water and clean off all the sticky juice of Denki's scaley body.

Denki's face flared up from embarrassment, as he tried to suppress the soft squeaks that were threatening to escape his lips. I watched at the seeming innocent scene slowly turning sexual.

"Denki don't forget a child is watching," I commented, his face turned even redder along with his shoulders. It reminded me of my brother's hair...

A soft sigh escaped my pale lips, it's been a while since we came here. In the beginning, Sero was going to skin us, but I think he fell in love with Denki, it was pretty obvious from his red face at the current situation.

Sero never missed a day and would visit us every day, but I think he was just here to just be with Denki. He would talk to us using Denki as a medium, but after a bit, it would just end up with the two of them talking to themselves using eel. Though Denki said that to humans, it is called morse code.

Then when Sero doesn't show up at his usual time. Denki starts to panic and when he does come later in the day he starts to sulk. Leaving a confused Sero.

If I had to say a good thing I learnt from all this was Eel. I mean I'm not fluent but I know a few words! So that good! Then me and my brother, along with Denki, Mina and Bakugou. Can all go visit Denki's family then I'll be able to say hello to them, then we can become friends!

Then when we get to the Wave Point and get mum and dad back everyone will be happy...

Brother said that mum and dad were very nice, I wish I had got to meet them...It's fine though as soon I'll get to meet them.

Then maybe...

Then maybe brother won't look so sad anymore...

Bakugou...I know brother has an interest in that peculiar fish. I can see it from the way he interacts with him. He smiles a lot more around that fish. Bakugou though, I can't really tell what he feels for my brother. He always seems to be thinking of something in past when no ones around. He has the same facial expression as my brother when he thinks about mum and dad.

Lonely.

Bakugou seems very lonely like he is forced to be here. Like he doesn't want to be here. Like he longs for somewhere else.

But, I know my brother can change him, as Bakugou is changing my brother. I know that for a fact as I occasionally see him staring at my brother with an expression I can't read.

Sero is actually a very nice person, and he decided to help us escape, our plan was to fake our death using this red fruit called. Orchies as Sero called them, the juice they produce is so red that it looks like blood. It is often called Blood fruit.

We also found out we can breathe in air, but our bodies still need water. Actual we found out by mistake when Denki had swum out of his tank with this body still in the water. We had all screamed at him, before he realised he was no longer in the water. Thanks to Denki we were able to find out something important.

We were currently practising our final run because later today was the day that we were supposed to be killed.

Everything was going as planned until a large boom was heard underneath the ship, making us all shake from the trembling ship.

It wasn't long until more trembles and large explosions could be felt and heard.

"Something is attacking the ship!" A new crew member sprinted into the door. The only human we had seen and interacted with was Sero, Denki said that Sero was in charge of taking care of us, and he had been telling them not to talk to us. So seeing someone else other than Sero come into here surprised me.

She had short black hair with two slightly longer strands of hair almost touching her shoulders. She had two small red triangles right underneath her eyes. To me what stood out the most to me was her long earlobes.

"What...what is happening?" I could understand her confusion, even if I didn't understand what she was saying I could see from her body language she was confused. She had just walked into her crewmate who was supposed to be getting ready to skin us alive later, currently hugging onto one of the mermen that they are supposed to skin.

Sero shot from the floor dropping the surprised Denk onto the cold hard floor, a loud squelch was heard when he landed.

"N-now is the time for this, we are being attacked remember!" Sero said trying to divert her attention. As if on cue another explosion could be heard followed by trembles. "S-see!"

"Yes...okay...then follow me." She said running out of the area we were being held captive in. I noticed Sero breathe a sigh a relief before quickly rushing after her. Though he ran back and dumped Denki back into the tank, thankfully.

Then he bolted out of the room.

Then like that it was quiet except for the occasional tremors, we were all quiet and I'm pretty sure we knew why.

The attack wasn't random.

"It's probably Bakugou and Kirishima," Mina commented, she had been as quiet as a sea slug until now. We both silently nodded as that was most likely the case.

"My big brother is going to save us!" I sand happily

"Yeah, but our plan was less messy..." Denki said in a low voice.

"It might have been but do you really think they throw us into the sea without checking if our scales were really gone?"

Mina was right the plan had a lot of holes, not only that but I'm sure they check if we were really dead or they might not even throw us into the sea.

Denki couldn't retort so he stayed silent.

I was happy that my brother and Bakugou were here, but I wish they didn't destroy the ship. Denki said that Sero and his crew spent so much money getting this ship, that it was like their baby. So I knew Sero would be sad, and I didn't want that.

While I was wallowing in my sadness a large explosion suddenly ruptured right beside my tank, I suddenly felt a very strong current of water pull me back. I rolled around for a bit coming to a stop in familiar arms. I looked up at the ever so familiar face.

I looked up at his smiling face. I missed that face so much, his red hair glistened from the rays of the sun hitting against his red strands of hair, making it look like his hair was on fire.

"Big Brother!" I yelled in joy as I squeezed my brother. I missed him so much. I smiled sincerely for the first time in weeks

Chapter 18, A Little Something

Bakugou P.O.V

Watching Kirishima reunite with his little sister filled my heart with an emotion I could not define. I was glad they were able to meet each other and be together but at the same time, I was jealous. I was extremely jealous that the two of them were able to see each other again.

While I...never got to see her again.

If I could go back in time I would-I would save her instead of freaking out like the scared little kid I was, I would have saved her and maybe then maybe-

"Bakugou?..." Kirishima's soothing voice snapped me out of my hazed thoughts. "Are you okay? you've been staring at us in a daze."

I could feel the tears that were threatening to escape my eyes. What on earth is up with me I've been thinking about her a lot more than normal. Every time I look at Kirishima and Marina's relationship I get…

Jealous

Not the kind of jealousy you get when you are in love with someone, the kind of jealous that is more of a possessive thing. I want to have a relationship like them, I want someone to love me like those two. I don't want anyone. I want Kirishima to love me.

A hard snort trailed out of my mouth.

"Bakugou?" I looked up at Kirishima to meet his worried gaze once more, I just wanted to hug him. Why did falling in love make him look so much more handsome than he already was? Why does falling in love make even the tiniest of gestures seem so beautiful? Why does falling in love make you want to be around them? Why did I fall in love? Why did I have to fall in love with you? I cried out, the thoughts threatened to fall out of my mouth I tried to hold them in but…

"I lov-" A massive shriek halted my words.

"We still have to save Denki and Mina, stay her Marina I'll be right back" Kirishima held his sister shoulders down, then gave her a farewell hug.

"Come back safely, big brother!" Marina waved towards Kirishima

"Of course I could never leave my cute little sister behind" He smiled brightly at Marina. "Come on Bakugou let's go" After Kirishima vanished into the ship. I let out the biggest sigh of relief.

I was so close, to telling him about my…

.

.

.

Why couldn't I? Why wasn't I allowed to tell him my feelings, in fact, only a coward would back down from telling someone their feelings. And I Bakugou Katsuki is not a coward. I'll tell him, I'll tell him my feeling and if he rejects me then...I'll…

.

.

.

Act like it never happened, that way it's won't be awkward and I'll be able to still get to the Wave Point. The thought though still stung a lot, and filled me with fear of rejection.

What if he doesn't reject you? If he doesn't reject me then...the thought made Bakugou all giddy inside and betraying his personality he couldn't help but let out a small smile at the thought.

But you are a freak! Why would he even want someone like you, a guy who can get pregnant, a special type of fish that doesn't exist all of you are extinct. The only reason you didn't die was because she had saved you. You are nothing but a fish in this vast sea, you even saw how big the sky was. Nobody cares about you the only one who did is now gone, and whose fault was that.

YOURS.

Do you have the right to be happy to love anyone? To be with anyone? What if they die to then you'll be all alone. With only your freak of a body to comfort you!

"Bakugou!" A sigh escaped my lips once more I stilled my heart and swam into the practically sunken ship. I had no right to think like that it was a good thing I was able to re-think my thoughts. I didn't have a right to love anyone. I couldn't risk loving anyone if they died- no if Kirishima died, what would I do?

I swam further into the sunken ship, following after Kirishima's, beautifully bright red tail. As it swam further and further away from me, out of my grasp. If Kirishima did die what would I do? The thought played on and on in my mind. Even if I tried to push it away it still came tumbling back. Like and itch that wouldn't stop itching.

If Kirishima died, I would go to the Wave Point then wish for him back!

What if those men capture you like before? What would you do you can't do anything against the blue coral.

Then I would-

You would let them have you wouldn't you? You have no one to live for anymore, all you are is a hollow and dead fish with nothing but grief and regret from not saving your own MOTHER!

No, I would!

You would let them have you so at least you could have children that you could love so dearly.

UNTIL THEY DIE!

Leaving you all alone once more. Right Bakugou?

Stop…

Then what would you do kill yourself?

Stop.

There were some rocks outside her they were pretty sharp?

S-stop

What do you say Bakugou want to give them a try?

"STOP!" I shuddered and gasped for air, this was not the time for this. I had to…

I swam a few steps forward with all the power I could muster. Though every inch I swam it got darker and more of a blur, until darkness filled my vision and with a thud, I hit the cold hard metal of the sunken ship.

Chapter 19, I…

It was so long ago, but to me it still feels like yesterday. Bac then I used to wonder, I wondered everywhere. With family no parents, no home to call my own, and no name. It was like I was in a daze but not really. I mean I slept when I was tired and ate when I was hungry. Looking for random fish to nibble on or some kelp to munch. It was like nothing mattered I didn't matter I didn't know why I was here. I was all alone. No one but myself. I was still calf, pup or larvae? I didn't necessarily belong to any type of sea creature family. I was just me, a sea creature that roamed the seas.

That was until I met her.

It was an accident really, I was floating around like usually, my scales shimmered from the rays of the sunning hitting against my scales making it shine particularly bright. Some mer-hunters had spotted me as I was in an open area. It was a blur from then. I remember being harshly grabbed and pulled upwards, but having no reason to fight against them I just let them take me. The next thing I remembered was being pulled another direction, back towards the sea surface. I glanced down at the other force. Wondering who could be pulling me back, I was surprised to sea a mermaid pulling me back, her face was contorted into such a stern face as she pulled me with all her might. Her thick and spiky golden hair swayed through the water. Stunning me for a instance at how someone would risk their own life to save someone. To save me.

She grunted and pulled some more until a flash of light stopped the opposing pull. I looked over to the mer-hunter that had previously been pulling me out of the water, frozen in shock as his his limp body slowly sank to the depths of the sea.

"Are you okay?" the mysterious mermaid had said to me. That was the start of my happiness but also the cause of my greatest sadness and fear.

After she took me back to the place she lived, I was met with a bunch of other excited fish, and the best part was like they were all like me. A special fish. She said that she takes care of any young fish that she finds, and that included me.

She was the one who had named me Katsuk after being there for a few days. She had asked for my name but giving I had none I just shook my head. She looked at for a few seconds before just randomly spewing the name Katsuki. I think to her it was just a random name but to me it was special, it was something I had for myself. I never had something like that before so I was ecstatic. For the first time in my meaningless life I was happy, at that time I didn't know what happiness was. So it confused me on multiple levels, I had stared at her in a daze. Before she could make a comment she was called over by the other calves. She smiled at me before leaving me in a room with a bed in it.

I had laid down on the soft sea-sponge made mattress. I had never slept on something so soft. I looked around the room then thought of my name once more. My face had stretched, I was smiling but at that time I didn't know what smiling was. So my face's action had confused me severely.

After a few years of being there I thought of everyone like my family, and she was like my mother. Her name Bakugou Mitsuki, she was a mermaid, (though she never acted like one) but a special type that could use magic very well. The other fish there were like siblings to me, even if I didn't really interact with them. I was happy, I had learnt what happiness was. I had learnt so many emotions, I felt things I never felt. I had gained a personality I was someone, and not just something.

I often got in trouble though, I was not really the angelic child I was quite the opposite. Always causing trouble, and not really the most sociable. In fact she had told me multiple times.

"Try and be nicer, be more trusting!" She would often shout at me, after I pulled a prank. Though she wasn't all that kind and sweet either often shouting profanities when she got angry. Having quite the bad attitude herself. If you tried to comment on it she would cast a spell on you making you quiet for the rest of the day. In fact she was more like a sea-witch than a mermaid. Even so I loved her. She had taught me magic and taught me how to be a fish.

Life was nice I was happy and soon enough I had spent 5 years there having come there at the age of 5. Then on my 10th birthday….

The mer-hunters found us.

We were getting ready for the celebration as the old witch liked to throw a huge party for everyone's birthday. Since I didn't know when I was born, she decided that my birthday would be on the day I arrived here. I had always looked forward to my birthdays. We had set up the table my fish cake with an extra bit of shrimp was made just the way I loved it.

A spear had flown past me, landing right in the middle of my cake. I was frozen along with everyone at the table. A sentence had then set all of us into a panic.

"The mer-hunters are attacking!"

The rest was a blur, screams were heard as my family was killed or dragged away from the sea up onto their ships. I swam away like the rest I hid inside a clam. I was shivering hard as the gruesome screams of young fish attacked my ears.

"Bakugou…" the soft familiar voice of Mitsuki was heard. Immediately jumped out of the clam into her open arms. Shedding heavy tears that floated upwards. She caressed and comforted me until I calmed down. Not saying a word, she pulled me out of the area I was in into an open area.

"I want you to swim away." She had said to me that night, I stared into her eyes as she smiled warmly down onto me. I was confused and fearful of what was to come. I begged her to come, but she shook her head at me.

A spear from a mer-hunter pierced her stomach going right through it. Her eyes widened as she coughed up some blood. The place were the spear was in spewed blood that floated around her. I started in horror as more spears rained down upon her.

"She is a sea-witch descendant we need to kill her!"

Using her weakening magic to fend them off as blood continued to gush out from her open wounds. She looked over at me.

"LEAVE! You damn brat" she yelled, "LEAVE!"

I sat there frozen from fear and shock.

"Please Katsuki, please leave…." she begged her magic weakned. "I love you Katsuki, I really do…so please leave…."

"no I-I don't want to leave you mother..." I begged.

"LEAVE!" she had howled so much louder than the others. Setting off a massive explosion.

"Please leave for me…" she whispered.

With my final words of goodbye. I swam away as fast as I could she held them off from me as I swam further and further away from my mother. Tears swelled up in my eyes, making seeing a very difficult task. I stumbled as I swam, I swam and swam and swam in one direction until I could no longer swim. Before I hit a rock sank down sobbing fat and heavy tears. I gasped as I had a hard time breathing through all my gross sobbing. I continued to sob and wail at the loss of my family at the lost f my loved ones and at the loss of my mother.

Chapter 20, Because

I woke up panting and gasping for air. I gazed around me still bewildered by my situation. I had been dreaming ...dreaming of a distant memory. I took a deep breath, letting out a sigh. I squeezed my eyes shut and calmed my racing heart.

It's been a while since I had nightmares of that night…

I mean they stopped after I met…

I sighed getting up from my sitting position, feeling a bit faint. The memory of my late mum flashing between my eyes. I shook my head holding in the tears threatening to escape my eyes. The last thing I remembered was the overbearing headache and a huge pain in my chest before the world turned dark. I was heading into the ship to go save….

I was going to save pikaeel and pink octopus!

The thought of sending energy through my tail. Finally, I looked around my taking in my surroundings. I was in a cave or something that resembled it. It smelled of seaweed and salt. Nothing different from usual. Though I couldn't see Kirishima or anyone else for that matter.

What if they got fishnapped or even killed while I was out

The thought freaked me out for a moment before I realized it made no sense how I had gotten here then. I mean I remember fainting in the ship and not in a cave system. My thought process once more interrupted from the sound of chattering making its way into my ear. I bolted out of the cave flapping my tail as fast as I could.

"Guys…"

The words escaped my lips before I could stop them. Everyone was playing and joking around outside the cave. Like they were never fishnapped and almost skinned alive for their scales. My eyes immediately drew themselves to Kirishima. His red hair being the first thing I capture. I scanned his body letting out a sigh I didn't know I was holding in. At the fact, he seemed to be perfectly unscathed, though I was going to check it out later to make sure.

"Bakubro!" Kirishima howled as he swam swiftly over towards me, worry clouding his face with a hint of relief. At the sound of my name being called by the obnoxiously loud redhead. Everyone shot their heads to look at me. Before swimming over to me along with Kirishima.

"BAKUGOU!" they all moved in sync like a school of fish hunting their prey.

"Are you okay?" Kirishima was the first to ask worry riddled all over his words. His eyes trailing all over my body to make sure I wasn't hurt anywhere. Ignoring the shiver that ran up my spine from my tailbone.

"Yes Bakugou you scared us sh*tless," Pikachu said from behind the pink octopus.

"Kirishima said you just fainted!" Pinky joined in

I felt a little tug on my arm, "Are you okay Baku-nii?" Marina said quietly as her hand, held tightly onto my arm.

Baku-nii!

Pushing down the thought of being called brother by the sister of Kirishima. I looked up once more to face all the idiotic faces that were looking at me with worry.

"Yes, I'm fine." I shot out. Not giving in to the pleasure of being cared for once more, I slammed down the small happy feeling that was threatening to show, but after looking at Kirishima's face it bounced back up. Dragging a smile along with it.

"You f*cking idiots.." I let out quietly as I turned around trying to hide my ever-growing smile.

It's been a while since I felt like people care about me…

I once again ignore the nagging feeling that it was all temporary and that I didn't deserve any of this.

….

I swam over to a cliff that led to the depths of who knows. Staring into the abyss I felt a tugging sensation getting stronger and stronger before….

"Bakugou." The familiar soothing voice of Kirhims ran through my head. I twisted my head harshly to face him.

"Kirishima?" I coughed out. He swam beside me and looked at me in the eyes. Even though I knew it wasn't the right time. I couldn't control the drumming of my heart. Along with heat creeping across my face.

"What happened?" he uttered out relatively quietly.

"What do you mean sh*tty ha-"

"DON'T SHITTY HAIR ME!" His voice struck me straight in the gut. "We were about to save Denki and Mina but imagine my surprise when one of the people I care the most about is on the ground unconscious and surprise surprise he can't wake up. ALL I could do was get you out of the ship before leaving you outside a dangerous area to save our friends only to... only to!" Kirishima's body was practically vibrating with fear and a sense of loss.

An emotion I knew all too well.

"I-I'm sorry" Were the only words could mutter out.

"Don't. Just tell me what happened." He said with a hint of desperation in his shaky voice.

I-I can't tell him that I fainted from overbearing fear and worries. Then he'll know I'm not that strong and he can't know my weakness. He'll look down on me he'll ridicule me he'll…

"It was my magic" I lied "I used it too much so I got exhausted" I continued. The poisonous feeling of the lie made me feel sick. The tracking magic doesn't require any power. "I..that is why I fainted." I looked over at the abyss ignoring the burning sensation of Kirhima drilling his eyes into the side of my face.

"I was worried…" he quietly uttered out. His words involuntarily sending another shiver through my body.

I ignore the knowledge that I knew Kirishima wasn't like that and he would probably accept me with open arms, but... I couldn't… I needed an excuse to justify lying to him

"Why it's not like I was going to die" My smirk faltered "or anything…" I boasted, trying to keep up my facade. It was becoming very hard as he seemed to be inept in being able to easily tear down my walls.

"Because Bakugou…" He trailed once more.

"What?" I said turning my body to face him.

"Because... I am In love with you."

Chapter 21, Instincts

In the Sanctuary or at least that's what my mum called it. We were given the opportunity to learn or in other words we were forced to go to school. I was an A++ student of course always getting the highest grades in class and always being the first to answer questions thrown at me by the teacher. People were always envious of me. I didn't care as that was what my mum had told me.

Anyways, they were a lot of things that stuck with me, a lesson that stood out to me the most was when we learned about instinct. Every fish has an instinct "fight or flight". When put in a dangerous and or scary situation. I being Bakugou Katsuki immediately started saying how I would never run from a fight that my only instinctual reaction would be to fight. That I could take down everything that came my way. I mean I am still the same now, I fight any time I can, though I am older so I know when I can't fight against someone, though that only applies to when I'm in a fight where the opponent has my one and only weakness blue coral. Though any other situation, I would fight.

At Least that's what I thought until Kiri-f*cking-shima had to confess to me like that. He had to say it in such a way as well. I mean I should be thrilled ecstatic that the person I like likes me too, but...In the instance the only thought that clouded my mind was.

Run

That's exactly what I did, I let my instincts consume me and I ran my tail started flapping all on it's own. I shot through the sea currents like a bullet shot from a sea rock gun. Noticing a little cave I moved there. I floated slowly to the bottom of the cave. A sigh escaped my lips.

Why did he fall in love with me?

Why did he fall in love with you of all people?

The fact that he was in love with me, sent my mind into a flurry. I couldn't stop the red that wanted dust my cheeks from escaping. The fact he was in love with me made me so incredibly happy, but...

I don't know why? His way to nice and I'm-I'm just a useless type of fish, only meant to be breed with….

Maybe he just wants to f*ck you?

The thought ran a shiver down my back. The thought itself made me feel extremely queasy. Even though I know Kirishima wasn't like that. He wouldn't do that to me. He is way too nice, he is way...too good for me...

You're not good enough for him you know.

The thought hanging heavily upon my shoulders. Like a lake-ghost looming over me.

Maybe I shouldn't...people wouldn't be happy if he ended up with someone like me…

"Who cares!"

My late mother's cherry voice with the subtle hint of deepness voice rang through my head like a bell.

The distant memory flooding my mind like a flood gate being opened.

"But they said I wasn't allowed to because I was a -"

"Don't listen to them, you are an amazing fish! No matter what type you are, I mean look at me I'm a sea witch a type of fish that has been hated for many generations do I look like I care what other people think?!"

"No…"

"Then why do you?" Her smile glowing brightly like the rays of the sun shining into the sea.

"Because that's what they said" I mumbled out

"Who cares!"

"What?" I had said quietly gazing downwards at her orange-tinted tail. It was a secret but to me, it was the most beautiful tail I had ever seen.

"WHO F*CKING CARES!" Her boasturious tone gained my attention. I looked up to her blazing face. Fulled with smiles and pride. "Who fucking cares what other think! You are you! You can feel think and do whatever you f*cking want. Because you are Bakugou f*cking Katsuki, the son of Bakugou f*cking Mitsuki" She pulled me into my arms and squeezed all the oxygen out of me.

"Who are you?!" she had screamed in my ear

..

Gazing at the rock underneath my tail...the words the escaping my lips before I could stop them

"I AM BAKUGOU KATSUKI!"

My mother's smiling face flashed between my eyes. A look of content and happiness shone in her eyes.

Maybe it was me hearing things. But it that moment I swore I had heard.

"Now, that's my boy."

I couldn't hold down the smile that crept its way onto my face. I got up and looked at the exit of the cave I was in.

Maybe I can...maybe I have the right too? No, of course, I can for I am

"Bakugou f*cking Katsuki the son of Bakugou Mitsuki!"

Pushing down the itching feeling of what I was doing was wrong and I didn't deserve someone like him. I made my way out of the cave. Taking in a deep breath I made my way to my Kirishima.

Chapter 22, It's Because you're YOU..?

Making my way over to where my companions sat, I noticed the red hair, his usual bright and cheery smile replaced with a sullen and moody expression. Before I knew it I was yelling his name.

"KIRISHIMA! COME THE F*CK OVER HERE RIGHT F*CKING NOW!" My loud and prideful voice alarmed my companions including Kirishima, making them jump back in surprise.

'Bakugou?' even though I wasn't close enough to hear him. I could make out his words from his lips. Especially my name as I loved the way he called me. With so much interest and happiness from being able to say my name. Made me feel all jittery inside.

"YES, WHO DO YOU THINK? YOU F*CKING IDIOT! NOW COME THE F*CK HERE RIGHT NOW! I have something I want to tell you…" I muttered out the last part. Because my voice was becoming hoarse from my louder than usual yells. It was the only reason and not any other. Yeah...

After a few moments of him gazing up at me with those big red puppy dog eyes that just want to make you gaze at them forever.

Shaking my head violently I took in a few deep breaths to clear my outrageous thoughts.

BUT... IT WOULD be nice to…

"Bakugou…?" Kirishima's deep and sullen voice freed me from the rabbit hole I was about to fall into. I looked up to be met with his big red eyes gazing directly into mine. The proximity of our faces instantly sent heat to face. I could practically feel myself blush.

"Come here" I grabbed his thick and muscular wrist with my hands, punny in comparison and dragged him away from peering eyes. He didn't say anything and followed along like a leading an Original Fish being led astray by some bait.

I took us to a cliff that led to the depths of the unknown. Like if you fell into it you would never return. We sojourned there for a while, neither of us speaking up. That was until the muteness became too overbearing and I couldn't take it anymore. As I was about to yell at Kirishima, but Kirishima beat me to it. Instead in a whisper, Kirishima spoke the first few words. Starting an urgent conversation.

"I'm sorry…"

What the f*ck?

"I shouldn't have confessed right?"

What was this f*cker talking about?

"I just thought that maybe you liked me too!" He let out a forced smile. "So I was hoping you would at least think about. But I guess that wasn't the case as you outright fled away from me like I was a predator…" He let out a long and tired sigh. Fumbling with his hands, a nervous habit he was seeming to develop.

My heart clenched at the sigh I knew I shouldn't have done that but…

"Why did you fall in love with me?" I needed, I just needed to know I wanted to know even if it was a lie I would be fine with it I just…

"I don't know…" Those words struck me straight through my heart. Almost diminishing anything expectations I had thought off. "Maybe...it's because your beautiful" He started back up again. "Maybe it's because you're cute? Then again beauty and cuteness practically go hand in hand." He got up and turned around to face the cliff we were by. "Maybe it's because I just can't get you out of my head. Maybe it's because you're so f*cking smart. Maybe it's because you're something I can never hope to be…" He turned around to face me. A small smile ever so present on his glowing face.

"But I think most importantly, it's because you're YOU."

Because I'm me?

I was speechless. All I could do was stare at him with utter confusion and emotions I hadn't perceived before. His damn sh*tty red hair swaying to and fro from the currents coming from the depths of the cliff. He looked into the depths of the cliff once more. My eyes trailing his.

"You know Bakugou, my love for you is like this cliff right here, I was always at the edge but one day. It seems I just fell straight in." He said as he leaned over the cliff. I was getting chills all over me I didn't like where this was going one bit. "I was always going around it teetering close to the edge. But slowly and slowly it's like I was being pushed, but instead of being pushed my tail started to flap on its own. Until eventual, I flew straight into it headfirst. Sinking into the darkness but instead of fear, I felt comfort. A happiness that I had never felt before, Falling deeply in love with you." He turned around to face me once more. "And I think I still am." Before I knew what was happening he free-fell straight into the depths of the cliff. I bolted over to the edge of the cliff only to see as the darkness engulfed him.

"Kirishima!" I called out. No reply

"KIRISHIMA! YOU F*CKING IDIOT!" Still no reply. My eyes darted back and forth searching for any signs that he was still there that he was okay. My heart sinking, diminishing losing hope. Not even a single sight of the bright red hair could be seen. In the pit hole that was the cliff

"Kirishima...please don't please don't leave…" I broke out, a cry was evident. "Eijiro...please…" Before I knew it gross sobs were tearing through my throat. Tears poured out of me like a flood gate had been broken open. The tears merging with the water around me erasing the traces of tears I was leaving behind. I curled up in a ball full of despair and sadness as the never-ending tears continued to gush out of my eyes that yelled all hope was lost.

Ah, I lost someone else... again didn't I?

Chapter 23, You F*cking Idiot!

"Uh...Bakugou?"

The familiar voice of the redhead, made me turn my head so fast that I felt the whiplash. My eyes rested upon the familiar red hair, and goofy face he always had on.

"Kirishima…" his name flowed out of my lips. There he was just floating there like nothing had happened like he hadn't just fallen off a damn cliff.

Wait is that his ghost!?

"Bakugou, oh sh*what happened?" he raced towards me pulling me into a comforting hug.

Warm.

He was warm meaning he wasn't dead. He wasn't f*cking dead. A breath of relief left my mouth along with chilling laughter.

Did he just trick me into thinking he killed himself?

My laughter continued, Kirishima's worried face slowly turned into a face of horror along with my face which turned into pure anger.

"WHAT THE F*CK DID YOU DO?" I looked up at him from our current position. My eyes were stinging from the tears I shed. Though that did not matter as I was blinded by rage. His neck looked very appealing to my hands.

"I...nothing," he said avoiding I eye contact with mine.

"What do you f*cking mean 'nothing' you jumped into a f*cking raven!" I screamed his uncaring attitude was really maddening me. He had almost, he had almost…

"Well it's fine, It's not like you can really fall in the ocean I mean all I could do was swim back up. That's what I did...ha, ha-"

"Don't you dare f*cking laugh," I said as I used my tail to slap his.

"Ow…"

"Even if you could swim! There is a downward current that can easily pull you down. Trapping you or making you hit against something that well indeed could kill you! Especially since you just used the majority of your energy to save your friends." I scolded.

Instead of a look of remorse like I had expected, I was met with a look of interest and c*ckiness…

What the f*ck?

"So, does that mean if I had died you would have missed me? Is that why your eyes are red, were you crying?"

My face started to heat up from embarrassment.

"What are you talking about you sh*tty hair…" I said pushing his body away from mine, avoiding eye contact. I could feel the gaze of his red eyes burning into my face.

"Bakugou…" he said quietly. Moving closer towards me, every time he did I would swim back a bit. "Bakugou." He repeated as finally, I felt my body hit a rock. He moved closer towards me knowing he had me cornered.

The feeling of my back against the wall and his intent gaze sent shivers down my back.

"What is it sh*tty hair!" I said still avoiding his gaze and glancing behind me for a way to escape.

"Look at me..." He said right by my ear his raspy and seductive voice almost made me let out a yelp. Though I held it down just barely.

"Look at me Bakugou." This time it was more of a demand and a lot closer to my ear than previously that I could feel the small currents moved by his voice tickle my ear. This time around I couldn't hold down the yelp that broke free from my lips and into the open.

I slowly glanced up at him, to meet his heated gaze his red eyes seemed to burn with lust and wanting. Before I knew what was happening he slammed his lips straight into mine.

His lips devoured mine as I was frozen from the overwhelming feelings that were racing through my mind.

Though the one that was mainly swarming through my mind was.

Why didn't we f*cking do this sooner?

His tongue licked my lips asking for entrance which I gladly gave. From there he explored every inch and corner of my mouth. Moans escaped my mouth along with the grunts that escaped his. We kept on kissing like it was the end of the world. Our bodies had always been longing for each other but we had ignored their pleas until now.

This was by far my first kiss but...this was the first time. I felt loved, and needed for, unlike the other kisses that were poor lust and nothing else. I felt happy...really happy.

I felt like I could love again like I had the right to like everyone else.

Before long Kirishima was the first to pull away, leaving my lips a whimper escaped from them.

I still wanted to kiss more. What the f*ck I'm I thinking.

Though I was indeed craving for more….

"Ah, I'm so sorry Bakugou I don't know what came over me...I didn't mean to kiss you it just happened. I know you don't like me the way I do to you. I am so sorry! I know you hate me...I just-" I caught him off by pulling him down to my level and slamming my lips into his.

I pulled away staring at his bewildered expression. Licking my lips seductively I smirked up at him. Slowly I swam towards his face. Dragging him down once more. I whispered into his ear.

"Who said I didn't like you?" and with that, I swam away towards the campsite. Where everyone else was and was probably wondering where we were. I smirked at the intense feeling of lust that once again escaped Kirihima's body.

"BAKUGOU~!" he whined after me as he rushed to my side. Pulling me into a big hug.

"Let go, you idiot!" I said squirming in his grip. Only for his to hug me tighter. Before I knew it I was laughing my ass off. Pure happy and real laughter. I hadn't laughed in so long I didn't know why my body has suddenly decided to make me laugh "Let haha go of me haha!" I said in between laughs. His gaze was frozen onto me. "What I'm not allowed to f*cking laugh?" Before I knew it, his blank face turned into one of utter bliss.

His smile shone onto me warmer than ever.

Chapter 24, *Sigh*

"So what you're saying is that you want to meet the person who aided in the help of capturing you, and was supposed to skin you alive for your scales or your tail in this case, as most eel types have no scales. That isn't the point. The point is you want to see him again! Are you feeling alright or are you just dumber than I thought you already were!" I yelled, my headache rapidly increasing from this f*cker's suggestion!

I had just gotten back from the ravine we were by, along with Kirishima following right behind me. I had told him to be 5 feet behind me and not to touch me while we were around others. So, of course, he made his ends meet by us having our bodies practically glued to one another. I didn't move away though, maybe it's all the emotions that were running rampant within me. From him confessing to me, then jumping into the ravine. Then, of course, the kiss. Just thinking about it made my face heat up a little.

Now that I think about it all these emotions that have been swirling in the pit of my stomach all come from him! Even so, having him so close to me calmed me down. Though once we started nearing the site I immediately tore away from him. Reverting to my normal personality. With a cold glare settling nicely onto my face. I waltzed over there. Kirishima groaned once I did that, and he tried to try to stick back to me; only for him to get a whack from my tail.

Having spent a lot of time there, Mina, of course, started to suggest things that were most definitely not true. Except maybe the kissing part. Kirishima had initially made no move to touch me after the kiss and hug, but that caused him to treat me like he had when we were nothing more than people who travel the sea together. To get to this magical tower that may or may not even exist. To grant two wishes for individual benefits. Though Kirishima's own isn't really selfish as he's plan is to bring back his entire village.

But mine? It really was just a selfish wish from a very selfish fish that just wants to change who he was because he secretly hated himself.

ha.

But that isn't the focus.

Pikaeel had then (along with octo-pink might I add) said they wanted to meet this fi-human named Sero or whatnot. Are they equally dumb! Even I thought octo-pink might be smarter than them but I guess that wasn't the case.

"Bakugou, please! His the one who aided in our escape plan!" Mina retorted. Her many limbs flailing around behind her in annoyance.

"Might I also add HE WAS THE ONE TO KILL YOU!" I yelled back in frustration.

"Well, he didn't" Pikaeel retorted with a pout.

"He didn't have the time to because we saved your asses before he could!" we were going in a never-ending circle. Like a hamster on a hamster wheel. We kept on running the conversation hoping to get somewhere but staying in the exact same spot.

"NO! We had a whole plan that didn't evolve blowing up the ship, might I add took a lot of time for them to build." The eel yelled back at me.

"WHO CARES ABOUT A STUPID HUMAN SHIP! It was a mer-hunter ship, serves them right!" I smirked feeling pride in being able to destroy such an infishmane (Inhumane) vehicle.

"I CARE! Sero said it took a lot of time and effort and he and his crew spent a lot of money on it," he said full-on glaring at me. The burning rage in his eyes started setting ablaze my inner rage.

"Uh...Bakugou" the meek and quiet voice from Kirishima that disturbed my very important AND reasonable conversation with this stupid eel, just boosted my anger. "I don't think you guys should...uh...fight."

"IT DOESN'T CONCERN YOU!" We both retorted angrily glaring daggers, like shark gazing upon its next meal. At the shrinking supposedly "strong fish"

"Yes." He immediately saluted at us shooting straight behind his sister for protection. I turned back to face my conversation with that stupid eel.

Now...where were we? Oh yes.

"They probably got the money from-"

"No. They said they got in from working, from other human jobs" he quickly spat out

"Well, how do you know he's not lying?" I shot back at him

"Well-well..." he struggled to come up with an excuse

"Ha, what's wrong eel? catfish's got your tongue. Aren't ya gonna defend the 'honor' of that so-called nice human?"

"Bakugou don't be so mean. Denki's in love for the poor boy's sake let him see the human one last time to settle his feelings." Mina butted in. She glanced sadly at Denki. Whose face had gone from anger to pure hopelessness.

"Uh...Baku-nii I would also like to say goodbye to the nice human Sero…." Marina squeaked out from behind me. Her sudden presence made me flinch back. But I quickly cooled at the realization of who it was.

Why is it getting harder and harder to stop this idiots? This is such a dumb idea.

Marina glanced up at me giving me the biggest guppy-fish look. The longer I continued to gaze into those big pink eyes of hers the harder it was saying no. A thought raced through my mind.

What kind of stupid Idea is this we just saved these idiots from them and now they wanna go back? I can't

No, I won-

"Please Bakugoubro"

"Please Katsuki"

"Please Baku-nii"

"Please Bakugou!"

I glanced back up at them in between my hands. To see all of them making the same face as Marina, even Kirishima who hadn't even been a part of this. I glared at them for a few more seconds. Before groaning into my palms.

"FINE!" I yelled back, I turned around and swam away angrily towards a place where I could calm down peacefully. "DON'T BLAME ME IF ONE OF YOU GETS CAPTURED OR KILLED!" I yelled back at them. "IF I FEEL ANY DANGER I'LL LEAVE YOU GUYS!"

"Oh Bakugoubro, we know you won't leave us behind, after all, we are all friends aren't we. If we did die Bakugou you'll be all alone and you'll miss us a lot won't you~" Octo-Pink said her sing-song voice followed after me. I flipped her off in response.

"Ouch," she said with a smirk in her tone.

You don't emotionally manipulate me!

Chapter 25, I can too!

"Okay, sooo...who'll go first?" All of us were floating by the surface of the water not wanting to leave the comfort of the sea.

"You should go first eel face, after all, you are the only one who has been onto land!" I stated. He gave me a look of horror, while the others nodded in agreement. The only one who seemed to be thinking differently was Kirishima. Going by the look in his eye he was about to-

"I will go."

-volunteer ...sigh.

"Kirishima bro, look here I know you want to be the strong fish and all but in this case-" before Pink head could finish her reasonable lecture, Kirishima had already zoomed straight past and pierced the surface of the water.

"Brother!" Marina cried from beside me

"Calm down, his fine we already poked a little at the outside world," I reassured his sister. He isn't doing a great job at the whole big brother deal.

"But-but Baku-nii, look where his going" we all darted our eyes straight towards the redhead only to see he was already a few meters away from the shore. Why the f*ck was he so fast?!

"OMG!" Mina yelled from beside me in utter panic. Everyone's faces paled at the sight of Kirishima swimming up onto the shore.

"Agh! What are we waiting for? Swim!" We all did just that rushing through the current. Until eventually we made it to the shore where we met a smiling redhead sitting on the sand, outside of the water.

I poked my head out. "What are you doing!" I said in a hushed yell. I waited for him to reply but I only got a big, bright and dumb smile in return.

"Brother…" Marina moaned beside me. She quickly shot through the water leaping a few feet into the air only to be caught by her brother. All of us stared in awe at her display. She was just like a-

"Dolphin. Yeah, our mum was dolphin our dad was an ordinary fish. So as you can see Marina was the one who got the dolphin trait." He said pretty quickly with a forced smile. "Why don't you guys come onto the shore, it doesn't hurt and the view is astounding!" He turned around, hoping no one would notice his attempt at changing the subject. Everyone knew what he was doing but didn't comment on it only complying. I was a little bit hurt at the smile he had directed towards me. Did he not trust me enough to fully tell me what happened?

Aren't we close enough?

A chuckle escaped my lips at the thoughts I was currently having

What about me? Why haven't I told him anything about myself?

Trust? Yeah right, we don't f*cking trust each other with our pasts even though we supposedly love each other.

Sh*t, how can love be a thing if there is no f*cking trust in the relationship?

The thought itself made me burst out laughing.

"Bakubro? Are you okay?" Denki looked to Mina for answers, only to be met with the same confused expression he was wearing. "Bakugou is the amount of air out here too much for your head?"

I glanced over at Kirishima, only to notice he wasn't wearing the same expression as the rest but one of pain.

He knew exactly what was swimming through my head. That I was indeed right. We had no trust for one another and that was something we realised a bit too late.

We wiggled our way onto land and after a few minutes, we were all safely onto the sand.

"It feels so weird! it's so dry! How do humans live like this?" Mina said exploring the sand with every limb she had available.

"Yeah, it does indeed feel weird," I said to myself. Rubbing my hand against the hot sand.

Why are we doing this? Just to find a guy who was supposed to kill them earlier. We are out in the open on the shore where we are infinitely more weaker.

I swayed my tail back and forth digging up the sand with each swish. How are we supposed to move around like this?

"Hey, guys look at me!" Mina exclaimed I moved my eyes to where her voice was coming from only to see her moving around the shore like it was normal or something. Her limbs worked together in sync making her movement onshore very easy. "Seems like octopi were also made to traverse land!" She boasted; her face was practically melting from the smug face she was giving.

Though what she said was indeed through her limbs made moving around that much easier.

"Ah! Me too!" Denki exclaimed I looked over at the yellow head only to be frozen in place. He was slithering on the shore cutting through the sand like it was 'water-butter.' He slithered at a quick pace as well as shooting straight past Mina, only making her determined to move even faster.

I stared at them in shock. Though I was mainly staring at Denki. Who would have thought that he, that useless extra of an eel would be able to do something I couldn't. It made my blood my boil.

Noticing my frustration the eel's excited face quickly turned into one of smugness and pride.

"Ha! It seems the all and might Bakubro can't even do something as simple as this." to rub salt in the wound he slithered back and forth at an incredible speed. Purposefully making the sand fly into my face. My face grew hot along with my palms before I knew it I was firing explosions at the eel.

"Stay still so you can have a little taste of my explosions you little mother f*cker then you'll know what I can't do and what you can do!" His face immediately fell and turned pale. His smug face transformed into one of horror and regret.

Every shot I fired at him he would yelp begging for forgiveness.

"Omg! This has to be the funniest sh*t I've ever seen!" Mina gaped and gasped she was suffocating from laughter and it only made me angrier.

"Oi! Do you think you have the right to laugh in my face Pink head!" I directed my shot at her only for her to quickly slide behind a boulder.

"You should know octopi are very slippery creatures."

"You are a slippery mother f*cker. I shot at her boulder slowly but surely chipping away at it. "Well, you should know that my explosions are very explosive.

"What is going on here?!" A un-familiar silhouette emerged from further down the shore. I glanced over at the yellow head to see his face brighten.

If I didn't know any better, I would say…

"I think that's our guy"

Chapter 26, Don't Be Selfish.

"SERO!" The yellow-headed eel screamed in utter joy. He slithered quickly over to the human who gazed back at him with a rather startled expression.

I stared at him wide-eyed at his display of affection. I could guess he had a crush on the human bastard but I didn't think it would have been this bad. "Denki you idiot what the fuck are you doing?!" Denki brushed off my warning and slither into the arms of the now blushing human.

What the actual fuck?

I sighed and turned to face Kirishima who was gazing at the human with a dead face. Which was odd as I thought he would have been the second to immediately strike up a conversation with the human. But. I analysed his expression a bit more...It seems even the friendliest fish in the entire sea can also hold a grudge. Or I guess this is more than just a grudge.

His saddened expression made me want to move over there and comfort him, but as I was stuck in this cursed sand and all I could do was frown at him.

I was thrown out of my thoughts when a pile of sand flew in my face. Almost blinding me.

"Who the fuck just did that?!" I yelled spitting and coughing out the sand that had managed to enter my mouth. Only for more to enter from my yelling, causing me to cough and yell some more.

"Sorry Bakubro didn't mean to do that…" the yellow head apologised helping me get some of the sand off my face so I could see him better. I wanted to yell at him and curse at him maybe even blow him up a smidge. but, knowing it would lead to nothing other than waste our time I pushed down the anger that had already started seeping out.

"IT IS FINE." I brushed off the extra sand from my tail and hair. I glared at the human who was now directly in front of me.

"Are these your other friends?" The human said something in their strange language to Denki gesturing to me and Kirishima, who wasn't saying anything just blankly staring at us. "And the merpeople who destroyed our ship!?" the human glared back at me with murder in his eyes.

I glanced over at Denki making eye contact. Wanting to know what the human had said. Though I had a vague feeling from his eyes that screamed murder.

"Ah, oh he asked if we were acquaintances…" Denki explained still avoiding my questioning gaze.

"AAND?" Denki spun around like a spinning top displaying his back to me. He raised his tail and started flashing a bunch of lights very quickly. "What are you talking about we don't need his help we came here for you guys to say your goodbyes or whatever!" I barked at the eel.

Everybody snapped their heads towards me staring at me wide-eyed.

"Baku-nii you can speak eel?!" Marina squealed from here brother arms in excitement.

My face started to heat up from the attention I was getting. "Yeah…of course, I can who do you think I am. I was taught most of the sea-folk languages when I was around Marina's age it wasn't mandatory but being me I, of course, had to be the best in all languages so I am practically fluent in all sea-folk talk."

"That's so cool!"Kirishima commented making me swell with pride. I smirk found its way to my features.

"Wait! That's not the point, my point is we don't need the human's help! We already-

"Actually Bakugou we do." The octopus disrupted.

"What did I say about fish interrupting me-"

"I'm not a fish. Anyways as I was saying until your whiny ass started complaining."

"hey, I'm not-"

"Don't interrupt me" She glared daggers at me shutting me up immediately "We need the human's help because the next part of our journey is to go through a red coral reef," Mina said with a frightened gaze. I glanced over at Denki and saw he was flashing in tail translating to the human what we were talking about. Which irked me slightly but I ignored it focusing back on what the octopus was saying.

"So?" Nowhere scared me and I could survive anywhere as long as there is no blue coral I was fine.

"What do you mean 'so'? That place is known for its dangerous terrain and strong currents that can easily get you trapped there! Along with its frightful predators that are almost the same size as a WHALE! Bakugou you are not the only one on this journey, you might be able to get through there on your own, but not all of us."

"Yeah, but we can always do something the currents won't be as bad as they say they are as long as we fight against them I'm sure we can-"

"What about Marina!?" she gestured her many appendages at the young girl who was gazing at me with a frightened expression. "She is just a young juvenile do you think she would be able to fight against the strong currents?!" She strode over to be her many limbs digging the sand away leaving a weird print in the sand.

"You have to think about other Bakugou and not only yourself!" She finished, panting from her outraged cry. She made her way over to Denki who lights had just finished off the last part of our conversation. My eyes landed on the human who was staring at me in utter disgust and surprise.

.shit.

I had nothing to say, I was left completely speechless I just glared at the sand squeezing it in my hands the feeling of the sand making its way into my nails was uncomfortable but it was merely a dim light compared to the blearing feeling of discomfort I was feeling from their disappointed gazes.

I searched Kirishima's red eyes for a hint of compassion but I was also met with the same disappointment, though it seemed to hurt a lot more when it was him.

Mina was completely right. I was a selfish fish who wanted everything to go exactly my way along with my big pride that didn't make things better.

There was no point in being prideful right now. "Okay fine. Let's go with your plans…"

"Okay so this is what we had planned-" before Denki could start we got a little surprise

"Sero! Are you there?!"

Chapter 27, Another one?!

For an instant, we all froze, as an unfamiliar human appeared from the same path Sero had come from. I could feel the atmosphere staling and I felt incredibly sick. We are going to be found out, we are going to be found out; be attacked; they are going to call reinforcements; we won't be able to get away; we are going to be skinned and descaled; we are going to be-

"Katsuki." I felt warm arms wrap around my chilled skin. "Calm down okay, calm down." Kirishima soft whispers tickled my ear and calmed my racing heart. He pulled away from our embrace. The loss of warmth almost made me whimper. I pushed it back looking at his eyes that reflected mine. He smiled at me and mouthed it was going to be okay. He snatched my hand into his and gave it a reassuring squeeze. I snapped my eyes shut and calmed my panicking brain. I am going to be okay, we are going to be okay. I gazed at him red meeting red and he flashed me his heart-wrenching smile before breaking eye contact to view the new human who was now in clear view.

The human appeared to be of the female variety and was long and skinny, with Black hair and a straight bang she had two long handfuls of hair hanging in front of both ears reaching to her shoulder. She wore a wide-eyed expression along with her gaping mouth that was most likely going to attract flies. As she stared I secretly got ready to throw an explosion at her in case she tried to do something. Before anything could happen the hu-Sero stepped forward.

"Jiro, hey how are you doing?!"The human started to say something in their language none of us understood. Except for maybe Denki who had said he was taught some on their ship when it was not, you know, exploded.

"Sero, what in the name of the seven seas are you doing here!" She glanced over at us "And with Mer-people for that matter! Are you trying to get all the cash for yourself?!"

"NO!"Sero suddenly exclaimed, startling all of us including the girl "They are my friends."he said after clearing his throat.

"Is that so…." the girl glanced over at us once more this time her eyes stopped on me and they wouldn't leave. Feeling threatened I retaliated with a glare of my own. "Who is he?" she said as she pointed at me. Her eyes never leaving contact, they held recognition and intrigue. Something I didn't like. Her pointing made it all the worse I felt as if I was being ridiculed.

"Him? Oh, his name is Bakugou, he has insane anger issues and you shouldn't mess with him." He paused for a moment. "Do you know him or something?" Sero said with a serious tone.

The black-haired woman named Jiro apparently didn't reply at first, instead gazed deeper into me than I thought anyone could, before, finally breaking eye contact with me and turning to face Sero. "No. I have never met him before."

For whatever reason, the atmosphere became even heavier than it already was even though I had no idea what they had been talking about but it still felt uncomfortable knowing someone had been talking about me without my permission. In fact, I was so angry that I shot an explosion straight at her. As if she knew what was going to befall her she dodged swiftly avoiding my explosion that hit a nearby boulder smashing it into little rocks.

"Jiro are you okay?!" Sero panicked, she stared at me before waltzing over to me I stared back dumbfounded at the fact a species could dodge one of my explosions more so a human. Before I knew it she was in front of me analysing every inch of me. I felt exposed, weak and extremely uncomfortable; an explosion was simmering in my palms once more getting ready to be let onto the woman standing in front of me. Before anything could happen she twisted her body away from me to face Sero once more. The feeling of being weak gone and the once simmering explosion now cooled.

"Do any of your so-called 'friends' have my translator?" What? The woman seemed to have asked a question because Sero shrugged in response to whatever she said. "How are you able to communicate with them then?"

Sero pointed proudly to the stunned Denki lost from the pace of their conversation. I guess there is only so much an eel can learn. I scoffed inwardly "He can use morse code so we communicated using that, though he calls it 'eel'" Not saying another word Jiro stalked over to Denki. She gazed down at him with an unreadable expression. I could see Denki gulp in fear and put on a straining smile. Even I felt slightly bad for him. Without warning, Jiro put her hands together and starting slapping them against each other creating this weird sound. huh. I didn't know you could make noises with your hands on the land. I quietly observed intrigued by the new discovery, I was going to try this later. She clapped her hands at specific lengths and strength. I immediately recognised it as 'eel'. Though what struck me the most was not the fact that another human knew 'eel' but it was what she was saying.

"OMG! You are a real eel, I never actually saw you guys properly, I didn't know we caught and eel. That is so cool, can you like to produce eel-ectricity?! Sorry for my bad joke, can you also power and entire city?! Wow, your tail is so long and smooth like a-" Sero pulled her away from the yellow-headed idiot who was still staring dumbfounded at Jiro, before racing straight to her and flashing his own sets of lights.

She studied them as if her life was on the line before smiling and clapping in response. I sighed as I translated their conversation. It was mainly about how 'cool' eels were and what they could do. From the corner of my eye, I saw a pouting Sero.

"THIS ISN'T FUN! We can't understand a single thing!" Marina whined from behind her brother. This made Denki turn his head.

"She actually has a translator." He casually threw out.

"Then why didn't you say anything?! " Mina yelled at him.

"That's because she lost it when the ship exploded." I could feel every non-human staring daggers at me. "It's long and blue with the symbol of a-

"Fish, right?" Kirishima suddenly said snapping everyone's head towards him he hadn't said anything for a while and was instead watching everyone from afar.

"Yes, how did you know?" Kirishima reached into his pouch he always had on. He fished for an item, after a few moments he brought out a long blue stick with the said fish symbol. Without warning Jiro flew straight into Kirishima; sending him flying. She snatched the supposed translator before blowing into it.

"What just happened?" I looked up at the old but somehow new voice, realising it was coming from Sero, I just understood him. I scanned the others and saw they were also looking straight at him as well-meaning.

We understand him.

Chapter 28, Someday...

What the fuck am I doing in this-this! "Fucking cage!" I huffed out flailing my arms and tail around splashing the water, sending it out of the 'cage' we were in.

"Bakugou, it isn't a cage, it is the safest way for us to travel to the tower!" Mina raised her many limbs, grabbing me and putting me to a standstill. "It was the only way there without having to go through the Red Coral Reef and we already had our conversation about this" she glared at me and I mirrored her more threatening might I add.

What essentially had happened was that after we had gotten over the awe of the translator and had properly introduced ourselves the two idiots of the group, ( Kirishima and Denki) had blurted out our entire plan and where we were going and why. I think that was one of the first time I had felt the strongest urge to kill. Mina had held me back with her limbs refusing to let me go until I calmed down. As I was being held against my will, that human Jiro said something about there being a tower exactly as to how Denki described the Wave Point. That immediately garnered my attention and I soon shut up about wanting to kill them.

The human said it was in a forest it was a different kind of forest than the ones we were used called, Coral Forests, and as the name suggests it was a bunch of corals in one area. The ones they talked about were made up of trees I had seen trees they were rare in the deep reef but occasionally your would see one, but apparently, once again these were different types of trees. Trees that weren't underwater? It was such a bizarre thought but a lot of things that I had seen underwater could also be found on land. That wasn't the point though, they said that the only way to go there and not through the Red Coral Reef was to go onto land, but because I, Kirishima and his sister couldn't move around without moving at a sea snail's pace it would be impossible to reach there without someone finding us.

Then-then came the fucking brilliant idea for them to take us! I was appalled and disgusted and was very much against it but apparently what I want doesn't fucking matter. We didn't need their help! We didn't, but because of a certain red-headed fish's ability to sway me, I eventually agreed. I couldn't help it, the way he whispered please and my name into my ears sent massive shivers down my neck. Especially now that I could feel his hot raspy breath tickle my ears. It was impossible to ignore.

Now I regret it severely, I wish I wasn't swayed so easily from Kirishima, but the way he talked and acted sometimes just turns me into fish mush. After a few minutes of waiting for Sero and Jiro to come back I had been tempted to just swi-flop away. Though they came back with this metallic monster that was sitting on four rubber doughnuts. It was making very weird noises and was giving me the same vibe as the mer-hunter ships. I was getting ready to attack the foul beast before Sero and Jiro hopped out of its side, completely fine.

They introduced their "other baby" to us. They said it was called a truck and everyone became completely infatuated with it, especially Marina and Mina. Asking questions and how it worked and so on. I most unquestionably did not care but nothing stopped me from listnening to their conversations about how it worked. I would have been interesting if I didn't care, and I most definitely did not!

Behind the "truck" were two large glass cages stuffed with water though they did not seal the top. I immediately knew what they had planned and had been against it severely and was very put off with the idea of being carried around like some prized possession, Sero and Jiro said that they had everything planned out and like the extras, everyone is they all trusted them completely. After some pleas and comprises I agreed with going with their plan.

Now here we are in the middle of nowhere with just a path in front of us and grass all around us as far as the eye could see. Everyone had been staring at the view in fascination, including me but there is only so much interest you can take in the grass for an hour plus now everyone was just enjoying the wind and the feeling of the sun on everyone's pale white skin for being in the deep reef for so long. Even now my eyes kind of stung from the constant brightness of the world after all our bodies had adapted for the darkness brought from the environment and the people.

I sighed as the wind slapped my face. Sending my hair flying from the speed of the vehicle. It was weird at first but none of us fell sick, my theory is that because we live in the ocean we are experienced with moving around upside down sideways any direction really building up our immunity to- my theory was quickly shattered as I heard gagging and burping coming from a certain redhead.

"Are you joking?" I said with a lack of tone in my voice, Kirishima was leaning out of the enclosure the both of us decided to stay in (it was one of my compromises) Marina, Mina and Denki decided to stay in the other one. I mean there was more than enough room for many more so that was okay.

"Katsuki~" the redhead whined swimming over to me to pull me into a hug, he had started calling me by my given name when we were alone or he was trying to gain my attention. I know it's stupid but I couldn't help the flutter in my heart every time I heard him say my name with his seductive husky voice that seemed to sound even better out here on land. It's like I can hear each and every pitch. "Help me~ I feel-ugh horrible right now," he said in between gags.

I flinched from his grasp on my hips but made no effort to move away. "It's not my fault that your shitty hair is giving you a headache."

"What~ it's not my hair" his once spiky hair had fallen and rested on his shoulders. The item he had applied to his hair to spike his hair had evaporated once air started touching it. I laid my head onto his shoulder inhaling his scent deeply. I really really loved the way it smelt on land, like wet mud with a strong showing of this purple flower I had smelt previously, lavender they called it. It was so intoxicating it was my drug and I was the abuser that had no plans to stop. I smiled softly as he did the same letting out a satisfied sigh. I felt calm and happy at the moment, my inner self-doubt was no longer affecting me that much of course it was still there but because of the people I had met, my…..friends…..I felt like I truly belonged. I mean I didn't fully trust them but one day I will tell them.

One day I will tell him. I will tell him everything, every inch of me, every part of me. Something I had not told anyone something I haven't even told myself.

If that day comes I think I would be able to say that I truly am happy that I deserve happiness as much as the next person.

If that day comes I will be able to tell you that

I love you.

With no doubt in my mind no inner self to destroy me and with happiness radiating from every inch of me.

I think then I would be complete

I think then I would be…

Katsuki Bakugou, your one and only and you would be my one and only.

But…

For now, this is okay.

I am way too much of a coward, someone no one can love, someone with no right to love.

Even so, I want it so I will take it without looking back.

I closed my eyes once more and smiled in the arms of someone I truly cared about.

Chapter 29, Was This What I...Wanted?

I had been lost in my own thoughts as I stared at the unfamiliar and empty scenery flying past me. The wind had been blowing my golden hair from my face and letting me breathe in the thing humans called "air". To me it was a mystery why we could breathe it and why the humans couldn't in turn couldn't breathe in water. That was not something I was going to dwell on for long as I was more interested in the reason why? "That skinny ass female human was still staring at my scales!" I exclaimed my thoughts out loud. " Do you want to descale me or some shit, what the fuck is your problem?!" I started with murder in my eyes at the black haired human, she had been sitting on the top of the truck and had been staring at me for a while now.

"Ah. Sorry-" she looked away from me bashfully "it's just that I have never seen a mermai- mermen sorry, with such pretty scales…" she trailed off as her eyes became lost in the shine of my scales once more.

"I know right! When I first met Bakugou his scales were what led me to him in the first place." Kirishima butted in out of nowhere and I was having none of it.

"We are talking about that shitty ha-"

"Oh yeah how did you meet Bakugou, Kirishima?" Mina said joining in on the ever growing conversation. I wasn't liking where this conversation was going.

"Hey! It's none of your damn-" I tried to interrupt

"Actually it started when-" Kirishima continued without any care for my defiance

Ugh

I groaned in annoyance before moving to a conner of the tank I would not be disturbed in, nobody batting an eye to my disappearance. I settled down in the coner at countiued gazing at the sun as it slowly sunk beneath the horizon. My eyes had been unable to leave the beautiful view that I had never witnessed before, the warm brigt orange and yellow colours of the sun slowly faded into a dark blue and purple, with a shade of pink. As time went on it blues and purple became a darker shade, it was so beautiful nothing that I had ever laid eyes on in the ocean. It was always one type of brightness we got we was dark or darker. It was what we were accustomed to what we were grown around. None of us sea folk had probably been up here in ages.

"Pretty isn't it?" I was brought out of my hazen thoughts, I looked in the direction of where the voice was coming from. It was from the weird black haired human again.

"What do you want." I spoke rather harshly trying to hint at my displeasure in having this conversation.

"You are a Coral Fish aren't you?" I froze from her statement the water I was in feeling a little colder than usual, I was having a harder time breathing than I would have liked.

How does she know? Only a set few know about my breed why does she know?! Is she going to tell them, are they going to turn their backs on me after they find out? How, how do I avoid this confrontation.

"Wh-what are you-"

"From your reaction the others don't know and you don't want them to don't you?"

"What do you want?" if there was something she wanted i would give her just as long as she didn't say anything.

"Oh. I am so sorry I didn't mean to come off in a threatening way. It's just that I haven't meant a Coral fish in so long so I just wanted to confirm. I was also wondering now that I know why don't you tell the others."

I stared at her in shock from her bashful expression I could tell she really wasn't lying.

She's right why don't you just tell them?

Why don't I just tell them?

You know they answer.

I released a rather tired sigh. Yes I do know.

"Since you know the type of fish i am, then you also know why we are so rare and sought after." I spoke out not even sparing a glance at her.

"Oh...yes, I'm sorry this might not be my place to speak out but, they aren't bad people. I am sure if you tell them they won't hate you or anything. I am sure they would accept you just the way you are. I am pretty sure Kirishima would accept you the way you are."

I glared up at her what did she mean"Oi! What does that shitty hair have to do with-"

"You know I am right." her eyes met mine unwavering, "He would love you just the way you are." shut up an in audible sound escaped my lips her knowing gaze shot straight through my walls, that now seemed to be as delicate as glass. "You know just that, but that isn't what you are afraid of, right?" shut up "Special fish" Shut up:"You are afraid to loose him." Shut up"just like you lost her."

"SHUT UP!" I exclaimed, I was panting my eyes were burning with rage.

Shut up

Shut up

Shut up

Shut up

But you know it's true

I was unable to focus on anything, her face as she told me to run clearer than ever in my mind.

"Baku-nii…." my eyes snapped open, my vision cleared and I was met with worried faces for a moment. I panicked because I couldn't recognise a single one, but Kirishima's obnoxious red hair had brought me back to our current situation. I had thought I had gotten better at this, at keeping myself at check from not letting it control me….

"Katsuki…." I ignored Kirishima's worried tone and dragged my eyes to the sandy floor beneath me

"Are you okay Bakubro, you haven't been looking to good since we entered this tank?" The familiar vibrant tone of Denki now turned sour and worried. "Do you know what happened Jiro, you were talking to him last."

"I-I don't know he just zoned out in the middle of our conversation before shouting like that…" I could hear Jiro's worried tone completely different from the way she had spoken earlier. Had she been the one speaking?

"Hey Bakugou I think you might need a break"

I don't need a break all I need is for you guys to shut up, I wanted to yell but bite down the words.

"If you can't handle the journey then we can go back."

"What the fuck are you talking about, do you think I would turn back now?!" this time however I couldn't hold it back. I could feel the heat rising up from the pits of places I did not want to go.

"Calm down Bakugou, I think Mina is just worried I mean you have been acting strange, Mina is just trying to be a nice friend-"

"I NEVER ASKED FOR YOU GUYS TO TALK TO ME, SO SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!" I roared completely letting myself go.

Is this what you have been holding back?

My eyes shut up to be met with hurt filled gazes from Mina, Denki and especially Kirishima. My heart throbbed from regret.

No, wait I didn't-I didn't mean that!

Are you sure Bakugou I think that had always been in your heart but you just never said anything

No, that isn't-

Then apologise, look at all of them you hurt everyone of them, even Kirishima.

I met gazes with Kirishima's only to be met with a scornful look.

Oh. would you look at that he didn't smile. He's angry at you! Or do you just not care.

I ignored the voice in my head and the hurt stares I was receiving and I turned to face the gloomy and darkned scenery, that was a direct reflection on how I was feeling. I noticed the scenery slow down and I was able to take in more of the details, but my mind just couldn't focus.

I was going to deal with everything even if I am by myself. Even if Kirishima leaves me. I will be fine. I will be just fine. Because this is want I wanted I wanted everyone to leave me alone. I never asked to fall in love. I never asked for any of this. This is exactly what I wanted. Kirishima's frown flashed in front of me. Also causing me to frown.

Was this what I wanted?

Chapter 30, WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU ALIVE?!

I sat in the furthest corner of the cage, hugging myself to shield slumped form away from the others and their expressions. I just wanted to escape, but I couldn't. I was in the middle of nowhere on land, and I can't move jack shit on this dry ground. I felt trapped. All I wanted to do was leave this current predicament, and stop hurting Eijiro. His broken smile flashed in front of my face. I really wanted to stop hurting him….

"Oooooh, is that the place Eiji-nii?" I heard Marina excited squeal at our arrival at the unknown tower.

"Yeah, seems like it and it's so tall" Kirishima's comment on the tower piqued my interest, I stole a glance at it and was awestruck, Kirishima's comment failed to adequately express how tall the tower actually was. For us sea folk we never got a real feel for height as we could swim to any height really and it's not like we could fall with our own free will. I mean unless you were hurt or someone tied something heavy to you. This though, this was on another level. The tower pierced through the dark sky and was covered by the white fluffy looking things that floated above us. They were called clouds, and apparently, they were made out of evaporated water. I wanted to know how exactly that worked but now clearly wasn't the time to ask people who you more or less said you hated, about "fluffy clouds". This was also not the time to be gazing at them either.

The roar of the truck quietened down until it was entirely soundless. It was then I realized how alone and far away we really were. It was dead silent, and the darkness of the night was creepy enough, but to be hearing weird noise just put the candle on the cake. It's not like I couldn't see what was around me, in fact, I could see just as well, maybe even better in this darkness. This all too familiar darkness perhaps that was the real reason I was so uncomfortable was that it took me back to when I was still in that-

"It feels like we are back in the Deep Reef, doesn't it?" Eijiro's quiet words startled me. He had snuck beside me, and I hadn't noticed. It kind of messed with me because being sensitive to others was kind of my speciality, especially when they harboured ill intent. But I guess that makes sense, this idiot never harbours any ill intent anyways. He was right, this darkness really did remind me of that place that seemed so far behind us. It had been weeks since we had started this journey, and I was not missing that place at all. I chose not to respond, I mean what was I supposed to say to him. After I had said, such an untruthful- no I-I wanted this! I-I….

All of a sudden, a bright light erupted through the sky, blinding us. It set the skies ablaze and pushed back the darkness with the illumination. It was almost as bright as it was this afternoon. Said light seemed not to be disappearing. I was getting ready to attack anything that jumped at us.

Suddenly, the large wooden gate of the tower crept open. All of us reflexively moved away from it and stilled ourselves for what laid behind it. The gate opened, revealing another human of the female variety it looked like. She was slightly chubby with round features in her head and body and somehow in her hair. She stared at us wide-eyed but with her also round eyes, she looked even more stunned, before her face brightened.

"AH! W-welcome to Point One!" She beamed. Point One? What did that- "Oh, I am sooo sorry we weren't expecting any visitors so this place is not that tidy…" she trailed off her eyes gazed at us sea folk and lingered on me. I was really hating how everyone I met up on the surface had been staring at me a little longer than they would have anyone else. Out of nowhere, another human emerged from the structure, he was a lot taller than the bubbly girl and had a neutral expression on his face, and he didn't even bother to look at anyone. He was tall, and would probably cause a lot of people to swoon over his looks. I was hotter, though. The only turn off for some people might be the large scar that covered his left side. It looked like he had been cooked alive on. I was intrigued, but I wasn't going to ask. His hair, however, was also strange; it was of two completely different colours, on the left side it was red and the right it was white. It was a weird style, but it oddly didn't seem to be out of place on his face.

"Are these travellers?" He questioned the brown-haired petit human.

Sero stepped up this time walking to greet the two of them "Ah. Yes, nice to meet you, my name is Sero, I was travelling with my companions" He gestured towards the rest of us. "We are headed to a place called the Wave Point, there was a rumour that this place was connected to-"

A voice I knew all too well spoke from behind us "Kaachan…" There was only one person, no one fish who called me that. I shot my face to be greeted by the familiar green-haired freak. He rushed over to the tank, tears were in his eyes. Something in me snapped from that. I shot to the front of the tank and slammed my head against the glass. My face was on fire from the seething anger I was feeling.

"WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU ALIVE?" the words came out dead, not showing any emotions or hinting at them.

"I-I thought I was the only one. I thought everyone had died…." He was full-blown weeping, and I was having none of it. "I thought...I thought-"

"OI DEKU, ANSWER MY FUCKING QUESTION" I slammed my fist against the glass threatening to break it from the sheer force." . FUCK. .STILL. ALIVE?" he looked at me with a frightened expression, clearly seeing the animal-like expression I had on my face right now.

"Kaa-chan...I-" I was done. I sprung out of the tank and onto that fucker. I put his neck in a chokehold. "K-kaa-"

"WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T YOU HELP?" Why was he here and not her? He hit my back, trying to stop me. "Why the fuck did you not fight back?" I hissed he could have. As he slowly lost air, he also lost the strength to fight. "You were top class in combat training before I even arrived at that place. So why didn't you fight?" my grip around his neck tightened as the anger I had thought had simmered down came back in full force.

"MIDORIYA" I was yanked off that mother fucker and cast aside. I glared at the person who did that it was that half-and-half bastard and he was helping that greened haired fucker up.

"Kaach-" he looked at me with pity in his eyes.

"DON'T YOU DARE SAY MY NAME! YOU ABANDONED US! YOU ABANDONED HER! YOU ARE A MOTHER FUCKING COWARD."

"But...Mitsuki is-"

"SHE IS DEAD DEKU!" his eyes widened from sheer shock." I THOUGHT YOU HAD ALSO DIED! BUT YOU CHOSE TO-TO! Shit." tears were streaming down my eyes from the sheer overwhelming amount of emotions I was currently feeling.

"She is...fucking dead…"

And changing your species won't do anything.

Ah...I guess that was true.

"Katsuki…" I glanced at Kirishima's worried riddled face and clenched my hands. Footsteps made their way towards me. I looked up, it was Deku, and he had an outstretched hand. Ha.

"Things never change, do they?" I said quietly to nobody in particular.

"Kaachan..." I fired an explosion at him sending him flying.

"MIDORIYA!" that half bastard screamed. While everyone was preoccupied with that useless fucker, I made my way down to the lake I had seen earlier.

"Bakugou where are you going?!" I ignored the cry from MIna as I raced down the hill and flew into the lake.

It never mattered anyway.

Chapter 31, Red

Hey Katsuki.

Hey Katsuki~

Katsuki~

-Special.

"Stop!" I exclaimed covering my ears trying to drown out the horrible voice floating around my head. My eyes squeezed shut, my head was pounding. "I love you."

It hurts, it really hurts. "Katsuki please run"

"Katsuki please run"

"Katsuki please run"

"Katsuki please run"

"Katsuki please run"

"Katsuki please run"

"Katsuki please run."

"Katsuki, run."

Red. Red. Red. Disgusting. Why is it so red….why red. It is so red. I-I can't.

Kirishima? But-

"AGH!" A shriek tore past my throat.

Why did it hurt?

It hurts

"Katsuki."

It hurts so much why? Why was it hurting?

"Katuski." Please. I can't. Mum, Why didn't he help. He could've helped. Why was he here? Why was he alive? He was right there. He was strong mum complimented it. Why? WHY? WHY?!

Why was it hurting?

"Bakugou!" I was shaken out of my thoughts by two massive fists holding my shoulder and a certain fish shaking my thoughts out of me. I glanced up at his hair, still dazed.

"Red…" the words travelled down my lips before my vision slowly cleared up, and I could finally see who was in front of me.

...Eijiro

"Katsuki. Oh, thank goodness…. you're okay. You weren't responding and I didn't know what was happening" the red-headed fish started to mumble. I just stared at him completely, unmoving and unflinching. "Then the next thing I know you screamed, which freaked me out…." he rambled. This idiot….my idiot. I fell into his unexpecting arms. I felt his body tense from the sudden weight before he relaxed, wrapping his arms around me, pulling me in closer. I inhaled deeply, taking in his scent it calmed me down significantly and made me feel safe. "A-are you okay Katsuki….?"

I looked at him, my chin still placed on his chest. He had an awkward smile on his face clearly not knowing how to deal with what was happening. The bright light from the tower that was now dimming. Made his red hair glow and almost mythical shade of red.

The light completely faded from the sky and what was left was...

I stared awestruck at the millions of what the humans called stars littered across the sky. My breath hitched as my eyes lit up. Kirishima confused as to what I was looking at glance behind him to be met with the same magical view I was seeing. We both swam there, Eijiro arms wrapped around mine, starstruck at the scene we had been lucky to see. It was nothing like I had ever seen before, It was so beautiful. And Humans got to see this every night as we were stuck living in the Deep Reef with nothing but the jellyfish migration which we were told resemble this, though they were wrong. This was a completely different kind of beauty. The way the star shone in different sizes and twinkled for different lengths was nothing compared to the dull one colour of the seasonal jellyfish. They looked pretty, don't get me wrong and some of them are even nice, but this was something I was glad I didn't miss. I glanced up at Kirishima, his eyes glittered, and tears from him slowly floated upwards before mixing with the current. Right now-

"It feels like we are the only one in the world right now, doesn't it?" He stole the words right from my lips. It did feel exactly like that, and I nodded in response even though he probably couldn't see me. I felt his arms squeeze around me a bit tighter before I pulled his head down to me. We were inches apart, and I could feel the small currents he made from his breathing tickle my lips. My eyes connected with his red ones reflecting mine. My determined yet stern expression contrasting his bewildered and confused one. His eyes, much more beautiful than the stars scanned mine before he leaned into me.Our lips touched, causing butterfish to swim around my stomach. I felt tingles prick my body, my heart thumps increased as our kiss deepened. We moved together our lips dancing in sync, this kiss was not one of lust like the one we had before, it was one of happiness, longing and contentment….one full of love, as crawny as it might sound. It was the kiss I was needing, it was a feeling I had wanted to get from something from someone. I pushed away from the emotional kiss, resting my head on his shoulder, softly breathing him in. It was something I got from a fish from a certain him

I guess if it is him, it's okay.

"Katsuki are you okay?"

I looked up at him with hope in my eyes, my inner thoughts screaming at me not to do this.

He is going to hate you after all her death was your fault.

As I said before, I don't care if he hates me-

Yeah, you did….but do you really feel the same now?

Are you sure you can really leave him? Haven't you become too dependent on them? On him?

I know I can handle-

Are you sure? You know you wouldn't be able to live losing someone else important to you.

This time it would be different cause I-

You what? This is why I told you not to get so close to them?

That is why I told you not to fall in love. But-

You did.

I bit against my lip, my thoughts gnawing at my voice. Even so…

Why are you so bent on telling him

Why?

Why do I want to tell him he doesn't have to know-

The way I feel for him.

Why did I have to fall in love with the most amazing fish in the entire sea, no world? Why did he have to be so kind, why did he have to love me so much? Why couldn't he just be a prick like the rest, why did he have to be so genuine, why did he have to show me what love was. Why did I want to trust him so much? Why did I trust him so much?

Why the hell do I love him so damn much?

Tears poured out of my eyes as sniffles escaped my throat. Kirishima didn't say anything as he started to rub my back, rocking us side to side swaying with the current. He hummed a song I hadn't heard before. Still, it was so pretty and calming soon enough my sniffles died down, and I pulled him and myself onto the sandy floor, and as soon as we were seated, he dragged me into his arms again. Getting no protest from me, I huddled closer into his chest and sighed. We sat there quietly listening to the plethora of new sounds that surrounded us.

Maybe you were the point of my whole journey, after all.

It's like you were the entire point of my joureny
