I'm Back! I like to take my time before releasing a story. Making sure it is ready for all of you to read. Same format as "Lost In a Love Entanglement" There'll be sexual content warnings for those who want to stick to the narrative, and they'll be song indicators once more. If you see it, maybe give it a listen to feel the vibe of a scene where a song appears. Music is a huge deal in stories I write, so I love including those.
This story is the prequel to Lost In A Love Entanglement, and it's a serious deep dive into Brick and Blossom's relationship that was established in the previous installment. It will also lay the foundation later on for Brick's relationship with Bubbles before we dive into the sequel. Enjoy.

Segment 1 - Your Eyes Are So Pink
The Powerpuff Girls and The Rowdyruff Boys. Counterparts. When they were younger, all they did was fight, but as they aged, and the girls found themselves fighting less and less crime, their time as crimefighters was coming to an end and the ruffs didn't seem like the boys who loved to fight anymore….
The girls were enroute to face off with the Ruffs. "Do you hear music?" Buttercup asked Blossom who nodded "Are they seriously playing The Boys Are Back In Town?" she questioned "They have been gone awhile. Kinda sorta checks out." Bubbles chimed earning a look from her sisters "What? It does!" Bubbles spoke.
In a nearby park, the boys were rearing for a fight. "That portable speaker you stole, quality steal Butch!" Boomer started "Good song choice by the way." He continued and Butch raised up the speaker "GOTTA LET EM KNOW WE BACK!" He said "Right on time." Butch pointed out as the pink, blue and green streak symbolizing the girls was impossible to miss in the sky.
Brick stood up and joined his brothers. "Today we end this gender warfare boys. And We let em know, The Ruffs will always be better than the Puffs." Brick spoke as the Powerpuff Girls landed in front of them. "How we doing this Brick?" Butch asked and Brick looked at him. "Matching." He responded and Butch cracked his knuckles "Just the way I like it." He said as Brick held out his arms and said "Boys! GO GET EM!"
The clash ensued, But the Boys weren't fighting the way they used to, They haven't had fought the Girls in a while, and were honestly tired of it. They were confused as to why Brick wanted to end the feud today, but they were ready to stand by their brother. Buttercup knocked Butch into a car, and Bubbles threw Boomer through a nearby window. The girls may have been on the back end of their crimefighting career, but they just wanted to finish, and get to live life as normal as they could.
Butch and Boomer got back up and wound up getting whooped again. Brick however, was having a more strategic fight with Blossom, not rushing in. "Why come back to town now and pick a fight huh?" Blossom questioned as Brick shrugged. "Maybe I just wanted to see you Red." Brick spoke and Blossom confused broke the stalemate and rushed in only to be grabbed by Brick.
"You know what I never noticed? Your eyes…Your eyes are so pink." Brick spoke and Blossom felt herself flush before she punched Brick so hard he wound up losing grip of Blossom, and going flying through a nearby building "OH SHIT!" Butch said as he ran to his brother. He then looked and saw Boomer talking to Bubbles
"Yeah, he's supposed to wave the white flag any second." Boomer said and Bubbles nodded "WHY ARE YOU TALKING TO HER YOU STUPID IDIOT?! WHAT THE FUCK!?" Butch said he was met by a hit from Buttercup and a swift kick from Blossom, knocking the green ruff head first into the side of a building. Butch held his head and groaned as he writhed on the ground."COME ON! YOU WANT SOME TOO!?" Buttercup spoke looking at Boomer, Blossom squaring up in front of him. Boomer threw his hands up and pointed at Brick who indeed had pulled a white flag out of his pocket.
"What the hell is this?" Blossom asked "Well Red…We heard you and the girls are wrapping up the crimefighting thing. Truth be told we hung it up when we left town and got the lakehouse." Brick spoke and Blossom looked "HE'S LYING!" Buttercup spoke and she went to swing at Brick, but Blossom held her back "Let's hear him out." She spoke
"Guess we wanted one last hurrah against our counterparts before they hung it up too." Brick said as Butch got up "Nobody told me this was a fake, I deadass thought I was fighting Buttercup, Imma fight Buttercup, come get some!" Butch spoke and Buttercup punched him, flooring him. "Butch really wanted the last hurrah." Brick spoke as Blossom retained her gaze on Brick. She noticed, his eyes were colorful. Like hers. She shook the thought from her head
"What'd you say?" Blossom asked "A peace offering. The boys and I are having some drinks tonight, we want y'all to come." Brick spoke and Butch got up "No the hell we don't!" He said and Brick smacked him. "Lakehouse is just outside of town, you should come." Brick said and he looked at Boomer, who still had his arms up.
"Put your arms down fool." He spoke and he looked at Blossom. "Mean't what I said Red…about your eyes." Brick spoke as he and the boys flew off. "What did he say about your eyes?" Bubbles asked "That they're pink." Blossom responded. "What was he trying to compliment you? Dude has zero game!" Buttercup said and Blossom looked at her "Everyone and their mother knows you have pink eyes, like come on, who's he trying to fool?" Buttercup justified as the sisters prepared to fly off. "Are we going to their house?" Bubbles asked "I don't know. Maybe…" Blossom answered as the girls flew off.
Segment 2 - Just A Kiss
The girls arrived at the ruffs home "Smells like weed to be honest." Buttercup spoke and Blossom shrugged "Wouldn't put it past them, we smoke." she spoke and Buttercup nodded "Good point." She said as Blossom knocked on the door. "I hope you guys don't all end up smoking tonight, it's hard enough dealing with you two." Bubbles spoke
"Shut up Bubbles" Buttercup spoke as the door opened. "Come on in girls." Brick spoke letting the girls in. "Man I'm trying to get drunk tonight, what do you got?" Buttercup spoke and Brick screamed out "BUTCH!" and his brother looked up "Give Buttercup something strong!" Brick instructed "I got a lot of strong drinks, what you want?" Butch looked at his counterpart. "Something sharp in taste!" Buttercup spoke "What?" Butch spoke "Like I want it to hit my throat, and burn!" Buttercup spoke "Brick. She wants a vodka mixer." Butch turned to his brother before turning around and pulling out a bottle of vodka, pouring in a rather large shot, and then grabbing strawberry lemonade and pouring it in, before dropping a tad of pineapple juice.
"Try this." Butch spoke handing her the drink. "How about you Red?" Brick said slowly wrapping his arm around Blossom, who looked at the gesture done by her counterpart. She found herself flushing again "What?" She asked "What do you want to drink?" Brick asked "Something sweet. Like really sweet." Blossom responded "The sweeter the better." Brick said and Butch nodded as he pulled out a bottle of flavored rum "This is the good stuff." He said pouring a large shot, before mixing it with juice, pouring in some pineapple juice, and lastly dropping a tad of mango rum in it.
"Sweet enough for you?" Butch asked handing it to Blossom who tried the drink "Oh definitely." she answered "Yeah, Brick used to have me mix that for Princess when they were fucking."Butch spoke and Blossom nearly spit out the drink as Brick looked at Butch "Brick and Princess, man those were the days, she'd come, the two would get hammered and they'd fuck. Sounded like a hardcore porn film in his room." Butch said and Blossom looked at Brick "Past tense, You and Princess…." She asked "Broken up." Brick explained "For the better too, she was a BITCH!" Butch spoke and Brick led Blossom away from his brother. He led her to sit "Gosh how am I already feeling this drink?" Blossom wondered as Brick took the drink from her and took a sip "He made this one really strong." Brick explained. "But look at it like this Bloss, We're just getting started!" Brick said as he handed Blossom her drink back, and downed his.
Several drinks later, Blossom felt really drunk and she knew if she sat up she'd probably throw up, or pass out. "Red!? RED You good?" Brick walked over to check on Blossom "She's done." Buttercup looked at her sister. "BUTCH!" Blossom called, completely ignoring Buttercup and Brick "YO!" He called "GIMME ANOTHER!" Blossom yelled and Butch quickly whipped up another drink, and Blossom downed it in one gulp.
"Jesus…" Brick spoke as Blossom held her glass up for another and Brick quickly took it from her. Blossom, in response screamed loudly. Brick gave in to the screaming redhead and handed the glass back as Butch filled it once more. Blossom once again downed the drink. "She flies dangerously when drunk." Bubbles spoke and Brick looked at Blossom who had thankfully put the glass down "I'm done for the night." She said
"She can spend the night here." Brick suggested "NO. There are limits." Buttercup seethed and Brick looked at the angry green puff. "Do you want your sister to fly dangerously and get hurt?" Brick argued "Tell you what, you come back here, at 10 AM sharp, and if any harm comes to Red, you can arrest me and bury me under the jail." Brick spoke and he handed Buttercup his hat. "Why are you giving me your hat?" she asked "He never goes anywhere without it." Butch chimed "Fair deal." Buttercup said as she and Bubbles backed out.
"Now what?" Boomer asked looking at Brick "I'm gonna take her to bed, you guys clean up." Brick spoke as he helped Blossom up. "Where you gon sleep?" Butch asked. "Couch is right there." Brick pointed out as he led Blossom into his room. "You're sleeping here tonight." Brick said as he closed the door. "Your room's nice." Blossom slurred.
"Here." Brick spoke leading her to sit. He handed her a glass of water. "Never thought you could be so nice." Blossom slurred again as she drank some of the water. Brick pulled over a garbage can. "Just in case." He spoke and Blossom laughed. "I've never thrown up while…" She was cut off by vomit coming from her mouth and into the can. "THERE IT IS!" Butch and Boomer burst into the room to catch Blossom vomiting. "THERE IT IS!" Butch laughed as he and Boomer watched Blossom vomit. Blossom slowly sat up and Brick steadied her, gently stroking her back. Blossom felt more coming and her whole body jolted as she threw up once more, this time however, some landed on Brick's sneakers. "MY JORDANS!" He cried looking at the ruined white sneakers. Butch and Boomer laughed at the sight. "GET OUT!" Brick screamed and the brothers ran off and upstairs.
"I'm sorry…" Blossom spoke as she wiped her mouth with a paper towel that Brick handed her. "It's fine. I'll clean 'em tomorrow." Brick spoke taking the sneakers out of the room. "How about you get some sleep?" Brick spoke and Blossom nodded getting under the covers. "Stay with me?" She asked and Brick felt himself blush a tad. "I don't think that's the best idea." Brick suggested and Blossom pouted at him.
"Well when you look at me like that it's hard to say no Red." Brick spoke and he closed the door. As he got in bed he used his extra pillows to set up a bit of a wall, to respect Blossom's personal space. "Good night." Brick said "Good night." Blossom responded. Brick had started to doze off but he noticed that Blossom had inched closer, and had broken the pillow wall. Brick and Blossom locked eyes in the lowly lit room.
"What was that you said about my eyes?" Blossom asked "Your eyes are so pink…." Brick started but was cut off "Everyone knows my eyes are pink." Blossom spoke and Brick hushed her "I wasn't finished. They bring out your smile. And Bloss? You have a beautiful smile." Brick spoke and Blossom smiled before leaning in and kissing Brick. Despite being drunk, Blossom had managed to land a soft and gentle kiss. After breaking it she cuddled against Brick for a moment. "Blossom…." Brick started and Blossom rolled over "It was just a kiss Brick. Don't read too deep into it." She spoke as she wrapped up in the covers to go to sleep, leaving Brick in his feelings after the kiss.
Well that was quite a bit, considering the length of this story sometimes segments will be put together. I really wanted to go in depth with Blossom and Brick's relationship that was already established in "Lost In A Love Entanglement" before we dove into the sequel and this prequel is gonna give a very clear picture of the two's situation, and we'll also learn the true reason Blossom couldn't commit. This is gonna get emotional, it'll have it's laughs, it's sad points, and be an emotional roller coaster.
