So, after a lot of planning of Tomorrow Starts Today, I realised I wasn't as inspired by the story as I was to begin with. I wasn't inspired to write for a lot of the characters, not because they weren't great characters, but I just wasn't completely buying the club dynamics. So I decided to reboot the story, with a new title and a lot of new characters.

Characters who are definitely going to appear:

Sebastian Smythe is a 26 year old History teacher at McKinley. Sebastian has spent his entire college career trying to improve as a person, considering all of the horrible things he did as a teenager. He recently moved to Lima, with his boyfriend and their dog, and has just started teaching at McKinley. While he's tried to become a better person, he does occasionally slip back into old habits, especially when it involves competition. He's portrayed by Grant Gustin, who is also his sing-a-like.

Evelyn Murphy is the 31 year old Cheerios coach at McKinley. Many people expect her to be a hard-ass, like Sue Sylvester, but Evelyn couldn't be sweeter. She's tough on the Cheerios, but only to motivate them to do better. When she and Sebastian meet, she becomes good friends with him and becomes a huge advocate for the Glee Club, much like Emma Pillsbury in the original show. She's portrayed by Katie Cassidy.

Matthew Lance is the 27 year old coach of the McKinley Titans and a PE teacher at McKinley. He and Sebastian don't start off on the best of terms, but as the story progresses, his reasoning for disliking Sebastian becomes clearer and clearer. He's portrayed by Lincoln Younes.

Lynda Abernathy is the 45 year old Principal of McKinley and the mother of a student at McKinley, who joins the Glee Club. She's kind and caring, and always follows her heart, despite what people think. She tries to be supportive of Sebastian's idea of restarting the Glee Club, but mainly does it for her son. She's portrayed by Marissa Tomei.

Rita Marks is the 54 year old Mathematics teacher and the director of the Scholastic Decathlon team at McKinley. She was around at McKinley when Will Schuester ran the New Directions, and detested it then, but was less vocal about it than Sue was. Now that Sebastian's at the helm, she hates it even more. She thinks the budget should be used on the Decathlon team rather than the Arts. She's portrayed by Angela Bassett.

Aaron Mitchell is Sebastian's 25 year old boyfriend. He's a mechanic, who works at Burt Hummel's shop. He tries to be supportive of Sebastian's decision to restart the Glee Club, but as a former student of McKinley, he knows how difficult things were for the New Directions. He also doesn't like how time consuming it is for their relationship. He's portrayed by Colton Haynes.

Jason Abernathy is a 15 year old Sophomore at McKinley, and son of Principal Abernathy. He's incredibly smart, having joined the Scholastic Decathlon team in his freshman year. He's an incredibly skilled dancer and wants to pursue a career in dance, much to the chagrin of his parents. He's portrayed by Tom Holland, who's also his sing-a-like.

Rules for submissions:

Every submission must be made through PM. Any left in the reviews will be ignored, no matter how good they are. Everyone can submit as many characters as they want. It is not a first come first serve type of thing, only the best will be selected. I'm also trying to avoid creating too many prominent characters on my own. I'd rather have the prominent characters submitted.

Characters who are in another SYOC won't be accepted. If I do accept one who's submitted in another, they'll be written out of the story(harsh, but I don't want every story to have the same characters).

Please don't use a sing-a-like who's previously appeared in Glee, so that means no Demi Lovato, Adam Lambert, Skylar Astin etc…

No one is perfect. Give them flaws. Not every Cheerio is a bitch and not every gay guy is flamboyant. Make the characters diverse and interesting. Give them a bit of depth. I do want some LGBT characters and maybe a character or two with a disability(like Artie in the show). There are also specific types of characters/stories I'm hoping for, but if I don't get them it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Don't give all characters a depressing backstory or storylines, but I would like some grittier storylines too. I have a character I'm planning on using who's got a storyline that wouldn't necessarily have been tackled on Glee. The best way to put it is if Degrassi or one of those High School shows could tackle it, then I'll do my best to do the same.

If the character 15-16, don't choose a 30 year old to be their lookalike. Make it realistic and believable. The characters need to be based on the Lookalikes current appearance i.e. not Zac Efron circa HSM or Lindsay Lohan circa Mean Girls. It'd be really awkward if the students looked or were played by someone older than the teacher(Grant Gustin is 30). Look-a-likes are required for the Tumblr dedicated to this, which will also feature gifs, as well as a mycast story, so try to pick a F/C that has a relatively decent amount of gifs(I know that a certain character I've submitted had to have their F/C changed as there weren't enough Gifs for them).

Even though I'm asking for songs to be submitted, this isn't the only songs that are going to be done, as some of the songs may not be relevant to the story and I may think of one that they could sing(so they might get a lot more solos/duets). Try to avoid This Is Me from the Greatest Showman, as this will be done at Sectionals. Some songs, while they may exist in reality, may be used as Original Songs in the story. For example, if Shawn Mendes is chosen as a look-a-like/ sing-a-like, then his songs may be used as original songs.
