So, I had a really weird idea: I will think of songs and write an Ishihime bit based on my feelings of the song. Some will be longer (like this one), but some will be really short!

I am open to your song suggestions in the comments (preferably in a language that I can understand: Greek (duh), English, Spanish or Italian would be good, so I can get a hang of the lyrics!). I will write up when I have spare time, so you may experience some delays.

Also, the fic may or might not contain the song. In this first one for example, I saw the video-clip and thought that the singer did look like Uryuu, so I whipped up this story.

The song is called "Beautiful ones" and it's performed by Suede (look it up, it's a great song!).

All characters belong to Tite Kubo.

Also, a reminder: What's written on italics, is written as a thought of the character.

I hope you enjoy this one! Much love to all of you, stay safe and sane!

How in the world did I end up like this? ...

But let's get this from the start.

It's another Monday morning, same as usual. Class is about to start and everyone is in their designated seats, when the door flies open and the music professor barges in, scaring the still-half-asleep students. He points to the only student who didn't turn his way and mumbles, out of breath:

"I need…Ishida, please. Can you allow him out of the class?"

A murmur was spread around the class and said student turned, fixing his glasses.

"If it is about the music show budget sir, I'm afraid you will have to talk to the student treasurer. As the student council president, I have no jurisdiction to…"

"Shut up, Ishida. I need you for another matter. Now, can he be excused from class?"

The class professor nodded in agreement and Ishida packed his bag and followed the music professor, now really curious. They arrived in the music class, where a bunch of other students were waiting. Most of them were tuning up their instruments or reading lyrics. Ishida looked around and spotted Rukia and Tatsuki, smirking at him.

God, don't tell me that…

"Sooo, Ishida! You know how we're putting together a rock performance to gather money for the school, right?" asked the music professor, patting Ishida's back a bit too hard. He winced.

"I know, but I fail to see what it has to do with me?"

"Well, a little bird told me…" –at this point, Rukia and Tatsuki made a high-five- "that you actually have a good voice, so I will need you to sing one of the songs of the set. Bonus is that you look just like the singer, too."

"WHAT?!" Ishida turned paler than usual. "I can't do that!"

"At least let me hear you and I will be the judge of that." He tried to protest, when Tatsuki chimed in.

"You know, it's my best friend's favorite song and she'd love the surprise…". Tatsuki's best friend was, of course, the beautiful Orihime Inoue, the one with whom Ishida was madly in love-and she had no idea-. Of course, he'd do anything for her, but this?

"Alright, I'll give it a try. What is the song?"

"Yes! Everyone, get to your posts. We're playing "Beautiful ones" by Suede. Do you know it, Ishida?"

Ishida almost choked. He loves that song. One of his best-kept secrets is that he's a rock fan. He has a pickup and a stash of vinyls, and one of them is Suede's. He had Orihime listen to it once…

Her favorite? It can't be…

The music professor beckoned him towards the microphone and he cradled it, as the rest of the band started playing. He closed his eyes and thought of Orihime as he sang. When the song was over, he opened his eyes, only to realize that everyone in the room looked starstruck.

"Damn, Ishida! Why aren't you in our band? That was FANTASTIC! And you almost don't need to change, you really look like the singer! Well, I'm not letting you off the hook now, you're part of the show!"

Ishida hated that extra attention, but the only thing he could think was how this was her favorite song, so he just had to agree to it. But they had to promise she wouldn't know about it. And they did.

Fast forward to a couple of months later, and it's show time already. The students have done lots of rehearsals and they are all ready for it. Ishida is in the dressing room. He does look like a rock star: he's wearing a black shirt, its two top buttons unfastened, a tight pair of black jeans, and a black pair of trainers. They even gave him the same hoop earring (fake of course, he wouldn't get pierced just yet). Now Rukia is messing with his hair, tucking one side behind his ear, giving him a nonchalant air. She took off his glasses as well. Good thing he can use contact lenses, otherwise he would be blind.

Tatsuki sizes him up. She smiles widely, approving of his style.

"You look hot, you know? Orihime would love that style."

"Arisawa-san, you know she doesn't like me, but Kurosaki."

"Ah, so gorgeous, yet so stupid. That's old news, buddy! She let him go a long time ago, you idiot! If you showed her how you feel, you'd be surprised. She always goes "Ishida-kun" this and "Ishida-kun" that…"

He blushed more than he thought that humans could blush.

His song is the last of the set. He slowly walks up to the microphone, and he starts singing as he hears a collective gasp from his classmates offstage. As he goes on, he spots her in the crowd, her already huge eyes opened wide, staring only at him. He stares back at her while he's singing the last part:

Oh, here they come, the beautiful ones, the beautiful ones…

You don't think about it,

You don't do without it,

Because you're beautiful…

And if your baby's going crazy,

That's how you made me…

Orihime looks back at him in shock.

She has been enjoying his company more than she should, but lately he's the only thought in her head. And this song, she loved it because of him. And now, he's up there, singing it with such fire in his eyes and such passion in his voice, that she gets goosebumps. Was he always so full of emotion?

Afterwards, she's waiting for her turn to greet him. He sees her and heads to her shyly.

"Ishida-kun, that was amazing! You have such a great voice!"

"Th-thank you, Inoue-san…" Ah, there it is. He's being his wonderful, nerdy self again-but earlier, he was on fire. That was beautiful, too.

"Do you think you could sing to me sometime? I had never heard you until now!"

He blushed furiously. "I will, Inoue-san. Anytime."

"Also, this look is really becoming, Ishida-kun! I like that earring!"

Ishida smirked just a little bit at her remark. Note to self: find a good piercing studio tomorrow.
