Today was my eleventh birthday I was so excited my mum was getting everything organised he was baking a cake with a sun over the ocean. "Mum it looks so good." I said mum looked and smiled at me and pointed towards the lounge room. Trying to get me out of the kitchen there fire out of his way of baking my cake!

"Your dad is coming." He told me I looked at my mother to see if he was lying to me. No fracking way! Dad was coming the best piece of news any child could have. Mum would not joke about seo thing like nor would he lie about this.

"Is he really?" I asked I haven't seen my dad for awhile I really missed him I have a photo of just the two of us at a soccer game I've been playing since forever. Dad got me into it I remember him telling me I was a natural at it and mum laughed and said I was not playing. He comes to all my games cheering the loudest some of my teammates told me how embarrassing it is but tell them it's not it would be worse if he did not do at all.

"Mummy is this all for me?" Asked my four year old sister Aurora Belle Jackson. The Roman child of the Jackson household not that either Apollo or Percy would tell them they are both a Greek and Roman children of the sun god Apollo.

"It's Kai's birthday not yours Aurora." Mum said to her I do love my sister but she gets annoying after a while, the door opened and closed. Making everyone with baited breath to see or hear who it was I was hoping it was my father Apollo, wow his parents and grandparents and great grandparents and other relatives must have loved Greek mythology.

"Honey I'm back." A voice said at the door, a very familiar voice one that we have not heard in sometime I knew who it was by the voice so did mum. It was dad! He was back! My mum did not lie to me! Yes!

"I'm in the kitchen." Mum said as the figure came into view I knew who it was the smile he gave me and my sister the love in his eyes to my mum. It was put father Apollo Jackson that what he tells people but I knew he was lying with that.

"Dad." I said as I ran and hugged home hugged me backs and kissed me forehead. "I've missed you dad." I said to him as he held me close to him I did miss him I never knew why he left. I just hope he missed us as much as we missed him.

"I've missed you too buddy, happy birthday Kai." He told me I was glad my mum wasn't lying to me about my father being here. I don't know where he goes all me and Aurora have been told that he has to travel to work like a lot so he won't be around as much as we want him to.

"Daddy." Aurora said and ran up to him my let go of me and picked my sister up and wrapped his arm around me. Mum looks at us smiling. A picture perfect moment if mum had gotten the camera out, but he won't there is enough family photos.

"They missed you Apollo." Mum said to dad after my mum said that dad let me and my sister go and went to my mum and they kissed each other I grabbed my little sister's hand and went to another room. Because no one wants to see their parents making out because gross old people should not be doing that!

"Come on Aurora we don't need to see this." I told her she started to cry and I'm going to get blamed yet again when ever my sister cries and I get blamed for it by everyone and I'm so sick of it. It's like my side of things don't matter to anyone it's all about her!

"What happened?" Mum asked me with hands on his hips with dad looking concern for my sister who picks her up immediately. No surprise there, don't get me wrong I love my sister but she is just too much to handle sometimes. For me it is a lot Aurora was manipulative I personally blame Octavian he is here to see her slot supervised my mother does not trust the man not that I blame him.

"Nothing I was going to take her into the lounge because you and dad were going to make out." I told him luckily dad was there whispering about something to mum. Too quite for me to eavesdrop on them yes I know I shouldn't be eavesdropping on my parents but they're my parents their not meant to have secrets.

"What about the other time you have in trouble for making her cry?" Mum asked and I groaned out loud making everyone hear me. They all looked at me I was getting frustrated with this it happens all the time! Why can not the y see her for what she is?

"I never did any of what she said." I told them and that's when she stopped crying and giving me the evil eye. 'Please see let them know the truth that I would never hurt my sister she is jus an attention seeking brat' I said mentally or prayed one of them.

"I think Aurora owes her brother an apology." Dad said which shocked me and mum, then they did the suspecting thing again. Ha! Take that Aurora you got caught out haha best day ever! First dad comes home then this can this day get any better?

I guess it can never did i think my life could get better than it was oh boy was I wrong about that. Never did I realise that today of all days were going to change for me.
