I might FULLY replace the 2nd CHAPTER chapter with a fresh one in the future. While reading, remember that I'LL replace it with a MUCH BETTER CHAPTER (like I edited the "1st Part" of this chapter)
I might do a BIT of editing on other chapters as well. Cuz, I want to edit EVERYTHING CLEAN from the beginning.
I'll be back by LATE JUNE OR JULY. I'm on a HIATUS right NOW.
You make me wanna call you in the middle of the night (call you)
You make me wanna hold you 'til the morning light (morning light)
You make me wanna love, you make me wanna fall
You make me wanna surrender my soul..

Chapter 1
Fragrance Of Rain
Too late? Maybe.
Thunderclaps lashed down the thirsty turfs, leaving the empyreans to shatter asunder in cloudbursts. The distant vroom of a heavy truck steering down the winding, slippery roads thinned out amid the fog. Past the gales of late June, deciduous leaves fell upon the headstone, limp. Wet etches, engraved on its surface, on dark, bold letters were "Mavis Vermillion." Buried behind a looming cedar tree, her soul rested beyond an eternal serenity. Sorano had asked him why he chose white. He didn't tell her why for once she heard "Fairy Heart," she had known the answer.
Across a nature trail lined with wooden palings, Jellal sauntered as he took in the ambiance. White is purity and innocence. So many questions Sorano is yet to ask. So many he had no words to answer. Evergreens lurched along the billowing currents. Soaring, veering about their drifting course, now, there goes his umbrella too. Jellal's talks with her had been laconic. But it's not like he could help it. His mind had a mind of its own.
How many hours had he drained way out in the wilderness? Two? Three..? No longer he bothered. The leather of his boots brushed against the wildflowers enriching her pacific, gilded slumber. Never once had he inhaled an incense so intoxicating. He must've been in a haze because, out of the blue, the swirling murk cast aside an opalescence. Lumen Histoire? Hadn't it been dormant, so why? His straight unkempt hair clung onto his forehead from the rain, bucketing down his cloak coat. On the side of the dampened stone, glistering an aureate tinge revealed the emblem of her guild.
In the next flash of blinding light, pairs of tiny legs and hands materialized out of thin air, then an oversized gown, and at last, long golden curls levitating like that of a Rapunzel's. Stunned to move a toe, Jellal could only gape and gape and gape muted.
"Who are you?" At such a question, innocently or not, that fairy-like figure tittered.
"It's sad you don't know me. I won't bite."
"Oh! Mavis Vermillion. How come did you—I mean, why did you appear like this? It's your birthday, but last year—" Jellal blinked when Mavis cut him off, holding her arms or rather something inside her arms up in the air.
"I've got something to give you."
After getting her job done, she left in no time. It's not a secret that the ride from Era to Magnolia will tire you out. A black Lacrima Car afforded by the Magic Council had been outside the walls for the past twenty minutes. To place a bouquet of white roses on her grave on behalf of the Magic Council had been the purpose of Jellal's visit. He—who'd never expected the unexpected—left with something that didn't belong to him, something not intended for him.
Every so often, twigs would brush against the glass windows of his car.
Why the hell did they build a cemetery on the mountain? He would think rather coldly.
The travel to Dragneel mansion was peaceful for Jellal except for the occasional headaches caused by the twists and turns of the Magnolia mountain pass. But only until his phone rung.
"Silk. Silk. Silk." His phone beeped.
Sliding his thumb on the screen, he pressed it to his ears, expecting that familiar voice. By the time, blue hues had blended into the dawn sky.
"Err... Je-Jellal." It was his assistant Sorano.
"Are you okay?" He asked, sensing the tension and dread in her voice.
"Oh. Yes..." There was a small pause.
"But the manor is in danger. If you fail to reach here on time, there will be nothing left." Loud banging sounds of things clashing with things hit his eardrums. Some screams, probably maid Kinana's, also came out of the speaker.
"What?"
"Your brother is burning this place."
Before he could ask any more questions, the caller hung up abruptly.
