Hello, fellow Fanimaniacs! As promised, here is the Pinky x OC fic. A special thanks to Nicole Jones1, who asked me if I could write a Pinky x OC fic, and to LakkoWarner1, who gave me the prompt idea. I hope they enjoy, and I hope you do, too!

Chapter One: The Loneliest Mouse

Daisy ran on her wheel, watching the scientists pack up their belongings. One of the women walked over to her cage.

"See you tomorrow, friend," she said with a wink.

Daisy had always liked this particular worker, who actually didn't treat her like she was nothing. She seemed to understand how Daisy felt and even spoke to her from time to time, sometimes leaving her fresh fruits and veggies. Daisy liked it when she stopped by, but right now the little mouse hoped she would leave soon so that she could escape her cage.

To her relief, the redheaded lady stepped away, turned off the lights, and left, shutting the door behind her. A moment later Daisy heard the lock click.

Now the work begins, she thought to herself. She jumped off her wheel, but overbalanced and fell head over heels. In the distance she heard laughter and jeers, probably from that group of rats.

Oh, well. They never missed a chance to torment her, but the lonesome mouse had gotten used to it. She had lived in Acme Labs for as long as she could remember, and those rats had been here before her. And it wasn't just the rats, lots of specimens in the lab took great pleasure in abusing her.

Sometimes, it felt like she was the loneliest animal in Acme Labs.

Daisy stood up, brushing her glossy golden fur out of her emerald eyes. No matter. Who cared what a bunch of losers thought anyway.

She walked over to the door, reached her hand through the bars of her cage, and popped open the lock from the outside. From there it was a simple matter of pushing the door open and walking out. She scurried across the table to the electric cord, then slid down to the floor and searched with her eyes until she found what she was looking for:

A newspaper clipping.

Some of the more careless humans just dropped them on the floor and left them there until the janitor picked it up or Daisy found it. Quickly, she picked up the clipping with her teeth and ran back to the cord with the newspaper held firmly in her mouth.

When she got back into her cage and shut the door, the first thing she did was take a long drink of water. Then she stretched out on the floor of her cage with a food pellet and her newspaper clipping. This was a ritual of hers, something that never changed, and it was comforting.

The mouse knew about as much as the average 13-year-old human child, and so was always glad for the chance to exercise her mind. She was rather shy and bookish, partially due to her abuse.

Daisy was a cute mouse with her long golden fur and bright green eyes that glittered like emeralds, not to mention the daisy that was always tucked behind her ear, but she also had many scars, most noticeably the one across her eye. It wasn't unusual to see a red mark or a bruise on her body.

Oh, how she hated those scars and marks. She thought that they were ugly, and the worst part was, she couldn't do anything to stop it, not with a cage so close to the rats.

Well, speak of the devil. Or in this case, devils.

"Well, well, well, what have we got here?" said an unpleasant voice.

Daisy turned, her heart hammering.

There was the biggest rat, the one with the bandanna, and his cronies. Right inside her cage.

"What do you fellas say we have a little fun with our friend here?" smirked the rat with the hook, stepping forward. Daisy cringed at the way he said friend. She could tell he didn't mean it in a friendly way, and she trembled and pressed her back against the wall as the gang closed in. The terrified young rodent let out a shriek as their leader lifted her up and out of her cage.

"Stop it! Let me go! Please!" she begged.

The group just laughed.

"Stop it! Let me go! Please!" mimicked one of them. "Oh, are you gonna cry? Boo-hoo."

"Sure, kid, I'll put you down," said the one with the bandanna, throwing her roughly to the ground. Daisy grunted in pain as she struck the hard metal table.

The rats surrounded her once again and then began punching and kicking her.

Daisy cried out over and over again, but they were merciless. Suddenly a voice called out.

"Leave her alone!" an adorable lanky white mouse with blue eyes cried.

He had a cockney accent, which made him even cuter in Daisy's opinion. She wished he hadn't called out, though, now they were likely to turn on him. To her shock, however, they only guffawed.

"Yeah? And why should we?" one of them yelled back, laughing.

"Because it's mean!" the white mouse insisted, placing his hands on his hips.

The rats just laughed and turned back to Daisy, who had curled into a ball to protect herself.

To Daisy's dismay, the mouse turned and walked away. Hot tears flowed down her cheeks and she squeezed her eyes shut, the rats' laughter ringing in her ears. She prayed this would end soon.

Oh noes... what will Daisy do? And who is this white mouse?

Yeah, I think we all know who that is XD

Chapter 2 will be out before the New Year! Happy Holidays and stay safe!
