Eric's Brother Plus One

Chapter One

It's yet another Friday night and I'm on my way home after the late shift, in my little home town of Bon Temps, I fix my hair and make-up before jumping into my car to rush off and see my guy. It's been nearly a week since Eric and I have had some time together and I have to say I'm missing my big bad vampire Viking very much.
It's still hard to believe, I'm dating the Vampire Sheriff of Area 5. Not only dating but blood bonded.

My life has taken quite a turn in the last two years since the Great Revelation. Boyfriend is a vampire. Best friend, vampire and boyfriends second in command, Boss, shifter. That's just the start of the mixed bag of supernaturals in my life. It's probably best to check with Pam before continuing any further, I'd normally call before even getting in the car but as I said I'm missing Eric at the moment, I'm missing specific parts of Eric at the moment, if I'm being honest. As diligent as always Pam picks up after two rings.

"What can I do for my favourite little mind reader this evening?"

"Just checking to make sure Eric's still expecting me."

"The Master has been licking his lips all night awaiting your arrival."

"So, that's a yes then Pam."

"Oh, it more than a yes, my little mind reader."

"I'll see you soon then."

"I'll tell my Master his meal is on the way."

She hangs up before I can comment, I loved her wit. It's only twenty minutes and I'm pulling into Fangtasia car park, a little excited. I've come to love the sensations I feel when getting close to Eric, lust, heat, desire, power. Its a comfort and something I'd hate to be without. I take a few minutes to check my makeup one final time and calm my nerves before heading in. Fangtasia is the only vampire bar in Shreveport and to top things off, Eric's the owner. What can I say, I went for gold and got myself a hot, rich, vampire. Not bad for a days work. Pam is at the front door in her "my bite is way worse than my bark" outfit, I loved this vampire.

"How are the vermin tonight?"

"Boring as per usual. I may have to start a little fire just to have some fun."

"Eric in his office?"

"Oh no, he's in his booth with a special visitor."

"Who? Friend or Foe"

"I'll let him introduce you; it should be fun to see your face."

"Pam, who is it? You know I hate surprises and there's the matter of me knowing where your shoe collection is."

"Sookie never threaten a ladies loves. Just go on in and enjoy the view."

Like I said, loved her wit. I stroll into the club, to be hit with a wave of power I've never felt before.

"Sookie, what's wrong?" pleaded Pam as she rushes to my side.

"Who's in there?"

"What do you mean who's in there?; I'm not aloud to give you clues, so stop pretending."

"Can't you feel the power?"

"What power?"

My mind fogged over as a pair of strong hands rested on my shoulders. I look up into the most beautiful blue eyes, a girl can get lost in those eyes, I had on many occasions.

"Sookie are you alright?"

"Eric…" I whisper as my body starts to drowned in the power washing around me. Up was down, left was right, if I'd ever taken serious drugs before I'm sure this was the sensation.

"What the hell is going on here?" asked Eric shaking me gently.

"Master, Sookie turned to your booth and went wobbly, maybe she's fainting, human females do that. Oh, she mention something about power, then this?"

"Sookie, my love, please tell me what's wrong."

"I'm OK. I just felt something, but I'm OK now maybe by blood sugars low."

I can see the worry in his eyes. I tried to look around, where's this power is coming from. I calm my breathing and read the room, I don't want to panic everyone if I'm just losing my shit, it's happened before and it's sure to happen again. I have never felt anything like this before and I have spent quite some time with just about every supernatural out there. While I try to calm my nerves further and intern the two vampires standing next to me. I run through the list of possibilities. Witch, Were, Fairy, Boggy man, I have absolutely nothing, great work Sookie. Not even my great grandfather emits this kind of power.

"Please, tell me what it is lover."

I can feel his anger rising. If I don't calm him down, I'm going to have one very pissed off vampire on my hands. Eric is one of those bites first, removing a limb here and there, while asking questions later kind of vampires. Trust me it can be fun in some situations, others not so much.

"Eric, I really don't know. Please just help me find somewhere to sit and I could really use something to drink."

"Of course my lover. Come sit at my booth. There is someone I really want you to meet."

As Eric helps me towards his booth, I can see the worry on both his and Pam's faces. I turn slowly, just for a brief moment to wrap my arms around Eric's waist, resting my head on his chest, breathing deeply. When your bonded with a vampire, acts like this can be better than aspirin.

"My love, please tell me what's wrong."

"I'm OK Eric; just a little wonky, let's go meet your friend."

I raise my head, look into those beautiful eyes and give him my best crazy Sookie smile. This smile is something I've perfected over the years, being telepathic is not all cookies and cream as one would believe, sure there where the odd perks but try sitting in a class room with everyone screaming at you all day every day and that is just a taste of the Sookie Stackhouse life time story. We're walking to the booth with Pam at our side, watching me closely and I feel the power growing again, it's like walking into a lighting storm. I can't be losing it. It feels to amazing, Imagine bubbles and rainbows, its rain after a drought, it's pure power, its everything. It buzzes around my mind like fire flies. I lift my left hand and brush my fingers over Eric cheek, a little drunk in the feeling. Can he feel this? I see him calming as we walk and the contact is helping me keep my head above water, nope he's defiantly not feeling what I am. Giving me his sexy Viking smirk he gestures for me to take a seat. As I slide into the booth, I notice there's a very large vampire staring at me with a matching sexy smirk, yep I've lost it.

"Eric, you never mentioned your bonded was this beautiful."

I blush and turn to look at Eric who is sliding in next to me, the power hits me again but this time I'm ready for the sensation, this was getting ridiculous. I keep my face calm and try to pin point the area to which the powers is emanating from, there was nothing obvious. It's there, but it isn't. My search is broken by Eric.

"Brother, I do believe I have mentioned multiple times, how blissfully beautiful my Sookie is."

Brother! Did I just hear Eric correctly? I turn to look at the vampire sitting across from me. He's amazing, long black hair, crystal green eyes, and a little mouth water. One Viking was great but two.

"I do believe your bonded is trying to come to terms with the title you have placed upon me."

I must have looked like a deer in the head lights. I can see Pam trying not to laugh from the corner of my eye, her shoe collection was getting a visit if she liked it or not.

"Sookie, this is my brother Bastian. We are not blood related like human brothers but we do have the same maker."

He truly could have been Eric's twin. The similarities where amazing, both around 6'3, all muscle, drop dead gorgeous. If Eric wasn't blonde with blue eyes and his brother black haired with green eyes, they would be the same person.

"Master, I believe Sookie has gone into shock."

"I haven't gone into shock, Pam. It's just the similarities are amazing."

"Godric was shocked when he fell upon Bastian a few years after I was turned. He decided to turn Bastian and create a matching pair."

With Eric's comment everyone at the booth starts laughing. I felt it again, power. Pure, life altering power. For a split second, I thought maybe it was coming from Bastian, but it's becoming easier to follow. It was like a leaf in the wind, spinning and dancing, but always returning to it's master, who just happened to be sitting in the booth across the room. I looked directly at the person sitting in the booth, she was ethereal. I have never really found a female sexually attractive but this woman, this being was everything. Beautiful could not even come close to describing what a vision she was, you could get lost staring at her. At that moment I could feel Eric's panic; I turn away from the amazing woman to Eric's panicked eyes.

"Lover, I know something is wrong. Won't you tell me? Maybe I can help."

"Eric, I'm sorry. I know I'm acting a little strange. It's just that woman sitting in the booth across the room from us. There is something about her I just can't work out. It's like puppies and spring time, children's laughter and candy. I know I sound crazy, but it's hard to put into words. She's emitting an energy I've never felt before. It's light, dark, life, death. It's amazing and I'm drowning in the sensation." All three vampires turn to look.

"Sookie I can't explain what's happening, I know I'm supposed to be looking at the booth across the floor but I can't seem to do it. I look at the booth next to it and I can see everything. Just not the booth you wish me to look at." Replied Eric agitated.

"Bastian, Pam?"

"It's as my brother stated. I want to look, but I can't bring myself to do it."

"Sookie, is there a drink on the table of the booth" asks Pam.

"What do you mean?".

"If there's a drink, that means she has been served. We can ask Ginger, that's her section."

I look again and see the woman has what looks like a milk shake, OK maybe I have lost it, or glasses are in my near future.. Did Fangtasia even serve milk shakes?

"Ah, Pam. She has a milkshake."

Eric, Bastian, and Pam all look at me as if i'd grown a horn. Maybe I had, but there she was; sitting against the back wall of the booth with her legs resting on the seat, book in one hand and a milkshake in the other. It's almost like she doesn't even register anyone else in the club. Pam calls Ginger over and we all wait with baited breaths.

"Ginger, who's the woman in the booth across the way?"

Ginger look over in the direction of the booth, I can tell she can see to whom Pam is referring, but is confused by the question.

"Mistress I don't know who she is, but she keeps ordering weird drinks, have I done something wrong?"

Eric raises an eyebrow and asks Ginger what she means by weird drinks.

"Master, she requests a chilled glass, half true blood, half milk. I've never know a vampire to mix their blood."

Pam barks at Ginger to leave and not to mention our inquires in regards to the woman in the booth, to anyone.

"Well brother I knew my visit was going to be interesting, it seems we have a little mystery. I have never heard of a creature mixing their blood?"

Bastian had an amazing point. But I was more interested why Ginger and I could look at the woman, but none of the vampires? I decide to try and touch her mind, hey telepath here. Maybe I could get a better idea of what she was. All I knew was I wasn't going anywhere near her if Eric couldn't see her.

"I'm going to try and read her mind, see I can work out what she is."

"Alright my lover but be careful. We don't know what abilities she could have in place to protect herself."

I take hold of Eric's hand for some extra strength and reach out.

"Little fairy, you know it's quite rude to try and read someone's mind without their permission."

My body shivers with the sensation of her reply, it weighed heavy in my mind, her words actually pressed down, letting me know the owner was someone to be cautious of.

"Lover, what is it?".

"I tried to read her mind, but she told me I was being rude."

Can a telepath even be considered rude, once the words left my lips Eric growled, but Bastian laughed. His eyes lit up and he let the lips settle into a sweet smile.

"Well brother, at least she has a sense of humour."

We all turned to hear the musical chimes of the creatures laughter. Eric motioned for my to reach out again and ask what she is. But before I could touch her mind, she asks me a question.

"So little fairy, do we often play with the big bad vampires; it could be considered a health hazard?"

I must have let out a little giggle of my own, because Eric frowned and looked at me with concern.

"It's OK, she just asked if often play with vampires."

"I don't know about you brother, but I'm really liking your guest."

"Well Bastian, why don't you go over and introduce yourself if your so inclined.".

"I think I'm fine just where I am at the moment, well that is until your bonded finds out what our new friend is."

I turn to look at the woman and noticed she has placed her book on the table and is now looking at us with a smile on her face.

"May I ask your name?"

"Since you're the one interrupting my reading, I may ask you the same question."

"I'm Sookie Stackhouse."

"Nice to meet you, Sookie. I'm Aurora, Daughter of Poseidon and Princess to his realm ."

Turning to Eric I whisper, "She's a princess. Can you believe it you have a princess in Fangtasia?" This had all the vampires at my table intrigued

"Sookie are you sure, many claim to be of royal blood but not many are?"

"Princess Aurora."

"Sookie, you can just call me Aurora."

"Thank you Aurora. Why can't the vampires on my table see you?"

"It's just something I do to keep the supernaturals around me safe. I would think you'd understand being a little fairy, you do know what would happen if the vampires smelt your blood or even worse that of a full blood."

"Oh yes, the vampires would go crazy trying to drain them dry. Are you a fairy?"

"No Sookie, I'm not a fairy, but my blood has them same effect on vampires. It's actually a lot worse if a vampire catches my true scent."

"Then why did you come to a vampire bar?"

Aurora laughs aloud at my question and it catches the attention of everyone in her section. Eric looks at me for an answer.

"She just told me that her bloods more potent to vampires then fairy blood, so I asked what she is doing in a vampire bar."

That was a big mistake. Eric, Pam, and Bastian's fangs all pop down and they looked in the direction of the booth. I huff in annoyance, what is it with vampire and controlling themselves. They all turn and look at me. Eric bows his head to say sorry. As I look at the other two, raising my brows and they do the same.

"Well that was interesting. Can you see why I must mask my true scent? They almost went crazy just at the thought of my blood."

"But Aurora, if that's the reaction you get, why come to a vampire bar?"

"Since I'm able to mask my true scent from vampires completely, it's a place I can relax. I don't have the ability to mask completely from all supernaturals. Like yourself, fairies can sense my presence and a vampire bar is normally the last place you'd find a fairy."

Again I let out a little giggle, she has an excellent point. Eric squeezes my hand and I notice our silent conversation is starting to get some attention. Mystery laughter out of thin air and all.

"Sookie, has the creature told you what she is?"

I shake my head and look back to Aurora who just gives me a little wink.

"My love you need to find out what she is, and fast. Your conversation is starting to attract too much attention." Eric was great for stating the obvious; every vampire in the place was giving me the stink eye.

"Aurora."

"Yes Sookie"

"Are you able to let Eric, Pam, and Bastian see you with out smelling your scent?"

"I guess I can allow that, you are truly entertaining me this evening little fairy, but let it be known that only the three vampires at your table will be able to see me, the rest will still think your nuts." she giggled.

I knew as soon as everyone at our booth was able to see Aurora. Bastian starts to move in her direction, purring with desire. I reach over and grab his hand and this action makes him take his seat again, disappointment all over his face.

"Brother, she is the most amazing creature I have ever landed eyes upon." Eric growled in agreement.

"Eric, are you able to control yourself?" I ask.

"Sorry, lover. I don't know what came over me."

"Sookie don't be angry with your vampire, he cannot help himself."

"What are you?"

"Maybe you and your vampires would like to join me outside for some fresh air. I will answer all the questions I can. I hope to come here often and I think it best you are aware of my presence, besides you are very amusing."

I turn back to my table and tell Eric and the others that Aurora is going to meet us outside, Eric rises from his set and we all follow him out the employee's car park. Once outside we can all see Aurora and she is shining as bright as the moon itself. This was some crazy crazy stuff.

"Enough games woman, what are you?" demands Eric.

"Vampire if you wish to keep that pretty head on your shoulder, you will address me with the respect my title holds."

"Well Brother, I like he more and more."

"Thank you, Mr. Bastian of the Northman. I have to say, I to find you delectable."

"Please Princess, just call me Bastian."

"As you desire Bastian, please feel free at address me as Aurora"

Eric Pam and I are all in a daze. They're flirting, I get the crazy looks and this woman get flirted with, were is the justice.

"Bastian, maybe you can ask your new friend what she is?"

Eric looks over at his brother and just rolls his eyes. I can see why these too are brothers.

"Aurora, my sweet, can you please inform myself and my friends as to your origins"

He was laying it on a bit thick for my liking, but hey, this what vampires did, it was all or nothing.

"Well Bastian the answer is simple, your a vampire, Sookie is part fairy and I'm a GODDESS."

I look from Eric to Pam and finally rested on Bastian. Weird just doesn't cover this kind of crap. I'm standing in the car park at Fangtasia, I've just meet Eric's brother, who is the mirror image of him and we are staring at a Princess Goddess. My bag of supernaturals just got a whole lot bigger.
