Prologue
Redemption Seeking
A.N: Well my first fanfic so not too much experience so please don't be harsh anyway I hope you enjoy."Talking"
"Thinking"
Lightning bolt a stallion with a royal blue coat and dark blue mane with yellow stripes and light blue eyes and a lightning bolt shaped flying in a circle style for a cutie mark.
He is moving from Manehattan to Ponyville to try to start a new life and redemption for his past life.
He was walking to the train station when he starts thinking what will he do when he's in ponyville.
He thought of working at a shop but then decided against it, He then thought on doing odd jobs but then changed his mind cause it wouldn't pay enough, and finally he thought on being in the weather team he is great at flying and knows his way around weather well, so he chose that.
"Well that's taken care of" Lightning says.
He sees the train station so he goes to the ticket booth to get his ticket
"Hello there how can I help you" says the mare behind the booth who looks about 40.
"How much for a ticket to ponyville" asks Lightning.
"It's 12 bits for a pony and 25 for a family" the mare replies.
"A family... I wish I had a real one" Lightning thinks.
Lightning then gives the mare 12 bits, the mare then smiles back and gives him his ticket. "Have a safe trip!" the mare says.
Lightning then waits for the train to come, about 20 minutes later and he hears a whistle he looks to it's direction, and as expected he sees the train, he gets up to get ready for the train to stop, when the doors open he enters and gets in his seat.
"Your ticket please" the ticket stallion asks.
Lightning then gives him the ticket and as the stallion leaves, lightning thinks "Well my new life awaits".
After about 2 hours Lightning starts seeing some farmland and buildings, that meant that the train was getting closer to his new home.
The town was starting to get in view, and he can see the train station closing in.
When the train stops, Lightning bolt gets off and looks around to see the most busy town he ever saw in his life apart from manehatten of course.
He starts going around the town after a while and not being able to find the town hall he had to ask for directions.
He saw a pink mare that was smiling one of the biggest smiles he ever saw, and was bouncing alot.
He then goes to ask her "Hello can you tell me where is the town hall?".
She stops mid air and looks to Lightning's direction and then she gasps and then disappears.
"Welp that was the weirdest thing I saw" Lightning says.
He decided to ask somepony else he sees two mares talking so he went to ask them.
"Hello can you tell me where is the town hall?" Lightning asks.
The mares look towards lightning for a second then one of them says "Hi there you must be new".
"Yes I am" Lightning says
"Well it's just this way then turn left" one of the mares then makes gestures to point to the way "thank you ma'am" lightning says.
"Anyway who are you?" lightning asks.
"Just call me bon bon and this is lyra" she says pointing to the mare beside her "hi!" lyra says.
"Hi" lightning replies.
"Well thanks for the help" lightning says waving them both goodbye.
He then starts walking to the town hall so he can buy a house for himself.
After 20 minutes, he finally arrives, then he enters and sees a mare sitting behind a desk who he assumed was the mayor.
"Hi ma'am" lightning says.
"Oh hi there! And you are...?" the mayor asks.
"I'm Lightning bolt" lightning replies.
"Well you must be new, so are you visiting or do you want to buy a house" the mayor asks.
"I would like a house" lightning replies.
"Ah always lovely to see new ponies want to live in our town, well follow me then" the mayor says standing up from her chair
She started walking to a room while lightning followed.
"Now it's boring paper work time" lightning thinks.
An hour and a half later he was finally done, and now he owns a house that was in the outskirts of town, near Cloudsdale but it didn't bother him actually he prefers it like that, he then decided to go to his new home.
While he was on his way he thinks on what would he do tomorrow. the first thing was, of course to get a job and the second thing, was to get a map of the town or something so he can get around town easier.
When he got there he opened the door to his new home, it was medium sized, it looked cozy, it was already furnished, so that was taken care of.
"Well it looks good, better than my past apartment at least" Lightning says.
After a bit he starts getting accustomed with his new home, he then goes to his bedroom, it was big, it had a double side bed that was very comfortable it also had a dresser.
He decided to read something to pass time, he took out a daring do book and started reading.
However, somepony in Cloudsdale took notice of this new pony, Rainbow dash.
Rainbow was sitting in her cloud house when she decided to get out.
Once she got out she looked around to see if she had anything to do.
"What to do what to do" rainbow asks herself out loud.
Then something catches her attention, a pony entering a house that she know no one lived in, so she thought that he was new and he was close to her house anyway so she said "Well I got nothing better to do, so why not".
As she started flying towards the house she started thinking how would that new pony be like, maybe kind, bold mean or timid she didn't know but she was about to find out.
As Lightning was reading he heard a knock on the door, he was a bit confused but shrugged it off, he puts the book down on the table to go answer the door, as he walked to the door he began thinking who might this be, but he didn't have enough time as he was already infront of the door, he opened it.
What he saw was a Pegasus, unmistakably Rainbow dash.
"Can I help you?" asked Lightning.
"I just noticed that there is a new pony so I thought I would introduce myself" Rainbow says.
"Yeah?" says Lightning.
"I am Rainbow dash the fastest flyer in Equestria!" Rainbow dash says with pride in her voice.
"Well I am Lightning bolt" says Lightning.
"Cool name" says Rainbow "thanks I guess" he replies.
"Well I am sorry I can't talk anymore, I have something to do plus I gotta finish my daring do book" says Lightning.
Rainbow goes wide eyed for a second then screams "You read daring do!?".
"Yeah" Lightning says.
"What's your favorite book?" Rainbow dash asks excitedly.
"Daring do and the quest for the sapphire stone" Lightning says.
"That's my favorite one too!" says Rainbow dash.
"Oh what did I get myself into" thinks Lightning.
"Well if you want to talk more then come in" says Lightning.
"Oh you have to tell me everything!" Rainbow dash says.
