Author's note

Hey guys! I am sorry for not updating you guys for a while! However, I am back! This fanfic is not that important, it's just an idea that popped into my head. Anyway, the first several chapters will be short but I guarantee it will get longer at the end. This story was also heavily inspired by the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 2004. This story also contains some spoilers, so if you have not watched the movie. I highly recommend you not to read this fanfic. This story also contains some spandy moments. And also a big thank you for deamer1920. For the awesome encouragement, you gave me. Anyways, sorry for the long note. Enjoy!

Chapter 1

A new day

It had been 16 years since plankton took over bikini bottom. He needed a plan to come up with. So he can retain his position. However, every plan he tried was a failure. He would normally get laughed at by his ex-best friend. Mr. Krabs. Who obtained a successful business in bikini bottom. He also possesses the Krabby Patty secret formula. Plankton had tried and failed at retrieving the formula. He would frequently come to the Krusty Krab daily to try to steal the formula. However, this time he did not come. Mr. Krabs, however, was suspicious of plankton. He knew something was up. He ordered his employees to keep an eye out for plankton.

Meanwhile, at the chum bucket …

In the chum bucket. Plankton sat at the counter and Thought of an idea to overtake the Krusty Krab. Nothing came to his mind at first. But then, ideas started flooding in. He wrote the schemes in a journal, so he could look at them later. Karen looked at her husband. Knowing he would likely fail.

"Karen! I have done it! I have a master plan to rule bikini bottom," Plankton said to his wife.

'Well, I hope it's not a failure. Because all of your other plans either did not work or you just gave up on them' Karen said to her husband

"Well this time it won't fail"

Meanwhile at the Krusty krab

'All right lads. Plankton is up to something. So I am asking you to keep an eye out for the little pest'

'Ey ey sir!' Spongebob said to Mr krabs in a cheerful tone.

'Whatever.' said Squidward. he did not care about his job or his reputation. The only thing he cared about was his clarinet. He was also dull and arrogant. Spongebob on the other hand loved his job, he was funny and sweet and he was optimistic.

'All right Squidward. I have something to tell you"

'Well, what is it?"

'Well Squidward, I will be out of town for a while. And if you are wondering where I am going. I am going to visit a friend. I am also asking you to keep the formula safe from plankton.

'Well ok, Mr krabs.'

Spongebob was around the corner. Listening to every word Mr. Krabs and Squidward said in the conversation. He asked Mr krabs where he was going. He said he was going to visit a friend. Spongebob asked 'Well who is going to be the boss, while you're gone?"

'Well, I guess, Squidward's boss until I get back so you better his take orders seriously"

'Ay ay, sir!' Spongebob said as the bus came to a stop at the Krusty Krab.

'Well, that's the bus. I will see you, lads, again in three days.

'Bye, Mr k! I will see you again, in three days' Spongebob said as the bus vanished into the mist.

5 hours later...

Squidward glanced at the Krusty krab clock. It was 6:30 pm. The time Spongebob and Squidward were supposed to go home. Squidward shouted to Spongebob saying 'Spongebob, it's time to go home, are you coming?"

'Oh, I am coming. Squidward'. Spongebob replied.

After a few minutes, later Spongebob and Squidward got out of the Krusty Krab. they walked to their homes. Spongebob was the first to reach his house while Squidward came in last.

Spongebob opened the door to his pineapple home. He was greeted by his pet snail, Gary.

'Oh, hey Gary, how was your day?'

'Meow.' (my day was fine, how was yours?)

'It was fine, Gary." Spongebob replied.

The next day

The irritating noise of beeping came -once again- from his nightstand. A tired Spongebob slammed the snooze button. He got up opening his eyes a little bit. Just to see the red numbers 6:30 glowing in the dark. Quickly shutting his eyes again.

To put it simply Spongebob was exhausted. After a minute of sleeping The sea, Sponge decided to Get up and take a quick shower knowing it would refresh him. After a quick shower, the naive sponge went slowly to his kitchen. Opening a cabinet and taking out a bowl and a box of cereal. He poured the cereal into the bowl and then the milk. He took a spoon and began to eat his cereal. After a while, he finished, lifting the bowl and putting it into his sink. he felt something moving around of foot he was greeted by Gary, who meowed happily. SpongeBob smiled and greeted, "Hi, Gary! Are you hungry?" Gary meowed affirmatively then slithered toward the kitchen cabinet. After filling Gary's food bowl with Snail-po, SpongeBob decided to turn on the television because he still had an hour of free time before going to bed. He turned to the news station, where, as if the station expected SpongeBob to turn to their channel at that exact moment, a breaking news story came on. Perch Perkins appeared on the screen,
