Sandy Cheeks was doing some stretches while thinking to herself. "Anyone remember that stupid manta ray boss made of goop in that Sunshine filled island?"
Mrs. Puff glanced up from clearing out her purse. "You mean at the Serina Hotel where you had to squirt it and then it gets smaller until they all start attacking you?"
Karen Plankton the computer wife shook her robotic head. "Remember all that icky, paint like goop that electrified you?"
The girls all laughed as they sighed in unison, "Yeah, good times."
"Maybe for you, but not for me!" Toadette snapped for she was breaking wind, with her conjuring up a flashback while passing gas. "I remember it quite vividly!"
1 scene transition courtesy of Toadette farting later, the rather unlucky pink mushroom female was walking alongside the beach in Isle Delfino's Gelato Beach, when she noticed something strange in the waves.
"Huh? What's that?" Toadette asked herself since she squinted at the waves, to see a bottle floating towards her, with a white letter in it.
Dashing towards the sea, Toadette grabbed the bottle and pulled the letter out, dropping the bottle as she unraveled the letter, reading it loudly.
"Run while you still have the chance," Toadette read as she moved her head from side to side. "Before you get swept by the nefarious Phantamanta." She then looked back up, gasping in horror as she saw it - the Phantamanta.
The Phantamanta, which is goop shaped like a manta ray, has terrorized Isle Delfino before, having been responsible for plunging Hotel Delfino underneath electrical sea-green and yellow goop. Years after its defeat, however, it somehow managed to recreate itself, being larger than it formerly was as the entire beach was soon swamped in the toxic goop. With the Piantas, Nokis, and Cataquacks on the beach heading for the grassy hills, Toadette screamed as she, too, left the beach, spinning her pink pigtails and taking flight as the Phantamanta moved all around Gelato Beach, soaking up everything in its sight with the goop, leaving it a deadly mess.
"I gotta find something that destroys that thing!" Toadette exclaimed as she was high in the air, looking down at the devastated beach, folding her arms as she frowned. "But what...?"
"...So how did you handle it?" Sandy responded with her arms folded together.
Toadette was brushing her pink fungi pigtails. "Like you would handle any situation."
"Just get right into the thick of it?" Mrs. Puff interjected while accidentally puffing herself up.
Toadette began clapping and laughing. "Frankly yes!"
"I take it that you didn't enjoy it much." Karen sarcastically remarked with a picture to capture the whole experience.
