(Flashback)

It was a hot summer day, sounds of kids filled the halls of the orphanage, A silver-haired boy watched a happy couple take home a new child, it was one of the newer orphans, they were abandoned a few weeks ago, a baby to be precise, he sighed a heavy sigh, "Hm, It looks like he was taken to a good home." he hopped out of bed and changed into a White T-shirt, Jeans, sneakers, and a light jacket. He walked out of the room where he was and walked down the hallway, there were pictures of orphans being adopted by foster parents, 'Who just leaves their child, do they care about them?' a ball hit him on the head, it fell to the floor he grabbed it and looked for the owner, "Hey Zane." a deep voice spoke, he traced the voice to his friend, he was a skinny tanned 14-year-old boy, he was only 2 years behind Zane but, he was in the orphanage before Zane, he had dark-brown hair and brown eyes, "Hey Alejandro." He gave the ball back to the 14-year-old.
"Going to work?" The Tanned Boy said.
"Yea, how else am I going to pay for a house once I turn 18?" He replied with a smile.
"I can't believe that 10 years past, did you find anything about your fami-" He was interrupted.
"I told you, They were killed, I don't know what killed them, but they died by some monster!" The people around him were staring at him like he was insane.
"Zane-san, you've been through this, your parents left you." The tanned boy's eyes glowed in empathy.
'I-I'm not crazy, am I?' He was snapped back to reality when he heard his alarm on his watch rang.
"Damn, I'm going to be late, Bye Alejandro!" He ran out the entrance of the orphanage, he quickly saw a vase was knocked over and picked it up and straightened the vase and picture frame it had a black-haired boy and an orange-haired girl, it was unusual around these parts but he knew these kids, a butterfly landed the frame it had black wings with purple dots on it, looked unusual, hed never saw any butterfly like it, he got up and walked to his job.
He walked up to a cafe named 'Coffee Spot' he walked in and was greeted by a pink-haired girl, who of which jumped on him and pinned him on the ground, "Get off me Serrine-san!" She had a maniacal grin on, "What too weak to get a girl off you?" Zane clutched his fists, "Ok then!" Before she could counter, he put her in a
head-lock, "Say Uncle!" the stubborn, pink-haired girl struggled, it did nothing over the strength of Zane's head-lock "Zane-kun, let go of your cousin." The older woman shook her head, watching the two teens pin each other.
"Fine." He let go right before she lost breath, the pink-haired girl coughed and gasped for air, "Your mean Z-Chan!" he grabbed her by the head and squeezed.
"You wanna see mean?" His silver eyes glowed, "No, no that's not necessary Z-Chan." he let go, waving his hand in the air to get rid of a cramp due to him squeezing so hard.
"Hey Ai-san, slow as usual?" He looked around to see no customers, taking off his jacket.
"Yes, not many customers come here during the summer." She put some pastries on a shelf filled with baked goods, "Your uniform is in the back, Need anything just call." Zane nodded and headed to the back.

[Front of the Coffee Spot]

"I almost got him this time!" the pink-haired teen said, pushing some hairs away from her hazel eyes, "Mhm, sure Serrine" The elder woman looked behind her making sure Zane was gone, "He's out of hearing distance." The once cheerful pink-haired girl's smile turned into a frown, "Why are we acting nice to the 'Ultimate Enemy' Mom?" The elder woman sighed
"I am paying back a debt to his parents." the once paled women turned red
"Oh yea a debt to a Hollow, What about the Quincy pride?" The elder woman looked at her daughter threateningly
"He hasn't hollowfied so technically, he is simply a human" The younger Quincy pouted, "I sealed away his spiritual energy 10 years ago he won't-" Her daughter looked at her,
"He will Hollowfy, you're just delaying the inevitable." The cup that she was cleaning broke.

[Back of the Coffee Spot]

Zane was Searching the back for his uniform, 'Serrine must have hidden it.' When moving a box he found some uniforms, "ah-ha take that you pink-haired menace!"
he picked up the uniform, which is an apron with the logo that he could put over his clothes, and a cross came out of the pocket, his instincts said not to touch it, but he was curious, he picked it up and it seemed to be a christian cross with some sort of Saphire-like material in the middle he got out the closet with it and decided to ask his aunt.
