"A New Purpose"

Chapter 1

Hey guys! It's LemonLimeBeta here and I am writing my first ever fanfic!

Excited but kinda nervous I guess lol.

Rated M, for POSSIBLE lemons (which if I do I will warn you ahead of time), cursing, and yeah.

Please enjoy my first of chapter. =P

HUMPHREY POV

I woke up to another gorgeous morning. The sun shafts coming from the air, polluted my den as I squirmed around. I stir about and came to a sitting position. I gave out a quick yawn from the great sleep I had experienced. Today I was going to kiss my girlfriend for the first time. My girlfriend was, Kate, the most beautiful wolf on the planet. I sniffed around my den smelling a strange scent.

"Ew, I smell really bad." I said trotting over to the river to take a quick plunge.

As I finished taking my quick dip I dried off in the sun and started my way back to my den. On the way I came across to Kate. I instantly started smiling and ran up to her. I gave her a quick nuzzle on the side of her neck. To my surprise she did not give any affection back.

"What's wrong baby?" I asked Kate with a concerned look on my face.

"Nothing Humphrey." She said back with a slightly annoyed tone.

I did not understand what I did wrong. Three days ago we were in my den cuddling but now its like I was annoying her.

"Did I do something wrong?!" I asked with a saddened look on my face.

"I dont know im just not feeling good today." She said starting to turn away and walk off.

"Wait." I said as she turned around and faced me again. "Do you want to just cuddle in my den and talk about it."

"No Humphrey, I-I cant." She said just running away.

I didn't even try to go after because I knew she would out-run me. After all, she was an alpha and i'm just a little coyote-like omega. I returned to my den layed down on the cold floor and I began to lightly sob as I felt so hurt from the encounter with her.

Some time has passed, the sun was setting. I had not done anything except stay in my den. I walked up to Kate's den and saw her all brushed down and pampered as if for a special occasion. She had that flower on her ear and she looked so gorgeous. But what really mattered was were the heck she was going all "dressed" up. So I followed her in secret. She finally stopped near Garth's den. As she walked up the slope toward Garth's' den entrance I became more and more worried. She stopped near the front of the entrance as Garth walked out stopping right in front of Kate's muzzle.

I heard Garth say some words that sounded muffled from this distance, and then it happened. Garth connected muzzles with Kate's muzzle and they fell into a deep, passionate kiss. As soon as this happened my heart had the sharpest pain in the world. It was as if she had just stabbed me straight in the heart. I let out a loud gasp that blew my cover. Kate looked straight towards me and I gasped in terror.

"Oh my god, Hu-humphrey… baby im s-so sorry.." She said as she teared up, knowing what she had done.

"First you basically avoid me all day and now this… why, Kate why, I thought you loved me." I said with tears in my eyes.

"I do love you Humphrey, I s-swear…" She said as she looked at Garth with an angry look and scratched him straight across the face.

Garth whined with shock as he did not expect Kate to strike him like that.

"I fucking hate you!" Kate yelled at Garth as she came running towards me.

Garth was in complete shock and couldn't speak neither move, meanwhile blood trickled down his face. I ran as fast as I could to my den and surprisingly, Kate couldn't catch up with me as I returned to my den. I then heard a wolf with a mellow but concerned voice call my name out.

"Humphrey?" The wolf called out as they came into my den .

It was Lilly. As soon as I saw that it was Lilly I tried to wipe away my tears and control my sobbing and breathing but it was to late.

"Oh my, Humphrey, what happened to you?" Lilly said instantly coming and lying down next to me.

"Lilly I would tell you, but i'm afraid you wont believe me." I said as I looked at her sadly.

Her eyes were gorgeous, a beautiful shade of light violet. I stared into them for a few seconds until she responded to me.

"Of course I'm going to believe you Humphrey, you're one of my best friends." She said, reaching out her paw and wiping away my tears with a smile.

As she did this it felt like I was all better all ready, but my heart said otherwise.

"Well, Kate…" I said stuttering not being able to catch my breath.

"Kate, c-cheated on me!" I said as I started to sob again.

"Oh no, i'm so sorry…" She said as she slowly walked up to me.

She laid down next to me. She confronted me.

"I'm sorry, you shouldn't be going through this. Not someone like you." She said.

More will be coming very soon but yeah that's that.

It was very short but the next chapter will be longer.
