Chapter 1: Introduction
Hello, my name is Lana and I am 15 years old. I have bright blond hair, sky blue eyes, and my skin is pale with a light color. I like to wear my hair down. my hair is long and it goes to the length of my arms. the style of clothing I like to wear is t-shirts from my favorite shows, movies, and video games, and soft, comfortable leggings. and I am currently waiting to board a plane to go to a college in Paris, France. The time of the year is 2018 and it is near the end of the month in July. I live in New York in the United States of America and I live in Manhattan. The reason why I am going to college at a young age is that I am a smart kid and I passed all my exams with flying colors. The principal at my school was very impressed with my grades, so he decided to enroll me in college early.
I am flying from America so It's gonna be a long 12-hour flight. I am excited to go to college for a number of reasons. The main reason though is to get away from my abusive Aunt. My mom and dad, Chris and Morgan have died in a fatal car accident when I was just a baby. After my parent's death, my Aunt has taken me in along with my biological sister, Becky.
I am in the airport right now, with my Aunt Ellie and my sister, Becky waiting to board the plane. Aunt Ellie is a 30-year-old woman who always wore a strict look on her face. She is tall with long wavy jet black hair and green eyes and she wore a black dress. Aunt Ellie mostly wore dresses and skirts with high heels. Aunt Ellie is watching the crowd like a hawk, judging people and making comments about everything people are doing like, "This girl wears too much make-up" And stuff like that.
Becky is 17 years old, so she is a couple of years older than me. She has blonde hair and brown eyes and has pale skin. Becky's style of clothing is light weight sweaters and she sometimes wore skirts in the summer and springtime. Becky likes to wear dark-colored clothing. The most colors she wears are red, purple, and black. Becky is a nice person, and she likes to help out people in need.
My plane is leaving in a few hours so I have some time before the plane leaves. I decided to watch some movies while I was waiting. As I was waiting to board the plane, I was watching some movies on my phone. The movie I am watching is Avengers infinity war. After I finished watching Infinity war, I decided to watch RWBY volume 5 for a bit.
As we were waiting, Aunt Ellie was badmouthing to every worker about the staff taking so long to get the plane ready to board. She was also complaining and grumbling quietly to herself. "We have to wait, Aunt Ellie, the pilots need time before they can take off and let everyone board the plane" Becky said. I nodded. "Yeah, we have to be patient and let them do their job" I said. "I don't have time for patience! You know Lana, you're lucky that Zane and I let you go to college" Aunt Ellie said.
I sighed. Zane is my manager, from the molding agency. We do not get along very well. That's one of the reasons why I hate my job. The other reason why I hate my job is that Zane makes me do things that I am not comfortable with, for example making me wear hardly any clothes, and making me wear uniforms that I am not comfortable with. The uniforms I would wear at work are some clothes that expose parts of my skin and very short skirts. The time I would wear my uniform at work is when I am doing job tasks and cleaning or helping out customers who have come for appointments.
The only time I would not wear my uniform at work is when I am doing modeling in the back room and that is what I would spend most of my time doing at work. The last reason why I hate my job is that my co-workers bully me any chance they get. My co-workers think I am a spoiled brat who gets what she wants but that is not true at all. I do not get everything that I want in life. I have asked my Aunt if I could quit my job many times but she would always say no. The reason is that I make a lot of money at my job and My Aunt uses me for my money.
I am glad I am going to college so I can get out of this hellhole that I am living in right now. After a while of watching Maleficent on my phone, I heard my row being called for boarding the plane on the speakers. "Would all first-class passengers, please board the plane now" The pilot said. The voice on the speaker was crackly/clear. People instantly got up to line up at the boarding line to board the plane.
I gathered my stuff together and walked with my Aunt and my sister to board the plane. My sister gave me a hug. I tried my best to hold in my tears as I was saying goodbye to my sister. "Goodbye Lana, do good in school and study well, I will miss you" Becky said. "Goodbye Becky, I love you" I said. "I love you too" Becky whispered into my ear. I began to cry after I said goodbye to my sister because I am going to miss her.
My Aunt looked at me with a dark look in her eyes. "Do good in school Lana, and don't be an embarrassment" Aunt Ellie said. I sighed. "Yes, Aunt Ellie" I said. "Good, now go" Aunt Ellie said in an angry voice. Aunt Ellie gave me a glare as I walked up to the line to board the plane. After the staff member checked me in, I waved to Becky as I boarded the plane. I found my seat in the first-class area. My family is rich so we can afford fancy things.
I used to have a lot of money myself, but my Aunt took my money and kept it all to herself. At least she gave me some money I can spend while I am at college. After everyone boarded the plane, and the flight attendant went over the safety precautions. The plane took off into the sky. "Paris, here I come" I whispered excitedly. I looked out the window as I saw beautiful clouds passing us and the sky looked as clear as ever and the sun shone brightly into the sky. After a few minutes, I decided to watch Black Panther on the screen monitors in the seats. After I watched Black Panther I decided to watch Frozen. When I finished watching my movies I rested my head on my seat.
8 hours into the flight I could hear an announcement being made. "This is your pilot speaking, the plane is discovering a malfunction and we will now have to proceed to an emergency landing. Please stay calm and follow the safety routine in your handbooks" The pilot said. I felt nervous but I didn't worry too much because I thought we would get to the airport soon and we would make the landing in time so construction workers can do some repairs to the plane. I decided not to worry and went back to watching my movies. After a while, I heard a loud noise.
"Did anyone else hear that?" A passenger sitting behind me said. "Was it that loud noise that I heard?" I said. "Yes" She said. "Something is wrong with the plane" The woman said. "Yeah well hopefully they will make the landing soon" I said. "Yeah" The woman said. A few seconds later, we heard another loud noise. "Oh, shit" The woman said. "I don't think this is good" I said. I was right because the plane began falling. People screamed as they scrambled to get to safety. Some people jumped out the window with some parachutes. There were no parachutes left, so it was everyone for themselves. I was crying as we were falling and spinning out of control.
people continued to scream as the plane was spinning out of control. The plane was falling very fast and the plane was making a lot of noise as it was falling. The plane scraped against the ground when it landed on the ground. When we made an impact on the ground, I grunted in pain. The impact was hard and debris was flying all over the place. Glass on the window shattered and the glass cut my skin. Then everything was silent. When the dust cleared up the area, I walked around the plane and walked outside. I could not find anyone. People's lifeless bodies were scattered around the crash. I must be the only survivor on the plane. I panicked. How am I going to go to college now? As the stress was kicking in, I passed out.
When I woke up, I noticed I was in a dark cave. I sat up and saw two lions sitting next to me. one was a female who had brown fur, red eyes, and a diamond on her forehead. She smiled at me and was looking welcoming and friendly. The other lion who sat next to me was a male, who had black mane and yellow fur. he also had green eyes but he didn't look friendly at all. He looked a bit scary to me.
I had blond hair, blue eyes, and a light skin tone. "Where...am I?" I said, confused. "Your in pride rock. I am Ahadi, king of the pride lands" The male lion said. "And I am Uru, queen of the pridelands" The female lion said. "Oh. Well, thanks for your help. I should get going now" I said. "Wait! Don't you have anywhere to go?" Uru said.
"Not really...but I think I still have my stuff after the plane crashed. "Okay well. you can go find your stuff and I can show you where you will be staying" Uru said. "Okay" I said. "Wait, Uru. I don't think this is a good idea" Ahadi said. "Oh come on Ahadi, we should help out this poor girl. She has no where to go" Uru said.
"I don't care! She can't stay here!" Ahadi shouted. Ahadi then turned to glare at me. "Listen you brat...you have three seconds to get out of the pride lands before I kill you" Ahadi said. "Okay, fine I will go" I said. "Good. now get out" Ahadi said. "Ahadi!" Uru yelled as I was running out of the cave.
I had tears streaming down my face as I was walking away from the pridelands. When I got to the plane crash, I gasped with fright. Dead bodies were laying on the ground. I was the only survivor on the plane. Everyone else was dead. I had tears streaming down my face and I collapsed to my knees.
I was supposed to be going to college. I was so excited but now, My dreams of becoming a movie actress were over. I have loved movies and ever since I was a kid, my dream was to become an actress where I act in movies. I continued to cry until I heard a voice calling out to me. "Sweetie? Are you okay?" A voice said.
I turned around to see Uru, the same lion from before walking up to me. She sat down and comforted me. "What's wrong?" Uru said as she placed a paw on my shoulder. "I was gonna go to college to study for becoming a movie actress where I act in movies. It has been my dream since I was a kid. After the plane crashed, my dreams were ruined. I can't be a movie actress anymore. My parents died when I was only a baby.
my Aunt has taken me in along with my half-sister but my Aunt is very abusive towards me. She forces me to work at the job where we do modeling and my boss forces me to wear clothes that expose most of my body and my co-workers bully me because they think I am a spoiled brat" I said. Uru looked at me with sympathy in her eyes. "Oh I am so sorry. what's your name?" Uru said.
I looked at her with tears still in my eyes. "It's...Lana" I said. "Nice to meet you, Lana. I'm really sorry about my husband earlier. He can be like that often, most of the time" Uru said. "It's okay" I said as I wiped some tears. "Hey I have an idea. How would you like to live with us and I adopt you as my own daughter?" Uru said.
My eyes widened. "wait really?" I said with surprise. "Yes" Uru said. I hugged her. "Thank you so much, Uru!" I said. "Your welcome. and you can call me mom from now on, okay?" Uru said. "Okay mom. but what will Ahadi think of this?" I said. "Don't worry. I will talk to him. I will convince him to adopt you as well" Uru said. "Okay" I said. "Let's go get your stuff and I will show you where you will be staying" Uru said. "Okay, mom" I said.
Uru helped me gather my stuff. When we got my stuff, we walked back to pride rock, Uru showed me my room where I will be staying. "Thanks, mom" I said. "Your welcome sweetie. I'll let you put your stuff away and call me if you need anything" Uru said. "Alright" I said. When Uru left my room, she closed the door behind me. After she left the room, I got to work, unpacking and redecorating the room. After I redecorated I looked at it and smiled.
The decorations to the room were with the Avengers theme room. I am a huge marvel fan. I love anything Avengers and I see every Marvel movie that comes out in theaters. All the superheroes I love Were pasted onto the wall of my room with my new wall stickers. my favorite superhero's On the wall have the Guardians of the galaxy. my favorite avengers are Gamora, Black widow, Iron man, Doctor strange, and Black panther.
There was a big avengers arrow logo with an A symbol and an arrow in the middle. the sticker is light grey and it is above my bed. The bed has avengers blankets with avengers bedding sheets and pillows. There was a bookshelf with loads of my books and a tv mounted up on a wall and a desk with my laptop. There was also a nightstand with a lamp and a plug-in for my phone. When I looked in the closet I saw all my clothes Folded nicely in my closet. I looked at the bookshelf and saw all my movies and books on there.
I smiled and laid down on my bed. I then closed my eyes and fell asleep.
It is the next day since Uru has adopted me as her daughter and I have come into the pride lands. I am thankful Uru has decided to adopt me. I am happy here in my new room and happy in my new home. I just hope Ahadi can accept me as his daughter as well. As I was walking outside, I could hear Uru and Ahadi talking. I saw my new brothers, Mufasa and Scar, playing. I decided to go play with my new brothers while my parents were talking.
As my parents were talking, Ahadi called me over. "Yes?" I said nervously as I walked up to him. "So, Uru Adopted you, right?" Ahadi said with his voice angry. "Yes..." I said nervously. "Are you umm...my new dad too?" I said. Ahadi did not like this. Ahadi roughly grabbed me and held me in a tight grip. "Ahh!" I cried.
"Let her go, Ahadi!" Uru shouted. "No, Uru! This is your punishment for adopting this brat without my permission!" Ahadi shouted. Ahadi bit down hard on my ear. I cried out in pain as Ahadi bit down. "Ah! Stop, please!" I cried. "Do not talk back to me, Lana!" Ahadi shouted. Ahadi then tore off the top half of my left ear.
I cried out in pain. "Ahadi!" Uru shouted. I had tears streaming down my face as my ear was burning with pain. The rest of the pride came running to see what was going on. "What was that screaming?" A lioness shouted. "Oh, nothing to worry about. now go back to the cave or go hunting" Ahadi ordered the lionesses. "Yes, my king" The lioness said. The lionesses went back to their caves.
"What the hell did you just do Ahadi?!" Uru shouted. "This was your punishment Uru. I hope you have learned your lesson" Ahadi said. "What lesson?! I have never done anything, nor did Lana. just please, accept her into the pride and the family" Uru said. Ahadi then looked at me, then back at Uru.
There was a long creepy moment of silence. But then, Ahadi finally spoke up. "Fine. she can be part of the pride and we can adopt her. but this will be our last kid, Uru. do you understand Uru?" Ahadi said. Uru sighed. "Yes, Ahadi. but please do try to treat her with kindness and respect" Uru said. "Fine. only for you" Ahadi said.
"Thank you, Ahadi" Uru said. With that, Ahadi let go of me and he went back to the cave. Uru pulled me into a hug. "I am so sorry Lana. I didn't know he would do that" Uru said. "It's okay mom, you did not know" I said. "How is your ear doing?" Uru said.
"Okay I think. It will be like this for the rest of my life I think because Ahadi tore off the top half of the left one off and there is no way of getting it back" I said. "I know sweetie. I'm sorry. I just hope he treats you with more respect. you let me know if he hurts you again, okay?" Uru said. I nodded. "Okay, mom" I said. "I am gonna go explorer for a bit" I said. "Okay, just be back before dinner time" Uru said. "Okay, mom" I said. I went to my room and got my purse.
I then made my way to the town.
