Chapter 1: Start From the Beginning
" Connor, it's me, Owlette, your friend,... remember?" Owlette said as the wolf backed the girl into the side of an apartment building. The creature's icy-blue gaze seemed to look into her soul as it growled a low growl. Owlette's eyes widened in fright as the wolf got ready to lunge.
" Hey, rot-breath! Over here!" Owlette knew that voice. " Gekko!" she cried.
The boy in green danced around. "Wolfie wolf! What's wrong? Scared?" he taunted. The creature leaped at Owlette's friend and team-mate.
Owlette gasped as Gekko shouted," Super Gekko shield!" A large, green shield appeared on his fore-arm. He took a swing at the beast with the shield as the creature came down, and it flew into a couple of nearby trashcans.
" Gekko! Be careful!" Owlette said as she flew over to him. " It's Connor!" Gekko looked at the girl, shocked. "What?!" he gasped. Owlette nodded sadly.
Meanwhile, the wolf had gotten it's wits together and was back on it's paws.
Owlette saw the creature coming towards them. " Super owl feathers!" she shouted. Sharp, red feather-ish things came out of her cape and surrounded the wolf in a dome of red.
" What's going on?" Gekko questioned, looking from the girl to the growling dome and back again. Owlette sighed. And then she said,"Let me start from the beginning..."
