AN: I know, I know. I'm crazy for starting a new story. At this point in this was the one thing I could think of. I have been working on Change of Heart, At the Cliff, and my only Lion Guard fanfiction A New Place New Danger. Now I have a fourth story that I couldn't get off my mind. I promise that I will finish my stories someday. I'm a busy man with a powerful weapon, maybe too powerful. Imagination.

This story does not take place on the continent of Pyrrhia (Wings of Fire) but on an island that is far west of the continent. A large island that has similar but more simple dragons like Fire Dragons, Ice Dragons, and Lightning Dragons. It also has other mythical creatures such as Hippogryphs, Amphitheres, Hippocampus, Cockatrice, Stymphalian Birds, Myrmex, Sea Serpents, Sirens, Hydras, Werewolves, and Krakens.

I'll add another mythical creature that is not added by the Minecraft mod or Wings of Fire. See if you can catch it.

A Prince's Tale

Prologue

Once upon a time, there was an island that is far from the continents, far from the conflicts, far from all the other problems for humans, wolves, and dogs. Sure there were dragons and many other deadly creatures on the island but through power and intellect, humans rose above the chaos, and shortly afterward wolves and dogs rose above as well. Humans, wolves, and dogs live life in harmony now, but not a few years ago.

Not too long ago, the human royal family was murdered by wolves because the king was unfair and would genocide the wolf tribes whenever he got an excuse. It was a cause that had an effect that started a deadly war on the peaceful island. Humans against the wolves.

Dogs tried to say out of the conflict but it only got worse when the humans "accidentally" killed their own in what the dogs and wolves call the Valik Massacre, for it did happen on one of the twin volcanoes that now were extinct from the formation of the island. The Valik Massacre spared no one. Pups, females, and males were all murdered in the hands of the humans, and for what, revenge? Dogs did nothing to deserve it.

That was all it took to make what an island that was known for its peace, break into civil war. Humans blame the wolves for they killed their king while the wolves blame the king's poor choices and genocide against them. The dogs fought for the wolves for they lost their own due to the humans.

The war lasted for several years Dogs and wolves were wary of each other but fought together and sometimes would fight each other over minor disputes. It was only when a German Shepherd named Chief, son of one of the Blacksmiths on the dogs' side, met a wolf named Rose, daughter of one of the tribes' leaders. They came together and their families became good friends and Chief and Rose loved each other. That love brought the Dogs and Wolves to a fully-fledged alliance for they realized they are one and the Canine Alliance was formed to unite all the wolf tribes and dogs to one faction.

But in every conflict, there would be a tragedy, but also discovery. When the humans were bound to attack the newly forged alliance between the dogs and wolves in the northern side of the island, most of the wooden ships of the humans never made it. The ships were attacked by Sirens, Sea Serpents, and the demon of the Ocean the Kraken. The ones who did make it were destroyed immediately by the dogs and wolves using what the humans feared. Dragons. Dragons, Hippogryphs, and Cockatrice were raised, tamed, and then used by the Canine Alliance to defeat the last remains of the human force. Only six of the eight dragons used were only Ice Dragons. The other two were Lightning Dragons and they were ridden in the attack by none other than Chief and Rose.

Chief and Rose were the first of anyone to find one of the rare Lightning Dragon Lair under the ground. They were mining for silver and iron for their Blacksmiths to forge into more tools, weapons, and armor. When they were together on a mining trip they stumbled into multiple Dragon Lairs most of them being Ice Dragons but they did find one Lightning Dragon. When they came back from their trip they assembled parties to kill the dragons so they wouldn't surprise them later when they least expected them. That day six fully grown dragons were killed but in the end, eight eggs were recovered from the dragons. Some of the five Ice Dragons dropped two while the rest dropped one or none. The Lightning Dragon to Chief and Rose's luck dropped two eggs. At the end of the day, the Canine Alliance allowed them to raise and train the dragons to fight on their side. The experiment was successful as well as the others with the Hippogryphs and Cockatrice.

After the humans were destroyed in the Battle of Norwich, the town they attacked in the north. The Canine Alliance discovered more dragons from Fire Dragons to more Ice Dragons and rarely Lightning Dragons. When the eggs hatched they became instantly bonded by the first living thing they see. So for the wolves and dogs who were chosen to become the now-famous first dragon riders, they had to be with the egg when it hatched and train with the dragon until it became of age to fight. The dragons grow fast so when they are of age they are only 70 days old but are at stage three/four. When the dragons become stage five at the age of 100 days, they become powerful creatures and deadly to anyone who their masters deem a threat.

Due to the humans' attack being such a dramatic failure, the remaining humans started to fight each other. Some were willing to surrender to the Canine Alliance while others still supported their dead king in genociding the canines. After a while the humans became weak and the Canine Alliance moved south to the jungle to surround the last human held areas. While they moved to the jungle the wolves and dogs encountered another type of creature that can even speak to them. Amphitheres. Amphitheres are the apex predator of the jungle but welcomed the canines for they two didn't like the humans. The Amphitheres became the scouts for the canines and the alliance's name was changed to fit in the Amphitheres, Dragons, Hippogryphs, and Cockatrice. It was renamed to the True Kingdom of Valicka or the Dresaihan Coalition.

After four years of ongoing conflict, the Dresaihan Coalition thought it was time to end the war once and for all. With help from the humans who joined them, the Amphitheres, and other contacts that told them what the Humans were doing, the True Kingdom of Valicka invaded the human territories in one swift and devastating strike using Fire, Ice, Lightning Dragons, Hippogryphs, Cockatrice, Amphitheres, foot soldiers armed with spears, halberds, battle axes, sabers, etc. Archers armed with bows or crossbows, using the arrows and bolts made by Hydra fangs, Stymphalian Bird feathers, and the bones of dragons. It was a quick victory and the castle was spared from the destruction.

At this point in time, Chief and Rose have become older and responsible leaders in the Dresaihan Coalition. They lead their family and friends to victory and peace. The humans who joined treated Chief and Rose with the utmost respect as well as their dragons Klondike (male) and Arc (female). The Dresaihan Coalition wanted them to become the new king and queen of the Kingdom of Valicka. After refusing many times they took it upon themselves to become the new King and Queen of the new Kingdom of Valicka and rule will honor and respect everyone. The humans who fought against them in the great war were spared and given a second chance at life under the new King and Queen. The Kingdom cheered for their new rulers for they were fair to everyone even to those who didn't deserve it.

To this day, the war on the continent to the east of the island is still going on between other species of dragons that don't resemble the Kingdom of Valicka's dragons at all. Meanwhile, on the continent to the west, it was ruled by other animals. An example being lions. The Kingdom of Valicka does not care, for they are far away from the conflict to the east and the other kingdoms on the eastern continent.

After their own war and Chief and Rose being crowned the first dog king and first wolf queen. The kingdom discovered another mystery of their dragons but took it. For every time the kingdom kills a wild dragon in which there are plenty on the island the dragon will have scales that can be forged into armor making the wearer more resilient to the elemental breath of the dragon it is from. For example, ice dragon scales protect the wearer from ice dragon breath and other ice weapons that are forged from the bones and blood of dragons.

That is not all the Dragonsteel is the most powerful thing the kingdom has at its disposal. The dragon blood and forge must be the same in order to forge the correct Dragonsteel. A fire dragon forge, fire dragon blood, and a fire dragon will produce fire Dragonsteel. The same goes for Lightning and Ice Dragons. Like the scales, the fire Dragonsteel protects the wearer from fire dragon breath and vice versa for ice Dragonsteel. But Lightning Dragonsteel is different though. Not only will protect from Lightning Dragon breath attacks but also from fire and ice having the lightning canceling them out. But armor is not the only thing Dragonsteel is limited to. Dragonsteel can be forged into weapons like a halberd or saber just to name a few but can also be used to make Dragonsteel reinforced bows and crossbows and Dragonsteel tipped arrows and bolts.

The king, queen, their top generals, and the Royal Guard Divisions are the only ones who can wear the Lightning Dragonsteel Armor and welded the Lightning Dragonsteel Weapons.

King Chief and Queen Rose now have to rule over the kingdom but also have a child of their own to pass down the duties of king or queen. That has now become a reality to the good royals.
