Well, XD If you know me then your first thought is probably (Stop making stories and go update the rest) Hey it's just that these guys(discord friends) came up with some wild ideas and... I agreed to them I mean, this is pretty much based off of virtual reality manhua and such. It's going to be filled with humor, fantasy and worst of all grammatical errors. (There so hard to spot sometimes) So if you read similar genres then this should be fine with you.

Geez, enjoy the story.
It was a slow day in Royal Woods, the sun was pitched high above the clouds however, the temperature seemed to be moderate, it was a saturday, a weekend, why was the place so... quiet? Perhaps they were not at home?
"This stinks! I can't believe they left us behind! I know the straws was a fair draw but I didn't think they were serious about it! It was a setup! Don't you think it's suspicious that the person I ended up with happened to be you?
"Actually I volunteered to stay behind and you got the short end of the stick what's so bad about that? It's not like you enjoy going to pageants do you?" The family had been pushing back preparations for Lola's 'Little Miss Winter Pageant' as the name suggests, the theme and dressing was all about winter, despite it being somewhere in the middle of year. Their last minute preparations concluded with a shortage of two tickets and that was the last reseller, and only because his family had to abruptly leave for hawaii due to the death of a close relative. Seeing that two persons had to remain, they drew sticks and sure enough Lynn and Luna got the short ends of it. Knowing that Luna was Lincoln's favourite sister, he volunteered to stay without notifying Lynn since it would only lead to more problems.
"Not really, but anything's better than this i'm gonna die of boredom."
"Nice! Two Perfect Rounds! I'd like to see if anyone wants to fight me now!" Lincoln was playing his favourite 2D combat based game, Muscle Fish. He had been practicing vigorously by himself to enhance his skills, to him this was a talent, something that he was good at but why couldn't everyone else see that? Lynn did not take heed of anything he was doing, after all in her eyes it was just pointless what was this teaching you? To become lazy and overweight would been an acceptable answer if she really needed one. Boredom returned once again infiltrating her mind, this time she needed to keep herself busy.
"Hey Lincoln let's play catch."
"No thanks i'm fine."
"I didn't ask you that, I said let's play catch." Lynn always had a short temper and patience sometimes just wasn't her thing. In her left hand rested a baseball, she threw the ball upwards and surely enough it bounced right off of Lincoln's head.
"Ouch."
"Come on throw." To think that she didn't even apologize to him, besides that Lincoln was too immersed in his game to pay any notice towards it so instead, he picked up the ball and lazily threw it to her. Though the world cannot explain this situation, Lynn dropped the catch... Such a silly mistake led to a series of events which began with the athlete stepping backwards in surprise and slipping on the ball and inevitably colliding the back of her head with the floor. Time seemed to stand still for this moment, Lincoln knew such a thing couldn't have knocked her out like that so the reason she was still quiet must have been...
"Oh... Your aim was to humiliate me all along huh? I can't have anyone knowing about this... Seems like you have to do some 'forgetting' no?"
"Lynn. I swear, it was an accident..."
"Please stay seated while I prepare to send you to Royal Woods hospital." As Lynn slowly picked up herself from the floor, the boy made a straight dash to the front door. His panicked state wasted some precious seconds that he could've used to be down the street by now. As he bolted outside while stealing quick glances to see if she was still on the chase and sure enough she running behind him a crazed smile.
"Wait! Calm Down! Aren't you my sister!?"
"I'll know if that's true when I see you in the Hospital!"
"Dang it." The chase had been going on for a while now and Lynn still seemed to be full of energy, however she should've been faster than Lincoln no? Was she holding back even after all that? As the boy kept up his pace, his body was tiring endlessly, his legs wanted to give out and his breathing was intense, maybe Lynn was right about those video games. Making another turn to the street Lincoln realized that he had ran around the block about 3 times! How was she not tired when he was technically half dead!? His head was beginning to spin, his consciousness was slowly fading, no! He needed to preserve through this ordeal! After all he could hide in the bathroom until this all blew over right? Yes in fact his house was nearby, all he needed to do was-
"WAIT LINCOLN DON'T CROSS THE ROAD!"
Sadly his awareness was nowhere enough to process the warning and his dear sister tried, but in vain.
In a matter of moments Lynn tried to grab her brother's shirt, missed by a few inches leaving Lincoln to collide in the side of a Ice cream van. The sheer momentum of the vehicle spun him around in circles while bending his hand in quick flash, blood flew out from his wrist but the worst of it came without rest, the back wheel of the vehicle ran over his left foot, horrible sounds erected from him and shortly after, he fainted.
-3 days later-
Ever since Lincoln's unexpected injury Lynn Sr. and Rita had been keeping close watch at him whenever he even left the room. They wanted to greatly punish their daughter who they dared to left behind with their timid, weak son. however Lincoln went down on his knees despite the pain he was feeling and begged on his sister's behalf, in the end she went off with a light punishment of being her brother's personal caretaker and friendly assistant or in better terms... Slave until he had fully recovered.
Due to his Injury Lincoln was unable to attend any sort of educational facilities since the doctor explained that their son could possibly have some trauma and not to mention difficulty even attending them which the family knew wouldn't be the case but hey, doctor's orders. If only they knew the deal Lincoln made with his new friend.
"Anything thing else you want bro?" Lynn looked happy to be here despite it being a punishment of some sort.
"No thanks. Im fine, just gonna try out the new equipment I bought."
"Where did you get that thing again? Well... Never mind I should stay out of your business for once, oh and thanks for saving me back there."
"Don't mention it, it's my duty anyway." The girl flashed a warm smile at him and proceeded to leave the room.
(Now he's talking to you, the readers, say hi won't ya?)
"Oh hey guys! You're probably wondering why I'm in this state. It's because I had an incident involving a truck and my... Well it wasn't all that serious as you can see I'm fine, the doctor told my parents that it's probably for the best that I don't attend school for now, I understand his intentions but I kinda miss my friends already so I'm just trying this game out for his goodwill at least. It's strange though, I never saw someone like him working at the hospital before."
"LINCOLN WOULD YOU PLE- Tone it down for a bit thank you." Ah the blackmailer has retreated from battle. What is the meaning of this new given mercy!?
"Sorry! I'll try to." 'Note to self, don't discuss secrets openly anymore' Lincoln held his crutches under his arm and walked over to the stand black capsule, it's appearance was shining silver that radiated the moon's beauty. A comfortable bed stretched on it's insides. He climbed inside the device taking caution not to cause himself more pain than he already had. "Uh I guess I put this weird helmet on and press this blue button?" Laying down comfortably he held down on the presumed power button, it was then a strange sensation came over him and he felt extremely tired, however he was jolted awake in a matter of seconds and full of energy how strange was this? What was this equipment really about?"

The last few words of the system was followed by a blinding light and before Lincoln could even properly address the situation, he found himself in a completely different environment.
"Damn. I Can. Walk. No pain no bandages, wait a minute, the characters weren't customizable? So I must probably look like... So much for hiding my name and Identity." Lincoln stood up on his feet, he had to hand to it to these guys, this was amazing! to think that they could literally create a whole new world out of games? His movement felt normal no differences compared to reality, as he looked around his surroundings he saw a wooden sign near the entrance that read 'Grey Hiem Town' The first thing to do would be to find another person and ask for advice. However as he neared the gate a barrage of information appeared beside him.

"Well that's certainly Interesting... What If I Lose My Limbs?"
[Lost Body Parts can be regenerated upon death or advanced healing properties.]
"Advanced Healing? Wasn't this game released recently? Where would I be able to get advanced healing from."
[Several High Priests At The Church Possess This Ability, However None Has Been Able To Receive Healing From The Respective Priests]
"That must mean that it's difficult to receive it? What are they greedy or something? Whatever I need to get some kind of equipment." As Lincoln entered the village he could see it's inhabitants as well as other players. The NPCs appearance was quite lifelike and was hard to tell apart from real players. In fact the only reason he knew that some of them were real players, was due to the fact that they all had the same beginner's equipment. He came upon a group of people with different weapons, however they seemed to be sulking over in their corners.
"Uh, Greetings, I'm new here so I was wondering if I could get some advice?" The groups of young adults focused their attention on him, they seemed to be trying to tell the difference him and something else, a bald man who seemed to be in his 30s was the first to break the silence.
"Uh NPCs this young can become adventures as well?"
"I don't know... Maybe this is an event?"
"That's not possible, the game was only released a week ago."
"So how did an NPC get to be an adventured this young? Maybe it's a quest to return a lost kid or something of the sort." Besides the bald muscular man with slightly better equipment than everybody else, everyone in the group was somewhere at their early adulthood. With this reaction Lincoln could safely assume that a game like this was probably above his age rating.
"I'm sorry you misunderstand but I'm a player as well, I just started and I don't know much about this game." The groups exchanged glances among themselves before the bald man stepped out of line.
"I'll catch up with you guys, gotta help the new players after all." Patting Lincoln on the back the man proceeded to walk further down the village with Lincoln by his side.
"The name's Ethan, and yours?"
"Shadow."
"That's Ironic."
"I know, the system subtracted my reputation because of it."
"Oh? How much?
"100 points."
"Congratulations, you're now a suspicious individual, the guards should be keeping watch after you've reached level 15."
"What? Over a bad joke? Surely Luan wouldn't survive here." Ethan gave the boy confused looks but decided not to pry into his personal life.
"Well since you don't know much then I should continue with the basic information. There are 12 continents in this reality. When your character is created it will ask you to choose between 4 of them. All the choices spawn the player in a major city with guild halls, housing schemes if you practically live in this game, training fields, markets and such, but not this one, since you chose to spawn on this continent then you'll quit this game before the end of the week."
"By that you can't mean?"
"Yes the continent we're in right now, Vekordaas."
"Why is it so difficult?"
"The city is said to be recently discovered by those power levelers but the worst part is that the continent is one of the major, monster populated areas and for some reason there are strange creatures with no specific fighting patterns, it's all random and the NPCs don't even give details to their quest."
"Sounds difficult but doesn't that make games more fun?" This made Ethan ponder to himself,
'Ho? so you're that kind of player? Maybe you'll stick around longer than the others.' There was something that he saw in the white haired, fully decked white beginner clothes, 'Shadow' maybe he was going to take a high position when the ranking system gets released.
"Well I don't want my allies to leave me behind so this is where we part kiddo."
"Wait where do I get a weapon? Shouldn't the System be telling me these things?"
"Don't forget what continent you're in, head to the forest at the end of the village, a quest will be triggered for beginners, if you survive the rewards will be worth it, if you die which you probably will. You still gain either way. There should be something in your Inventory, just say the word and it'll pop up. I'll send you a friend request, so we can chat if there is anything else that you should know. Later 'shadow'' Ethan purposely dragged out the letters and it really doesn't take a genius to wonder why."
"Well thanks anyway..." Lincoln watched as the silhouette of his companion slipped through the crowd of villagers on the dusty road, he got what he needed to know for now, it was time to start his first quest but maybe he did have something that could help him?
"Uh How do I... System open my Inventory?"
[Is that a question or a statement?]
"... Open my Inventory please." As requested a blue panel materialized revealing to him slots and spaces for equipment. In the box at the top left contained the only item in his inventory, a wooden stick. It did not even resemble a weapon in the slightest, no matter how one looked at it, this was no better than using a tree branch.
"Item description? Maybe I should press this"

"10 Intelligence? Why is my Mana higher than my health? Is this normal? Meh it probably is. Well let's go grind some levels!" Lincoln sprinted along the street gaining worrisome glances and stares from the busybodies in the market.
"What a poor child! Where are his parents?"
"He looks to young to be an Adventurer!"
"May the Gods Bless his poor soul."
After a few minutes of sprinting Lincoln took a short breath and resorted to simple walking. "This is odd, shouldn't there be some kind of quest giver nearby?" Lincoln firmly gripped his weapon and cautiously steered himself ahead. When a message from the system caught his attention.

"Wait what? So fast! But what if I didn't want to accept the mission!?" The Forest was quite a dark and moist area, the temperature was rumored to drop abnormally and freeze it's inhabitants to death. Visibility was poor due to the enormous, scary looking trees and Lincoln was sure that something was waiting for him behind one of them. There was a rustling in the bushes surrounding him followed by a horrible, rotting stench in the atmosphere. Shadow patiently awaited the for the monster to rush out on him, however a decaying corpse slowly trudged itself towards him, it's left arm was hanging at it's side, the monster did not seem to have eyes yet pinpointed his location perfectly. As Lincoln fixed his gaze unto it the system made an appearance.

"S-S-So What is this a Zombie?... What's up with it health!? 25!? That's higher than mine!"..."
As the monster made its way towards Lincoln, It began to increase it's movement speed, yelling and screaming in the process.
"Shut it! It's already creepy here as it is!"
Lincoln swung the staff as hard as he could, the rear end of the staff collided with the creature's torso, knocking it to the side.
[You Have Dealt 1 Damage]
"As expected. I must take this chance!' The white haired child wasted no time and rushed to close the distance between them and finish the monster while he had the chance, the corpse launched itself at him only to receive a blow to the skull, not giving the creature any time to recover, Lincoln swung trying to hit the monster in every direction."

After receiving a series of blows, the undead creature rose up and swung it's dangling arms at Lincoln, he quickly leaped backwards, avoiding the encounter. Such an attack had no great force behind it but it was better to be safe than sorry. The creature scrambled to it's feet and leapt at him once again, pinning the boy to the floor. Besides it's horrible stench, Lincoln found it hard to fight against it's strength, after all, his body was small in comparison to the adult undead.

"What!? Don't break! Don't break! Don't break!"
Struggling to escape the hold, Lincoln rammed his forehead into the monster and launched him off a few meters with his right leg. Alas, unable to experience any sort of pain or shock, Lincoln finally understood why this place was unfavourable to many, there was no attack patterns! For a moment everything went completely out of character for the undead being as it jumped high into the air, leaning it's body mass forward, it brought down it's right leg directly above the boy who held unto the wooden weapon for his life.
*Crack!

As the Monster tore it's way through the rod, Lincoln delivered the hardest punch he could do by throwing himself forward and swinging a right.

If adrenaline was also part of the virtual world then surely enough it was in effect, Lincoln elbowed the monster in it's face then rammed it against a nearby tree, a old dried branch pierced the stomach of the monster leaving him nailed helpless and unable to move.
