It was a normal day in the base, most of the member's were just in their rooms resting, or in the entertainment room doing something.

It was a slow day as some of the members were off in fields work while the others were just in theirs rooms.

Today the four doki girls were together in Monika's room just hanging out, talking to each other, just catching up with each other.

Monika was sitting in her bed, sitting right next to sayori. The other two were in chairs sitting some distance from each other.

Monika was wearing a white t shirt with a pink logo on it, with pink pj pants with white dots over it.

Sayori was wearing her usual casual wear but with bed wear shorts that is orange.

Yuri was wearing a light blue shirt with a long cozy black pants.

And natsuki was wearing her white shirt with pink sleeves and the cat face on her left chest, and a blue short pants.

They were catching up with what they were doing, monika explain that things were hectic when they were dealing with a second team they just got over with.

Sayori said that things were just boring at her home, no one really to talk to beside her family.

Yuri can agreed, she been keeping up with natsuki and simon. She hasn't been to any field works recently, let alone any trouble with other worlds. She mostly been with simon, trying to get closer to him. So far it's been steady.

Natsuki was staying home with her father, just been doing well, nothing really interesting has happened.

The girls then discuss on what they should do now.

Monika was the first to talk: "So girls, what do you think we should do together?"

They all were in deep thought for a second as natsuki spoke up: "i don't know, anything's good I guess."

She cross her arms while looking unsure, the other two were unsure also, monika suggest: "How about we watch something in the entertainment room? Their might be something interesting to watch?"

Natsuki objects: "I don't think so, the last time I remember you should us some weird and sometimes scary videos. Not this time."

The girls look at her as yuri said: "I have to agree, some of the videos you shown us were scary."

She smile nervously near the end while looking away. Monika was a little upset while sayori said: "well, we can find something to do. How about we do something together?"

She said trying to be positive, natsuki said: "yeah, and what's that?"

She said question, as sayori looking unsure said: "umm..."

She was in thought as monika said: "how about we play some games?"

Sayori lighten up like a kid and said: "ooh! Yeah! Let's play a game!"

Natsuki said: "what kind of game?"

Yuri said: "If I may, it may sound like an old thing but what about a board game?"

Natsuki look at her somewhat perplex and said: "A board game? Really? Do you really think we brought a board game?"

Yuri looking a little timid and said: "W-well, I thought that this base has a board game."

Monika reply: "Well maybe it does, we could look around, or we can go back to our world to get one."

Natsuki looking unplease while sayori said: "a board game does sound fun."

Natsuki add her comment: "Well I think is boring, why play a board game if we could play a video game?"

Yuri said: "Natsuki, their's nothing wrong with just playing a board game with each other."

She basically lecture her as natsuki look at her upset and said: "hey! I know, is just i prefer to play a game over a board game. Beside, what's wrong with a little challenge? I could beat you in a competitive game."

She smile near the end as yuri see that as a challenge and said: "is that a challenge?"

"You bet."

The two now staring at each other nearly too close as sayori seeing spark flying as she said: "ooh, their seem to be tension going on."

She said getting into this as monika was okay with this but can't help but feel this might turn sour later on. She said: "Well that sounds cool, but how about we do that last. How about we travel to stretch our legs?"

The two were looking at monika unpleasant as natsuki and yuri said: "no."

Monika was wondering what said did wrong and felt sad, sayori try to make it up to her saying: "I think monika is trying to say we should prepare ourselves, i think the entertainment room is full as it is."

Both natsuki and yuri said: "what?"

Yuri said: "it can't be."

Sayori now looking unsure and said: "well, I think so."

Natsuki got up and said: "let's check it out!"

Yuri then follow suit being a little fire up: "yeah!"

Natsuki went off to the door with yuri following behind. Monika and sayori look at each other just for a split second and then sigh softly and followed.

They head down the hall which was a short walk as natsuki was in the lead, she open the door and looked inside and sees five people in the room.

Sebastian was on the left side sitting right next to david, who was right next to aya. They were watching a movie with two others, heather was near the bar as filia was sitting behind aya on a chair watching with.

Natsuki was displease as she close the door, she turn back to them looking at her waiting for what she's going to say.

"Is pack in there."

Yuri look unhappy about that but also look disappointed. Monika understand while sayori was unsure about this, monika said: "well, so much for that."

Yuri said: "what are we going to do now?"

Natsuki was not giving up and said: "forget it, we don't need to play in this room, let's play back at our place."

Monika was not expecting this and said: "What?"

Sayori was unsure also as yuri said: "you know that doesn't sound so bad, but which house?"

Natsuki was unsure saying: "Uhh..."

Monika said: "how about my place?"

"Are you sure?" Sayori said concerned.

"Yes! I'm certain, my parents would love if you guys come."

Monika said positive, the girls were thinking about it but natsuki said: "sure fine, I might bright my games when were there."

"Alright! If there's no objections then let's go."

Monika said as they turn around and head off to the portal room. They were inside the large portal room as monika went to the control panel and start hitting the coordinates as suddenly sparks fly out as monika was shock from that and back off while protecting herself.

The portal open as it let out a ominous aural as the girls were shock and slightly frightened as natsuki said: "what's going on!?"

Monika block the lights with her hands while saying: "i don't know! The panel just shoot sparks suddenly!"

Suddenly they were starting to be pull into the portal as natsuki and yuri starting to panic as they yell, sayori was starting to join but she was the first to be pull in.

Monika yell out: "Sayori!!"

The girls were trying to not be pull in while they were on the ground as natsuki fell right in as yuri was now slowly being pulled in. Yuri yell out to monika while leading her hand out to her: "Monika!!"

Monika was not in her reach as she try to reach but yuri now went in the portal. She was feeling sorrow as she knows she can't get away, she faintly heard a voice and look back barely seeing anyone she knows.

Monika lose her grip and fly right into the portal, not even managed to let out a scream and saw nothing but white as it fade to black, indicating she blacked out.

"Ugghh..."

Monika moarns displease, her sight slightly getting clearer as she soon realize her surroundings.

"What...?"

Monika said realizing where she is, she was in a dark, brick room that was pretty large. It has torches light up on each wall going down. She was on laying her left side and got up then realize something else that wasn't right.

"what, the...?"

When monika was standing up she saw her clothes were different, she wasn't wearing her home wear but was wearing overalls and a green long sleeve shirt.

"what the hell?"

She started to inspect her uniform, she pull on the strap and realize she's also wearing white gloves that were more female gloves than males.

She was also wearing brown shoes too. Monika was word less and couldn't believe she's wearing a uniform that the only person she knows who wear this is, mario.

When she came to that conclusion her heart sank a little, she then noticed that she was wearing a hat also. She took it off seeing it being green as well, it has a single letter on front of the hat that was M.

"oh my go--"

Monika was just in disbelief, she must be in mario's world, what else is that her friends are missing as she put her cap back on then said: "i need to find the others and get back to the base."

She regain her composure and move on, she actually wasn't far from the light near the end as she got closer and was soon in the light as it blind her for a second.

Monika lower her hand away from the light and see trees and all the other nature life like around her. She didn't get enough chance to look around because she saw what she presume was sayori on the ground. She figured that's sayori due to her hair.

Monika was pretty surprise to see her laying on the ground on her face as she quickly head to her saying her name.

"sayori!"

She then got down on her knee and lean her hand in her but then heard a displeased moarn but muffle. Sayori moved on the ground a little as she turn her head to her left a bit and start spitting out grass and dirt out of her mouth, well to her concerns at least.

Monika said concerned: "sayori...?"

Sayori mufflers noises as she push herself up a bit but not off the ground yet. Sayori seemed a little shaken up, but she have a reason too.

As she regain her composure she look at monika and saw her uniform. Sayori was surprised to see her wearing that then question: "monika, w-why are you wearing overalls?"

Monika slightly glance at hers then back to her and said: "i could say the same thing to you too."

Sayori was pretty perplex as she expressed her confusion and look at her lower half, even know she's not standing.

She look at herself then quickly got up and saw she's wearing overalls too, just that her shirt was red.

She quickly inspect her uniform and yell: "Whaah!?"

Sayori was in disbelief and look at monika and said: "Monika what's going on!?"

Monika nearly lost her words but managed to say: "w-well uhh, i'm not exactly sure but i think is obvious."

Monika was not looking at sayori shortly after as sayori look at hers then Monika then realize what she meant: "wait, are you saying we're in mario's world?"

"apparently."

Monika said not liking this, sayori was unsure as well as she was thinking all about this then said: "w-wait, if we're in mario's universe then why are we in their uniform?"

Monika stares at her blankly then blink and said: "i don't know, but something isn't right."

She looked away now thinking about this, sayori was left to interpret as well as she move her foot on the ground to have the weel turn in her head.

She then realize something and said: "Monika! Where's yuri and natsuki?"

She said concerned as monika was in thought for a second then look around but saw no one else. She look at sayori and said: "i don't know, we're probably separated for now."

"oooh..."

Sayori said concerned, monika change her expression a bit and said: "sayori, we need to move, we need to find the other two."

"you're right!"

Sayori said now on board as monika lighten up a little and said: "alright, let's get moving then."

"yeah!"

Sayori hop with joy while turning around as she look back at monika and said: "um, monika, can i lead?"

Monika tilt her head a bit and said: "hm? Why?"

Sayori smile a bit childish and said: "well, since I'm wearing red, does that means i'm mario?"

Monika was slient for a second then realize what she meant: "Oooh, that what you mean."

Monika look at her hat and see the letter that said S.

"y-yeah, and since i think you're luigi, does that means you're my 'sister?'"

Monika was sorta shocked to hear that but find it funny, she always view sayori at times like a sister she never has.

"haha, i guess so."

She said looking a bit embarrassed, sayori said: "ehe, so i can lead?"

Monika look at her a little tensions but said: "sure, but we're sticking together."

"okay!"

She said greatful as she turn forward and said: "follow me!"

She hop forward with excitement and move on as monika follow behind.

They walk for while as they look around the forest. The forest wasn't too surrounding, they were in the opening in a wide path.

They move on wondering how long this forest goes, they both weren't keeping track on how long they were moving.

Soon sayori see an open path as sayori yell: "look! Is the end!"

Sayori pick up the pace as monika follow behind a bit nervous for sayori safety: "hey, slow down!"

They were in the open, now out of the forest as it was a large open fields with occasional bushes and trees in the mix.

They were on a dirt path as the first thing they saw on the path was blocks floating above them.

Sayori beamed happily since she knows what to do, she chuckle childishly and head below the blocks.

Monika saw them above just unsure for a moment then saw sayori heading underneath them. Monika knew she would try to break those blocks.

"I'm gonna jump and break them!"

Sayori said confident, as monika smirk humorous as she stay back and watch as sayori jumped to hit the blocks.

She jump but she didn't reach it, she was a couple of inches away. She only leap nearly three feet off the ground.

Sayori jumped multiple times as she muffle noises while trying to reach.

She breathe getting exhausted from jumping multiple times as monika figure she couldn't make it. Sayori complained: "ergh, I can't reach it."

She look up seeing the blocks as one of them were a mystery block in the middle as monika approach a bit and said: "well, we really don't need to break those blocks sayori, let's just leave."

Sayori look over her shoulder slightly a bit grumpy then said: "I-i can do it!"

She said as she bend down and jump, at first she couldn't reach still until she bent down and jump as high as she can and managed to break the first block in front of them.

Sayori smile brightly as she break the block, monika was quite surprise to see she actually did it.

"Haha, you see that!? I did it!"

She turn to her and pointed at it. Monika smile friendly as sayori turn back and then did the same thing to the mystery block and hit it.

The block shoot out a mushroom as it flew out a feet away and fell on the ground.

They both saw it as sayori still smiling wide as she quickly approach the mushroom. Monika was really skeptical about that mushroom as sayori grab it and said: "Look monika, is a mushroom!"

She turn to her showing her it, monika approach her looking unsure as sayori look at the mushroom in wonder.

"uh..."

Monika mumble auditable as sayori said: "you think I should eat it?"

Monika look at her concerned and said: "no, I don't think so."

Sayori look at her slightly confused and said: "Huh, why?"

"well..."

Monika look away and said: "I'm not sure, is just I don't trust it, I mean we're not really mario and luigi so i don't think we'll have the same effects like they do."

Sayori bink blankly then said: "so you saying that I won't grow big?"

"no."

"ohh..."

Sayori lower her arms looking disappointed as monika said: "is alright though, at least you know how to reach those blocks."

Sayori look at her still sad and said: "yeah..."

She drop the mushroom then change her mood a bit then said: "well, I guess we should get moving."

"right."

Monika agreeing as they move forward and head down the path.

They move on for a couple of seconds until they saw a Goomba walking as sayori was pretty surprise to see it in person. This was her first time seeing any of the mario characters as she got a bit excited and said: "haah! A Goomba!"

She quickly ran to it and bend her knees to get a better look at it. The Goomba was slowly approaching her as monika head behind her as she inspect this, sayori stand up and said: "I'm gonna step on it!"

"what!?"

Monika yell surprised, ironic the Goomba heard it and stop in surprise as sayori ran up to it as monika plead: "w-wait, sayori!"

Sayori didn't listen as she jumped and aim right at the Goomba. The poor shoom didn't even get the chance to turn around and head off, not that it could get away anyway.

Sayori landed on the Goomba as a squash and something crunch happened, both of the girls were shock as sayori immediately get off as they look down and see the goomba squish.

Sayori started to panic and said: "aaah! Oh my gosh I killed that Goomba, I didn't know it will be like that!"

Sayori moving around as monika was about to speak until suddenly the Goomba disappeared in smoke.

"what...?"

Monika said seeing it disappeared, sayori notice it too as her panicked expression calmed a bit as she said: "what? Where did it go?"

Sayori started to look around a bit as monika said: "i'm not sure, but that seemed suspicious."

Sayori didn't got the memo but said: "well, i guess is fine, come on, let's get moving!"

Sayori look back at her then move on as monika follow still in thought about that.

They ran for a couple of seconds until they were reaching a large terrain hole that goes far off each side. Sayori inspect the large drop as she said: "that's a long way down."

"it sure is."

Monika agreeing as they see three blocks floating in air that will have them across the drop.

Sayori was a bit apprehensive but gained some courage and prepared herself and jumped. Monika didn't realize that sayori was gonna jump until she said: "Sayori I hope--"

Sayori jump on top of the blocks, they were straight and weren't much room for her to stand on. Monika saw her jumped as she was surprised to see that and said: "sayori!"

Sayori balance herself which was quite a struggle but she managed to regain balance and said: "Whoa, that was close."

Monika was still worried for her as sayori then prepared and jump across and land back on the ground as she turn around smiling.

"ha, your turn!"

Sayori wave to her as monika stares blankly then blink and look at the blocks as she actually can't believe sayori's bravery. She prepare herself and jump on the block, more prepared then her.

Monika then jump across and was next to sayori as they smile at each other as sayori said: "great job mons, let's go."

She head off as monika quickly followed suit.

They head up a steep hill as their was a large amount of blocks stack on top of each other and two row of blocks floating in air.

Sayori jump on the blocks and jump on top of the floating blocks. Monika was on the blocks on the ground as monika wonder how they're floating but again she did jump on those blocks before.

Sayori quickly got off and head down the hill, monika follow behind as they were approaching a large turtle, it was yellow with a green turtle shell as it slowly approach them. Sayori didn't hesitate and jump on top of it as she landed on it as it went into is shell.

Monika went up to it and grab the shell, oddly enough it wasn't so heavy. Sayori quickly run off as they were getting close to a long flag poll as sayori smile brightly and turn to monika and said: "look monika!"

She point at the flag: "We're getting close to the flag poll!"

Monika smile amuse by sayori cheerfulness. As sayori turn around and move on. Monika follow behind as they head down a slope as sayori and monika see three goombas in a ditch.

Sayori jump on one of them as monika took her chance and throw the turtle shell at them as sayori was in front of it as the shell smack them both and hit the wall. It head back to her as she jump over it, the shell hit the wall behind as monika quickly yelled out: "Sayori--!"

Sayori was aware of the shell coming back, she quickly jumped over it, but when she did she jumped higher then she did before.

Monika was surprised and was awe by that, sayori was the same as well as she wasn't in the ditch as she turn around and said: "did you see that!?"

"i did!"

Monika quickly reply as sayori disbelief turn to excitement.

"i think I'm approving!"

Monika wasn't sure about that, sayori look back as the flag wasn't far as she turn back and said: "come on! We're almost there!"

"uhh..."

Monika trying to wrap her head around this but figure she will figure this out later on.

She see the turtle shell still hitting the walls as she time it right and jump on the shell as it stop going as she move on.

They run for a couple of seconds until they reach a large brick stairway to the top as sayori was at the top as monika was right next to her as sayori look at her and said: "I'm gonna reach the top!"

Sayori turn back and jump on the flag poll, monika look at her jump on it but she was not at the end of the poll but was close.

Sayori was a little unhappy about that and said: "awww, I mess!"

Sayori hold on to it as she slide down slowly, as she slide down the poll it made a loud squeaking noise. Monika watch and find this humorous as sayori was near the ground as she loosen her grip and fell on her behind.

"gahh! That hurts."

As she was on the ground, the flag slide down as monika got down as sayori got up. Sayori quickly changed her mood as she smile as the flag flew up the poll now having a mushroom symbol on it. Sayori said: "i think we finish this level."

Sayori look at monika as she seemed a bit unsure and said: "i, guess so."

"well, let's get moving, I wonder if the other two are fine."

Sayori said getting concerned for the others as monika was now worried as well and said: "yeah, me too."

They head off down the path to wherever they're going.
