Now You See Me

hello everyone...I have posted here before on my other account which is under momothenono...I can't remember the email, so I had to make a new account...this is my first attempt at SNARRY that isn't a one shot...please be as kind as you can :)

also, Now You See Me is actually the title of a movie..the title seemed to fit the fic is all...

pairings: Snarry, Remus/Sirius

Chapter 1

Severus sat at the main table in the Great Hall, eating his dinner. All around him all he could hear was the sound of the students and fellow staff members talking to one another. As he continued to eat, he noticed a slight commotion at the Gryffindor table. He set his fork down as gently as possible in his annoyance. He nearly rolled his eyes as he groaned as he realized who had caused the sound. Harry Potter, son of his once rival James, was now starting his final year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and Severus could not have been happier. He would finally be rid of that Potter child. Severus took a sip of wine. Potter wasn't a child anymore. He had defeated the dark lord and even had saved Severus' life. Severus sighed and began eating again. The only difference between this school year with Potter and any other was that Dumbledore was forcing Severus to take on Potter as a teaching assistant. He, however, wouldn't be the only one Potter would be assisting. Lupin was once again the Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potter would be assisting him as well. Severus chuckled slightly to himself. Lupin and Potter would have no issue together. Lupin had been friends with Potter's father. Severus could feel his blood boil at the thought of James. Everything James and his friends had ever done to him could never be erased from his mind. He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't realize someone was tapping his shoulder. He looked over and saw Remus Lupin standing next to him.

"Dinner is almost over Severus. Are we still meeting after?"

Severus nodded, but his face was still as serious as usual.

"If you are my friend as you have claimed numerous times since we survived the war, do not bring Potter."

Remus chuckled, knowing that even though the words coming from his friend were sour toward Harry, that Severus truly cared for him.

" You have my word Severus. No Harry."

Severus finished the potion for Remus and sat at his desk, waiting on his arrival. He hoped he would stick to his word and not bring Potter with him. Potter seemed to follow Lupin everywhere and even if it seemed Potter was nowhere in sight, he was still lurking somewhere nearby to watch after his friend. Severus shook his head. There had been a rumor that Potter secretly longed for Lupin, but it was just that, a rumor. Severus shook his head again just as there was a knock at the door.

" Come in Lupin."

The door opened and sure enough, there he stood. He approached Severus' desk.

" Is it done?"

Severus nodded and handed him the potion.

"Remember to take it tomorrow before the moon rises."

Remus nodded and put the potion in his jacket pocket. He was about to thank Severus when he heard a soft sneeze. Severus stood up from his desk and looked at Remus who just shrugged. They looked around the room and saw nothing. Remus shook his head.

"Harry, we know you're here."

Severus' eyes narrowed as suddenly there was a slight movement and Harry Potter appeared. Harry looked from one professor to the other.

"I'm sorry Professors. I just meant to…"

"What Potter? What is it you MEANT to do?"

Severus realized he sounded harsh, but he didn't care. Out of all the things Potter had ever done, intruding in his space had to be the worst. He watched as Harry struggled to answer. Finally, Harry looked at Severus.

" I just meant to see if he was getting his potion from you Professor."

Severus almost rolled his eyes. He was too annoyed to deal with what was going on. He and Lupin quickly said their goodbyes and Remus left with Harry behind him. Severus opened a bottle of wine and poured himself a glass. He sat at his desk once more and took a sip. This was going to be a long year.
