Re:Slime
Takes place right after Rimuru is named by Veldora; meaning he has a name, but his only skills are Predator, Great Sage, Magic Sense, and the others he got before this event. However, I'm going to give him his human mimic so he has a body. Overall, I think his threat level at this point would sit around upper B or low A, so I'll try to translate that to Re:Zero's strength standards.
In regards to Witch Factors and Authorities, I think I'll translate it as at the level of a unique skill like Rimuru's own gluttony skill; which possesses a lot of abilities that are very strong, just not on the level of an ultimate because of the drawbacks. Because of this, I'll make it so 'Return by Death' is something he can analyze, but because it's such a powerful authority that entails basically time control, I'm going to call it an ultimate. Because it's an ultimate, Rimuru can't take it as his own without getting way too OP. However, the authority will linger around him. Basically, it comes down to how OP these authorities and divine protections can be in relation to my judgement. These are just ideas, if you think some of these rules should be changed, then please let me know.

"Hurry up and break out of that barrier already!"
With that line, Rimuru felt his body expand several times over. His body covered the entire barrier that Veldora was sealed in.
As his body covered the barrier fully, he began to compress; putting everything into predator's stomach. As this happened, Rimuru felt a surge of magicules form around him. Not knowing better, he ignored this, but quickly came about as Great Sage informed him that this was not natural at all.
'Report, outside influence targeting this location'
Rimuru panicked, but ultimately could not put up any resistance against the mana. Rimuru felt the world warp around him with magic sense, and next he knew, he was in what could only be described as an alleyway. Immediately, Rimuru went to check what happened.
'What happened great sage.'
'Location has been changed. Great amounts of magic have been used to move your location to this one.'
'Tell me something I don't know. Is there any immediate threat? Is Veldora ok?
'No immediate threat can be found. Many human and Demi-human beings detected. However, none pose a great threat or currently hold direct hostilities. Barrier and Veldora are safely stored in predator's stomach.
Sighing in relief, Rimuru finally decided to begin moving. He was happy to be near human life, but quickly came to the conclusion that he should stay hidden. He was a slime monster, and just because no one was hostile to him right now, didn't mean no one would attack him upon his discovery.
Sliding back into the alleyway, Rimuru questioned the great sage on any solutions.
'I can't make any progress if I stay here. Is there any way to blend in with the crowd?'
'Report. Upon movement, genetic data in relation to humans was found. It is possible to imitate humans.'
'Immitate? Like a ditto? Well, if it makes me blend in, then I should definitely do it. Imitate a human.'
Rimuru felt his body shape itself into that of a human. His hair was light blue and his eyes were a brilliant golden color. This wasn't a problem as the inhabitants here seemed to have all kinds of hair and eye colors, so his appearance wasn't going to be a problem.
What was going to be a problem was the fact that he had only imitated a human. He had no clothes, and as such, quickly reverted back to slime form.
'I can't blend in without clothes! I only have the herbs and ore to work with, but isn't there some way to make clothes?'
'Report, by processing ore in the stomach into thin threads, it is possible to make clothing that would blend in decently well.'
'Then let's get some so I can get going.'
As Rimuru had great sage make him clothes, he examined his body. Since receiving his name from Veldora, his magicules had skyrocketed. His skills hadn't gotten better or more numerous, but he could use some of his skills much more freely.
He needed a way to defend himself should he get in a fight. While he thought he could use compressed water to send a blade flying at an enemy, it was far too lethal for his liking. If he was going to get in a fight, he would rather run away or have a non-lethal way way to knock out his opponents.
He had great sage make him a basic katana out of some of the ore as a way to intimidate his opponents. He could use the hilt to knock out his opponents if they came at him anyway and if he found he couldn't win, he would flee as fast as he could.
'Creation of items complete. Would you like to mimic a human with items equipped.'
While great sage's wording sounded like something out of an RPG, he said yes and molted once again.
He wanted to make sure he wasn't missing anything, so finally he took a look at himself using magic sense.
He looked awkward in the discolored shirt that was made. Although he wanted something better, he would have to settle for it. Once he looked himself over, he fixed one last issue he had with himself.
"I haven't been hiding my aura at all. Hopefully no one can detect it. Actually, the fact that no one has shown up, is a good sign, but it doesn't hurt to be careful."
Rimuru quickly hid his aura and walked out of the alley he was in.
His surroundings looked like a typical medieval city. As he walked around, he noticed that he was once again able to speak and do everything he could when he was human in addition to having magic sense. On top of that, great sage informed him that he could speak in the same language as the natives because of magic sense. Learning how to read and write the language would have to come later, but he told great sage to begin analyzing the language in hope he could learn it quickly.
As Rimuru walked through the city, he came to the conclusion that he needed an end goal. While his body didn't need sleep or any means of sustenance other that magicules he was fine to survive. That didn't stop him from wanting a house of some sort.
As he kept walking, he came upon an epiphany.
'Great Sage, can I taste stuff again using this body?'
'Notice. Sense of taste is available through human mimic.'
Rimuru burst out into a grin and set his sights on his first goal. However, if he wanted food, he would have to pay for it. Thinking through his options, he decided to head into an alleyway to go though everything.
"I'm going to need money if I want some food, but I'm unwilling to steal. I should also stay on guard. Maybe I was just caught in the crossfire of a spell, but there's gotta be some reason I was put here."
As Rimuru thought to himself, a group of three people came up to him in the alleyway.
"Is there something I can do for you fellows."
Rimuru observed the group. There were three of them, none of which seemed to pose a threat to him, but still better to be cautious. Maybe they were hiding their strength?
"Oh, it looks like this one here's a smart one! Well, nothing to worry about. Just give us everything you've got on you, and there's no need for anyone to get hurt."
Rimuru was confused by this. Why would they rob him? He wasn't holding anything. Maybe he looked like an easy mark because of his small stature?
"Sorry, but I'm flat broke right now. Don't have anything worth anything on me."
"Then we'll have those nice looking clothes of yours."
Rimuru sighed and resigned himself to the situation. There wasn't going to be any getting out of this one. Rimuru thought of one last thing to try before he decided to fight.
Rimuru inhaled and…
"GAURDS. IF THERE ARE ANY GAURDS, I'D LIKE TO REPORT A ROBBERY AT THIS LOCATION."
It had a pretty instant effect.
The trio looked around the alley nervously as if expecting to see someone arrive.
"Wha… What, are you kidding me?! You're really going to start calling for help?! Who does that?!"
"In this sort of situation you're supposed to listen to us if you want to avoid getting hurt! You're just going to ignore us and call for help?! That's not normal!"
"What did you expect me to just hand over everything I own? This is perfectly normal. SOMEONE CALL SOME GAURDS OVER HERE."
As the trio panicked and thought about fleeing, their surroundings quieted down.
"Threatening us like that…I almost got a little bit scared there, man." "Just a little bit!" "Not even a little bit! Only a tiny bit!"
As the trio calmed themselves down and made excuses pathetically, Rimuru frowned. He hadn't tested out his body and wasn't sure if he could flee. While Great Sage told him that they were of no threat and that he could easily knock them out, it wasn't something that he wanted to do. Before he could draw his sword, magic sense picked up on someone heading to their location.
"That's enough."
As the trio turned to look at the man walking towards them, Rimuru became shocked.
"He's a total hot guy!"
Or so Rimuru wanted to shout. While he was happy he had caught the attention of a guard, he was hit hard by how good looking his savior was. Red hair and blue eyes with a very dignified look. Great Sage on the other hand let Rimuru know that this was not someone to mess with.
Rimuru felt a strange connection to the sword, but decided that he should deal with the situation first.
"No matter what the circumstances are, I will not allow you to perpetrate any more violence against that young… Person. That is enough."
The red haired man was confident in his stride as he walked and stood beside Rimuru, shielding him from the trio. Above that, the trio began visibly trembling. It was clear that this man was well known.
"That burning red hair and sky-blue eyes…plus that knight's sword sheath engraved with the image of dragon's claws… It can't be… Reinhard… Are you the Master Swordsman Reinhard?!"
"Well, I suppose I don't have to waste time introducing myself. …Although I am not fond of that title everyone gives me. It's still too heavy for me."
Rimuru caught on to the bit of self deprivation in his voice when he spoke of his title, but decided not to say anything.
The trio began panicking and looking around, likely for a chance to escape.
"If you're planning on running away, I'll let you off this time. Just head back out toward the main street. However, if you plan on being stubborn, you will have to deal with me."
Reinhard put his hand on the handle of the sword and the trio took off instantly shouting apologies. He sighed and turned back towards Rimuru.
Rimuru smiled and spoke to Reinhard.
"Thanks for helping me out. I didn't really want to get into a fight."
"From my perspective, you just needed me to step in and scare them off. I can see that you could have handled them yourself. It was only because it became 2 against 3 that they began to doubt themselves."
Reinhard clearly knew that Rimuru had enough strength to take care of himself and tried to shift the complement back at him. Rimuru was stunned at his good nature, and simply shook it off.
"No, you seem to be pretty well known here. In any case, thanks for the save."
Reinhard took a closer look at Rimuru.
"By the way, I thought that your eyes and clothes were pretty unusual. Where are you from? Why did you come to the capital of Lugunica?"
This was a pretty natural question for a guard to ask. Rimuru didn't have a good answer to where he was from, so he tried to be vague.
"My names Rimuru, Rimuru Tempest. I'm from pretty far away. I haven't heard of Lugunica actually, so that's got to be a testament to how far away I'm from. Anyway, around an thirty minutes ago, I was picked up from where I was and next thing I knew, I was in this city."
Little known to Rimuru, Reinhard knew Rimuru wasn't lying because of his divine protection.
Right as Reinhard was about to continue, a blond girl went flying through the alleyway with a quick coming through. Because of magic sense, Rimuru was able to get out of the way. Reinhard looked in the way the girl had gone, but then continued the conversation.
"Those seem like unfortunate circumstances. If you need somewhere to stay, then I can lend you my home until you're able to support yourself or find a way to go back to your home."
Rimuru was floored once again by Reinhard. His good nature was too much for Rimuru to handle.
"While I'd love to take you up on your offer, aren't you worried that I'm lying Reinhard-san?"
"There's no need to worry about that. I can sense when people are lying. Also, you can just call me Reinhard."
"Then I guess I'll take you up on your offer Reinhard."
As Reinhard turned to lead Rimuru in the direction of his house, they were once again intruded on. This time by a silver haired girl that looked to be in both a panic and a hurry.
"Hey you, have you seen a blond girl with red eyes come through here?"
Rimuru was impressed by her beauty, but he was caught on something else. Her ears. They were pointed on the tips beyond what any human could have. He had already seen many other races other than humans, so he was exited when he came to the conclusion that she was an elf.
"Yeah, she passed through here in a hurry not too long ago. Did something happen?"
Rimuru answered quickly.
"Thank you. I need to catch up to her."
The girl began to leave quickly before Reinhard spoke up.
"Is something wrong? If you need assistance, then I could be of help."
The girl stopped and quickly denied him.
"No it's fine, it's fine. I can take care of this on my own."
"If you need help, then you should just take it when it's offered."
The girl hesitated at this before another voice butted in.
"You should just take them up on their offer Lia. They don't have any malicious intent."
A cat floated out from behind her. It was small and grey, and look rather cute, but Rimuru didn't need Great Sage to sense the immense amount of mana it could wield.
"It would be wrong of me to not help you if you are in trouble. If you need assistance, then I am happy to help you."
"Then I could I ask for your help? I need to find her."
The girl bowed her head to the two and the two smiled.
"We're the ones who offered you help, so you don't have to bow your head."
"Just as Rimuru said, you don't need to bow your head for this. It is my responsibility to oversee things like this anyway. It would not do to abandon my duty."
"Thank you anyway. She stole something very important"
"Then should we follow after her. She was pretty fast, so we should get going before she leaves us behind completely. Oh, I didn't get your name."
"My names Puck. I'm Lia's spirit, so don't get any ideas."
"My name is Emilia. Just Emilia.
The three of them began to head in the direction the blond had fled.
It didn't take long before they came to a dead end. It seemed like the small thief had gone onto the roofs to flee. Reinhard and Rimuru jumped up to see if they could spot her running, and sure enough she was. She was moving in the direction of the slums. So they began to head in that direction.
In the end, they lost sight of her after arriving in the slums. Puck had also run out of time. Apparently, spirits couldn't stay manifested for more than a certain amount of time. Rimuru had assumed that because they were both magical life forms, he wouldn't need rest, but it seemed that spirits followed a different set of rules.
"It might be a bit late, but can I ask what she stole from you?"
Reinhard asked so he could maybe find some hint as to what the robber was going to do with it.
"It's my insignia. I really need it or I'll be in big trouble."
"If it's a valuable insignia, then it wouldn't hurt to see if there are any places that sell stolen goods. A loot house kind of place."
Rimuru chimed in with his own thoughts. If they didn't find it now, they would probably never find it again. Thinking of the most likely place it would be, he decided to ask the residents of the slums.
"Hey. Can you tell me the directions to get to that blond girl's loot house? We're kind of lost."
"What do you need at the loot house?"
"I wanted to see what kind of stuff they have. See if they've got what I need? You know?"
"Well, I guess there isn't anything else you'd do. It's down this road over here."
After getting directions, Rimuru went back to his group.
"We're not here to browse the loot house Rimuru."
"Yeah, but if we said we were here to get back something that was stolen, they'd probably lie. People in similar circumstances tend to watch each others back. Anyway, the loot house where your insignia probably is is down that road."
Emilia seemed sad about the people's circumstances, but couldn't do anything.
The three followed the directions they had been given, and sure enough, they ended up at their destination. The only large house in the area. Hopefully this was the end of their chase.
They decided that the best option would be for Rimuru to go alone at first. Emilia was the one who was robbed and Reinhard stood out too much in his outfit.
Rimuru knocked on the door and waited.
After a few seconds a voice came from inside.
"To the giant rats…?"
"I don't know what people here do about rats, but a safe bet is poison."
"To the great white whale…?"
"I don't know what the great white one is, but for whales, I'd recommend harpoons and fishing hooks."
"To our most honorable great dragon…?"
"I forgot this last part, just let me in."
After a couple seconds. The door opened.
"What's the point of a password if it's not gonna be used? Now I've never seen you, so if you ain't a customer, then scram."
"I'm a customer, so let me in. I'm waiting for that blond girl."
"You're waiting for Felt? I heard she got a client with a big offer. That you?"
"No, but I'm competing for it."
"Is that so? Then come on in. She probably won't be here for a bit."
He signaled to Reinhard and Emilia for them to wait outside. Rimuru entered the house and began to wait. After some thirty minutes, Felt arrived.
Of course Emilia and Reinhard had seen her arrival, but because Emilia wanted to understand why felt had stolen from her, they had stayed out of sight. Reinhard had seconded this and it was only natural for him to help his benefactor in this way considering that he had been given the option to basically freeload for the time being.
"Who are you?"
"You don't recognize me from back in the alley?"
"I'm a busy gal. I can't remember everyone's face."
"Fair enough. In any case, I'm here for some of your loot."
"You're a customer? Then here's all the stuff I have."
Rimuru looked through all the stuff she had stolen, but didn't see any badge or insignia.
"Didn't you steal an insignia?"
"Yeah, but I have a client who requested that."
Rimuru was surprised at this. Given that she lived in the slums, it was surprising that someone would hire her. The insignia would have to hold some pretty crazy value in order for someone to hire another.
'Great Sage, is there a way to send Reinhard and Emilia a message without letting Felt and Rom know?'
'It is possible using the thought communication skill. However, they will not be able to respond without the skill and it will not work over an exceedingly large distance.'
'Will it work from this distance?'
'Yes'
'Then fill them in on the situation. Make sure to tell them I can't hear them though. Keep them informed as things happen.'
'Done.'
To Rom and Felt, it looked like Rimuru was lost in thought for a second, and ultimately waited for his answer.
"Well, would it be fine to wait for your client? I'm willing to compete for it."
"If it drives up the price, then I don't mind, but what are you gonna put on the line? Just so you know, my client offered 10 holy coins."
"I have some of my own. Like you said, competition here will only get you more."
Felt agreed and began waiting for her client. Rimuru passed the time talking to Felt.
"So why did you end up becoming a thief Felt? What brought you to this business?"
"It's not thievery. It's making a living. If I didn't do this, I'd have to sell my body. Why do you care?"
"No, I was just wondering."
Rimuru kept Emilia posted as this seemed to be the kind of stuff that Emilia wanted to hear. After a bit of waiting, they heard a knock at the door. Felt popped up and rushed to open the door.
The one who entered could only be described with one word. 'Dekai.' Of course he didn't say it out loud and made sure not to stare, he couldn't help but be impressed. So far, he had met several impressively good looking people. If this continued, he would be left in the dust. Of course, he didn't forget to tell Great Sage to leave that part out.
After Rom grabbed a drink for all the parties involved, the woman spoke.
"I understand that old man being here, but who is this?"
"This guy here is your rival. He's come to negotiate as well."
After a bit of explaining, everyone understood the situation. Rimuru sent a message saying that if they were going to come in, then now was the time. He didn't have anything to negotiate with after all.
"Well, my initial offer is 10 holy gold coins. I assume that his is of greater value?"
"I'd like to see how high you're willing or able to go before I make an offer."
Rimuru deflected back, buying time at this point for his friends to come in. He sensed them coming to the entrance, but so did the woman. She turned towards the entrance and simply asked.
"We're you planning on having more guests?"
"Not as far as I know."
Rom responded wondering what had caught her and Rimuru's attention.
Before he could get up to check who it was, the door was opened. Emilia stepped in followed by Reinhard.
Felt immediately began panicking, while the woman simply frowned, but then began to smile even more than she already had.
"What are you doing here?"
Felt asked as she began to prepare to run away.
Meanwhile the woman turned to face the intruders.
"Oh my, it's hard to hold negotiations for a stolen good if the original owner is here."
'Report, intense hostility detected.'
Rimuru quickly reacted and pulled Felt behind him.
"Hey, what are you…"
"Just stay back."
Rimuru wasn't cruel enough to let a little girl die in front of him. Even if that girl was a thief.
Rimuru tuned back towards the woman that had nearly gutted Felt.
"What's the whole idea going after the youngest here?!"
"I'm surprised you dodged that. The room is so full of interesting people, I can hardly hold myself back."
The woman replied with a sickening smile as she turned to Reinhard's direction.
"Black hair and black clothes, and your weapon is the bent blade particular to the northern countries. With all of those characteristics aligned, there's no mistaking it. You are the 'Bowel Hunter Elsa,' aren't you?"
"That I am. I hear that sword of yours is quite special. I'd only hope to taste its legendary sharpness. Oh to face such an enjoyable opponent; I'll have to thank my employer for this job."
"Are you certain that you want to do this? I'd recommend you surrender."
"Would you say to a starving predator as it stands before its wounded prey, a perfect specimen and already dripping blood, to bear its hunger and move on?"
Elsa readied her blades while Reinhard sighed and stepped forward. Rom ducked behind the counter, clearly knowing he was outmatched.
Elsa charged at Reinhard, her blade swinging at his neck with incredible speed. It was far too fast for a normal human to keep up with, yet Reinhard spoke calmly.
"I don't really want to be violent with a woman, but you'll have to excuse me."
Reinhard surpassed her speed as he gave her a simple forward kick. Elsa went flying away from everyone, so Rimuru took the chance to regroup with Emilia. He secretly took the insignia and stored it off of Felt as he pulled her with him.
Elsa recovered and threw a knife at Rimuru as she charged Reinhard. Reinhard was preoccupied with her attack, even if he could handle her easily, he wouldn't be able to stop the knife headed towards the group.
Although Rimuru was stronger than most beings, he wouldn't be able to dodge without letting the people behind him get hit, so he quickly calculated.
'Will I die if I get hit by that?'
'Report, you will be harmed, and will be forced to use magicules to heal, but you will not die as long as your body isn't completely destroyed or drained of magicules. Take evasive action?'
'No, I'll handle it.'
Rimuru turned and took the knife in his chest. He wasn't very fond of it, and felt himself getting a violent sense of déjà vu. At the very least, this time, he wouldn't feel the pain and he knew he wouldn't die.
The knife was slowed by his shirt, but still penetrated his body. He pulled it out and quickly began healing the wound. It wasn't a particularly fast process, but it would do. Emilia on the other hand began panicking.
"You're hurt. Stop moving, I need to heal you."
"Don't worry about it. I heal pretty quickly on my own."
Emilia looked shocked as the wound was already gone by the time she saw the hole in his clothing. She checked over Rimuru to make sure he was fine before worriedly turning her attention back to the fight.
Rimuru backed the group off as the fight between Reinhard and Elsa intensified. Rimuru noticed that Reinhard was still fighting without a weapon, so he called out to him.
"It's not much, but if you can't draw your sword, then use this one."
Rimuru pulled out the sword he had made discreetly and tossed it to Reinhard. Reinhard and the rest hadn't seen where he had pulled the sword from, but it wasn't high on their list of priorities.
"Thank you. Then I believe that I should end this here. I can't allow you to keep getting shots off on everyone."
"Are you finally going to take me seriously?"
"If you won't surrender, then I will be forced."
"If I lose my fangs, I'll fight with my nails. If I lose my nails, I'll fight with my bones. If I lose my bones, I'll fight with my life. That is how I, the Bowel Hunter, does things."
"Then I'll end this with my next strike."
"What are you going to show me?"
"The swordplay of the Astrea family."
With that proclamation, Rimuru felt the air pressure change. Magic Sense felt every bit of mana go towards Reinhard. Rimuru would've been blinded by the bright light emanating from Reinhard's sword if he wasn't able to see with Magic Sense. It got to the point where Rimuru turned off magic sense so not to overload his senses. In that moment, the pressure rose to greater heights and then…
BOOM
The house they were in blew up in a blue flash of light.
"What part of that explosion was swordplay?!"
Rimuru exclaimed after seeing the sheer absurdity of Reinhard's power.
"Even I'll feel a bit hurt by that comment."
Reinhard replied with a smile as if his power wasn't such a big deal. The sword that he had wielded glowed powerfully, and didn't turn to dust, which surprised Reinhard, but could be left for later.
Rimuru turned his Magic Sense skill back on. He knew that nothing could survive a direct hit from that and that with Reinhard's skill, it was unlikely he would fail to land this decisive of a hit, but it didn't hurt to check.
'Report, individual named Elsa is still alive.'
As if on cue, Elsa burst out of the ruble and charged straight at Emilia. Reinhard wouldn't get there in time, and Emilia wouldn't be able to do anything seeing as Reinhard had used the vast majority of the mana in the area.
Rimuru knew that if Elsa wasn't holding back, even with almost no time because of Reinhard's interference, it would be enough to deal considerable damage to his body and maybe even kill Emilia while he was regenerating.
'Report, it is possible to prevent all harm done to Emilia if…'
'I don't have time to think it through, if it saves Emilia and doesn't kill me, then I'll do it.'
'Confirmed. Using unique skill predator.'
Before Rimuru could protest this, his body burst outward, surprising Elsa. Her hesitation was all Great Sage needed to take advantage of before he wrapped around Elsa's body.
Elsa attempted to cut through the slime, but he kept regenerating. It would only be a matter of time before she went under. Her regeneration could only help so much.
Rimuru on the other hand, was panicking as his whole human cover was blown instantly. Worse than that, he was quickly running out of magicules as his body was cut over and over.
Reinhard didn't know what to do. He hadn't seen something like this before. His panic at letting Elsa make one last slash turned into confusion as Rimuru turned into slime.
Emilia panicked thinking that Rimuru had done some sort of self destruct, and her worry grew as she saw the slime move deliberately, as if trying to consume Elsa.
After about 15 seconds of struggle, Elsa lost her ability to resist, and she disappeared, swallowed into predator's stomach. Rimuru wasn't doing much better though. His magicules were practically drained.
'Report, level of magicules is dropping below acceptable threshold. Entering sleep mode in 15 seconds. Expected to fully recover in 2 days.'
As Rimuru felt weakness due to being low on magicules. He tried turning back into human form, but ultimately failed. He used thought communication to talk to the everyone.
"Hey, looks like I'm low on magicules, so I won't be able to turn human for the time being. Could I bother you Reinhard to take care of my body while I'm asleep? It'll take about 2 days for me to recover. And for Emilia; I went ahead and grabbed the insignia, so you don't have to search for it. It's right here."
Rimuru felt his consciousness leaving him, so he brought the insignia out of his stomach and let himself fall into his sleep.
Everyone in the room was stunned. They had gone from horror, to hope, to happy, to horror and back so many times in the past thirty minutes, it was fatiguing. Everyone was curious as to just what Rimuru was, and very cautious. He had just consumed Elsa, a famous killer right in front of them.
"So what should we do now?"
Rom peeked out from behind the counter he was behind.
"I we should move him. I don't know if Rimuru is injured, but we should try healing him just in case he is in any danger."
Reinhard took the lead, concerned about the slime's health. He had taken many cuts from the bowel hunter after all. Emilia tried using healing magic, but it ultimately failed as there didn't seem to be any reaction
Finally, understanding that there was no more danger, everyone collectively sighed in relief.
"Well this is a first for meeting someone capable of doing something like this."
"It definitely is. I've never even heard of whatever race he belongs to."
"Well, it saved us in the end, so we can only thank him for that."
Reinhard looked over rimuru's body that had turned into a sphere-like shape and noticed a tiny bit of glowing. He didn't think much of it, but then realized exactly what it was. He gasped and reached for it to make sure.
Sure enough, Emilia's insignia, was glowing on Rimuru's body. He quickly handed the insignia back to Emilia and spoke quickly.
"Here is your insignia lady Emilia. I hope you can pardon me, but I must go soon."
"If you need to be somewhere, I can bring Rimuru back with me. Even if he needs to rest for a a couple days, I'd like to thank him."
"I'm sorry Emilia-sama, but I need to bring him with myself."
Reinhard scooped up Rimuru's body which was surprisingly easy to keep together, despite being much somewhat like a liquid. He held it carefully and walked to the door.
"What about Felt and Rom?"
Emilia asked with worry in her voice.
"Officially, I wouldn't overlook this, but seeing as you don't wish to punish them and I'm off duty, I can say that it didn't happen."
"You're a bad knight."
Emilia smiled as Reinhard left the scene, Rimuru's body tucked safely in his arms.
It wasn't long after that a pink haired maid found Emilia in the slums talking to a small girl and an old man. She was scolded after this.
There's the first chapter done. If anyone has suggestions, I live off of them. I have some ideas for what I want to do next, but hearing your ideas can make me create a more compact and more thought out story.
In relation to my first fanfic before this, I don't think I'm going to continue it. I think I went way too overboard with the system, so I'm going to to officially cancel it before it becomes a pure power fantasy.
Before anyone says how OP Reinhard is, I'd like to say that Tappei also played down his abilities in arc 1. I think this much should be fair game.
In any case, I hope you all enjoyed this first chapter. I'll keep writing this as long as I have ideas. Until next chapter.
