Dreams are for those who dare to challenge themselves to their limits. Just like 15-year-old Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town in Kanto Region filled with passion to desire to be the very best in anything, no matter whatever he tries. He lives with his mother Delia who is a single mother and does owns a little restaurant in town and works very hard to earn her living. Watching his mother work hard every day since his childhood he just grew with a passion to make her feel proud. Being a Small town Pallet Town has not much to offer but being short of funds also leaves many more things to desire.

Pallet High school is a considerable small school as compared to the other high schools Kanto has to offer but it is the only school in Pallet that makes it stand out for itself. Pallet High may not be the best but it doesn't mean it's students can't be the best. As the same applies to Ash Ketchum For instance Ash Ketchum is most famous in school he excels at studies even sports i.e. soccer & basketball. But making a future in sports is not easy and to make it in two of them altogether is not someone can imagine.

Ash's POV:

Now I am getting ready for school in the morning after doing my daily chores after waking up early with includes running & some exercises.

I heard Mom "I had cooked breakfast ashy come down & eat it otherwise it'll get cold" from downstairs loudly so that I can hear it in my room.

"What's in breakfast mom?" within from my room.

"Honey it's your favorite as usual pancakes" replied my Mom.

"Here I come mom" as I came downstairs.

"I don't believe you're going to turn 16 after 2 months ashy, time does flies" Mom said to me as I was gulping down my pancakes.

"Mom you know I am doing my best now so that in future you won't have to worry about anything" I said giving her a smile.

"I know Ash my kid has some high hopes & I will support you all I can" said Mom in a comforting manner.

"Mom do you really want me to miss school ? Because you know I am getting late" I said as I hugged her and left for school.

"Have nice day honey" said mom as I left.

Delia's Pov

Ashy I know how hard you're trying and I hope your dreams would come true and I am already very proud of you.

3rd Person's Pov:

As Ash left his house for school he started running towards the bus stand and reached there within 5 minutes

as someone comes from back & tries to hit him on his head

Ash just ducked and said " Gary won't you learn ?" in a calm tone.

Now Gary who was behind him" Yeah yeah ever so cool ashy boy I know you know my tricks" said while smirking.

"you know but you don't want to grow up knowing these tricks won't work on me" said ash as the bus arrived for School.

As the got on the bus it was already filled with so ash only found a seat in the back and sat down while Gary found a seat from in the front.

Ash's Pov

As I sat down I just started thinking about which mom just said "Time does fly".

I and Gary are now best buddies after we met first time at Professor Oak's Summer camp when I was 6 years old and we started a rivalry & with the time that rivalry converted into a competition and now friendship. Gary does motivate me by challenging me. If he wouldn't be there to challenge me for soccer games I would be only in Basketball which has far lesser scope here in Kanto.

And then he thinks about the time he trained with Red Oak & Blue Oak (Gary's brothers) as both they were no less than legends when they were in high schools. Red Oak is one of the best players in Soccer & Blue was the best he met ever in Basketball. As both of them taught me tricks that I know I wouldn't have learned in Pallet.

After thinking about he randomly started thinking about the summer camp & some memories.

Flashback 9 years back at Prof. Oaks summer camp

Ash was wandering in the forest near the camping area to find something interesting but unfortunately nothing he could find interesting.
So he sits down under a tree playing with a wooden branch until he heard a scream nearby He stand up & ran in the direction of the scream only to find a girl with a straw hat screaming when he went there he can she was crying over something.
Ash- Hey why are you crying?
? - I tripped & hurt my knee
Ash- Are you on professor Oak's summer camp?
?- No, I came here with my mother on vacation.
Ash- ohhk let me help you & you'll be good in no time.
? - I can't even stand.
Ash- Don't give up until it's over
Ash gives his hand to her for some support when she reached out with her own. He could only stare at the blue sapphire eyes of the girl like its reaching out to him and then he pulls her with some force that they eventually ended in a half hug.

Ash- let's get out of the forest so to treat your injury.

?- Thanks & btw my name is Serena.

Ash- Oh nice name Serena my name's Ash.

Serena - I am here for around 2 weeks in pallet will you come to play by the house.

Ash- sure but I am attending a summer camp so I will be probably there for the whole day.

Serena- oh so bad well thank you ash for your help.

Ash- Blushes & scratches the back of his head & says well its nothing. Well this is the camping area & nurse joy is available here she will be happy to check up on your injury.

Serena- oh thank you ash but I gotta go mom must be panicking & it's bad when it comes to this and I know she has a medical kit.

Ash waves bye to Serena & watch her go to the direction of her home. He watches her honey blonde hair swinging in the air as she walks.

Flashback ends.

3rd Person's Pov

As the bus reached outside Pallet high a sudden brake brought ash out from his dream world as he came out of the bus as Gary was already outside waiting for Ash

Ash said to Gary "Gare bare let's go to our class.

As soon as they entered the school they are greeted by the other students, greeting everyone they made their way to their seats.

In the class

Gary said eyeing ash "Ashy Boy u know that selectors from the topmost high school of Kalos are coming tomorrow in our school for the purpose of selection of some students for scholarship & admission.

Ash replied "Really, good to know beforehand"

Gary while smirking "why? Already bored from the girls here u ashy boy?"

Ash replied in a calm manner "well shut up Gary there are also other things to focus on besides girls."

Gary asked "Like what?"

Ash replied while being focused "you know the scope of learning & achieving my dreams in this school is restricted so well here's my chance"

Gary said smugly "Best of Luck ashy boy for the second position"

Ash said smugly "Cocky aren't you? Well everyone knows who's gonna nail it."

Meanwhile Teacher Arrives Along with Headmaster Prof Oak everyone was now silent in the classroom.

Prof Oak after getting attention from the students " Good morning everyone, There is an important announcement for students who wanna apply for other universities."

"Kalos High School is offering Full scholarship for students for deserving students as tomorrow delegates from their university will arrive here & will conduct some tests of the interesting ones.
As some of you may know Kalos High is one of the most renowned high schools in the world at present & this is a huge opportunity to those who are interested be ready because if selected their life may be changing. (Speaking eyeing a Raven Haired boy in particular).

Well Speaking of Opportunities here's the one for our hero
