Hey there! :D I welcome you all to another remarkable (not really) OC fic of mine! YOU MAY CUT THE RIBBON! No, no, not the red one.. Cut the blue one. We do things different here~XD
I finally finished 'Kaichou wa Maid sama' and I have to say, it's one of the best animes I've ever watched in my entire life. Also I am so happy to finally have a fellow perverted alien brother to hang with and do perverted alien things with. *Single tear of infinite joy* And if you loved the anime as much as I did and brawled your eyes out when it ended; have a beer, get comfy wrapped up in some blankets and type 'Manga Owl' on the face of your friendly partner, Google. You can dive further into the series there. It has there the volumes even after their (no spoilers; cuz it's too obvious) marriage. So get in there if you wanna..
I do not own Maid-sama.
*Screeches like a banshee and slams head into the wall, repeatedly*
It belongs to the beautiful and talented person who exists on this dimension by the name Hiro Fujiwara. *Wipes blood off forehead, and sends love*
But I do own the two OCs that got randomly dragged into the plot. There might be more new characters nearby tho, just sayin' ;) And also the pic above, which I drew myself. *puffs out non existent chest* And yes, Midori's hair color is supposed to be a dark chocolate hue. Gaaah! It was dark when I first painted it I swear! But then it dried and now it's ...milk chocolate!? more like red velvet! *heavy sigh* drawing is haaaaard! Anyways imagine it darker for me k?
NOW. LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
(director falls off his chair but... nevermind. You can't see that)
Somewhere up high, the stars twinkled, and the moon shone, but they were obscured by the thick veil of fog cast across the London cityscape. Rushing hurriedly, the wind hissed and beat at the windows of homes. Houses were draped in the new-fallen snow; a white canvas, freshly brought. Lining the streets were the charcoal outlines of winter trees with icicles hanging from the barren boughs. Lampposts glowed in the living darkness, coating the alleys and streets with a faint amber light that pierced through the fog. Not even the faintest hoot of an owl could be heard in the heavy silence; they stayed silent within their hollows. It was certainly not a night to be reckoned with.
A young woman stood still against the cold blissard, her face consumed by the shadows. Behind her the large jet black gates of the famous Raven castle closed with a haunting screech. The man closing them stepped back and stared at the woman on the other side of the gate. His brows creased as he fought the urge to stop her. He wanted her to stay. This was the second time he was forced to say an early farewell to one of his most cherished masters. It won't be the same without her. But he simply waited, knowing it's not his place to interfere.
She didn't bother to look back as she adjusted the large duffle bag which hung from one shoulder and tucked the rose colored scarf firmly against her neck. Her face didn't betray any of her emotions. But in reality it was all she could do to hold herself from breaking down then and there in front of the grand mansion that was her childhood home. The snow had dusted her dark chocolate hair like confetti. She looked a sickening white that contrasted from her usual warmer skin tone.
She stared straight in to the foggy, snowing streets ahead of her. The future looked cold and unwelcoming. It looked, if possible, colder than the present. To be more specific, it never had looked more uncertain.
But she stood tall, the freezing weather didn't bother her anymore. Not after she had witnessed her own brother's cold heart. She had always known that there had been a dangerous, cruel side to those blue eyes that looked like chips of ice but...
She never expected to be at the receiving end of his rage. Like ever. She didn't think...never thought... that, he would go so far as to throw out his own sister... To just strip her out of the family like she meant nothing...
Then again, he did it once. Why shouldn't he be able to do it again?
Despite her situation, she smirked to herself quietly.
Looks like I underestimated him. Again...
"Midori Sama..."
The brunette turned her head slightly but didn't turn back around. Her jade green eyes glowed in the dim yellow street light.
This mansion... these people...
"I'm sorry. If it were up to me..."
They are not related to me. Not anymore.
"... I would have done anything.."
It hurt. Because they are the people I love.
"..to stop this from happening..."
Because they are family.
"..."
It doesn't matter.
"I apologise for n_"
"Oh cut the crap, Cedric." I'm in no mood to listen to your half-assed apologies.
"..."
It was because she fell in love. Because she loved someone of a lower class. Someone 'lower' than his standard 'ideal' guy.
In the end whose preference should matter? Mine or his? She thought sarcastically.
Haru was a good person. The blonde possessed the traits that she lacked herself. You might as well claim that opposites attract. Midori Walker was helplessly, hopelessly drawn towards those brown eyes that seem to kill everything around him with kindness. But not only in that department, he had the looks that could have been fit for a prince rather than a servant. He was the whole package. And he made her feel like an extra cheese, hawaiian pizza just out of the oven. And she loved the feeling as much as she loved pizza. She adored that occasional lonely smile of his that seemed to hold more meaning to it than it should. Then there were these subtle words of insight that he'd murmur in her ear when she's having trouble with everyday life. She loved that calm, quick witted, kind and funny nature of his. He was the only one that managed to make her laugh her guts out as she staggered through the boring, scheduled life of an aristocrat in the castle.
She felt a smile trying to break through her cold mask of indifference.
It cannot be helped that she fell in love so easily. She didn't mean to. It just happened. And before she even knew it she was expecting flowers from a servant. Waiting for anonymous letters to be found after her bed room was cleaned and arranged. Midori smiled at the memory, which felt so far away now. It was a shame that her brother found out. To be honest she didn't feel the need to hide anything. It's not like she was conspiring to murder someone important. She wan't doing anything illegal so to hell with it. Besides she hated secrets.
'I can't allow my mother's mistakes to be repeated.' Gerald had said, 'I will not have another woman disgrace the Walker family name.'
So much for being honest, maybe they should have eloped together before Haru was kicked out. Now that would be interesting, wouldn't it? A servant and his mistress living a damned and unpredictable life. She was a risk taker and he was a... man. So it could've been great.
She sighed. Now it's just too late.
It was impossible for them to be together. Somewhere along the lines she had realised that. The whole world was against them. And yet...
I regret nothing...
Out of the corner of her eyes she realised that Cedric was still watching her from behind. "Tell Haru I..."
She let the sentence hang in the air, feeling she wouldn't be able to leave if she said any more. No, she won't leave here like a crying mess. They won't see her breaking apart. And why should she anyway? She hadn't done anything wrong.
No.
Midori knew a pair of eyes were burning the back of her head the whole time. She turned her head slightly to the left and caught glimpse of a pair of electric blue eyes staring at her from the seventh floor window. Shining like sunlight on clear ice. And yet even from this far they looked just as cold and cruel. The air seemed to still for a second as their eyes clashed together. Blue and green.
Midori narrowed her eyes holding his gase for a moment longer before turning back. It's like he was waiting for her to fall on her knees and brawl her eyes out.
Yeah right.
She'll leave with her head held high and she will come back. From now on it will be her very intent to overthrow her brother. They haven't seen the last of her. She'll work for success. She'll prove herself.
If you think you can get rid of me that easily, you're dead wrong.
Without another word or even a glance at the well lit palace which had been her home for as long as she could remember, Midori stepped into the dark snowing streets, planning her next step ahead.
Cedric watched till the fog wrapped around the former Walker family heir as she disappeared into the dark.
"Good luck, Midori-Sama."
"USUI!"
The demon screamed, all around her a flaming mess of red. The heat seem to scorch anyone nearby as the Pres stood with what looked like a scythe in her hand, grinning like the devil she is. All around her the students of Seika are going insane with panic as they begged her again and again to forgive them, which, Misaki thought was kinda stupid since the object of her demonic frustrations were anyone but them.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING"
A young man with a messy blonde head slowly turned to accept his fate. His bright green eyes dull with boredom. His eyes ran over the Pres in her demonic form for a second and then he tilted his head to the right with a blank stare.
"DON'T YOU JUST STAND THERE AND LOOK INNOCENT, YOU IDIOT! WHY THE HELL DID YOU LOCK UP SHINTANI IN THE CLUB ROOM LIKE THAT! YOU KNOW HE WON'T SURVIVE THERE WITHOUT FOOD! TELL ME, WHY DID YOU DO THAT"
"Huh." Usui blinked. "But it was because I felt like it. Why are you so mad Miss President"
"BECAUSE YOU FELT LIKE_ DON'T GIVE ME THAT YOU IDIOTTTT!" And so, she threw him away to the far corner of the Earth with a roundhouse kick, while screaming, "QUIT PLAYING AROUND USUI AND GET BACK TO CLASS. IF YOU'RE GOING TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT AGAIN I SWEAR YOU WILL REGRET IT."
Misaki stomped off, the crowd parting for her as she went and Usui just rolled and rolled away. In to the unknown... [seen the frozen 2 movie yet ;)
The nerve, of that... guy! How dare he! He keeps making trouble just for the heck of it! Seriously, what reason did he have to lockup Shintani like that!? He was practically passed out in starvation when I got there! What is wrong with him!? He keeps doing these weird...
The Prez came to an abrupt halt as she recalled something that happened yesterday at the cafe.
She was in the changing room getting ready for her shift when Usui suddenly slammed open the door, shut it just as quick and was standing in front of her in a span of two seconds.
"USUI!? What are you_"
He had covered her mouth before she could scream and Misaki immediately knew that the freakin' pervert was up to no good. She grunted and tried to pull away but he held on pretty strongly.
She was about to kick his ass and exile him to the nearest planet when he_
"Ayuzawa..."
She turned startled and saw his deep serious green eyes, on that excruciatingly handsome face staring into her amber ones with burning intensity. Misaki felt her face heating up at their close proximity, and it didn't help that she was wearing only a thin camisole at the moment either. But he looked so serious that it stilled her beating heart for a moment. He held her gaze. Those emerald pools trying to suck her in and very nearly succeeding. Her breath got caught in her throat and her eyes widened. Is he... going to... do ... something? Is he... going to ki...
"I broke a flower vase."
Wait... what..
"two actually."
"..."
It took a while for our dear Misa-chan to figure out what her beloved perverted alien was saying. Usui just patiently waited for her to respond while taking off his hand from her mouth so that she could speak. Which, he realized later, was a mistake.
"YOU WHAT!?"
He winced and took a cautious step back. He knew she would be angry. But not this angry. It was just a vase. Well, two of them, but still.
"YOU! YOU_! WITH THAT LOOK ON YOUR FACE!?_ A FLOWER VASE_ YOU_! I_I_I THOUGHT_! VASE_WHAT THE HELL_ YOU PERVERT!"
Usui blinked. She's not angry about the vase?
He looked at her blankly. "Misa? are you blushing?"
"S-SHUT UP DAMN USUI! I AM NOT BLUSHING!" Jeez, I can't believe I thought he was going to... GAAAAAHHH!
"Then why is your face so red? And why are you yelling?" He stared at her curiously making her heat up even more. "What did you think Misa?"
"NOTHING! JUST GET THE HELL OUT YOU PERVERT! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE EVEN DOING!? THIS IS THE CHANGING ROOM IF YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED SO SCRAM, BEFORE I KICK YOU OUT!"
But Usui didn't heed her warnings. Now smirking, the pervert had found something that had caught his attention. "Were you thinking something dirty Misa-chan?"
"WHAAA_?"
He leaned down with a knowing smirk. "If there's anything you want, I would be happy to give it to you. You just have to ask Ayuzawa~"
Misaki's eyes widened as she practically exploded in a haze of red. "Wha_ What are you saying!? YOU PERVERRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTT!'
Just then the door of the changing room opened and they both turned to see a very worried manager. Her marine blue eyes wide with concern. "Misa? Is everything alright? I heard you screeea_ahoh oh my!~"
She stopped abruptly as her eyes took in the scene of Misaki being cornered and pressed against a locker while still in her camisole. "Am I, interrupting something?" Her blue eyes went all sparkly as she looked at Usui who had a blank expression on his face. Small petals of multiple rosy flowers already fluttering down in all directions in the suddenly bright, yellow background.
Misaki, who was already flustered enough as it is pushed the pervert away, straightened up and began frantically waving her arms up and down in gestures of utter denial. "AAAAAHHHHHH! Manager! It's NOT what it looks like!"
"Ok~"
You don't really sound like you believe me! Misaki sweat-dropped as she watched the other woman spinned around in small circles and bounced off, almost like she was in a dream with flowers raining all over her. Misaki sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose in impatience.
"Oh come on, it was't all that bad.."
"GAAH! WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE? GET OUT!"
The Prez gritted her teeth and continued to stomp on as the flashback ended. That obviously didn't help. It just boosted up her anger to new levels. She marched along the halls, students scattering out of her ways as they sensed the demonic presence. Damn that perverted alien to hell!
The Student Council President ticked off the rest of her paperwork with inhuman speed, venting her anger towards a certain blonde pervert, who had upset her earlier this morning, on the pile of meeting records in front of her. Yukimara stood pale faced and trembling by her side, left with no choice except to watch helplessly from the side lines as the Prez pounded away. For some reason the President seem to have been on a bad mood since morning.
"Miss President..."
"WHAT?"
"Kyaaaa... I'm sorry! I didn't mean to disturb you!"
Misaki sucked in a breath with great difficulty to calm herself. It had been a long and tiresome day and she can't wait to just fall flat on her bed and pass out as soon as she gets home. Thank God, she didn't have another shift today at the caffe.
"What is it Yukimara?"
The younger boy looked nervous as he twitched. "No, it's just... Miss. President... you don't look so good... are you... feeling alright?"
She blinked at the guy who looked like an abandoned puppy and her fierce amber eyes softened. "No, I'm fine. I'm just tired. I guess..." She leaned back in her chair and looked out of the window for a moment. The sky was dyed in a bright reddish orange because of the setting sun. Misaki sighed.
"Thanks Yukimara."
