Chapter 16: [Universe A] Unlocking Portal Key Mystery Act II

- Mysteries are always intriguing you may never know what you might find. -

Morning comes down and Sapphire wakes up and stretches, FlowerGirl greets her with a simple good morning. At breakfast, Rasp, Wisely, and Sapphire were enjoying some scrambled eggs and bacon. "So any new leads?" Rasp said. 'Should I tell them about how I'm getting this information?' Sapphire mentally thought, 'They might think I'm crazy, but I think I trust them well enough to believe me.' "Is something the matter, Sapphire?" Wisley asked, "You have been silent." "Well, I have something to confess," Sapphire said, "Have you been noticing where I have been getting this information?" "Now that you to mention it, yeah," Wisely said, "Out of all of us, you're the one that has the most information." "What are you getting at, Sapphire?" Rasp asked. "Well the truth is that I have been getting this information from my dreams," Sapphire replied. "Wait, what!" Wisely and Rasp said in pure shock. "But how is that possible?" Rasp asked, "Normally, the information you receive with dreams goes away after a few minutes when you wake up after your body's rest." "Well, this is different," Sapphire said, "At least every night I'm transported to a place where I met Netto and Draco." "Draco? You mean that Draco from the legend?" Rasp noted. "So you have some sort of mental link to Netto and Draco?" Wisely said. "It could be," Sapphire said. "Does FlowerGirl know?" Rasp asked. "Yes, but she doesn't know the full extent," Sapphire said.

"This seems interesting," Rasp said, "We should ask Corla about this." "How does Corla knows anything about this mind link?" Wisely said, "I mean this explains how Sapphire knows more about the legend than any of us especially Corla and she suppose to be the quirky one." "So you guys believe me?" Sapphire said. "Of course," Wisely said, "Besides you don't appear to be lying." Sapphire was grateful for Wisely's statement, "Thank you, guys."

Later that day, Sapphire told the truth to Opal, Shard, and Corla. Opal and Shard were not too surprised since Sapphire already told them but Corla was a bit interested. "Interesting, this is the first time I heard of a mind-link between a Legend Dragon and their Vessel." "So you don't know about this Corla?" Shard asked. "Unfortunately no," Corla said, "Documents about the Legend of Draco and Purity were lost to time. But Sapphire, you said Netto and Draco instructed you to find the Ancient Relic. Some sort of ancient hub in which we can access the other dimensions?" "Yeah," Sapphire said, "But the challenging part is that Draco said the Ancient Relic is found in the oldest abandoned building in all of Green Town." "I know just the place," Opal recognized.

The purple-haired girl then takes out her laptop and starts researching. After a bit of digging around, Opal found the location. "I've got it," She said, "This is the place, the Temple of Athenais." "The Temple of Athenais?" Shard muttered then something clicked in his mind, "I've got it. The Temple of Athenais was an old theme park." "How come I never heard of it?" Sapphire said. "Well, it shut down twenty years ago," Shard explained, "But my parents used to go there when there were kids." "So where is it located, here," Opal said, "KuroRock send the directions to their PETS." "Right," KuroRock nodded and instantly sent the directions to Sapphire, Shard, Opal, Wisely, and Rasp's PETs.

"Okay, done," Opal said, "Tonight, we will go there." "Why in the evening?" Rasp asked. "That's when the security will be lowered," Opal said, "Most of the police force will be busy with the Cyber City Expo that the place around there will be lower. So before the expo is finished we head there." Everyone agreed to that. "But wait what about Rollen and Crysilla?" Sapphire asked, "Shouldn't we tell them?" "Alright," Corla said, "But make sure that you are talking about this somewhere private, I don't think we need the officials' help." "Yeah," Shard said, "We don't want them to throw us in a psych ward or something."

- Central Town [Expo Pavilon] -

The Expo Pavilion was filled with a variety of inventions. Everything from remote-controlled robots to physics-bending abstract objects. "Whoa, the inventors outdid themselves," Wisely observed as they look around.

"Hey, guys!" Crysilla cried. Sapphire, Wisely and Rasp looks up and sees Crysilla along with her cousin, Trevor. Trevor had blonde hair that was combed neatly but spiked everywhere in the ends and ocean blue eyes. He was wearing civilian clothes such as a green plaid T-shirt over a white shirt, black jeans, and brown boots. Rollen was also with them. "Rollen, Crysilla!" Sapphire said as she, Wisely and Rasp reunites with them.

"Hello, everyone," Rollen said with a warm, friendly smile. "Guys this is my cousin, Trevor," Crysilla introduced. "Nice to meet you," Trevor greeted, "I am a soldier of the Sharo Army." "This is the first time I've seen a Sharo Army Soldier," Shard said, "You don't seem uptight as the rest of them." "Actually it is a behavior we developed," Trevor corrected, "When in the military you need to respect the higher-ups but that doesn't mean you need to grow a backbone to stand up for yourself." "Hey Crysilla, Rollen, can we talk privately later?" Sapphire asked. "Sure, what do you need to talk about?" Rollen said.

After pulling Rollen and Crysilla to a place where no one can eavesdrop, Sapphire told everything from meeting Netto and Draco in her dreams through some sort of weak mind link to the existence of the four dimensions and how they are all connected. Rollen and Crysilla were shocked as they were trying to process the information she gave them. "So let me get this straight, you have been mentally connected to a boy that presumed dead four years ago and a shape-shifting dragon from an old legend lost throughout time." Rollen processed, "Then why didn't you tell us in the first place?" "Well, I thought you might think I'm crazy and won't believe me," Sapphire said abashedly. "Why would you think we wouldn't believe you?" Crysilla added, "Besides we trust you enough to know you wouldn't make something like this up."

"Yeah, you're right," Sapphire said, "I'm sorry I doubted you guys for not believing me." "So we have to find this Ancient Relic before the expo ends?" Rollen asked. "That's right," Rasp said, "But we have to be discreet, we don't need to attract the attention of the officials." "So when do we sneak out?" Crysilla whispered. "Right after the speech ends," Sapphire said, "Dr. Hikari said that he was doing a speech to congratulate the participants."

Later, a podium was staged on the stage in which everyone could see them. First was the Mayor of Cyber City, Cyndi Ashara, her brother, Luke was also present and was standing beside her. The blonde woman with pink eyes was wearing a business casual office attire for the occasion which was a grey blazer over a pink shirt, black skirt, and black and white high heels. Luke was a man in his late twenties to early thirties with chestnut brown hair and russet-colored eyes. His attire was a simple beige collar shirt with a black tie, brown-nose-colored pants, and dark brown shoes. "Everyone," Cyndi announced, "I would like to thank everyone and our sponsors for this year's Cyber Expo. Now that I have everyone's attention, here is a lovely speech from Dr. Yuuichiro from Densan City." Cyndi steps down the podium for Yuuichiro to present. "Thank you, everyone," Yuuichiro announced, "I am impressed with this year's Cyber City Expo. I have seen many inventions some more promising than others."

Sapphire and the others were seeing the speech from the back of Pavilion. "Wow," Wisely said, "Dr. Hikari is so inspiring with his speech." "It feels like a stark contrast to the dinner, the other night," Sapphire muttered. "What about your dinner with the Hikaris?" Crysilla asked. "It's just I'm surprised he is keeping it together," Sapphire said, "During our dinner, Yuuichiro and his wife still miss their son dearly." "Even Rockman," FlowerGirl said, "After we talked about Netto, I can feel the pain in his eyes. He seems to miss him as well."

After Yuuichiro's speech, Sapphire, Opal, Shard, Corla, Rasp, Wisely, Rollen, and Crysilla exit the Pavilion in secret to make plans to the abandoned Temple of Athenais theme park. "So Crysilla, are you going to show us your new NetNavi?" Wisely asked, "I heard from Sapphire that you got a new NetNavi." "Yeah, her name is Taki but I'll show her later once we get there," Crysilla said.

- Green Town [Abandoned Temple of Athenais Theme Park] -

The Temple of Athenais was actually a Greek Theme temple modeled after the real Temple of Athena Nike. Before it was shut down and forgotten it was decorated with sculptures of the Goddess Athena sculpted along with other creatures of Mythology. Now it was abandoned and beyond repair, it states reflects the state of the Temple of Athena Nike with some parts of the statues missing.

"Man, this is creepy," Wisely shivered. "I know," Crysilla added, "It's like something out of a horror film." "Seriously? Why did you have to say horror film," Shard said creeped out. "Yeah, I remember when you and Opal watched a horror film marathon," BlueHero said with a mischievous smirk. "BlueHero, shut up!" Shard hissed. "What is this about a horror film marathon?" Rasp asked. "It's nothing," Shard quickly dismissed. "Alright, guys, find the Ancient Relic," Sapphire said, "Draco and Netto said it was somewhere in this area, so start searching."

"Oh, I forgot something," Crysilla said, "Here's my Navi, Taki." Taki shows up on Crysilla's left shoulder. She was a light blue and pink NetNavi. Her pink helmet resembled a winter cap with pink wave patterns and white fluff around the rim and a ball sticking out. Some curls of light blue hair were seen flowing from the back. Her face had fair skin but most of her body was covered by a black bodysuit. She wore a blue cloak that covers her upper arms and chest with dark blue stripes on the side. She wore a pink dress under it that reach her thighs. Over-the-knee beige socks with white fluff on the rim with cotton balls attached, pink winter boots. Her emblem was a blue star on a pink background with the ring being yellow. "So this is her?" Rollen smiled at her, "She looks cute." "Thank you, Rollen-san," Taki said abashedly. All of the NetNavis then started to introduce themselves. "Hello, Taki-chan! I'm FlowerGirl!" FlowerGirl greeted. "Greetings, my name is Gareth, Rollen-san's Net Navi," Gareth said. "Hi, my name is Kaida," Kaida said, "And this is Jaggedman, Rasp-kun's NetNavi." "Nice to meet you," Jaggedman said. "Yo, nice to meet you, I'm BlueHero!" BlueHero said. "Nice to meet you," KuroRock said with a flat tone. "And I'm Glacia, Corla's Net Navi," Glaica lastly said.

"Well, all of our Navis are now acquainted with Taki now let's go back to the investigation," Sapphire said. "We'll go into pairs, Crysilla will go with Wisely, Rasp with Corla, Opal and Shard and lastly I'll go with Rollen. Is everyone okay with these pairings?" "I'm okay being paired with Wisely," Crysilla said. "I have no problem being paired with Corla," Rasp said. "Good now, split up and find some clues," Sapphire said, "If any of you guys find something, alert the rest."

Shard and Opal start searching the Wisdom Library, an attraction in which you solve puzzles by the Eye-seeker Owl to advance to the next area. It was decorated with bookshelves that almost touched the ceiling filled with books and owl statues that used to be hidden cameras to look over the guests. "So this is the Wisdom Library," Shard said, "What are we going to find here?" "Well this is a puzzle-solving attraction, so we need to solve the puzzles to advance," Opal said. "But the place is shut down, there's no power," Shard points out. "True but this attraction doesn't run on the network," Opal said, "I did some extra research and noticed that door mechanism requires the old-fashioned button pressing mechanic. It seems to be manual and it doesn't seem to be automatic." "So all we do is find the password and type it to advance?" Shard asked. "Well, not exactly," Opal said, "Some of these machines need you to insert the correct objects to advance." "Really?" Shard said, "But I'm not good with Greek Mythology, oh man, we should have brought Corla, she's good at this stuff." "Don't worry, I'm sure this library will provide us some clues to unlock these mechanics," Opal said, "Maybe at the end will find the Ancient Relic."

Crysilla and Wisely were inside the Aphrodite Gift Shop, this used to be where the tourists would buy souvenirs and other trinkets to take home. There were racks of clothes, key chains, snow globes that feature the different Gods and goddesses. "Huh? Now, where is that Ancient Relic?" Crysilla said looking through the racks and empty shelves. "What am I kidding," the lime-haired girl said, "Why would it be here?" "Hey, Crysilla!" Wisely said, "Look at all these cute clothes!" Crysilla looks up to see Wisely holding up a hangar containing an aqua T-shirt of Aphrodite and Posiden in her left hand and a sleeveless, white shirt with an angel in her right hand. Around her arms were bracelets made out of fake gems and polished stones. "Wisely!" Crysilla hissed, "We shouldn't be ransacking the place!" "Why not?" Wisely said, "I mean this place is pretty much deserted and there's no one around but us. Come on, some of this merchandise is free for the taking!" Crysilla sighed, she was curious about some of the merchandise to take home but there was something wrong with taking stuff from an abandoned area. However, certain products seem to take her interest such as the mythical creatures including the Griffin and the Unicorn plus some based on real-life such as the Cardelius Bird. As Crysilla takes some of them off the shelf, she notices a small piece of the wall broken off to reveal a red button. "Is this a hidden switch?" Crysilla said. "Hey, Crysilla!" Wisely cried out, "I found some bags to put some of the stuff in." The albino-haired girl then notices Crysilla staring at something, "What's wrong?" "I found a switch," Crysilla said, "If it is pressed then will it lead to the Ancient Relic?" "Well, let's find out," Wisely said, "But first here are some bags to put the goodies in." Crysilla sighed as she didn't want to get into trouble but she silently went along so as not to attract attention. After stuffing the merchandise in the bags, Crysilla presses the button and a hidden door was reveal. "The switch revealed a door!" "I wonder where it leads?" Wisely said. Both of the girls walk in with their stuff in tow.

Rasp and Corla were checking the Apollo Cafeteria, back in the day this is where food was served to many patrons. It had the sight of Apollo Cafeteria with the statues of Swans and Crows around it. Now, the place was beyond repair as some of the letters of the cafeteria's logo were falling off and the statues were badly damaged. There were also noticeable holes on the floor. "This place doesn't look very safe to wander in," Rasp observed. "Well, we have to be extra careful," Corla said, "The Ancient Relic has to be around here somewhere." Corla and Rasp had to maneuver around the holes until they reach the Cafeteria. "Come on, there has to be a door in which the staff goes in and out. Both of them checked the back and saw the Employees only door. Corla opens the door and was in the kitchen with tiled floors, several oven island kitchens were lined up so the chiefs would cook the meals and desserts and a few fridges were lined to store the ingredients. A few pots and pans were either scattered on the floor or the counters unwashed. "So this is the kitchen?" Rasp said. Corla pinches her nose in disgust, "Yuck at least clean the dishes before you abandon them. Now, where could the Ancient Relic be?"

Rasp and Corla check around but found nothing. They check the bathrooms but nothing then they found a room in which the staff meets with the manager. It was just a small room with a desk lined with papers and a small computer, black and white carpet, a single potted plant next to the desk, beige walls, and a lamp. "Well at least there's something to plug into," Rasp said. Corla notices something odd when interacting with the computer, "It's still operational?" She turns it on and the screen brightens the darkroom. "Alright then, let's plug Glacia and Jaggedman to see if there's anything of use here."

"Plug-in! Glacia! Transmission!" Corla cried.

"Plug-in! Jaggedman! Transmission!" Rasp cried.

The infrared lasers escape their Watch PETs and entered the ports of the computer's CPU. Inside the network the two Navis notice that there were viruses around. Marumoko and some Cloudies were seen wandering the place. "Let's secure the area and look for any information," Glacia said. Jaggedman nods in agreement.

"Battle Chip, Sword, Slot-in!" Corla said as she slots a Sword Battle Chip into her P.E.T.

"Battle Chip, Flame Sword, Slot-in!" Rasp said as he slots a Flame Sword Battle Chip into his P.E.T.

Glacia and Jaggedman's arms glowed to match the chips their operators sent them. Glacia slices some Marumokos and a Cloudy while Jaggedman sliced all the Marumokos. Rasp then sends a Cannon to deal with the Cloudies.

"Alright, all the viruses are gone," Glacia said, "Now where is the data?" Jaggedman then notices a small dent in one of the walls. He walks up to it and pulls to reveal a device similar to a floppy disk. "Is this it?" the dark red Navi said as he holds up data. "That could be it," Glacia said as goes to examine it. She touches the device and looks through the documents. She then sends the data to Corla.

Corla looks through the data and to her disappointment nothing about the Ancient Relic just records about the employees that work here and other documents. "Nothing of interest?" Rasp said. "Nothing," Corla said, "Anything else Glacia?" "No, we searched every nook and cranny and there's nothing." "Nothing, huh," Corla said frowning at the lack of progress, "Plug out, Glacia." "You too, Jaggedman," Rasp said. Both Glacia and Jaggedman return to their respective PETs. "So now what?" Rasp asked. Corla gets up from the seat and looks around, "Maybe there's a hidden switch somewhere?" "Question is where?" Rasp said.

Rollen and Sapphire were at the Hephaestus Building before it was shut down for good, it was where the CEO meets up with the managers and other higher-ups to discuss planning for future projects. The building was now empty with parts of the ceiling with holes to see the foam and wires dangling, pipes can be seen with water leaking out, posters on the wall torn and the floors were beyond dirty. "Now, what to find here?" Rollen said. "Look thoroughly, there must be a hidden switch that leads to a secret passage," Sapphire said.

Both of them went to check the various rooms but so far nothing, they looked under furniture and behind lamps and potted plants. This process was repeated for the last four to five floors. When they reached the sixth floor on which the last manager of the park maintains the whole park. "Well, we're on the last floor that leads to the roof," Rollen said in disappointment, "Now where is the hidden switch?" "Keep looking," Sapphire said, "I believe the manager's room might find something." The manager's room had black and white, salt and pepper texture-like carpet, remnants of beige walls, and a white-tiled ceiling that had holes like all the other floors of the building. There was a wooden desk with some hidden cabinets, various piles of papers, and books amongst them was a computer. Behind it was bookshelves that covered the wall. "Let's check the computer, there has to be something there," Sapphire said.

"Plug-in! FlowerGirl! Transmission!" Sapphire cried.

"Plug-in, Gareth! Transmission!" Rollen cried.

The two operators point their PETs to the USB Port of the CPU Unit. The infrared rays from the PETs enter the Manger's Computer Network.

FlowerGirl and Gareth look around to see the Network, it was in disarray. Various viruses such as Garuus and Mettools were causing the damage. "Gareth, we need to get rid of the viruses!" FlowerGirl said. Gareth agrees as he and FlowerGirl use their standard weapons to slice through the viruses. After all of them were cleared, they notice a green switch in the middle in which a few Mettools were hacking their pick-axes. "Look there's the switch," FlowerGirl said, "I hope it leads to that path." FlowerGirl presses the button on the switch, a soft ping can be heard. Back in the real world, Sapphire and Rollen look behind them and saw a bookshelf slide to the right to reveal a hidden path. "There it is!" Sapphire said, "We better tell the others! FlowerGirl plug out!" "Plug out, Gareth," Rollen said. FlowerGirl and Gareth return to Sapphire and Rollen's PETs.

"FlowerGirl go send an email to the others," Sapphire said, "We found a secret path in the manager's room at the Hephaestus Building." "Got it," FlowerGirl said. She instantly sends emails to Crysilla, Rasp, Opal, Shard, Wisely, and Corla. She instantly got a response from Corla and Rasp as they will be there right away but the response from Opal, Shard, Wisely, and Crysilla worries her. Opal and Shard were in the middle of solving puzzles in the Wisdom Library and Wisely and Crysilla haven't responded yet. "Do we have to wait for them?" Rollen asked. "We'll wait for Corla and Rasp but Shard and Opal have to catch up," Sapphire said, "Though I'm worried that Wisely and Crysilla haven't replied yet." "I'm sure they're alright," Rollen said placing a reassuring hand on Sapphire's shoulder. Sapphire looks up and gives a small smile to him. "Yeah, you're right," Sapphire said. She then hears the sound footsteps of Corla and Rasp's progressing getting louder until they stop by the doorway. "We got your email," Corla said. "Did you get a response from the others?" Rasp asked with concern. "Well, I got one from Opal and Shard," Sapphire said, "But what concerns me is that I do not have a response from either Wisely or Crysilla." "Oh no," Corla said, "Don't tell me they ran into trouble." "I can't be too sure, but if maybe they found another hidden passage and are waiting for us at the other side," Sapphire suggested. "Although, I can't help but worried that they might be in danger," Rollen frowned, "I just hope they're okay." "Don't worry," Sapphire said, "I have faith that they can handle themselves. Now let's go see where this path leads to." All four of them then enter the pathway in a straight line, first Sapphire, second Rollen, third Rasp, and finally Corla.

Meanwhile, with Opal and Shard, both of them were advancing smoothly through the Wisdom Library's Puzzles. "Alright, here's the last one," Opal said. "I wonder what's on the other end?" Shard wondered, "I hope it's a way to the Ancient Relic." "Alright, the last puzzle is we need to find the pictures that match the description of the God or Goddess and insert it here," Opal reads, "So we need to find the correct ones and insert them into the machine." "Sounds good to me!" Shard said, "So what are the descriptions?" Opal reads the descriptions from left to right, "The first one says I am the Goddess of Vengence, I seek judgment on men who swore a false oath. The second is I am the God of the ancient city of Lamark where wounded heroes would seek safety, comfort, and heal from battle. The third one is I am the God of satire, mockery, censure, writers, and poets, and a spirit of evil-spirited blame and unfair criticism. And finally is 'I am the God of Vegetation, fruits of the earth and rebirth." "Man, I don't know any of those," Shard whined, "This is going to be harder than I thought." "Don't lose hope, there are probably some books that will give us clues on finding the pictures and putting them in the correct place." Opal noted, "Let's split up and find them." Shard nodded and the pair split up to find the clues.

Opal found a book titled Erinyes - The Furies of Vengence. She opens it with interest and the story starts with the origin of Erinyes. The Erinyes were a trio of goddesses called the Furies that bring punishment and retribution to men who brought crimes upon the natural order. Alecto of the Unceasing, Magaera the Grudge, and Tisiphone of Murder and Retribution. They were depicted as middle-aged women with wings on their back, with poisonous serpents in their hair and around their necks and waists. They were often dressed as maidens wearing the traditional Greek clothes of a huntress but their color was always black to signify their legion to Haides and his wife Persephone. "Erinyes," Opal noted, "Is this the answer to the first description?" She looks at the final pages and notices a picture of the three Furies forming a circle. "Yes, I found the first one," Opal said.

Shard looks around at a book that caught his interest, Dinlas - The Guardian God of Lamark. He opens the book and reads it. Dinlas was the son of Aphrodite that was cast away and served under Hades, God of the Underworld, and his wife, Persephone. Dinlas considered Hades to be his mentor and father figure and Persephone, the mother figure he always wanted. One day, Hades and Persephone decide to send Dinlas to the surface world to see how he would interact with the living mortals. Dinlas accepts the offer and goes to the surface. He goes to the Ancient City of Lamark in which he saw many warriors beaten and bruised from many battles, feeling sympathetic he helped the injured warriors heal their wounds. Over time, he grew fond of Lamark and appointed himself the Guardian God of the city. Every time a wounded warrior goes to the City of Lamark, they are treated well until they are fully healed and ready for the next battle. "Dinlas, Guardian God of Lamark, so this is this the answer to one of the descriptions?" Shard looks at the last pages and sees a picture of Dinlas with the depiction of a city in the background, "Yes, I found the second one. Now let's find the rest."

Opal ventures deeper into the vast hallways of bookshelves until her interest peaked when she saw another book that details a Greek God. She removes the book and reads it, 'Momus - God of Satire and Mockery'. She opens the books and reads them. Momus was a god with a sharp tongue that was filled with harsh and unfair criticism. This behavior was seen as unruly with the rest of the gods and goddesses and was later kicked out of Mt. Olympus. Momus was unhappy with this and decided to live with the rest of the humans where he would be carefully observing the different cultures and how they had their own social unrest. Momus decides to take his harsh criticism and turn it into a form of comedy in which they both understand the dark side of their culture and societal norms while laughing as well. This how the creation of Satire was created. "Momus had a way of turning criticism against society into a form of Satire," Opal commented, "Oh, there's the next picture." She takes on the last pages and sees a picture of Momus standing high on a stage. She takes it and puts the book back onto the shelf.

Shard ventures in the never-ending hallways, to his frustration it was a dead end but he saw a book sticking out from that bookshelf. He takes out that book and title read Attis - God of Vegetation and Rebirth. Attis was born from an almond tree and Nana, the daughter of the river-god Sangatirus, found him and raised him as her own. Later in life, he becomes friends with a he-goat in which he names Capri. As he grew older, he became a long-haired beauty. However, his beauty had caught the interest of Cybele (who was Agdistis in disguise) to have him for herself. But Attis had already fallen in love with The King of Pessimos's daughter and was arranging a marriage with her. Agdistis took the opportunity to kidnap Attis and brainwash him to fall in love with her. The King of Pessimos decides to help save Attis but Agdistis uses her armed and crested dancers called the Corybantes to defeat him. He managed to defeat them but one of them accidentally killed Attis. Agdistis felt regrettable and repented and decided his corpse should not rot or decay away. Attis was later reborn in the almond trees near Mount Agdistis. "Interesting, he was born and rebirth in the almond tree," Shard said, "though why do I feel that this was written differently for kids?" He then looks at the last pages of the book and sees a picture of a long-haired Attis next to an almond tree. "Alright, I think this is the last one," Shard said, "Hey BlueHero make sure Opal and KuroRock know we got two of the four pictures." "Roger," BlueHero said as he sent an email to Opal's PET. He instantly gets a response back saying that they have the other two. "Alright," Shard said, "Now we should join with Opal and KuroRock so we can solve the puzzle."

Both Opal and Shard regroup and slot the pictures under the correct description. Opal first inserts the picture of Erinyes under the first description and Momus under the third description. The Shard inserts the pictures of Dinlas under the second description and Attis under the fourth description. The machine lines up before being split in two to reveal a hidden pathway. "Alright," Shard said, "Let's hope it leads to the Ancient Relic." The two of them enter it which leads to a dark pathway.

Meanwhile, with Sapphire and her group, they were venturing deep into the dark depths of the hidden passage. "Ugh, it feels like we've been wondering for an hour," Rollen noted. "Does this path have an end?" Rasp said. "I hope, so," Corla said, "let's hope it leads to somewhere." "Wait I see light at the end," Sapphire said.

- The Ancient Relic (A Version) -

Indeed there was light at the end, as they got closer they saw a huge cave in which tree roots can be seen on the cave walls. But what caught Sapphire's eye was a huge platform that was carved in mysterious symbols with the corners have holes that were in different colors. On the upper left, the letter A was carved with emeralds, blue apatite, and turquoise gems adorning around it. On the upper right, the letter B was carved with alexandrite and red beryl gems. On the lower left, the letter C was carved with topaz, tourmaline, and citrine gems around it. On the lower left, the letter D was carved and adorned with purple and tanzanite gems. "Is this the Ancient Relic?" Rollen said. "It is!" Sapphire said.

The group sees Crysilla, Wisely, Opal and Shard already at the sight.

"Guys!" Crysilla waved. "Crysilla, Wisely, you're alright!" Sapphire said. "Well, duh," Wisely said. "Where did you get those bags from?" Rasp asked. "Well, Wisely had this bright idea to rob the souvenir shop," Crysilla pointed. "Hey, free for the taking," Wisely argued. "Even though, isn't that ransacking?" Opal points out.

"So this is the Ancient Relic?" Corla said, "So how do we activate it?" "I think we should find a keyhole," Sapphire said. She looks around the edges and finds a keyhole. She takes out the B Portal Key and inserts it into the hole. She turns the key to the left and the place rumbled. "What's going on?" Shard said. "Sapphire, did you do this?" Opal said. The four holes then glowed very brightly, the A Portal glowed aqua green, the B Portal radiated a red-violet, the C Portal illuminated a bright yellow, and the D Portal afterglow a purple light. "So this is the Portal System?" Corla said. "That's amazing!" Wisely said, "To think the park held such a secret."

Sapphire's eyes narrowed as she saw the C Portal's light glow intensified. Everyone quickly shields their eyes from the intensity. "What's going on?" Rollen cried. Sapphire lowers her arms and saw a silhouette that was about the size and height of an elementary boy. "Is that?"

"Onee-san!" the boy cried out as he runs towards the blue-haired girl.

A/N: I'll end the chapter there. As for the Books containing the legend of Erinyes, Dinlas, Momus, and Attis, I altered them to make a bit more to add more information, kid-friendly or appealing. Erinyes was the closest to its original only the description of their appearance changed to reflect the servitude to Hades and Persephone. For Dinlas I had to add more since there was not enough information on him only that he guards an ancient city of Lamark. Momus was slightly altered but most had stayed the same. Now Attis changed the most since it did feature self-castration, so I edited that part out to make it more kid-friendly.

In the next chapter, Netto and pals try to find Universe C's Ancient Relic but T.I.F.F. has caught on that he escaped from their clutches and is on a hot pursuit to capture him. Can they find the Ancient Relic in time before Netto gets captured for real?
