Harry wandered around the earth aimlessly. It had been years sense he had any purpose. The earth was wild now, no humans remained only plants and animals. Harry, himself, no longer was truly human. The Master of Death was something else altogether. He wondered what humans would have developed if not for the sickness. Magic or Muggle, it didn't matter.
As a child, Harry had thought that just having an animal that loved him would be enough. He had wanted love so badly, now Harry knew better. Nothing could truly replace another human being. Maybe it would have been better if Death would at least talk to him, but Death seemed to hate his Master. Harry didn't seem to think this was fair as it wasn't as if he had wanted the title and position. It didn't make a difference, no matter how much Harry pleaded with Death it didn't make a difference.
Harry had a few favorite places to hang out on earth and he was at his favorite currently. Before the sickness, it was the place known as Niagara Falls. As he was walking back from gathering his dinner he noticed someone at his campsite.
"Gabriel, to what do I owe this pleasure? You've never come to chat before."
"Harry, I need your help."
Harry just gave a slight nod of his head motioning for Gabriel to continue. He was confused but he wasn't going to let the high angel know.
"God is displeased about the sickness and death of the human race. We need you to go back and save the humans."
"How?" was the only response that Harry could give. When the sickness had wiped everyone out, he had looked into ways to time travel back to try and save everyone but he it was futile.
"With God all things are possible" Gabriel replied with a smirk, "but in all honestly, I am unsure of the exact methods. All I know is that you will be transformed back into your eleven year old self. You will need to re-defeat Voldemort and learn all you can about muggle and magical healing techniques."
"Will thirty years be enough to learn everything I need to stop the sickness? All of the healers and doctors in the world couldn't stop it, how am I supposed to. Besides, it took me seven years to take down Voldemort." Harry all but ranted.
Gabriel as always remained calm as he replied, "God is confident that you will be able to stop it. I don't know how but it will happen. As to defeating Voldemort, you will still remain Master of Death and that will give you greater control of the Horcrux. If you are amenable, after you go to sleep tonight you will wake up in your eleven year old body."
Harry sighed, there really wasn't much to argue. There was no point in being here and could he really make anything worse. He nodded slightly to Gabriel as he faded away. Harry supposed he'd better start planning if this was going to work out. He really didn't want to be left on his own again. Maybe, if he managed this one, when everyone died again, he would be able to hang out with the angels.
