The various hive forms will crossover with xenomorphs from aliens, zerg from starcraft and tyranids from warhammer 40k.
It was a dark summer night, I was walking home from the store one night after work. As I was walking past an ally doused in darkness, when out of the darkness came some kind of monster. It reminded me immediately of a xenomorph from the alien saga, with its greyish skin, exoskeletal armor and long skeletal tail that ended with a wickly sharp looking spear-like blade.
Backing away in fear I was suddenly paralyzed, my legs limply hanging in the air. Looking down in shock I saw its tail going into my abdomen lifting me up into the air, it gripped onto my shoulders and in a bout of agony its tail ripped through my torso, ripping me in half. Falling onto my back I saw my lower half falling above me, I was forced to witness as my stomach intestines oozed out of my lower half. Gasping in agony I glanced down at where my stomach should have been and saw my heart peaking out of the wound, staring in horrifying fascination at the fleshy pulsating of the vital organ that was beginning to slow down in its beating.
Finally, as my vision was fading away the monster had gotten bored and left, my heart gave its final beat and went still and my vision went black.
Next thing I know I'm gasping for oxygen, I laid there silently freaking out at what happened. After calming down I realized my vision was weird and looked down at my body and upon seeing the greyish skin with an exoskeletal armor I had another freak out.
After calming down again I spent the next several hours exploring my new body, discovering I had two arms ending in hand-like paws with four fingers with wicked looking claws, right below my arms I had two long scythes that were twice as long as my upper arms, inspecting my upper torso I saw I had a rib-like exoskeleton, going down I inspected my lower torso I found that there was a soft belly.
After finishing my inspection of my body I played with my new weird vision and quickly discovered that I had 360 degree vision, upon looking into a nearby river I saw I had a xenomorph-like domed head with no eyes. Something flicked behind me and then I felt the new limbs I had on my back, using my new 360 vision I saw I had a long bony tail with deadly spear-like blade on the end.
After some time I found the new muscles and suddenly out of some hidden armored pouches along my back two beautiful draconic wings snapped into place, unfurled them, testing my new limbs I soon found they were like my arms and hands. After furling my wings back up and snapped them back into the pouch.
Afterwards I discovered a dozen more hidden pouches hidden along my spine, six on each side, after experimenting for a while I found out they were tendrils with shark spear-like blades on the tips. Five minutes later I had gotten the hang of controlling the tendrils and had put them back into their sheath. Finally, I examined my legs, they were two digitigrade that ended with four toed paws with flesh ripping claws on each toe.
Now that I had finished examining my new body I decided to explore the surrounding area, tucking my scythe arms tightly against my sides I began in a random direction. Walking several miles I came upon something weird, it was an alone zerg larva being attacked by some kind of bear-like thing. Instinctively I ran towards the creature extending my right scythe out and slashed at its vulnerable soft underbelly, spilling its intestines. Pulling my scythe back I stared in slight shock at the crimson on the limb for a moment, before feeling the terror of the larva in the back of my mind. Realizing that I was the host of a hivemind and this zerg larva had connected to it, shaking my head as I digested this new realization and after a moment of trying to figure out how to work a hivemind.
'You, get behind me now!' I sent to the scared larva who quickly skittered behind me as the badly wounded creature lumbered over to me in a rage.
Whipping around my tail I stabbed it towards the bear thing, impaling it directly in its chest. The animal goes limp on my tail as the life leaves its eyes, pulling my tail out of the corpse. Checking the little larva over for any injuries and finding none I went over to examine the dead animal while I digested that I was now responsible for this larva, while checking the animals chest I found my tail had pierced it straight through its heart.
After thinking it over for a few hours I had came to a decision that since I was now responsible for this larva that I was going to make a full hive, after coming to this decision I was suddenly flooded by everything I needed to know about the hive.
