Marinette's POV:

Midnight. The town full of vampires. At least that is what the legend says. 300 years ago this town was called Midnight. Legend says, that vampires ruled the world back then. They were stopped by the mighty Ladybug! Yeah, a Ladybug. Well, it's a girl in a Ladybug costume. She wore a Ladybug mask and a ladybug dress. She defeated the master of the vampires and the others were back to humans. But, legend also says, that the soul of the master Vampire, was locked away and recently got released. Of course that's all bullshit to me. I never believed in Vampires and monsters, never. Until…..

Two years ago, a girl named Chloe Bourgeoi, made a drama club at school. And soon a lot of people, who I thought hated drama, joined the club. Alya and I never liked drama and we never wanted to join, but after a while our friends also joined and they became distant towards us. Soon a lot of people were in the drama club. We were always nerdy, but we became real nerds after all of our friends joined.

Our friends had jobs for us, but now, not anymore. We had to get some money, so I decided to babysit. Alya was against the idea, but they usually paid pretty good. I got to babysit Tikki, the younger sister of Adrien Agreste. Which meant I got to go into the Agreste Mansion. When Alya heard, that I was going to babysit at the Agreste Mansion, she couldn't believe it. She was a little mad at herself that she didn't set up for babysitting, but was happy for me anyways.

I got to babysit there every Friday, because their father was out and his assistant, Nathalie, was free. It was friday and I was excited to meet Tikki. Not Adrien. He was part of the drama club and Chloe's boyfriend. I wanted to avoid him as much as possible.

So it was friday night and I was standing in front of the Agreste Mansion. It was huge! My house would fit at least a hundred times in his. I exhaled shaikly and rang the doorbell. The front gate opened and I stepped in the front garden. Then the two front doors opened and I stepped in. Mister Agreste was standing on the stairs as I walked in.

"Miss Marinette Dupain-Cheng?" His voice was cold and dark, it scared me a little bit.

"Yes, that's me." I stood proudly and he gave no emotion.

"I hope you take good care of my children." He stated. I got a shiver down my spine when he said children.

"I promise I will not let anything happen to them."I said with a smile. He finally smiled and a little girl came out from behind him. "This is Tikki." The little girl shyly made her way down to me and I crouched so she could see my face better.

"Hi, Tikki. I'm Marinette, you're babysitter." I gave her a soft smile and she returned it immediately. She jumped up to me and hugged me tight. I returned the hug and looked back at mister Agreste.

"It looks like she likes you." He said with another smile. "I will be going now." He said and walked down the stairs and grabbed his coat. "My son, Adrien, is in his room. He is not very social, but he has a good heart. Please be patient with him." He had a worried face.

"Of course, Mister Agreste." I gave him another soft smile and he walked out the door.

"C'mon Mari! I wanna play with my dolls!" Tikki laughed and I joined her. We went to her room and started to play with her dolls.

"I'm gonna get you, Super Sparkle!" I said with a low and mean voice, that made her giggle.

"Not while I'm here!" She laughed and started to attack the doll in my hand.

"Nooooo!" I said dramatically and fell on the ground. Tikki jumped on top of me and started to tickle me. I laughed and she laughed.

"Could you be more quiet. I'm trying to study." A voice was heard from the door. Tikki stopped laughing and quickly hid behind me. "Jeez, you're supposed to be my age." I assumed it was Adrien.

"Were sorry. But a little fun never hurts anyone, Mister Agreste." I replied with a warm smile. He shrugged and mumbled something, that I couldn't understand. "I'm sorry. What was that?" I asked. He looked at me angry and Tikki hid even further behind me.

"I said, that you could call me Adrien, but now…" He trailed off. He looked at his feet and mumbled to himself.

"Sorry, I didn't hear you the first time." I apologized. He shrugged and walked out off the room. Tikki leaved her hiding spot and faced me with a sad face.

"My brother has been like that for a while. He's been mean and avoiding me." Her eyes started to tear up and I hugged her.

"It's okay, Tikki. It will blow off soon." I reassured her.

"But he's been like this for two years." She cried. I hugged her tight and put her on her bed.

"If you want to I could be you big sister." I released the hug and looked her in her purple eyes.

"Really?"

"Really really." She smiled again and I picked up the dolls. "Let's play! But a little quieter for your brother, okay?" She nodded and we started to whisper when we were playing. Soon after she fell asleep and I put on her pajamas and put her in bed. I cleaned up the dolls and put the light out. I stepped out of the room and the doorbell rang. Adrien came out of his room and ran down to see who it was. I looked at him questionly and he ignored me. The door opened and a pizza guy came in. Pizza? I never ordered pizza. Did Adrien? The pizza guy gave me a sickening smile and Adrien saw his glance to me. The pizza guy ran up the stairs towards me. He was lighting fast! But so was Adrien. Adrien kicked the guy and he fell down the stairs.

"What the-" I couldn't finish my sentence because Adrien pulled me in Tikki's room. And locked the door behind us. Tikki woke up and had a worried expression on her face.

"Who was that!?" I exclaimed. Adrien just sighed and sat on the floor. "Why did he attack me?" Adrien gave me a dead glare, but I was not taking my eyes of off him.

"Big Sister what's going on?" Tikki asked me. Adrien shot up and became very angry. But I ignored him.

"I don't know, Tikki. That's why I'm asking your brother." I gave him the same dead glare he gave me earlier and it worked on him. He sighed and sat on Tikki's desk.

"That guy is one of the boys in my school's drama club. He's a Vampire." I looked at him in disbelieve. And Tikki looked at him in fear.

"And you think I'm going to believe that?" I snapped at him.

"No, but it's the truth!"

"And how do you know that?" I was starting to get even more angry. He was scaring the crap out of Tikki!

"Because I'm a Vampire as well!" It was quiet. Tikki nor me new what to say. "Well, a fledgling at least. I'm not a fully Vampire and I don't plan to be one." He sighed again and there was banging heard on the door. The pizza guy wanted to come in!

"Your blood is special, Marinette. I can smell it, he can smell it, every Vampire knows!" He yelled as he tried to keep the door closed.

"My...blood is s-special?" I couldn't get it through my head what he said.

"Yes. And these guys wanna kidnap you so they can take it!" The door broke open and the Vampire made its way to me. Adrien hit the guy in the face and he fell on the ground, unconscious. He ran out of the room to the kitchen and grabbed a knife. He came back and stabbed him in the heart. He faded and me and Tikki were staring at the place where the pizza guy laid just a few moments ago.

"You believe me know?" His fangs were out and his eyes were yellow. I nodded and then my knees betrayed me. I fell to the ground and on my knees. How can this be true? How can Vampires actually exist? "We need to get you home." He kneeled down beside me and looked me in the eyes. His eyes were back to his normal green and his fangs were gone. He now had a worried look on his face.

"I need to stay here with Tikki." I snapped back to reality and you saw that Adrien wasn't hoping for that comment.

"You need to go back home. The rest of your family is there. They won't smell your blood if your parents are home." He was losing it. You could see that in his eyes.

"My job is to take care of Tikki. You can't make me." I crossed my arms and held my head up high with my eyes closed. What he did next I didn't expected. He grabbed me and held me up bridal style. "What are you doing?" I said with a small blush on my face.

"You can't walk. And I'm taking you home." He said, also with a small blush on his face. "Can you hold on your own, Tikki? I won't be gone long." Tikki nodded and I mouthed 'what' to her. Adrien walked out of the room with me in his arms. I didn't struggle. I knew it was useless, he was way stronger than me. He walked out the Mansion, lucky it was already dark outside. He walked me home and we didn't say anything to each other.

"I think I can walk now." I said, as we almost reached my house. He stopped and looked at me with a face that I hadn't seen on him before.

"Are you sure?" He asked with concern in his voice. My eyes were wide open and I nodded. He put me down and we walked along in silence. Although it was a comfortable silence.

"I think I'm good, from here on out." We almost reached my house. I didn't wanted him to know we're I lived. And I didn't want my parents to know a boy walked me home.

"Are you sure?" He asked again.

"Yes. My house is close by so…" I gave him a gesture to leave and he understood.

"Alright. See ya." He turned around and walked away. I sighed and walked to my house. I opened the door and stepped in.

"I'm home." I walked to my room and fell on my bed. I was exhausted. I closed my eyes and before I knew it, I fell asleep.
