Chapter 1 - A Familiar Face

Cambodia

"(Report of the mission: During the past months in a small region of cambodia certain gravitational distortions have called the attention of the government. Thanks to the information of the Ex-Agent of the NEST Maxima, we know that the place where the gravitational distortions have been happening could be linked to an old abandoned base that the NEST cartel was using to test their experiments during the year 2000. The Commander of The Mercenary group know as the Ikari Warriors has decided to take the case on his own hands. Sending his best soldiers to investigate what is happening in cambodia.)"

"Hey, Whippy! Are you sure this is the place?" - Asked Ralf to Whip who was driving the helicopter

"Yes! I'm sure this is the place where the gravitational distortions are coming from acording to the report commander Heidern gave us." - Whip

The Ikari Warriors had arrived in what was a dense forest.

"Alright, team. Here's the plan, we will divide ourselves to investigate this forest and find the abandoned NEST's base quickly." - Clark

"In case any of us finds in trouble, we will comunicate with these headsets." - Said Clark giving his partners a pair of headsets

"Is everything clear now?" - Clark

"Understand" - Said Ralf, Whip and Leona, each of them taking different roads of the forest searching for the abandoned NEST's base

Clark started to search for the abandoned base, after two hours in half of searching he would come across with a strange shadow who was watching him from afair

"Hey, you! Stop right there!" - Said Clark to the strange shadow who started run

Clark wasn't unable to find the shadow figure after this one went to a more dark place of the forest. Suddenly he heared a voice...

"Reppuken!"

"Argh!" - Said Clark being hitted with the attack of the stranger. Clark was sended flying and clashed with a tree, he manage to get a good look of the stranger that attacked him and was shocked for what he saw

"No! It can't be you!" - Said Clark looking at stranger who revealed himself to be Rugal Bernstein!

Rugal looked very different from the last time he saw the evil man. His shirt was dark purple and his pants were in a ocean blue color. His bionic eye that originally was in the place of his lost right eye was now in his left eye, the color of his bionic
eye was blue now accompanied by a scar around it. His right eye was now normal as if he had never lost it.

Clark decided to attack Rugal, but he finds himself outmatched. Rugal manages to showcase more combat skills than Clark and steals his headset before doing a counterattack sending Clark to the ground.

On the ground Clark notices that Rugal is still in combat position but he isn't attacking him. Confused he ask the man...

"Why are you not attacking? I thought that a sadist bastard like you didn't gave his opponents a chance to fight back!" - Said Clark getting up

"Why? That's a good question! You're one of my most hated enemies but there's no honor in defeating you while you lie down. Now get up and fight me!" - Rugal

Clark was totally confused after hearing Rugal's answer. He couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"(Is this man really the same Rugal Bernstein that died in 95? But wait, there's something really different about him! This weird and calm vibe that comes from him.)" - Clark thought looking a Rugal with more detail

"(He seens to know me but at the same time no. Is this the same Clark Still I know?)" - Thought Rugal looking at a confused Clark

Rugal realizing Clark's confusion decided to clear his doubts

"Who are you?" - Rugal

"What are you talking about!?" - Asked Clark after hearing Rugal's question

"Don't be a fool! You have been saying what you think, you're very different from the cold, calculating agent I know." - Rugal

Ikari Warrior's Marine Base

Heidern had reunited with Leona, Ralf and Whip in the marine base after calling them over. For everyones surprise Clark wasn't there.

"What happened to Clark? I though he was coming with you, Whippy!" - Asked Ralf

"And I thought he was coming with you." - Said Whip

"Silence! Leave the commander speak." - Said Leona stoping her partner's disscusion

"You need to return to the forest and search for Lieutenant Still before we can continue with the mission." - Said Heidern

In that moment the main computer recieved a call.

"Commander! We are recieving a call, is from Lieutenant Still!" - Said one of the soldiers to Heidern

"Take the call!" - Ordered Heidern

"Is me, Commander. We need to meet in the place where we arrived at cambodia. I didn't found the secret NEST base but I found someone else... Rugal!" - Clark

After hearing that name everybody froze up in shock.

"And don't worry, I'm not in harm. How do I say this?... Rugal is acting like a good guy more than a criminal." - Said Clark confused himself and Rugal who was hearing all

"Wait! Clark are you sure this is really Rugal!?" - Asked Ralf confused.

"Yes. Just come pick me out. I'm taking him to speak with the commander. He wants to speak with him and will come peacefully." - Clark

"Roger that! Wait for us, Lieutenant Still." - Said Whip

"Commander, any advice?" - Asked Leona

"Once you reunite with Lieutenant Still. Keep an eye on "him" all the time, don't trust Rugal. For all we know this could be a trick." - Said Heidern leaving the room

"Understood!" - Said Ralf, Whip and Leona leaving the base to go for Clark

Cambodia's Forest

"Alright, they should be here in an hour." - Said Clark looking at his wrist clock

"So, I'm a dangerous criminal?" - Asked Rugal curious

"Is complicated. We will discuss that once the reinforcements have arrived." - Clark

An hour passed an two helicopters arrived to Clark's ubication.

All the members of the Ikari Warriors came out of the helicopter pointing their guns towards Rugal

"Typical of the Ikari Warriors! Always refusing to accept their accounts as real gentlemen and warriors on the battlefield." - Said Rugal confusing everyone on the scene

"What is he talking about, Clark?" - Ralf

"Listen, this might be crazy but I think this man isn't the Rugal we all know." - Clark

"I have already questioned him. I was surprised by what I heared but taking the strange gravitational anomalies that occurred a few months ago into account. I think I know what is happening now." - Clark

The Ikari Warriors and Rugal go inside the helicopter returning to base.
