Backstory:

Born in Napoli to a mother and father who were both orphans, Alex had a moderate childhood. In 1937, after Mussolini came to power, things had gone from bad to worse for him and his family. Alex's father died after being hanged by Mussolini's collaborators.

His mother was sexually assaulted by a collaborator and had killed herself to protect her son. Alex was filled with blinding rage and a burning desire to avenge his parent's deaths.

He broke into the home of his mother's assaulter and brutally murdered his parents' killers making them suffer how his parents suffered by the collaborators' hand.

He immigrated to America and worked as honestly as he could, he worked as a paper boy in Little Italy until he graduated high school.

To hide his depression from losing his parents, he joined the Army at 17, he was stationed in the Philippines, he fought during the fall and fought hard against them. He fought against them alongside several other American soldiers. By the 6th month of the 3rd year, Alex and his fellow soldiers retreated from the Philippines.

They returned to the United States, Alex was determined to get back in the fight. He re-enlisted and heard about the paratroopers. He joined up and earned his wings.

Transferred to the 82nd Airborne Division in North Africa, they now wait for the dawn.

Personality:

Alex is a tough, no-nonsense fighter in the United States Army. Despite his sins of the past, he is a skilled and talented tactician with a little over 3 years of experience to back him up.

Alex hated the Italian regime under Benito Mussolini and desired to put a bullet in him for what lead to his parents' death. He hates nicknames and he has an intense hate for doing things by the book seeing that it slows down the war. He is determined to win and keep his men alive and get them home to their families safely.

He knows it won't be easy, but he knows, that he can only do all he can to win.
