A lifetime ago, Jack was happy. Then his world went to hell.

The plane crash, the big daddy monsters, Atlas, and Andrew Ryan. Andrew Ryan, His apparently illegitimate father. He was heading to confront Ryan, when something happened. Over the speakers Ryan had said, his voice echoing throughout Rapture, "Would you kindly find Atlas, and turn off that radio."

After that, there had been an unexpected change. He had found Atlas, who had turned out to be a conman called Frank Fontaine, and, with the help of Tenenbaum and the sisters he had saved, along with Lot 192, had managed to kill "Atlas". Afterward, he was going to head up to the surface to start a new life, when suddenly, he had been sucked into some weird tunnel. It was completely blue, with small grey pictures floating past.

CRASH!

Then, he suddenly flew right into one, and that brought him here, where he was currently lying face first in crates, filled with some colored crystals.

"Ughh," He said, getting to his feet, "Where am I?" He asked himself, brushing the dirt off his feet, Then taking a look around. It looked like some sort of warehouse, it was only then he noticed some people, staring at him like he had just fallen from the sky, which, well, he sort-of had…

He also noticed that the color of their hair was odd. One had green hair, another one had silver hair, despite him looking like a teenager, and the final one was wearing a red dress.

For a few tense moments, no one did anything. They were just staring each other down, Jack in the crates, The odd trio behind a table with a map on it. Then Natural Camouflage kicked in, and he disappeared.

"Find him!" Yelled the scary one, a fireball forming on her hand, the others quickly advancing on where he stood.

'Great,' He thought, 'They have plasmids on the surface too... '

(Emerald's point of view):

Emerald was certain of one thing: Cinder. Was. Pissed. The one thing that was supposed to be undiscoverable was their hideout, and then suddenly, this man here, possibly a spy, albeit not a very good one, falls from the ceiling, landing in a pile of dust crates. To make matters worse, he disappears immediately after seeing their plans.

Suddenly, he reappeared to the right, avoiding the barrage of fire from her weapon, to take cover behind a wall. She then attempted to use her semblance to trick him into seeing an army, but to her surprise, he charged straight ahead.

'This guy must be an idiot,' She thought, right before he did something that surprised both her, Mercury, and even Cinder herself.

(Jack's point of view):

The second he saw the group of splicers advancing toward him, he launched out Insect Swarm 3, and sent out an angry swarm of bees to distract them. Surprisingly, the bees passed right by the splicers, and homed in on an empty space. He pulled out his wrench, and was about to whack the closest splicer, when he heard a large scream, and the splicers disappeared. He turned to see what had happened, and noticed the green one trying to swat away the bees, which were attacking her at all ends.

"Get away from me!" She said to the bees, which kept attacking her in response. He didn't have any time to stare at the slightly amusing scene, as the grey one suddenly tried to hit him with a barrage of kicks. He was slightly caught off guard by his first few attacks, taking a bit of damage, but quickly counted with Electro Bolt 3, which he used to shock the teen, then used his wrench to whack him, instantly knocking him out and almost killing him with his Gene Tonics Electric Flesh 2 and Wrench Jockey 2. He then turned toward Red dress, who roared with rage, then, incredibly started to manipulate fire, trying to surround him in it.

'Well, that's not going to work,' He thought, as he ran straight through the flames and whipped out his machine gun, which he then unloaded on her. She screamed, and started attacking even more aggressively, which he thought was impossible.

"Time to cool off, lady!" He said, right before using Winter Blast 3 to freeze her in place. The ice only lasted for a surprising 3 seconds, but that was all he needed. With a swing of his wrench, he shattered her, scattering her into a thousand pieces of frozen flesh. Unexpectedly, a glowing thing popped out of nowhere, causing Jack to stumble back in surprise. As he prepared to attack, it suddenly just flew away.

He was about to question it, but then two people walked into the room.

"I just wish that, you know, she would just fall down some stairs and die!" The taller one, wearing a bowler hat, grey scarf, and white coat said to the smaller one, who was holding an umbrella and had white, pink, and brown hair, right before they noticed the room. A crate of dust layed out, contents spilled, Mercury Passed out, Emerald sobbing on the floor, and a man in a sweater, wielding a wrench, with a hand enveloped in frost, covered in bloody icicles.

"Okay," Roman Torchwick said, slowly walking backwards, with Neo in tow. "I think we'll just come back later…"

(Many hours later...)

"Is he gone Neo?" Roman asked, standing outside the room, tapping his foot impatiently. Neo nodded, not seeing anyone else. He sighed, stepping inside. The small brats were gone, but Cinders remains were starting to melt. Disgusting. He stopped and realized that with Cinder gone, there was nothing stopping him from taking all this Dust and Neo somewhere far, far away. But their was always his boss's boss... He shuddered at the thought of dealing with Cinder's boss, but realized another thing. That man had been powerful enough to take down Cinder. He didn't know what that thing was, but if it could beat Cinder, it could make for a powerful ally...

Clank!

Suddenly, he heard a strange noise. Motioning for Neo to cover him, he approached the source of the noise, underneath an empty crate. He quickly flipped it open to see an odd robot, with a rotor, small motor, and some sort of gun attached to it, attempting to fly, to no avail. Seeing an opportunity here, he opened the circuits, and, after a few times where he got zapped, the light on the robot turned green. Feeling confident, he took the crate off the robot, where it zipped up into the air, floating around the roof of the warehouse. Neo noticed the smile growing on Roman's face, and she liked where this was heading.

"Neo, grab the dust. I think we'll need it more than those mutts... "

(Somewhere in Vale):

Jack was not having a good time. He had no money, no food, and while his EVE had replenished a bit with his First Aid Kit, thanks to Medical Expert 3 and EVE Link 2, he had no true source of EVE other than his Hypos, so he had to use it sparingly. On top of that, he had nowhere to stay, right when it started to rain.

'Just my luck,' He thought, before dashing into an abandoned house, in what was probably the bad side of town. After getting a little dry, he checked to see what supplies he still had. He wasn't too worried about Ammo, as he had maxed out on it on a ammo bandito machine, but he only had 8 EVE hypos and 9 First Aid kits left. He decided to rest up for a bit, so he took back all his stuff, tried to get comfy, and slowly drifted off to sleep. If he had gone outside, he might have noticed the moon, shattered, but he didn't.

(Beacon Academy):

"What is it Ozpin?" Glynda Goodwitch said, having woken up in the middle of the night for this conversation. Honestly, the way he acts... However, the next thing he said surprised her.

"The Fall Maiden woke up," He said, a serious look on his face, while he sipped from his coffee mug. "She has been awake for more than 4 hours," He explained, taking another sip.

"Wait what? But that means that... " She said, unsure of her own conclusion.

"Yes, it means the one who stole the power of the Fall Maiden is now dead, yes. However, that begs the question: Who was powerful enough to defeat a person with half the power of a Maiden?" He stopped sipping his coffee to stare at the window.

"That person would make a powerful ally, or a dangerous enemy. Contact Qrow, we have to find out who did it, so we can arrange a meeting."

He chuckled, causing Goodwitch to flinch. Something bad always happens whenever he acts like this.

(Few days later):

"I wonder why we were called to the Headmaster's office, YANG." Wiess said, staring directly at the person in question.

"Believe it or not, I didn't make that hole in the wall, that was completely Nora's fault," Yang said, putting her arms behind her back as the elevator took them up to the Headmaster's office.

"Well, I guess it was Nora's hammer that knocked you into the wall, so I guess your sort-of right?" Ruby said, unsure of how what she had just said even made sense.

"Gee, thanks sis!"

"That's so not the point!"

"Umm, Guys?" Blake said, attempting half-heartedly to get their attention.

"What?" They all asked at the same time, suddenly realizing that while they were arguing, the elevator had reached the top.

"Ah, team RWBY, thank you for coming up here," Ozpin started. "Now, do any of you know why you are here?"

"N-no," Ruby and Yang replied, while Wiess simply pouted at their response.

"Well, the reason I called you here is because I would like to ask if you could accept a mission," Ozpin said, taking a small sip from his mug. "But if your to busy, I suppose I could ask another t-"

"We'll do it!" Ruby instantly yelled, to Wiess's disgust.

"Ruby! We don't even know what this mission is, and you're already agreeing to it?"

"Do you want to do the mission?" Blake said.

"Well, yes, but- oh, forget it."

"So, what's this mission?" Ruby asked.

"This mission is simple. You must go into Vale, and find this man." He handed Ruby a picture. It showed a camera that zoomed in on a man's face, but the quality was a bit poor due to the rain.

"What do we do if we find him?" Blake asked.

"Simply find him, do not engage, as he is possibly more powerful than all of you combined. Instead, contact Ms. Goodwitch once you have found him."

"All right, let's go find this Guy!" "Yeah!" They all said, some more enthusiastic than others, before they went back to the elevator. Ozpin sighed, then walked back to his desk, sipping his Coffee. He hoped those girls would be okay. He told himself that it was going to be okay, they were mature enough not to-

'Nope, they're going to die', he thought.

(Roman's secret hideout):

He had done it. He took off his wielding mask, and stared at his creation. He and Neo had to "borrow" certain parts from electronic stores, but it had worked. He had reverse-engineered the "Security bot". It beeped, then its engine turned on, and it flew into the ceiling, where it just started buzzing around along with the original.

"Yes!" He said. He wasn't the greatest at it, but he did have a knack for building things. There was only one thing that puzzled him. The bullets were not made of dust, but instead used a formula of gunpowder and other elements. He wondered about that when he heard a clatter, along with a swear. Neo quickly put up an illusion, and slowly walked up to see who had stumbled into their hideout.

"Quiet! You're going to announce that we're here with all that noise!"

"Well, it's not my fault that there was a small piece of metal! I slipped on it."

"How do you slip on it! It's not even dark."

"Fine, fine, I get it. So, why are we here again?"

"Remember? We got a tip that Torchwick is holed up here. Someone else also said that he's currently targeting certain electronics stores, and only stealing certain parts."

"What do you think he needs them for?"

"I don't know, but since it's Torchwick, probably something flashy."

That was it. He stepped out of Neo's illusion, and fired his cane, aiming at the two intruders, who appeared to be huntsmen, due to their looks and weapons. The attack missed, and the two men took out their weapons, but then the robots started to fire at the huntsmen, taking them by surprise when their aura did not stop the bullets that killed them in mere seconds.

In less than 10 seconds, the two huntsmen were dead. He didn't even see their aura break. It was like the bullets had just passed straight through their aura...

"Well, it looks like we've got a lot of work ahead of us Neo," He said, smiling at this new discovery. " We may need a bit more of this "Gunpowder formula"..."
