Sirens blared softly in the distance as the raven-haired woman stood on the edge of her balcony, one bare foot dangling dangerously off the edge. She leaned back, inhaling shakily.
How could she have done this? Kara, the one person, no, the ONLY person she could trust, had lied to her for almost four years straight. Best friends were supposed to confide in each other and share their deepest, darkest secrets. Not leave them in the dark. She told Kara that she hadn't come to National City to make friends, but she pierced through her steel heart, and when she opened up her heart, Kara completely shattered it. The night wind softly rustled her hair as she looked down at the traffic a hundred feet below her, her emerald eyes flooding with tears. If Kara didn't trust her, no one would. And there was no way she was working for her psychopath brother. She closed her eyes and let gravity pull her off the balcony. The wind pushed against her almost as if trying to prevent her from falling.
What the hell was she doing? Why had she jumped?
The pavement rose up to meet her and she closed her eyes. In that moment it seemed like time had stopped. Maybe it was the fact that she hadn't heard a loud smack as her body hit the concrete, but she didn't feel dead. In fact, it felt like electricity was coursing through her body. Lena opened her eyes and was taken aback when they were met with a pair of green ones. The man had her close to him, holding her bridal style.

"You ok?" A vibrating voice asked.
She shook her head. "I-I think so." Her eyes searched his masked face.
He set her down but kept a hand on her shoulder.
"Did you jump on purpose?"
Lena looked down at her hands, tears threatening to escape her eyes. He didn't need her to confirm it, he could tell by the way she held herself that she had.

"Thank you." She whispered, standing a little taller. "Can't say I expected you, let alone anyone, to save me. You're not the usual hero for this city."

At that he smiled, slightly showing his teeth. "No, I suppose I'm not. I was here visiting a friend and happened to come across you."

As soon as he had mentioned a "friend" Lena knew who he had meant. Superhero's don't come to National City to visit normal people. He must know Kara.

"Supergirl?" Her voice cracked slightly.

Barry saw the look on her face and immediately knew the woman standing in front of him was Lena Luthor. Kara had mentioned her multiple times that evening and how Lena had found out about her secret identity.

He swallowed. "Yeah."
Lena quirked an eyebrow at him and smiled slightly. "So, what's the name I use to thank you for saving my life?"

He grinned. "They call me The Flash."

"Well, thank you Flash. If it wasn't for you, I would be dead." There was a hint of bitterness in her voice. Possibly because she had hoped Supergirl would have been the one to save her.

"No problem at all." His tone turned serious. "Maybe next time try not to jump off on purpose? I know you're hurting, but she does care about you…" He stopped abruptly and winced. He had just confirmed that he knew about her and Kara. But to his surprise she decided not to question him about it.

"I won't." She turned to start walking but looked back at him behind her shoulder, her emerald eyes meeting his for a brief second. "And thank you again."

He smiled at her, then sped off back to Central City.
