Dozens of doorways seemed to pass him by as he sprinted down a hallway. His rattled breath seemed to echo around him.
He couldn't help it. He needed to run, to escape the clutches of the overbearing darkness. The figures of shadow seemed to stop chasing him, but he didn't dare take the chance.
Luxu had no clue of the danger that lay behind him, he only knew that if he hesitated, there was a possibility of dying.
Seeing a dim light emanating from a path on his right, the young teen bolted for a hopeful exit. Heaving in desperation, the boy found himself atop the foyer of a building. A chain fence seemed to outline the edge of the building.
Meandering forward, Luxu breathed deeply in order to catch his breath. Standing before the fence, he entangled his fingers through the metal and let his arm hang loose, he gripped the object in his palm.
Removing the hood from his head, the boy surveyed the sights; messy indigo hair framed his face with spiky locks; lightly pale skin almost glowing in the moonlight. His indigo eyes appear wistful almost seeing a past memory.
The skyline of a city outlined itself within the darkness. Various colors of light danced across the landscape. It had been a long time since he'd seen other people; he hoped they were friendly.
"Where am I supposed to be going?" he whispered.
Peering behind him, Luxu frowned. He no longer sensed any malicious presence, so the young teen chose to remain in the outskirts of the city.

Hello to all followers, both new and old! I have returned, though not in the way many of you would like.
I won't say I'm sorry for being inactive for so long, it's been strange dedicating time to work and other things freely since I am now my own boss. It's a strange transition, but I'm glad I did it.
Though now I have more free time, I'm now stuck in my head more often than not. Not sure if that's a good thing.
I've created and torn down parts I want to make into stories and it's been very frustrating.
I have another idea, and will explore it as I see fit.
