Hello Readers! This is my second fanfiction. This first chapter takes place a month before Xmen 2: United. If you haven't watched it, It's ok because I will continue the plot of X2 in my OC's perspective. Check out my first fanfiction Next Avengers Legacy. Unfortunately, I can't think of a plot for the sequel to Legacy. If you guys have any ideas on what to do for it, please private message (pm) me. If you have any suggestions for this Xmen fanfic, leave it in the comments or pm me if you like. Your comments mean so much to me, and encourage me to update. I will leave some teasers at the end of each chapter.
Enjoy!
Hi. I'm a mutant, and I'm a boy. I'm sixteen years old. I am in a facility. It is February 8, 2002. I'm locked up from the outside world. And I want to be free. Who am I? I-I don't know.
Chapter One
Bang!
(Whoever this boy is) jumped at the sound of an explosion. There seemed to be a storm brewing outside that he could hear with his enhanced hearing. The boy struggled to make sense of his surroundings. He seemed to be in a glass cage, strapped to an operating table.
"What the-" the boy trailed off. "Where am I? Who am I?" The boy looked at his arms to see faint black lines on his chest and arms. Stumbling off the table he heard people running outside of the room. He heard blasts and shouting. It sounded like a battle. The door burst open and a man in a black suit with a black visor which had a glowing red line in the center entered and spotted the boy.
"Uh, hi. I'm Cyclops. But you can call me Scott." The man said.
"Oh." The boy answered, still dizzy. Scott examined the lines on the boy's arms.
"What's your name?" Scott asked.
"I-I don't know." The boy asked.
"Ok, just come with me. We have to get you out of this horrible place." Scott answered.
"We?" The boy pondered. Scott pulled him out of the room into a larger room where two women with black suits like Scott were fighting a bunch of guards. The first woman had red hair and seemed to control the guards' gravity as the guards were pushed back by an invisible force. The Three strange people lead him to a large plane. The boy noticed that the second woman in black had white hair that stood out against her brown skin. The boy was buckled into a chair as the plane took off. The white-haired woman introduced herself.
"Hi, my name is Storm, but you can call me Ororo." The white-haired woman said. The boy frowned. Why did these people have odd names? Storm? Cyclops? The redhead was probably named Ulysses, like the story about Ulysses and the Cyclops.
"Do you know your name?" Storm asked.
"No."
"Do you know how old you are?"
"16. I think."
"Do you know that you're a mutant?"
"Yes."
"They must have brainwashed him." The red-haired woman, named Jean suggested.
"What's five plus three?" Scott asked.
"Eight." The boy quickly answered,
"What's the square root of 16 divided by 2 multiplied by 3?"
"6."
"Well, he's good with numbers," Scott confirmed.
"Do you remember anything about yourself? Do you have any family?" Jean asked. The boy shook his head.
"What should we call you?" Ororo asked. The boy thought for a second.
"My name starts with K. I think it's Kyle."
The strange people said they were mutants like him. Kyle learned that he had been kidnapped and experimented on by an evil organization.
"Do you know your mutant powers?" Storm asked.
"No."
"We're taking you to a mansion, which is where other mutants like us live," Jean said from the cockpit. Kyle just nodded everything they said until he fell asleep in the chair. When he woke up, the plane was landing.
"Welcome to Xavier's School for gifted youngsters," Scott said. Kyle frowned. It was pitch black outside and he didn't see much. The plane hovered above a basketball court. The basketball court split in half as the plane landed under it. Kyle followed the X-men into the basement of the mansion. A bald man in a wheelchair approached them.
"Welcome, Kyle." The old man introduced himself. "I am Professor Charles Xavier."
"How do you know my name?" Kyle asked.
"You barely know your own name." Professor Xavier answered. "But we can help you remember. Follow me."
Kyle warily turned to look at Scott, Jean, and Ororo, but they nodded to follow him, and then they left. Kyle followed the man down the grayish-blue hallway with white highlights. Professor Xavier continued to talk as he took Kyle up the elevator.
"The reason I knew your name is because I am a telepath," Xavier said.
"Telepath… like telepathy? You can read minds?" Kyle exclaimed.
"Yes. I have a machine called Cerebro which empowers my telepathic abilities to find the minds of every mutant and human on Earth. That is how I discovered you, locked up in a facility, experimented on, brainwashed-"
"Can you bring my memories back?" Kyle asked.
"It will take time, but not today. It's four in the morning. You'll need some rest." Professor X said. The telepath led Kyle out of the elevator into the main floor of the mansion. The walls were brown. It almost looked like the 1st floor of a hotel. Xavier led Kyle to a bedroom.
"You'll stay the night in here. There are clothes in the drawer over there. You will want to change out of these lab rags."
"Why are you helping me?" Kyle blurted out.
"Because the human race despises mutants, simply because they are scared of us. I created this school to give young mutants a new look at life. Scott and Jean were my first students at the mansion. I believe that there is hope and that one day, mutants and humans will be treated the same. When I found you when I used Cerebro, these scientists were experimenting on you. Some type of surgery."
"What did you see?" Kyle asked.
"I will tell you another time. But you need some rest. I'll give you a tour tomorrow morning." The professor left the room and closed the door behind him. Kyle changed out of the white clothes he had been in and put on a brown pair of pajamas. While he did that, he studied the faded black lines on his arms, legs, and chest in the mirror. Kyle sighed as he rubbed his eyes. He needed some sleep. Maybe he would remember everything in the morning.
Meanwhile, Professor X went into the basement to talk to Scott, Jean, and Storm.
"He's been through a lot." the professor said.
"Is he sleeping?" Jean asked.
"Yes. He wants to know about what they did to him in the facility." Xavier said.
"What happened to him?" Scott asked.
"We will do an x-ray on him tomorrow. But for now, get some rest, all of you."
Ok, This chapter was boring and short, but don't leave yet! It will continue into the X2 plot very soon. I'll update every week on the weekends.
Here's the teasers:
"Take off your shirt,"
"Does he know about the katana-shaped blades in his wrists?"
"HEY! What's going on here?"
Don't worry folks! This story is staying T for teen. I know the first teaser sounds like something 18+ is going to happen, but trust me, Nothing sexual is going to happen to Kyle.
See ya! Tell me what you think so far! I'll update twice a week if I can get 20 favs or follows for this story.
