A/N: Hi! Generic Disclaimer here. I don't own Ninjago. At all. What I do have is a rather intense imagination. This is a sequel to my story Star Ella and the Tournament of Elements. Please read that to understand some of the things that will be referred to in here!
Ella
Prologue: Twins on Board...

My eyes snapped open as I stared blankly up at the ceiling. It was just a dream... just a dream...nothing like that will happen ever... not possible... "Ella? Did you have the nightmare again?" A soft voice sliced through the air, nearly startling me.

Rolling over, I looked across the room at my much taller, and prettier, sister. Star's blonde hair appeared to be a mess, but since it was the middle of the night, I wasn't too surprised. "I'm fine Star...honest."

"If you say so." Star stayed in her bed for a minute, before hopping over to mine, crawling into squeeze between me and the wall. "So...I know Uncle Ryder told us not to go looking for Mom and Dad's murderers, but I was wondering if maybe... it's been so long since we worked on a case. And honestly, I am absolutely..."

"Bored stiff." I gave a wan smile as I read my sister's emotions as clear as day. That was the thing about us though, we weren't your everyday set of fraternal twins, we were elemental masters and a smidgen too adapt at using our powers. I could read the emotions of people as if they were an open book, there was no hiding them from me, though it did come with some serious side effects. Star on the other hand could change one's emotions. For some reason, no one ever bullied us because of this.

I pushed myself up into a sitting position, glancing around the small bedroom that we shared aboard the Ninjas newest flying ship. Our uncle had a rather high profile case that left him too busy to watch us, so he had sent us to stay with the ninjas until further notice. "Honestly... you're right when you mention the boredom. Besides that, with your dance club and pageants, it's like I never get to see you anymore."

"I know, right? By the way... Uncle Ryder says that you need to find some kind of after school activity to do so you're not alone so much of the time." Star placed her cheek against my pillow, forcing herself to look at me.

I laid back down, staring at her in the dark room. "I'm not lonely...and none of the options that the school has intrigues me. Besides that... where are you going to find the time to solve the world's greatest mystery? You volunteered to be on the decorating detail for the upcoming school dance."

"Ella... you've got to stop worrying about me finding time to do the things that I like. Besides that... decorating for the dance is going to be the closest thing to going to it that I'm gonna get."

"Wow... miss popular doesn't think she'll get a date in time. Come on... you know that the guys at the school are already lining up to ask you out." I lightly punched her in the shoulder, causing a snort of laughter to escape her.

"Go to sleep little sister." Star yawned as she closed her eyes.

I rolled my eyes at her as I snuggled closer to my blanket, a mumbled response automatically escaping me. "I was born first."

Hectic mornings doesn't even begin to describe breakfast with the ninjas. Lloyd barely glanced over at us as he opened the fridge door, a shout escaping him. "Milk!" He pulled the pitcher of milk out, which for some reason had a leak proof lid... and tossed it to Cole who responded by throwing the milk at Nya.

"Milk!" Hmm, that must be why the milk had a leak proof lid. The ninjas had a tendency to toss it as if it were a ball. "Cereal!" I ducked at the last minute, just barely missing getting hit in the head by the flying box of cereal.

"Anyone want orange juice?" Lloyd pulled the carton of juice out of the fridge. The ninjas all shook their heads, minus Zane, who nodded in affirmative. Lloyd tossed the carton at him, which he easily caught.

Star nudged me, nodding discreetly to two empty chairs at the table that didn't appear to be in the way of the ninjas breakfast tossing. I nodded in agreement, moving to sit down with her. Kai stifled a yawn as he turned the coffee machine on. "I really need coffee. Last night's patrol ended up with three different bank robberies, and the museum was broken into...and some idiot tried to break into Cyrus's office. Course, Pix was already on the scene there since she was working the night shift or something for him."

Jay flopped down next to us, pouring himself a rather generous glass of milk. "How long till graduation you two?" That appeared to make the others remember that we were there as well, and not just them.

Star lifted a shoulder up in a shrug, a warm smile in place to hide her anxiety. "Four more months. Then we're off to college."

"Cool. Anyone want any waffles instead of cereal?" Cole asked as he opened the freezer, pulling out a box of frozen waffles.

"Yes please!" Lloyd eagerly agreed, excitement flooding him.

"I think I'll stick with cereal..." I mumbled as I grabbed a bowl and poured myself a bowl. Star quickly copied me, worry over how they were going to get the plates, forks, and knives to the table flooding off of her. We probably should eat quick so as not to find out.

I just about passed out as we stepped off of the Bounty in front of our high school. Star noticed that I was struggling to breath again, and quickly leapt into action. "Hey! Come on guys! I though we've been over this before! We're spending the next couple of weeks with the ninjas...so don't be so surprised when we show up in the Bounty instead of the bus!" She rolled her eyes as she draped her arm around my shoulders, guiding me past the gawking crowds into the school.

Once we were safely inside, I took in a deep breath, grateful that it wasn't too runover with emotions. "Why can't I be more like you and just not be affected by, well...that."

Star snorted as she stopped at her locker, quickly spinning the dial. "Sorry...doesn't work that way. You can sense the emotions of others... I can't do that. I can affect t their emotions, change them to be more helpful for me, but I just can't sense them."

I sighed at that, knowing what she said was true. Sensei Wu had even commented on the way the power of emotions was split between us, as well as the fact that the way it had split appeared to be protecting us from the health problems that the past Masters of Emotions had to deal with. "Fine. Just promise me one thing..."

"Anything. What is it?" Star turned to look at me, a warm smile on her features.

"Can we eat breakfast here tomorrow?"
