"Get up."

The voice came from an angry hazel-eyed bomber who is in his 30's, wearing a grayish-green Bomber Helmet with a brownish-black cowboy hat on top, a hunter green buttoned shirt with a black jacket overneath, blue jeans and brown boots and gloves.

On the stool is another bomber but with blue eyes and wears a blue helmet, wearing a white shirt with red sleeves and a pair of red shorts. He, along with the grayish-green bomber, appears to be in some sort of a basement.

"What do you want this time, Jasper?" Said the blue bomber, who is woken up from his slumber, "It's almost midnight. Do you want me to wash the dishes? Does your pet Buroru want to be fed, again?" The angry blue bomber gets up from the stool and began to point at his tormentor with an angrier tone to his voice, "Or how about YOU getting me a bed to sleep in for a change?!" He shouted, "I'm tired of sleeping on a stool all the time!"

Jasper tries his best to hold his laughter, "I told you, I'll give you a bed if you help us with our crimes, such as robbing banks and stealing Louies and Tirras from the Peace Town animal ranch!"

"Do you realize that Bomberman is also aware of your crimes?!"

"I can care less." Jasper replied while crossing his arms, "My men can take care of him when he interferes."

"You haven't seen what he's really capable of, Jasper. He's been saving the Bomber Nebula for years and everyone is thankful for that. You should be happy that you're alive because of him!"

Jasper harrumphed, "He's wasting his entire life for this nonsense. He needs to realize that not everyone can be saved."

A strange plant bomber walks into the room, clad in rustic gray and green and has a patch of moss on top of his head. His most distinguishing feature is a green tail with a yellow flower at the end. His face is similar to that of Magnet Bomber's, only with green eyes. "They're arguing again," He sighed, as he watches Jasper and the captive blue bomber bickering at each other. "This is unnecessary."

"Weren't you supposed to be the "cool and nihilistic nice guy", huh, Bomb Gunman? Where did the "nihilistic" part go, anyway? All of White Bomberman's actions are meaningless. Very much meaningless, and it makes me sick. Bagura should've gotten rid of him when he got the chance. Karat Diamond and the Five Dastardly Bombers, too."

"They can capture him all they want, but he can still stop them afterwards, Jasper!" Bomb Gunman retorted.

"Say what you want about him, but in my opinion he never made a positive impact in my entire life!" What Jasper said about Bomberman shocked him to his core.

"Not even once?" Gunman said with eyes widened.

Jasper closed his eyes, "Nope. Not even once."

"Not even once?" Moss Bomber thought to himself, "I'm more worried about Bomb Gunman's life than yours..."

"Jasper..." Gunman yawned, "Give me a reason why you woke me up. I need to go back to sleep."

"I want you to wash the dishes, then you can go back to sleep!" Jasper snapped, tormenting the poor blue bomber even further by doing chores for him, in the middle of the night, of all things.

"That's quite enough, Jasper." Moss Bomber steps in to end the argument.

"Moss?" Jasper raised his eyebrows.

"I did the laundry, washed the dishes, and fed your Buroru and i cleaned the toilets." Moss told Jasper he did all the chores so Bomb Gunman doesn't have to do them in the middle of the night, of all things. He turned his attention to sleepy blue bomber, "You can go back to sleep now, Gunman."

Gunman breathes out a sigh of relief, "You're a lifesaver, Moss. Thank you so much."

"You're welcome. I'll be upstairs." Both Moss and Jasper leave the basement. Gunman crossed his arms, before one of them turned the light switch off, leaving him in the dark. The whole argument left him unsatisfied, he turned around and let out a loud "Hmph!" before going back to sleep.

In Moss Bomber's room, Jasper began to have second thoughts about keeping Bomb Gunman in captivity any longer.

"How long are you going to keep him here, Jasper?" Moss said with a worried tone, "It's been 4-and-a-half years since you and the others captured him."

The gray-green bomber let out a sigh, "I kept saying we weren't going to let him go, Moss, but now he's a real pain in the neck! But i guess it's time we should really let him go..." He pulls out his preferred weapon, a black, futuristic hunting rifle, "With THIS!"

Moss gasped in fear, "Are you insane, Jasper?!"

"Let's face it," Jasper explained to the frightened bio-mechanical bomber, "Bomb Gunman doesn't want to help us with our crimes. Even with his incredible 0.2 second Bomb Shoot, he's not worth jack anymore. I was a fool to believe that he can use his skills to help us commit crimes! But no, he doesn't want to, because he's part of the stupid World Bombers!"

"That's what kept him alive in the first place, Jasper! The World Bombers are his friends-no-his family! They're probably the only family he ever had in his life!"

Little did they know that their entire conversation is heard by Gunman, who was trying to fall asleep on a makeshift bed he made with the stool as a pillow and a few crates as the mattress. He knows that Jasper is finally done with him and wants to shoot him with his rifle in the morning hours.

"Moss is right..." He stood up from his makeshift bed, "The World Bombers are my family! I need to find a way to get out of this hideout without Jasper knowing it..." He got off the bed and tried to come up with an escape plan.

"I have some important matters to attend to tomorrow morning. Good night, Moss."

"Good night, Jasper." Moss said sadly.

Jasper leaves the room for the night, leaving Moss Bomber alone in his room, fearing for Bomb Gunman's life.

"How am i gonna tell Greis and Duster about Gunman's fate tomorrow? It feels like Jasper's going to take away the only strong father figure that Greis ever had... It's heartbreaking. And the World Bombers are also going to lose their friend as well..."

If only...

Back in the basement, Bomb Gunman sees a possible underground exit barricaded by a rusty, steel gate, and it's also blocked by a wooden drawer, which is something that Jasper and his men rarely pay attention to.

He also thought that using a bomb to destroy the gate and the drawer are out of the question because the explosions will wake Jasper from his slumber. He didn't want to risk getting caught (and getting shot) by him. He needs something quieter than bombs. He pushed the drawer to another side of the room, letting out a huge sigh before rummaging through the boxes and the wood bucket.

"I need something like... Oh!" He stopped as he saw something that'll help him escape; a small panel with a brick wall icon with dash lines.

"A Block Pass!" He yelped quietly. The Block Pass gives its user the ability to walk through "soft blocks'', and is often used for bombers (including Bomberman himself) to sneak up on monsters and it reduces their time to find upgrades for their bombs and their abilities. But can it be used for passing through other obstacles, like rusty, steel bars?

It wouldn't hurt to try.

With the Block Pass in hand, he finally has an idea on how to escape from Jasper "Gunpowder" Jones' hideout, and it might save his life...

Gunman has changed from his sleepwear to a mostly dark-colored western attire to avoid being detected in the dark; a white buttoned shirt with a yellow bandolier and black jacket overneath, dark blue jeans, and black boots, gloves, and a black cowboy hat with a yellow bandolier surrounding the crown.

"Moss," he thought to himself with his eyes closed, "Take care of Greis for me..." At first, he didn't want to leave the only two members of Jasper's outlaws who were kind and understanding to him, and he hoped that one day Moss and Greis would leave Jasper and his men to join him and the World Bombers.

With the Block Pass in his possession, Bomb Gunman became invisible and his weight is light as a feather. He walked right through the steel bars! He didn't feel a thing, either!

As he walked further away from the gate, the path ahead became darker and darker, to the point that he can't see anymore. Thankfully, Gunman picked up an old lantern from the ground, and lit it up with a match.

His escape from Jasper and his men has only just begun.

Something's gotta change...
