Betty Cooper will probably need a therapist for the rest of her life. It is also safe to say that Betty Cooper was having a bad day, to be fair, they all were. Though no one argued that Betty had gotten the worst of it, considering everything that went down with her father last night which ended in him being shot by Penelope Blossom. She hasn't said much since leaving for the sisters of quiet mercy, and to be honest... she was still in shock when she got there. After watching her father get killed, adding her missing mother and sister to that just, well... killed her. Jughead could see this, feel her slipping away, and when she broke down in his arms, sobbing, he hugged her tight. He didn't let go after that though, because he could feel her starting to shake, then she began to seize, and then he felt her go limp in his arms.

"Betts? Betty, talk to me. Crap... babe, what's wrong?" He asked, trying to get a response from her. At the same time shocking the group out of the silence that formed from what Kevin had just said. They noticed as instead of loosening his grip on her, he slowly began to kneel down to the ground, so that he could bring her down to the floor gently. Everyone in the group, including Kevin, looked at her, then looked to Jughead. Everyone's eyes going wide with both concern at his random outburst and at the realization that something was seriously wrong with the youngest Cooper girl.

"Jughead? Jughead, What's wrong? What happened to Betty?" Kevin asked him with concern etched on his face in realization.

Jughead Jones sat there for a only a split second before making his decision about what to do. It was like his super power, Jughead Jones always had a plan.

"Guys..." He started slowly, still holding onto an unconscious Betty, while looking up at the people the room, settling his eyes first on Toni and Cheryl, "...I need you two to both go right now, and take Kevin with you, so that you can help him pack all of his stuff up" he stated while trying to keep things calm in the room.

They all just continued to look at Betty, then at Jughead, and they could tell something was seriously wrong.

"But Jones, She just pass..." Toni started, still staring at Betty sadly and worried before turning her attention to Jughead.

He just looked at her and shook his head. "Please, Toni!"

Toni looked like she was about to protest more, but he cut her off "I know that you and Cheryl want to help her, I really do, but right now Kevin also needs help and to get the hell out of here too. Just take him to the Cooper's old house and wait for us there. On the way, call my dad and tell him to get over here now." He said with urgency and speed in his voice, handing her his home key from his position on the floor.

Toni gave him a nod and started to leave, But not before Jughead said "Oh! Before you go... one last thing." sounding serious.

"Yeah Jones?" Toni asks.

"Don't you dare wake up my eleven year old sister at five o'clock in the morning! No mater what. I don't care what happens. She is in the second room on the left if you need to go upstairs, in Polly's old room. If you wake her up, so help me god I will kick you two out of the gang, again. Do you hear me?" he says, sounding like the protective older brother that he is.

"Sure thing, won't be a problem, Jughead." Cheryl says, looking somewhat pale.

Once Toni and Cheryl has taken Kevin away and were gone, he then turned his attention to Veronica and Archie as he knelt with the youngest cooper girl in front of them.

Archie looked at Jughead with concern, "Jughead, seriously, what happened to her?" Archie asked.

Jughead just looks at the two of them, "She started shaking a lot, seized, and then passed out while I was still holding on to her." he states grimly as he laid Betty down and started to check on her pulse and made sure that she was breathing.

Veronica looked like she was moments away from a major freak out, and when Jughead finished checking Bettys vital signs, that's when she lost it.

"FORSYTHE PENDLETON JONES THE THIRD! WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ACTING SO CALM ABOUT THE FACT THAT BETTY JUST HAD A MINI SEIZURE AND THEN PASSED OUT? ON THAT NOTE...WHY ARE WE NOT CALLING 911 RIGHT NOW!?" she screamed at him.

Jughead gives her a look that could kill, "Veronica, listen to me. Her heart IS still beating, she IS still breathing. I could feel that, and I could hear that. Ok? I really didn't want to panic anyone, because WE BARELY JUST SURVIVED THE LITERAL HELL ON EARTH THAT WAS PENELOPE BLOSSOM KIDNAPING US FOR AN ENTIRE DAMN NIGHT, ALICE, POLLY, AND EVERY OTHER MEMBER OF THE FARM IS MISSING, AND KEVIN WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF HAVING HIS OWN FUCKING MELTDOWN!" he says, clearly angry and probably feeling a lot of other strong emotions, they all were.

He takes a deep breath to try and calm himself down, "...and this isn't the first time that this has happened to her either." he adds in barely a whisper.

He looks down at Betty for a minute, and then says louder, "I just want her to wake up first, and then I want us to take her back home so that she can sleep. All taking her to the hospital would do is just stress her out even more than she already is. She will probably wake up (hopefully... he adds to himself.) in a minute or two and she's already been out for at least 40 seconds. Once she does wake up, then we can take her home. I will admit, maybe going to a hospital so they can check her out first would be a good idea if she doesn't wake up in the next three minutes, but only if she wants too." He finishes saying, desperately pleading with the young raven haired girl to calm down.

Archie looks blown away by the speech, "Jug... that actually makes a lot of sense." He says, then looking at Veronica and seeing the stress and worry in her face, he takes her hands.

"Ronnie it's really ok, she is going to be ok." He calmly assures her.

Jughead sighs and frowns at them sadly, hating that he has to burst Archies bubble with the hard reality of this situation, but someone has to say it. "Guys, listen... we three may have survived a really hellish time in the woods... where we did almost die." He pauses "What with Veronica drinking literal poison, Archie fighting a... whatever or whomever the hell that drugged up guy was, and me fighting against Chic in a match to the death, but Betty?"

He stops his speach, trying catching his breath as he shakes his head while he looks down at her unconcious form.

"Betty had to watch as Archie got beat up. Then she had to play that stupid spin the bottle game with Veronica, where she almost had to drink what we all thought was a rapid acting venom poison because she ended up with the last bottle. She had to watch the person who she thought was her brother and then turned out to be the person that murdered her brother as he tried to strangle me to death, and he almost succeed. All of this happened before she was picking up a gun, having her serial killer father talk to her and point a gun at her, and then hear him tell her to shoot him or else he would kill her and all of us. She shot him in the hand, and then watched as Penelope Blossom shot him in the head. She was then running for her life and just found out that her crazy cult obsessed mother and sister are gone too." He stops agian for a sec, takes another breath, then continues, "You guys, that was only what has happened to her tonight."

Archie and Veronica are looking at Jughead in awe, and in terrible realization.

"That's not considering everything about her past, or even just this year. Everything that has happed with her mom, her dad, and her sister. The Aderall her mom forced her to start taking sophomore year that caused her to get addicted and create a fake doctor so she could get more refills."

"Oh my god," Veronica says.

"I knew about her family drama... but Aderall? Jesus, when did that all start Jughead? Why didn't she tell anyone about it?" Archie asks.

"Well, she told me. First day of sophomore year, apparently. Her mom handed a bottle to her along with a pile of SAT study books" he says with evident distain towards Alice. "But there's more. That's not considering the horrible things that her dad forced her to do when he was blackmailing her as the black hood. That's not considering the constant stress she feels because she's always trying to please her mom, trying to be perfect all the time for everyone else around her. That's not including her getting sent to the sisters of quiet mercy against her will by her mom. That's not even including getting kidnapped and almost killed by the farm, yesterday! It doesn't even include the self harm she does to her palms as her way of cop..."

he stops suddenly as he realizes what he's started to say and looks up to see two faces, both of with wide eyes and even paler than normal complexions.

"Shit Jug, that's..." Archie says as he looks down at Betty and takes her hand.

Veronica gets up and sits back down at her other side and then takes her other hand. "What about her palms?" Veronica questions.

"Take a look." Jughead gently takes one of Betty's hands from Archie and flips it over, showing them the deep red crescents that had been freshly dug into her palm before giving it back to him.

Veronica stifles a gasp with her hand as Archie inspects the hand he is holding. Jughead looks at them with sad eyes, felling horrible for both his beautiful girlfriend and his two friends that look helpless to save her from all of her demons.

"Guys, I know we all have shit to deal with, but Betty..." Jughead smiles sadly and looks over at Betty, his Juliet, his serpent queen, his love. "...Betty makes all of our situations..." he looks at Veronica "..with her mobster, freshly divorced and fractured, pathologically lying families. Trying to taking down her mob boss father while trying to save her mother" he looks down "Or my drunk father, my absent drug dealing mother, and my hurting sister. While I was living on the streets, trying to save my said drunk father while trying to get my mom and sister back into my life and living here again." He looks at Archie " or his divorced parents, one in Chicago and the other trying to save the whole town of riverdale. While he's disagreeing with his dad and his friends political views and being manipulated by his girlfriends mobster father who wants him dead." then, finally, he looks at Betty "and she, she makes all those things, all those crappy things, almost look like the good life. You both know how that's not true." He closes his eyes, finally falling silent after saying so much, and then looks back at them, waiting for a response.

"She really needs some help guys, I think that we need to sit down and talk with her." Archie says with a sad voice, and the two nod.

Veronica chuckles sadly, "Heck, we all need some help, but I agree with you on that one Archie." she sighs.

Jughead was just about to call an ambulance after all that fuss he made when out of the blue the three of them hear, "Uh... Hey guys? Jughead? Jug... Jug can you... can you guys help me sit up?" being whispered confusingly.

All three of them look down at the floor, and to their delight see none other than Betty Cooper herself, eyeing all of them quite sadly. Archie and Veronica give a firm pull on the hands they held while Jughead supports her back from behind as they get her into a sitting position. Once Betty is sitting up, Jughead maneuvers his body around to sit and face her with an inquisitive and concerned look.

"Hey there Juliet, you gave us quite the scare there." He says softly, and then leans in close to her ear and whispers, "I'm really worried about you. This was the worst one yet, Betts. You were out cold for about 5 minutes this time. I honestly almost called the squad."

After giving her a quick once-over, he places a hand on her cheek, and Betty leaned into his hand, appreciative of the calming gesture from her boyfriend.

"Oh calm thyself, my sweet Romeo. I'm alright, there was no harm done." She says softly, almost too softly in fact for the liking of the three people sitting in front of her.

"Betts, can you look at me? Try to focus your eyes on me for a sec." He says more sternly as he tries to place both his hands on her face so that he can hold her head still enough for her to look at him. After a moment, she finally focuses on him and nods.

"What's the last thing you remember, Betty?" He questions her, hoping that he dosn't need to remind his girlfriend all over again of something that would cause her more pain, and possibly hurt her more.

Betty thinks for a second then says, "Finding Kevin and..." she starts, but then a pained expression creeps up onto her face and tears start to fill her eyes as she begins recalling the scene from earlier.

He nods, "I know. I'm sorry about that, honey. Just try and breath, ok? My dad should be here soon. Are you ok to stand up so we can take you home? Get some sleep maybe?" Jughead asks, hoping to ease Betty into a state of calm once more.

"I did have one thi..." Betty starts.

"Wait!" Veronica pipes up, and the group looks over at her.

"What's up V?" Betty says, wear evident in her tone.

Veronica puts a hand on bettys arm, "Betty, I'm so sorry. I had no idea about most of the stuff that was going on with you, and I just..." she pauses, clearly upset.

"V, I know, and it's ok." Betty assures Veronica, and then looks back at Jughead.

"Listen, Jug. I think I... I think I need to... it's just... my family is just..." Her eyes start to water up with emotion, and she is looking down at the floor.

Jughead sighs, still staring at her, and then he looks at Archie and Veronica. "Hey guys, can you go wait outside for my dad and give us a minute?" He asks.

"Sure thing Jug. Come on Arch." Veronica replies, wanting to help give the couple some space.

Once they are gone, Jughead adjusts himself so he is sitting next to betty on the floor and places a comforting hand around her back. "Hey there, slow down and take a deep breath, ok? Just take your time Betty, what are you trying to say exactly?" He says, sounding a little worried.

"Well... I'm saying that I think I really need to get emancipated, or at least get away from my family's reach." She sighs "I was hoping your dad would be willing to... unofficially be my legal guardian? It makes sense because my dad is dead, my mom and sister are... severely unstable, and they currently are not really great for my mental health or my well being." She pauses, and tries taking another breath, almost wheezing, "What's worse is that, even if there is any small hope of us saving them, it still would be awful to live with them. Look Jug, your family is the only real family that I have left to call my own when it comes to relatives anymore. So... yeah, I was hoping that it would be ok with you if I ask him?" she says, in a voice that sounds utterly broken, leaving Jughead speechless.

"Do you remember that camping trip? The one that the four of us took together before Archie got arrested. When I told you that from now on, that we were parters, in serpents, in life, all of it?" He asks softly while looking contemplatively at Betty, almost like he debating about something in his head with himself.

"Jug?" She asks, confused.

"Betts, when we were doing those quests last night, I was so scared... I was so scared because last night there was a real chance that you were going to die from that poison. The whole time after Veronica's challenge was over, I just kept seeing all of the things that we'd possibly never get to do, and how much I wanted to say to you just in case anything happened to one us. I never have had a lifetime of opportunities almost be taken away from me before, until that moment. Then watching you go through your father getting shot... that just made me realize how much you've gone through for so long, and how strong you are now because of it. The worst thing about it though, was having to watch your father pull a gun on you. That just... that just made me see the all of the damage that your parents have done to you. Betty, You are the most independent person I know, and I think a lot of that independence was placed on you because of them." He says slowly

"What are you saying Juggie?" Betty asks

"What I'm saying is, why get emancipated when you can just join my family. I'm saying that us almost dying made me realize the one thing I want the most." He takes a deep breath, let's it out, and then says, "... I'm saying marry me, Betty."

"What?" Betty breaths and then grins, still a tiny bit confused. Jughead takes her head in his hands and chuckles nervously.

"Your family is clearly hurting you a lot, I love you a lot, and I don't want to end up never getting the chance to..." he stops himself, closes his eyes, looks at her, then adds, "Elizabeth Cooper, will you marry me?"

"Yes" she says, breaking into a grin and nodding, he breaks into one as well seemingly relieved, "Yes Juggie, I will." she breaths.

He pulls her in for a deep kiss, and after they break apart they just sit there on the floor a second with their foreheads still pressed close together, before they lean in for another short kiss.

"Let's get you home, Betts." he whispers and then helps her up, making sure she is stable on her feet.

They start to leave, but when they head for the door, they stop dead in their tracks. To their surprise they see the stunned, silent, and utterly confused faces of Archie, Veronica, and Fp all standing in the doorway staring at them. Silently and truthfuly quite dumbfounded, Jughead and Betty just look back at each other and then to the group.

"How long were you all standing there?" Jughead inquires

"Well, we really just waited outside the door... we found your dad outside it already." Veronica says with a grin on her face.

Jughead nods. "When did you get here dad? Jughead asks slowly.

"Around when you were telling Archie and Veronica about what's been going on with Betty." he says, then looks at Betty with a pained expression on his face, "I'm so sorry Betty, no one should be through that much." he adds.

"We had a feeling Betty wanted to be safe and far away from her mom and sister, possibly even emancipated... but you Jug, your response shocked us." Archie says, also grinning.

Fp looks like he has a sad grin on his face, almost empathetic. "Come here Jug, you too Betty." Fp says as he opens his arms.

Jughead and Betty make their way up the stairs and give Fp a hug, "Are you ok son? I was so worried about you guys." Fp asks the beanie wearing teen that is holding onto him.

Jug takes a moment and then looks over at Betty, "I think I'll be just fine. Long crazy night into... still crazy morning." He tells his dad.

Fp then looks to Betty, "I'm so sorry about everything Betty, and welcome to the family." he wispers as he engulfs her in a bear hug.

"Thank you so much, Fp." She whispers back.

"Come on guys, we all need some rest, let's meet up with Toni and Cheryl at my house." Jughead says, then based off the look that his father gives... adds " and don't worry dad, I said they would be kicked out of the gang if they woke JB up." he smirks, proud of himself.

Fp smiles, "Good job boy!" he says, clearly happy about that
