I wake up from my nap. It is about 3pm, and I am ready for my shift in the hospital.

'Are you awake, Jack?' A female voice asks me with a worried tone.

I force myself up, and see Jill standing there.

'I am now.' I reply with a sigh. 'What seems to be the problem?'

'San Christobel's just been cordoned off.' Jill confirms, worried. 'They just brought a woman in, and it looks like there might be something inside her chest.'

I feel the urge to giggle, but upon noticing that Jill has a serious look on her face, I resist said urge. She is about my age (36), and like me, she is a nurse. We are absolute best friends, and even though we are different skin colours (she's white, I'm black), we consider ourselves to be joined at the hip.

'What were you able to find out?' I ask, curious.

'Couldn't find out anything.' Jill admits with a sigh.

'Can blame Waits for that.' I sigh as I put my shoes on. 'You know what he's like, as the moment something big happens, he shuts down.'

Jill nods, and we make our way out of the chamber. I proceed to sort myself out, and once that is done, we make our way down to San Christobel.

And sure enough, it is cordoned off.

'Authorised personnel only beyond this point.' Waits says as he walks over.

'We are authorised.' I reply with a sigh. 'Can you please let us through?'

Waits nods with a sigh, and we make our way through. The patient is still alive, and Dr Linguard is trying to figure out a way to extract the parasite.

Well, the first parasite.

You see, in less than 24 hours, Sevastopol is going to be overrun by xenomorphs. Jill won't survive, but I will, eventually making it back to Earth.

In about 200,000 years.

You see, I am not Human. This is important information, as I am from Sirius B, and we have had contact with Earth for millions of years, to the point where we now look Human thanks to gene splicing.
