-Kari's pov-

"Hey, where's Starlight? There's something I want to ask her. She's here right? Whoa… Ow! That noise! "I covered my ears, right before a large metal crate crashes next to me. Startled I look up at the mech, who drop that crate. Realizing it was Starlight's uncle. Don't ask how it works. I'm not really sure how either…

"How do you know about Starlight...? And about us...? We've never even met you. Please tell me…. Have you seen her?" I look up cautiously at Scavenger, as he questioned me. I noticed he had tears in his optics. Did something bad happen to her?

Wait a minute… Why do I suddenly feel so worried and afraid? And possibly regret? I think I might've screwed up somehow. By saying her name. I couldn't breathe, as I slowly realize this wasn't a…

" Wait… This is a dream... right? But she's usually in it... I mutter the last part, so no one can hear. Then I started to back away slowly. As the bot named Jet Fire, I think. Inch his way closer to me. Making me a bit more nervous. Realizing that the giant alien robots are real and possibly not a dream.

" A dream? Hate to break it to you kid. But this isn't a dream. " why does it feel like he's glaring at me. Through that red visor. I should probably leave. He sounds super irritated.

" Um sorry… I just realized, I have to go. My foster Mom is super strict and tends to worry a lot. Its getting late. It was nice meeting you. Bye…" I couldn't take the tension anymore and ran out of there. Not realizing I was shaking like a leaf. When Jet Fire confronted me. And I didn't realize I drop my most precious treasure. It was the only thing I had, to remember by birthparents by.

" Hey wait! Don't go yet!" I heard Scavenger's voice filled with worry. Which made me want to stop for some reason but then I heard his large footsteps following behind. Realizing he could easily squish me, if he really wanted to. I decided to not make him angry.

" Scavenger, Let her go. She seems really afraid." Huh… I look back for a split second to see Optimus stopping Scavenger from following. And I felt relieved. As I left their base. Because I really didn't want to make Scavenger angry at me. He's family… Wait not mine… Starlight's.

-Scavenger's Pov-

"Right… Sorry Optimus. It's just… if she seen starlight. I need to know. Especially, If she's okay and more importantly safe from the decepticons. You do know what they would do to her… if they find out she's a neutral. And can't fight back. Considering how frail she is." Please Primus keep her safe. She's the only family I got left. She's a good kid.

"I know old friend. We'll find her. I promise." I hope your right Optimus. I really do.

"Hey, I think she drop something. Maybe we should go return it?" She drop something? I look over at our human friend Carlos, to see what the girl had dropped. It can't be... My optics widen in shocked, as I stared at Starlight's most precious gift from her creators. There's no mistaking it. But more importantly, why is it smaller then normal?

"Hey isn't that Starlight's?" Hot Shot had confusion written all over his face. When he asked me. And he has every right to be. How did this human femme have it… Starlight's most precious treasure?

" Yes, its belongs to Starlight. But how did she… have it? " Does that mean she's still alive? I look at Optimus, hoping he let me go follow the kid. So I can ask her, all of the questions floating in my mind.

"Whose Starlight? I don't think we met her before. " I noticed Alexis asked Optimus, instead of me. Probably because I look completely drain from worry.

"In human terms, she's Scavenger's niece. She mysteriously disappeared 16 Earth years ago. We're not entirely sure, what happen. We're hoping she's okay and safe from the Decepticons. "Optimus took a deep sigh. And he lowered his helm, in deep thought for a split second. Then looked at Rad and Hotshot. As Rad takes Starlight's treasure, to examine it.

"Rad, go with Hotshot and try to find out what you can. About how she knows Starlight and where she got Starlight's belonging. Also make sure to keep a low profile. And Scavenger get some rest. You look stressed out. "I let out a deep sigh as I headed back to my room. Knowing Optimus is right. Knowing I wouldn't have a clear head. If I went to question the kid.

"Thanks Optimus and keep me updated. "As Hot shot and Rad left the base. I prayed to Primus. They find her first… before the cons do.
