This is a remake of the first chapter to this fic. Enjoy.
In the vast space where anything goes, a shuttle flies through the galaxy in search of needs.
A need for gold, diamonds, and most of all…..sport.
It needed it all.
The galaxy itself was cast enough for any traveler from different dimensions to go from one place to another. Not all worlds, but some with the capability.
In this case, the shuttle is capable of doing so, as it is being piloted by the infamous sport hunter name Safari Joe, along with his trusty sidekick Mule, a robot train.
In the main pilot seat, Safari Joe laughs.
His laughter was that of pure joking and coincidence.
He was forbidden to hunt those that are innocent by the demand of the Thundercats, whom he tried to hunt down.
As such, although he cannot hunt for fun, he can hunt for benefit.
Safari Joe laughed, as he said to Mule, "A swell good job, say Mule? Not only did we capture three aliens today, but we managed to gain enough credits for a brand new gun. I always thought of buying a golden one".
"We are approaching Earth, Safari Joe", Mule replied.
"Eaaaaaarth? What kind?"
"Earth, set around the 1400s".
"1400s say?"
"Yes,it seems we have encountered a parallel Earth".
"Interesting", He said, rubbing his chin, "So what does this Earth have that the others don't? Do they have any oddities that are worth our time?"
"Not certain, Safari Joe".
This seems to peak Safari Joe's curiosity, twisting his mustache and replying, "Hmm, then perhaps we should take a little visit. Perhaps we may encounter something that could be worth a fortune, Mule, land us to the nearest location".
Mule puffs more smoke and complies with the request, "Yes sir, Safari Joe".
"If this Earth has something", Safari Joe remarked, "Then it must have something of value to me".
( On Earth, somewhere in Japan ).
The night brooms over the large patch of field.
Not a single sound is heard, only for the flows of the water, and the creeks of toads.
The homes were dark, empty, and abandoned.
The wind pushes on into the darkness.
As for the living, toads remain in the fields. Fireflies come out and spread throughout the water field.
Two certain livinging individuals stood out.
They were walking on a dirt road, with one smaller and having black hair, while the other was taller and seemed to move slowly, unlike the small one who was walking a little faster.
Her name was Dororo, as she yawned and stretched, feeling the sense of tiresomeness.
The companion of hers, Hyakkimaru has no thoughts of dreary, as his face shows no emotion, besides a blank one.
Mostly due to his curse, preventing him from seeing anything.
In fact, half of his body is fake, except those that are not.
He can hear, but not understand.
He can feel a little, but not regenerate.
The only one who seems attached to him, one who understands him is Dororo.
After a long silent walk, Dororo finally spoke in a tired tone, "Aniki, I am getting awfully tired".
She yawned again.
"Maybe we should take a rest at the nearby tree, Aniki. What do you think?"
She looked up at him, who didn't respond.
Figure, she thought.
She looked back to the straight road, sighing to herself as the walking soon became a very hard day for them.
All she wanted was a place to rest. She doesn't care if it is simply just a tree or a patch of uncomfortable rocky land.
If it is something better than walking, then she'll take it.
Suddenly, they heard an odd sound and felt a great wind passing by them.
They stopped, as the sound became louder and louder, sounding like fire and wind swirling to each other.
They turned around and saw it ( In this case, Dororo ).
A shuttle, floating behind them as it is ready to land.
Dororo, reasonably enough, was startled and ran behind Hyakkimaru, who just stood there, still with the blank expression.
"Wha…what the hell is that?" Dororo asked, bewilder by the sight of it.
After everything she and Hyakkimaru had been through from ghouls, monsters, and spirits.
This one in particular was different.
It felt more…out of this world, from how it appeared to them.
As the huge gush of wind disappears, and the sound vanishes.
The shuttle finally landed and stayed still, until a door opened, releasing a metal ramp down.
Safari Joe stepped out, along with Mule.
Dororo was still puzzled by the sight of it, wondering what it was and who these strangers were.
Safari Joe and Mule approach them, until stopping.
He began to examine them, including the surroundings.
He then remarked, "Well I gotta hand it to this world, it does seem unique".
"What should we do with these…strangers?" Mule asked Safari Joe, puffing Steam and pointing at Dororo and Hyakkimaru.
"Aniki, I know we encounter a lot of things, but this is getting weird", Dororo whispers to him, glancing back at them.
"Hmmm, perhaps these individuals could be useful as…ummm…prisoners. What do you think?"
"By the sight of it, the cost for these individuals would be one hundred credits".
"One hundred?!" Safari Joe asked, sounding a bit surprised by it, "For a little girl and a random male one?"
"It is said so on the ad", Mule replied, puffing more steams.
Safari Joe thought of this, as despite the cost he knows it could bring in more, if these certain individuals possess something unique.
And he does seem to notice, as he saw how Hyakkimaru's arm looks very….wooden.
As such, Safari Joe grinned and laughed, which made Dororo hide behind Hyakkimaru swiftly.
"Hahahahahahahaha! Well even with that price", Safari Joe then pulled out his gun, aiming it at Hyakkimaru, whose blank expression changed to hesitate and cautious, as his fake arm came off, revealing a blade. Both of his arms, as Dororo catches them.
"Let's try to make the price be more….larger, shall we?!" Safari Joe begins to fire.
Hyakkimaru, not knowing the weapon he is facing, tries to dodge as if it is the same as an arrow.
He does this for one, two, and three.
Avoiding getting shot.
Dororo watches, as Safari Joe continues to fire more.
Having no idea how to defeat this enemy, she quickly pushed Hyakkimaru down into the field, again avoiding the shot.
Safari Joe heads to the right where they fell and aims, only to see nothing, due to the darkness surrounding the field.
"Mule!" Safari Joe called out, "Get me everything from the weapon room. We are going hunting today, Mule. And this one is an interesting prey".
