"I don't want to waste my eternal days repeating...and I know you're listening..."

Though I was on the balcony of my mansion, I felt like I was in the place humans call Hell.

Enjoying the balls of fire in the sky, I pointed out constellations and other miscellaneous drawings.

My gaze rested on the giant sphere the sun lightened up from behind.

'Copernicus discovered the heliocentric theory somewhere between 1508 and 1514. I would think the Puritans would've thought logically when seeing a person in the woods, trying to figure out the mathematics and science behind such amazing creations.'

I sighed, "How unfortunate for those who were accused of witchcraft and burned to death simply because of the want for knowledge."

Now that I think of it, men's knowledge isn't lady-like, or to be frank, "forbidden" towards women.

I'm not a feminist-the term first appearing in France and Netherlands, 1890 for Britain-but I feel I have the right to learn whatever the hell I want.

'Perhaps she was right...not her original words, but...'

"All men are equal" my ass..." I mumbled.

I could've chosen to live anywhere else-Italy or Japan, but...I just couldn't leave behind their foundation.

I even had the option of staying in England...

But it's not like I could receive help from the dead.

Should that...entity ever come back to finish what it started, I am well prepared to deal with it.

"I am what I am. I can't follow every rule, but I can do what I think is right. As long as I've been here, I've been fond of and generous to humans..."

The wind blew lightly, which made me give a soft smile and it made my white spaghetti-strapped nightgown brush against my ankles.

"...Please, I want to have a chance to. Just please..."

"And you have one..." a voice said behind me.

Feeling no fright, I remained still as I kept my hands together in a side clasp and I looked straightforward, seeing my garden filled with purple and white tulips.

"Who are you," I demanded.

"Turn around and let me introduce myself," the voice said.

I didn't trust who the person was behind me, I knew one thing...they were no Angel sent to answer my prayers.

I slowly turned to see a black cloak over the intruder and his aura gave off foulness.

"My name is Ash Landers and I hear that you want to be in God's good graces, hm?"

"...Yes, I do. Why do you want to know?" I responded, then asked suspiciously.

"Because I was sent for your aid," he said with a smile that wasn't supposed to be on an angel's face.

"Wrong. You're a Fallen Angel," another voice said.

A man came into my view as he tried to harm the so-called Angel with a Cutlass sword, but he got away.

Turning around, the "Fallen Angel" flared out...black wings, concluding that he was one.

"He's not getting away that easily," the man beside me said and threw the Cutlass at the flying Fallen Angel.

It pierced him right in the middle of his chest, and he fell from the sky, like the Greek story, The Fall of Icarus.

'How ironic...He's fallen from grace, yet he intended on helping me when he can't even help himself.'

He must've been the last remnants of whatever destroyed him.

The mysterious man who had dark brown hair with a soft sapphire gaze turned towards me and smiled softly.

"Forgive me for the intrusion for he and I. He was my list for a while now. Thank you for stalling him. Please, wait for me inside until I come back to explain?"

Trusting this man's words, I walked back inside and left the brown framed with glass slightly open.

'...Did you hear my prayer?'

(Edit - 8/28/20: I see that when I began this story in 2017, my skills as a writer have...gotten better. So, I've been going through a Black Butler phase as of late... Actually, I've been going through many anime phases as of late. Anyway, if you read the A/N, you know what's up. Enjoy.

12/20/20 Edit: Geez, Louise. I was such a...*cringe* I can't even. Despite the tackiness of the beginning, I still like the fact of how I had so much inspiration to write this.)
